Our place is a charming country home just off the freeway. It is only a 9 mile drive to Gaylord, a 50 mile drive to Mackinaw, 14 miles from Tree Tops, and 18 miles from Boyne Mountain. The home is cozy and spacious in hopes to make you feel comfortable your entire stay.

Vanderbilt has a few "mom-and-pop" restaurants, gas stations, a small grocery store, and Dollar General. If you drive into Gaylord (9 miles) you will likely find all the stores and restaurants to meet general needs.

If you wish to shop or go out to eat it is a nine-mile, 13 minutes, drive into the town of Gaylord. Vanderbilt, the town we are located in, only has a dollar general, a few gas stations and a few mom and pop restaurants. We are not in a big town. We are somewhat remote so if you wish to shop or go out to eat you will have to drive 9 miles, 13 minutes, into the City of Gaylord.
