Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. This apartment is located above a quiet business that operates Monday through Friday. The stairs to access the apartment are steep and narrow, please be aware for anyone who may have mobility issues. The only shared space is one common door that splits access to the business from the upstairs apartment.

Tiny Retro Studio for One Person

This is a TINY studio for ONE person. Non-smoking inside & out. No pets. Our typical guest is in town for work at Notre Dame or the local hospital, so we try to keep a quiet house for sleeping and studying. Our neighborhood is usually quiet, but not always. See the LOCATION section under the map to read a description of our neighborhood. *Winter Note: We shovel the walkways at the Airbnb, but not usually until later in the day.

The main residence is approximately 400 feet from the cabin. The cabin is secluded and yet close to local attractions, restaurants, biking and nature trails. The Cabin has a total of 420 sq ft living space with 280 sq ft on the ground floor and a 140 sq ft bedroom loft.
