Beautiful 1860s style Victorian house, lovingly renovated but maintains many original features, in Dublin's most sought-after city centre neighbourhood, amidst award winning restaurants & cafes. One of the most charming properties on offer. 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sitting room, kitchen, dining room, garden at front and rear, wifi throughout & free on-street parking. 15 min walk to the main tourist sites. 5 min walk to the best restaurants. 1 min walk to the best coffee!

Miejsce
The house is a wonderful blend of history and modern comforts. Approx 100 metre square, it has been recently renovated to a high standard with central heating, electric showers and all modern conveniences, but still retains many original features and an old world charm, combining the old and new in a considered manner.
It has an entrance hall, 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a sitting room with sofa and window seat, a kitchen with all modern appliances, large dining area that leads out to a back garden with outdoor seating, a front garden, wifi throughout & free on-street parking.
It's a beautiful space to use as a base to explore the city and rest after a busy day.

The house is located in Portobello, Dublin's historic Jewish Quarter and is the best location in the city centre - within walking distance of tourist and business areas, a real neighbourhood vibe, with beautiful tree lined streets, Victorian red brick houses and the best cafes, bars and restaurants (3 of which have been awarded the Bib Gourmand). The house is located on a quiet and residential street so you are close to the action but have a peaceful space to unwind.

Dublin, County Dublin, Irlandia

Portobello is Dublin's famous Jewish Quarter. The neighbourhood was developed in the 1800's with beautiful tree lined streets and Victorian red brick houses.

It has buckets of charm and history - it's the birthplace of George Bernard Shaw and the neighbourhood picked by James Joyce as Leopold Bloom's home in Ulysses.

In recent times Portobello has become an area known for its artistic community, great mix of cultures and a laid back vibe, with some of the city's best cafes, bars and restaurants (3 of which have been awarded the Bib Gourmand).

It’s the perfect place to stay to get a real experience of Dublin and was recently voted the best place to live in Dublin by Lovin Dublin online magazine !

Dublin City centre is relatively small and for a short trip the best area to hang out runs for about 2km (1.5 miles) south from the River Liffey to the Grand canal. See map in photos.

Portobello is at the south (canal end) of that area and is perfectly situated to take on the best of the city.

In terms of its location in the city, Portobello is:

A 10 minute walk to Camden Street (great area for vintage shops, bars, cafes and restaurants).

A 10 minute walk to St Patrick's Cathedral - holy site with 1500 years of myth and magic.

A 15 min walk to Georges St / South William St / Grafton St area (the main area to hang out in Dublin, its packed with great shops, bars, cafes and restaurants and close to the main tourist hot spots).

Another 5 minute walk north of Grafton st brings you to Trinity College - beautiful old campus where you can view the Book of Kells, one of Ireland's most famous tourist attractions.

A 5 minute walk to the North West of Grafton st brings you to Dublin Castle (13th century fortification and a great historic site).

Just across the road from Dublin Castle is Temple bar - sometimes called Dublin's cultural quarter.

A 5 minute walk to the East of Grafton st brings you to the Museum and Gallery area of Dublin - you will find the Little Museum of Dublin, RHA Gallery, National gallery, National library, Archeology museum, Natural History museum and the Georgian hub of Merrion Square.

All of the above is in an area about 1 to 2km (1 to 1.5 mile) from the house (with lots of lovely cafes and shops on the way). We generally recommend walking but there are also lots of buses that run various routes and the bus stops are 2 minutes walk from the house.

Oh, and don't forget the beautiful Grand canal, which is on your doorstep - a great place to hang out, read, drink, eat, walk and (if you are so inclined) go for a 5k run ...

We can give you lots of tips on what to see in Dublin to make your trip as interesting as possible :)

There's also a 24 hour gym, fantastic yoga studio, a pharmacy, supermarket, dentist and doctor within a few minutes walk of the house.
