Great little home without the expense of larger riads. We had a great time, everyone was very friendly and helped out with everything that they could. Even sorted out a local guide for us at about 400dhm for the day. Lovely room and terrace. Very close to the main parts of the Médina.

The Place was dirty and the surrounding is not nice, the only good thing was the terrace!!

Having seen a range of reviews, we were unsure of how Dar Tamo would be. After four days there, we would highly recommend it as base in Fes. The Canopy Room is a little palace and served us brilliantly. The space is gorgeous and the terrace lovely for the evenings and breakfast. Looking at other reviews, I feel I should note that we stayed at the end of September when the weather was a lot cooler (though still hot) and therefore didn't trouble us, though there was AC in the room. The medina is a nightmare to navigate but Dar Tamo - close to the Place Rcif - is not too hard to find using Maps.me (can't comment on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps) and one night the restaurant we were staying at sorted us out with a guide who walked us back. Soundproofing, as a few have mentioned, is not in abundance and you can hear a lot of what's going on in the building, but this doesn't override your overall experience of the space. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful - if you're into football, Hamza will be overjoyed to welcome you!

Very interesting experience we had at this riad. We were met on the road by the receptionist/host who when approached by a bag carrier said yes we would use his services when we said no, we got to the riad and was told we had to pay him, when we did the host said it was not enough so we had to give more so wasn't very impressed with that when we said no from the beginning. Then in the space of about an hour the host/receptionist told us about a tour many many times, as in at least 20 times even when we said we were not interested so was rather odd and put pressure on us to go on a tour but in his defence he may have been told to do this from his employer. We did have an unpleasant experience when we asked for recommendations for where to eat we said we were starving and we would like somewhere very close, he then walked us to an area which would have been over 20 minutes away and in the absolute worst part of Fes. We ended up refusing to eat where he took us as the food did not look safe. We had a feeling that he took us a long way away through confusing streets and to an unsafe part of the city so we would need him to take us back and then we would be able to charge us for his services. We could be wrong but we did not understand why else he would take us to this horrible area. In terms of the room itself, we had no issues at all, like many other riads it was pretty. The only small problem was that the beds are very hard and the towels smelt like body odour. Included breakfast which was good and communication by the host was very good. I would recommend only if you are on a budget and if you are very firm from the beginning that you will not sway to the pressure from the host and just use the room for a place to sleep.

It located in the middle of medina, and deeply inside the alley. Although it might be a little bit hard to find, it's worthy for me. The house and the room are beautiful and cosy, not to mention the perfect terrace. Also the stuffs are hospitality. I had really great time there.
