Valley Vista Getaway RV Site

We welcome you to camp on our property and take advantage of our observatory to view the night skies. We are located in a Bortle 1 dark sky area. Astronomers bring your telescopes, cameras and computers to set-up in our roll-off roof observatory only steps away from our RV site.

Bring your own self-contained camper to stay on our property in our full hook-up RV site.

✔️ Our RV site can accommodate small to
large RVs.

✔️ FHU site with 30 and 50 amp plug-ins
available, well water and septic tank
sewer. WiFi available and satellite
friendly.

**Guests will need to bring a long water hose (75' recommended) and a long sewer hose (30' recommended) to be able to access the water and sewer. **

✔️ RVs must be self-contained. There are
no bathrooms, laundry or picnic tables
available.

✔️ Our property sits at an elevation of 4,222
ft. overlooking the San Simon Valley with
views of the Chiricahua Mountains on the
Arizona border and the Peloncillo
Mountains in New Mexico.

✔️ We are located only 15 minutes away
from Rodeo and Animas, New Mexico
and Portal, Arizona.

✔️ Valley Vista Getaway sits on 10 acres of
high desert. We also have a tiny house
(400 sq. ft.) on the property that can
comfortably sleep 2 that can be rented.

**We will not rent out both at the same time because of the close proximity of the house and RV site unless folks are traveling together and wish to use both the house and RV site.**

Hello, we are Cathy & John. Welcome to Valley Vista Getaway!

We came to the San Simon valley a couple of years ago for the dark skies and ended up liking the area. When this tiny house came up for sale, we bought it to winter here and after building our observatory to share it with others looking for dark skies or other outdoor opportunities in the area.
.
Normally we live full-time in our motorhome travelling around the country. So far, we have been to 42 different states.
.
We hope you get some awesome photos of the night sky or get the chance to see a bird you've never seen before. Oh, yeah, and maybe take some time to relax and check out the sunrises over the Peloncillo Mountains or the sunsets over the Chiricahua Mountains.
