Built with earth block and wood, this home has a warm and inviting character, surrounded by native forest, you will relax to the sound of Bell birds and Tuis. The master bedroom opens onto a private patio facing north, to capture morning sun and the ever-present view of the National Park. Two further bedrooms look out over native forest, creating plenty of space for family or guests.

The Courtyard - in a beautiful rural location

The studio has a small kitchenette and a modern compact ensuite. It is fully furnished and equipped with everything needed for your stay, including free Wi-Fi and off-road parking. The stand-alone studio has its own entrance in a shared courtyard with the main house, situated on 2 hectares (5 acres) in a rural location 15-20 mins from downtown Nelson. We have cows, goats, chickens, a cat and a small aviary. You are welcome to explore the property and enjoy the views and birdlife.

Relax in this tranquil getaway. The cabin is a cosy hideaway with armchairs, dining, fridge and microwave. Up the ladder is a mezzanine for sleeping. The second cabin contains the shower and toilet. It spills out onto a landscaped garden with a tree-lined patio looking over Fifeshire Rock and ranges. It's one of the most beautiful spots in Nelson. Steep climb from the road, up steps and boardwalks. We suggest a pack, not a suitcase.

Cath and Al are kiwi locals having been born and brought up in this area and lived here all our lives. We are happy to give guests advice on where to visit and what to see. Our accommodation is located in a quiet peaceful location with bush and native birdsong on a ridge. There are breathtaking views across Sandy Bay, Marahau and Abel Tasman National Park from the apartment.

It is a 5 minute drive to Tahunanui Beach, Tahunanui cafes & restaurants, golf course and airport, and 10 minutes from Nelson city.
