Deedy's Nest is a private freestanding home, with a large home feel, designed just for a couple. It has a large open plan living/dinning/kitchen area, bedroom with walk-in robe & iron/ironing board cupboard, spacious bathroom/laundry, study & tons of built in storage surrounded by over a 1000sqm of native gardens & tall gums. The Living, Bedroom and Study have huge windows with double sliding glass doors that look and walk out onto individual undercover decks through to the garden.
Just before I let you know all the great things about staying here and enjoying Mystery Bay - Pls Note;
For the more budget conscious you can bring your own Linen
**LINEN-Towels, beach towels & sheets-(extra cost) $30 on request**
.... as well as being one of the very few couples accommodations where you get to have the whole house and garden, to yourselves, to totally relax in ......
An easy stroll that will get you to the Main Beach or a 2km walk or drive thru national parks to 1080 Beach and much, much more unspoiled, natural bush , beaches & National Parks.
*** NB Couples Treat - No WIFI - if you can't bring yourself to turn it off or your partner wont put that device down - Mystery Bay is where you can get each others undivided attention & the outside world can't disturb you either "OFF THE GRID _ YAY!! " This also means that TV reception can be dubious - even less distractions)*** - 2 drawers of DVDs to select from or BYO
-Unfortunately, due to the proximity of the National Parks and the amount of wildlife in the area we are unable to accept pets of any kind.
Things to do in and around Mystery Bay
There are no shops at Mystery Bay & very poor media signals for that added seclusion, intimacy & really "get away from it all" feel.... and if long walks amongst the tall gums, national parks & beaches isn't enough
there is .....
Narooma just 10 minutes drive for restaurants and shopping (& more beaches)
Bermagui is 15 minutes in the opposite direction for more shops & beaches & fast gaining a reputation for it's coffee, restaurant & wine bar culture....
The historic town of Tilba is also only 10 minutes drive.....set at the bottom of Mt Gulaga for the more hardy walkers.....with a view at the top, or even half way, which is well worth the effort.

Inne ważne rzeczy
.....we recommend you bring your food supplies with you. Narooma (10 mins drive) or Bermagui (15 mins drive) have full shopping facilities & supermarkets if you need or forget anything.
We highly recommend keeping sliding fly screen doors shut at all times as coastal Australia is known for its mosquitoes & Mystery Bay is no exception!!
*** NB Couples Treat - No WIFI & poor TV reception***
(Mystery Bay is not serviced ... so no range - you can get a little range from the beaches ... & the odd text outside the house ... or go to the top of Mystery Bay Rd for full reception. Absolutely nothing on the OPTUS network, IN Mystery Bay, so top of Mystery Bay Rd is necessary )
We supply basic needs - a small amount of;
1. tea, coffee, sugar & milk
(coffee is instant - so if you like good coffee there is an Italian stove-top espresso maker. Same with tea bags - if you bring your favorite loose leaf tea, we supply tea pot with hand knitted cosy.)
2. condiments eg; salt, pepper olive oil spices and stock powders etc
3. Queen Bed has; mattress protector, 4 pillows with pillow protectors, 2 extra throw pillows with quilted covers for sitting up in bed & a doona with doona cover.
4. If you're supplying your own linen - (we recommend bringing) Queen size fitted & flat sheet, 2-4 pillowcases, bath towels, hand towel, bath mat & beach towels...
... We can supply all the above - Linen (sheets, bath towels, bath mats etc & beach towels) @$30 extra, on request, at booking time or AirBnB messaging at anytime.
ALSO NOTE; Our price per night is $120 p/n low season ( std rate) &
$145 p/n in high season.
High season is in Christmas/Jan hols
& Easter/April hols (ie approx 10 weeks of the year.
Other 42 weeks are at low season rate.
Generally - Love & care for it as much as we do :) .....
-Not suitable for pets due to no fencing & proximity to National Parks.
-No shoes inside; We have large awnings over all 3 entrances so it is easy to remove shoes out of the weather. We have also supplied a brush & small towel at the 2 main entrances for cleaning off wet sandy feet :) You might want to bring indoor shoes/slippers with you but as it's mostly carpeted, accept kitchen & bathroom, it won't be too problematic.
-No parties or events.... ie No bringing guests from outside for parties etc
(The house is for two people. Registered guests only).
*No drugs or alcohol abuse pls
*** ... & for some reason ??? although all our guests generally take great care of Deedy's Nest ..... the suitcases seem to get out of control and are scuffing the walls and benches ... if you could take a little extra care in this area it would be appreciated...
Thanks in advance. Janinka
My husband & I live on the Far South Coast of NSW, 10 mins drive from "Deedy's Nest" & Mystery Bay. Our passion is surfing, the beach, great outdoors, natural unspoiled environment & all the simple things life has to offer. Because we love it here we wanted our holiday home to be here too. This would allow us to get away from our regular domestic duties & responsibilities, fully relax & totally enjoy the pristine environment in which we live. After purchasing "Deedy's Nest" we decided to share her with other couples, during the times we weren't using it, and found that she was really well received! We also found we actually enjoyed sharing her & her environment.
