Large, light filled, quiet, private 2 bedroom apartment/guest suite with split bathroom (toilet and sink in one room, soaking tub/shower and sink in other), kitchenette, and ceilings up to 16'. We have been working on this space for the last 2 years to get the details just right, including hand built furniture and art by local artists. Above the din of the Mission, this apartment is a unique space built in the attic of a large Edwardian house run by artists Laurel Roth Hope and Andy Diaz Hope .

The in-law unit is cozy, comfortable, and stylish. The garden is lovely! It's great for couples, mini-sized families, solo adventurers, and business travelers. This is a very walkable neighborhood. Our flat has a classic San Francisco feel and is located in the Mission District. It is very convenient to Moscone Center and all of San Francisco's highlights. BART train and Muni buses are around the corner to whisk you anywhere you need to go. (let us know if you want insider info about how to hop on the 14R to get to Moscone - it's faster than a cab!) There is a full kitchen with dining room table, a washer and dryer, tv with cable, and free wifi. We also provide all the basic amenities.

Your hosts, John and Jody live upstairs and are available quite often to answer any of your questions but we will respect your privacy. We appreciate a no-shoe policy.

The apartment has a perfect placement on a quiet street, but close enough to all the great restaurants, coffee shops, and nightlife of the Mission (98 walk score). I live upstairs in the same home and am available during your stay, while guests have full privacy in their own space.

You also have direct access to a common shared garden. It’s a perfect place to come home to after working in the city or exploring. The location is the best. You don’t need a car when you stay here. Wake up to the soothing green view from this recently remodeled (mid-2023) studio nestled on a sleepy block in Bernal Heights. A peaceful backyard with a Buddha sculpture and a modernist inspired courtyard sit alongside the bedroom, kitchenette and bathroom. Free street parking (parallel) is available on my block and surrounding streets, not restricted, and typically easily available. Note that the in-law studio shares a common front door and foyer with the main house upstairs.
