The neighborhood has a unique charm where traditional Icelandic houses have gotten to maintain their original charm encapsulated in lava fields. Staying here you truly get to be one of the locals, tucked away from the more touristy areas. The area gives you a opportunity to view and live amongst some of the oldest buildings.

Cozy and compact studio in residential area downtown Reykjavík. The small studio is within my house, has private entrance but closed off with a sliding door. I live upstairs. Small kitchen unit, refrigerator, water boiler, Nespresso machine (no oven/stove). Big double bed, desk, two chairs and a sofa. Shower room with floor heating. Main shopping street, restaurants, cafés, bars, in- and outdoor swimming pool, museums and other attractions minutes away. Great coffee house & bakery steps away.
