This is the down stairs of two apartments in the 200-year-old stone house, with stunning views over the mountains and river in the Ardèche countryside. We rent privately and have lovingly restored the property to retain all its original charm.
Here is our lower floor:
Our natural stone house has two separate apartments.
The upper apartment is advertised separately. The description is at the end of this text.
We are, at the present time, on holiday. In our absence, Marion is taking care of the house.
Both apartments have their own entrances, private terraces and garden areas and can be used completely separately. The entrances and garden areas are on different sides of the building, so that you are undisturbed. However, if you want to rent the whole house, a staircase that connects the two apartments can be opened up.
A typical southern French garden with lavender, figs, oleander, rosemary and much more. You may also like to use the herbs for cooking.
Lower floor: a large kitchen with a cosy corner sofa, dining table, gas stove with oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and all the necessary and important equipment for enjoyable holiday cooking. A large bedroom with a 180 cm bed and a sofa bed (140 cm), and a small bedroom with a 120 cm bed and room for another mattress. The sofa in front of the fireplace in the living room can also be used for sleeping (140 cm). The large bedroom leads from the kitchen to the bathroom and the small bedroom. If you do not want to be bothered, you can also go around the large bedroom and use the side entrance to go to the bathroom or small bedroom.
A balcony and Mediterranean garden in front of the house with views over the valley to the south. The apartment is heated with wood-burning stoves in the cold season. Washing-machine in the cellar, barbecue, garden furniture, child’s highchair and cot.
Dogs are welcome. Please bring their own bed and food bowls.
Parking directly at the property.
Internet is also available.
Upper floor: kitchen with dining table, fridge with freezer, gas stove with electric oven, dishwasher, stove, and all the necessary and important equipment for enjoyable holiday cooking. Large living room with a balcony, which has a magnificent view to the south. The living room has a fireplace, a large sofa, which is also suitable for one person to sleep, and two people can additionally sleep on a sofa-bed on the gallery. A bedroom with a 160 cm bed and a 140 cm bed (because of the space, this will soon be made into two bedrooms).
Shower and toilet. It is heated in the winter months with stoves that provide a comfortable warmth. A washing-machine can be found in the cellar. A child’s highchair and a travel cot are also available. A small Mediterranean garden and a terrace with outdoor seating and a charcoal grill can be found next to and behind the house.
There are no fences around the plot: the plot of the house includes the meadow with a fig tree and herb and flower beds in front of the house and the small meadow below next to the house up to the stone staircase (this is the part of the garden for the ground floor); the wooden deck, herbal and floral terraces above the side and rear of the house, as well as the stone terrace behind the house are part of the garden for the upper floor.
Everything else belongs to the neighbouring properties. The path that connects the houses also runs in front of our house (we can also use the path in front of their houses). The neighbours may use it. This rarely happens.

Answers to questions and information is provided via telephone or e-mail. We are sometimes in the other apartment at the same time, but that is only the case once or twice a year. Marion takes care of the house in our absence. If important questions arise, you can also contact her.
