Our apartment is one flight of stairs on the second floor. It has a unique layout rarely seen in city apartments. Located in the heart of Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, our apartment is on the second floor of a three-story walk-up (stairs) building. It has two separate entrances from the hallway, one is a private entrance to the guest’s suite where you will be staying. The 400 square-foot guest’s suite has a living room (front parlor) next to it. The spacious two-window parlor has a small table with chairs, desk, chair with ottoman, an abundant of sunshine and a tropical indoor garden. This is a jungle oasis in the heart of the concrete jungle. (Images are outdated and the space has been elevated since then. Will update soon.)
In the guest suite there is a full size bed with two pillows, nightstand, lamp, ceiling fan with light, full size mirror, wall hooks, and a luggage rack. The suit is equipped with an individual AC unit for your comfort during summer months. Central heating is provided with radiators throughout the apartment during winter months. The front parlor opens to the common kitchen and bathroom area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a toaster oven, blender, teapot, and coffee maker. You may store food in the refrigerator, and cook at anytime, as long as you clean after yourself. The common kitchen and bathroom areas are shared with your hostes who reside on the opposite end of the apartment.
FULL MONTH RENTAL (FYI)
If your stay with us becomes a temporary month to month sublet, utilities will not be included. Your portion will be 1/3 of the monthly bills i.e. electric/gas & wifi. You will be responsible for your portion of utility payments, cleaning, and paying the rent by the first of the month. Total rent is $1350 which does not include a deposit of $1350.
Fresh linens and towels are provided for each guest. The apartment is smoke-free and thoroughly cleaned before your arrival. We provide free Wifi. There is a self-service and drop-off Laundromat next door, and posted laundry service fees for your convenience.
Please remove your outdoor shoes at the entrance of the apartment. Unfortunately pets are not allowed in building (but we love animals). No smoking anywhere indoors. Be considerate of other residents: avoid making unnecessary or loud noises while in the building. Also please be considerate of the space you will be staying, pick up after yourself. If there is a problem please do not hesitate to notify us. We are here to help you in anyway.
We care very much about our place and aim to keep it tidy, clean, and organized, and provide our guest with a calm and relaxed atmosphere. We would very much appreciated that you observe the house guidelines with regard to use of outdoor foot-ware indoors, smoking, noise and use of the kitchen area. Smoking is not permitted indoors, however there is a bench located in the entrance of the building by the rose garden.
