Darragh's place is a fantastic, fun, and funky little place right above Carroll's Pub in Galway... the space was definitely a highlight of our trip. As expected, and mentioned in the listing, there is a little bit of noise as the space is over a pub, but nothing some earplugs didn't fix for us and our companions. Plenty of space for myself and my three other traveling companions. Plus, it is in a great spot in Galway, within walking distance to the Latin Quarter and the Quay Bar, the Cathedral, as well as to the Aran Island Ferry Office, which has a shuttle to the Ferry if you want to go and visit the islands for a day. And Carroll's pub is a fantastic place, with music (at least on the days we were there), and a great outdoor space where one can enjoy a beer, or grab a pizza at the "Crust Bucket"--a super cool, retrofitted double decker bus behind the pub. Darragh was a little bit hard to get a hold a few days prior to arrival, which was a bit concerning as we unsure of the damage that occurred during hurricane, and was unsure of how hard Galway was hit (and we had limited phone/internet capabilities). However, he did eventually respond to emails prior to arriving to check-in, and once we checked-in the staff at the pub were super helpful and communicative. If you are looking for a fun experience in a great locale, this is the place for you! Thanks Darragh!
