Your health is important to us! For the protection of our guests and our house cleaning staff, Moose Meadows Lodge is currently operating under the Grand County COVID-19 Suppression Plan. In short, we are allowing a minimum 24-hour rest period with adequate sanitizing and disinfecting between guests as per CDPHE guidelines (Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment). We will also do our best to keep hand sanitizer available.

Moose Meadows Lodge is calling your name! We are excited to share our new handmade aspen log dining table with you! We can now seat eight! So bring up the family and friends to enjoy the snow-covered beauty of the Rocky Mountains!

We are also announcing our newly finished lower level! You'll love our new living space, as it features an area for children's games and a roomy beautifully-tiled bathroom with a large shower! Come to escape the hustle and bustle of the city! Soak in the breath-taking scenery that surrounds you! Enjoy the springs of Hot Sulphur Springs, sip some coffee at the local coffee shops, and browse the unique stores in downtown Grand Lake!

No matter the season, the Grand Lake area offers something for everyone! You'll enjoy your time in the summer, whether you're dirt biking, hiking, fishing, road biking, golfing, or boating (boat launch minutes away on the opposite side of the highway). Grand Lake offers a small beachfront and we offer the beach towels, so no need to pack those bulky items! Additionally, if you appreciate live theatre, we've got that too! (Unfortunately, cancelled for summer 2020.)

Winter activities also abound! Choose from cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, ice fishing, skating, tubing, and downhill skiing! Check out the Grand Lake Nordic Center! We've got sledding saucers available for hours of outdoor fun on our neighborhood hill! For you snowmobile enthusiasts, we are located just 200 yards off County Rd. #4, which is the main road that accesses the snowmobile trails. With enough snowfall, one can drive the snowmobiles from the lodge to the trails!

After a day of activity, come back to the cabin to relax on the wrap-around deck. Grill up your freshly caught fish or some burgers on the Weber grill! Sip some refreshing lemonade in the summer or keep cozy indoors with a mug of hot cocoa by the fireplace during the winter! We set up a new fire pit outside last summer (complete with marshmallow sticks) for roasting hot dogs and melting s'mores!

In the unlikely event the weather keeps you indoors, we've supplied a cure for boredom: multi-generational reading materials and games, jigsaw puzzles, kid's toys and stuffed animals, Sudoku puzzles, and crossword puzzles. Or keep those kids busy by baking cookies with Grandma! Bring your login information and log into your favorite streaming services on our three new Roku TVs. We also share a DVD player and library.

We feature three bedrooms (two queen and one twin over full bunk bed) and one bathroom on the main floor. Both queen beds have pillow-top mattresses. A spacious master bedroom awaits you upstairs. Sleep comfortably in the king-sized bed and enjoy the double vanity and separate bath and shower of the master suite. A loft area offers room for family games or relaxation. Send the kids downstairs for fun and games (and some peace and quiet for you !) Here they will find a play area, a new Roku TV, a large comfy couch, and our third bathroom (and shower). The vaulted ceilings of the living and dining rooms and the two large glass patio doors contribute to the beautiful views of the distant Lake Granby and Rocky Mountains. A washer and dryer (along with laundry detergent) are conveniently located on the main floor. Moose Meadows Lodge is the ideal place to come and disconnect from the world, but If you need to stay connected to civilization, high speed wireless internet is available for your convenience.

The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the utensils and cooking supplies you'll need, whether you'll be cooking for a crowd or simply enjoying a light breakfast with coffee. You'll find a Corning top range, refrigerator with ice and drinking water dispenser, dishwasher, microwave, coffee-maker, and toaster, as well as dishes, drinking glasses, silverware, pots, pans, and wine glasses. We also supply an array of coffees and teas to start your day!

Inside the two-car garage you'll find sledding saucers and a set of golf clubs for your use!

Grand Lake, Kolorado, Stany Zjednoczone

The town of Grand Lake is the western gateway to the Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP). RMNP is among the ten oldest national parks in the United States. It boasts more than 100 peaks above 11,000 feet! Trail Ridge Road (Highway 34) runs through the Park and is famous for being the highest continuously paved highway in the United States (12,183 feet). It is a scenic and invigorating 40-mile drive! The road is open from Memorial weekend through fall when the snows appear. However, during the winter months, the road is only open for ten miles into the Park.

Grand Lake is Colorado's largest natural body of water. Home of the world's highest registered yacht club and the nation's highest altitude golf course with grass greens, it is also adjacent to Arapaho National Recreation area. Grand Lake has been dubbed the Snowmobile Capital of Colorado due to its access from town to Colorado's largest network of groomed snowmobile trails. A year-round vacationer's paradise for over 100 years, Grand Lake awaits you!

Moose Meadows Lodge is located near other homes in an HOA-controlled community (see photos). It is a safe community in which to enjoy those early morning walks or runs (great hills available). In the winter, the community sledding hill, just a few yards away, will provide hours of fun for both adults and kids! Additionally, snowmobile and ATV trails are easily accessed. Arapaho National Forest is just 2.5 miles up Highway 4 from the lodge.

Brian and Lola are the proud new owners of this wonderful lodge! Both grew up in the Midwest, but have called Colorado their home for many years. Recently retired from the public school system, they are busy enjoying this new chapter in their lives: travel, hiking, genealogy, golf, reading, biking, hunting, and the bes (Website hidden by Airbnb) grandparenting! They are the grandparents of a rambunctious two-year-old grandson and a sweetheart of a granddaughter who is nearly a year old. Having fallen in love with the nostalgic Grand Lake area when she first moved to Colorado 40 years ago, Lola has long dreamed of owning a cabin in the area to share with family and guests. She had no trouble convincing Brian to share in this dream. They love the fresh, clean air of the Rocky Mountains, the old wooden boardwalks of Grand Lake, the many wildlife sightings, and the lake itself, which reminds them of "home". Brian and Lola feel so blessed to now be able to call this their second home!
