Come and relax in the Pacific Ocean breeze, watching rolling waves, admiring my gardens. Walk on a beach where you likely won't meet anyone, watch a bald eagle fish his dinner, laugh at the otters playing right in front of you! Reflect with the grey heron perched on seaweeds. Cook great food on our Webber BBQ or the fully equipped large and open kitchen, or enjoy privacy in your own room with its own balcony. Quiet, private, beautiful oceanfront home in a rural area just outside Victoria.
Our oceanfront architect designed home is a unique combination of wood, slate and glass taking full advantage of the breath-taking views of the ocean, the Olympic Mountains across the Juan de Fuca straigth and a beautifully English garden. Spacious, open living space for entertaining, relaxing, the indoor and outdoor flow into each other. Nothing repairs from travelling like soaking in the hot tub watching the night sky.
The cathedral ceiling in the dining and living rooms create a sense of space and excellent acoustics if you play our Heintzman piano or like to sing.
The three (3) separate bedrooms, each having its own balcony and its own private bathroom provide lots of privacy to everyone in your party. All beds have down duvet.
You will have access to the entire two upstairs floor, a total of 2200 sqft. The front yard is deer fenced to allow us and you to enjoy a carefully tended English garden while looking at the ocean and relaxing in an Adirondak chair.

I am an avid gardener and Iyengar yoga teacher, retired from teaching philosophy and Religious Studies in colleges and after also having a stint as an administrator. I divide my time more or less equally between Victoria and Salt Spring, teaching in Victoria during the cooler months and gardening in Salt Spring in summer. With my husband, we have been to China several times, Tibet, Vietnam, many European countries, and Mexico and USA. We visit our families in Quebec annually. We have been hosting international guests for years: initially we hosted students, then travellers. WE have travelled staying with people around the world: every single experience a new and enriching one.
I try to live by the motto of compassion towards others. Generosity takes us on a turning wheel: we give and we will receive.
