We are constantly trying to offer a good host service and a proof of it is the all 33 positive reviews that we have so far.
Unfortunately, we must agree it wasn’t a pleasant experience, the first we had in 2 two years of Airbnb. Guest didn’t read the rules, that, as he mentions, are not only printed out but also listed on the website.
For our own safety and the safety of other guests, we do not permit unauthorised people to be brought to the apartment. If it is not dealt through Airbnb in advance, it isn’t allowed. Mr. Zych and his wife invited a friend to come over, without asking for permission. They set themselves in the kitchen to drink wine and spend a long time, in a facility that is shared with other guests (other guests complaint about that). We reassure the place isn’t suitable for children. But, we, innocently, thought that making an exception and accepting a 2 years old child with them would be of a good help when he asked. What we didn’t see coming was that they would make it an excuse to leave the child sleeping alone in the bedroom to spend the evening drinking wine in the kitchen with the unauthorised guest. We were obliged to contact Airbnb Support because Mr. Zych and his wife were not understanding the situation and their response towards us were quite cheeky. The case managers of Airbnb Jean and Aidam tried to get in contact with Mr. Zych but they weren’t able to speak to them as calls and text messages weren’t replied.
My message to Mr. Zych and his wife is that when you are stay in an Airbnb, you are staying in someone’s home, please respect their guidelines the same you would like to be respected in your own home.
