This classic Tk has been described as a cottage on wheels, with handmade furnishings, hot shower, wood burning stove, gas hob, and lighting throughout. Morpeth is an attractive busy market town with ample shopping, dining and drinking establishments. Nearby there are beautiful beaches and historic castles. Northumberland is an ideal destination for walkers and cyclists. Here at Hazel Cottage we can offer secure storage for bicycles and free parking. Morpeth railway station is close by with regular trains from London and the north.

Situated in woodland and fields is a small c18th farm with a beautiful light open-plan Cottage and spectacular views of National Trust Gibside and the Column to Liberty. Wild swimming, cycling and endless walks lie just beyond its gate. One of five dwellings, the Cottage has a private entrance and exclusive use of a small south-facing garden. Night skies are spectacular and often punctuated with calling owls and the rustle of hedgehogs & badgers. Bird spotting and fishing is another delight.

The Sheepwash Shepherds Hut Morpeth

Beautiful cosy Shepherds Hut with views over the local countryside. Our bespoke hand made, wood fired hot tub offers a unique bathing experience. Enjoy the natural warmth of the water, heated and ready for your arrival. This does need to be booked in advance, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required at a charge of £40. If your stay is longer than one night we can empty, refill and reheat for a small charge of £15.00 per night.
