Escape the hustle and bustle of O.C, just minutes away, to rejuvenate from your day. Take a walk, run, or a morning bike ride (I have bikes to lend). Relax under the stars toasting marsh mellows around the fire pit. Sit on my screened porch and enjoy a cup of coffee and a muffin while watching the hummingbirds ( pancakes on Sunday only 8:30 to 9:30am). Experience Assateague - a beach like no other - the pristine beach with wild horses.
Enjoy the best of both worlds the Eastern Shore has to offer! Begin or end your day with a walk, run, or a bike ride (I have bikes you can borrow) thru the peace and quiet of Bishopville, stopping to take in the view of Saint Martin's River. Then to the beach or boardwalk of Ocean City or to the island of Assateague where the beaches are pristine and the horses run free. My guests may use my parking pass to park at Assateague National Park - leaving a deposit of $40 - saving my guests $20. Please remember these are wild horses so enjoy them from a distance. Then on to historic Berlin, voted the Coolest Small Town in America, for great food, art galleries filled with local art, antiquing, and a taste of our local micro brewery. Berlin is also the setting for "Run Away Bride"(1998), and "Tuck Everlasting"(2000).
There is plenty to keep you busy just minutes away.
Now you are ready for a night of fun! Dining or dancing, there are so many options. And don't forget the Casino at Ocean Downs .
It's the best of all worlds!!
As my guest, you will enjoy a clean, comfortable bedroom with a ceiling fan, fresh linins, a closet and drawers if you need them. The bathroom is but a step from your room.
The back screened in porch is perfect for starting your day with the humming birds and a light breakfast of muffins, coffee, and frui(URL HIDDEN) ( pancakes only on Sunday 8:30 to 9:30 am) or ending your day relaxing under the stars.

As your host I will be available to help make your stay the perfect vacation - whatever that may mean to you. There is a binder filled with suggestions of the best we have to offer on the Eastern Shore. I'll give you your space, but am happy to visit and answer any questions you may have and to pass along recommendations of local hot spots! My guests have also left recommendations of what they enjoyed the best.
I have really enjoyed meeting the guests I have hosted and invite conversations if they are comfortable doing so.

Depending on when you visit, there are strawberries, blue berries, and peaches to pick ( peaches are the easiest fruit to pick!).
I have two cute, cuddly cats who are NOT EVER allowed in the guest room or bathroom. Parking is in my driveway or on the circle.
My home is not set up for children 10 and under, but if you have an older child please contact me and I may be able to be accommodating.
Check in time is 3 and check out time is 10am but I am flexible and may be able to work out times that are agreeable for everyone. This, however, must be discussed at least 1 day in advance. Guests and hosts must respect each other's space and be aware of each other's sleep time. Quiet time in the house is around 11pm . Please keep bedroom and bathroom doors closed to keep the cats out and turn off all lights when not in the room.:) No smoking. You are welcome to sit on my back porch to watch the hummingbirds up close or enjoy the soft cool evening breeze. My refrigerator on the back porch is stocked with water, soda, beer and wine (must show ID ). Donations for the beverages are greatly appreciated :) Please feel free to help yourself! Please take off your shoes before coming into my house. You can leave your shoes on the carpet inside the front porch. Bring slippers. If you are coming home from the beach please rinse off or shower in the back yard - a wonderful treat! (The sand is very hard on the septic system. ) The shower out side has both hot and cold water. If there is anything you need/want please talk to me and I'll see if we can accommodate you. Please no additional guests. Please don't take bath towels to the beach. If you forget towels, chairs, umbrella or cooler please let me know. I may be able to lend them to you. I also have 2 bikes that you may borrow

Hi, I'm Linda! During the school year, I work with special needs children in 7th and 8th grades. It is very rewarding knowing that I am making a difference in children's lives. In the summertime, I love to cook fresh seafood, and enjoy locally grown fruits and vegetables straight from the farm - and from my garden!
I love the Eastern Shore. I get to be a beach bum in Ocean City and Assateague, a gardener in my backyard, a reader relaxing on my back porch. My home is a quiet, relaxing haven away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
I have a unique perspective to offer my guests. After graduating from State University of New York, I traveled throughout the world, staying in hotels, hostels and private homes. As a host, I take pride in using my experiences to create a warm, inviting environment for my guests.
