Very spacious and luxurious Penthouse (atico) apartment 'La Mar'. The apartment of 110 m2 has a very spacious living room, a luxury kitchen with appliances and is fully equipped, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large terrace of 27 m2 overlooking the historic center of Altea. Close to the apartment you have your own parking garage at your disposal (2-minute walk).
This luxury Penthouse (atico) apartment 'La Mar' is a very comfortable apartment of 110 m2 for up to 4 people on the fifth floor of the complex. In the building is an elevator. The spacious living room has an open kitchen with a dining area and a separate seating area. The open kitchen is equipped with all appliances. There are 2 bedrooms, the master bedroom has a king size bed and the bathroom is en suite. The smaller bedroom has 2 single beds with a separate private bathroom. The apartment has air conditioning in both bedrooms, there is only no central air conditioning in the apartment. The apartment also gives you access to the shared roof terrace with a beautiful view over the Mediterranean Sea and the old village of Altea with the beautiful church of La Maria de Déu del Consol (Our Lady of Comfort). Close to the apartment you have your own parking garage at your disposal (2-minute walk). Since the beach is only a 2-minute walk away, there is no swimming pool at the building.
The apartment is located near the beach (2nd line) and the boulevard with many shops, terraces, restaurants and cafes is only a 2-minute walk away. The old village is a 10-minute walk away.

Altea is a town in Spain, located on the Mediterranean coast in the province of Alicante at 50 kilometers northeast of the city of Alicante and 120 kilometers south of the city of Valencia. It has an area of 34.43 km² and is built on a hill. It is one of the most attractive cities, which can be found on the "Costa Blanca". The city was founded by the Iberians and Romans. In 1244 Altea reconquered by Jaime I of Aragon.
The parochial church dedicated to the Virgen del Consuelo (Our Lady of Solace) was built at the start of the last century, and beside it is the Plaza (Plaza de Nuestra Señora del Consuelo) situated high above the town offering superb views of Altea and the coastline beyond. The church is recognizing from a distance by the picturesque blue towers. The church is built on top of the hill. Next to it is the Plaza (Plaza de Nuestra Senora del Consuelo), with stunning views of Altea and the coastline.
Running down, enjoy the narrow streets, with its attractive white houses, many of which are decorated with bougainvillea and jasmine, the artisan shops selling handmade jewellery and ceramics, and the restaurants and cafes. Altea has always attracted writers and artists because of its special ambience. On warm summer evenings, the streets are pedestrianised and artists and craftsmen display their wares in the evening market
Downstairs is the commercial village with its shopping street, the boulevard with its restaurants, cafes and bars. At the end of the boulevard is the harbour, divided into the old fishing harbour and a some-what newer sports harbour.
The weekly market is the largest street market Altea and is held on Tuesdays from 08:30 to 01:00, the vegetable market is a part of it.
Guests arriving at El Altet, Alicante Airport, can choose for transport by taxi or bus to Altea. It is also possible to arrange private transportation (on request). For guests arriving on Sunday, we offer the service to provide the necessary groceries for the first need. This is of course on request, the groceries will be billed to you afterwards.
In the apartment there is an information folder with useful addresses and telephone numbers, information about Altea and surroundings. There are several golf courses in and around Altea. In Altea La Vella there is a beautiful 9-hole golf course (18 holes) 'Altea Club de Golf Don Cayo'. There are also several golf courses near Benidorm and Alicante.
