Thank you for staying with us Sarah, I hope the rest of your tour was a safe one considering the horrendous weather we had Christmas/New Years. I am sorry you didn't read the house rules before booking or the hard copy left at the house. We appreciate you washing your towels, although it wasn't necessary. Using the hot tub requires chemicals and we ask, in our house rules, that you turn the heaters off downstairs and turn the upper thermostat to low when you leave. The heaters on the lower floor, in the master, were on obviously because it's the master suite and that's usually where folks stay. Before your stay, I let you know that the upstairs furnace would be on low as no one would be at the house for at least 3 days prior, that seemed to be OK with you at the time. Our rates are low, around $75 a night for a 3 bed/3 bath house with hot tub on Flathead Lake. For that price, we cannot afford to heat the house for days on end when no one is there. I called 2 friends in the area to go over to the house but they were not able to go, so, I drove from Hot Springs, a 2 hour drive with the bad weather, to the house and back, and found 1/2 the lights downstairs left on, along with the heaters. I don't think the $25 charge was out of line considering the circumstances, the cold weather, and the fact that it is listed in our house rules. I hope you can understand this. Thanks again and have a safe and healthy New Year.
