Whispering Oak in the heart of Midtown

Built in 1908 and well preserved and loved over the decades. The front garden once featured a massive 200 year old Oak tree from which we named the property. The front garden is enclosed with an iron fence and gate with off street parking. The house is divided into two private apartments each with an entrance form the front porch. There is a lovely covered patio in the private back garden. Inside the apartment you will find an inviting space with tasteful decor and all the comfort of home.

This second floor apartment is apart of a 4-plex that was lovingly built in 1928. There is a great view of the sunset from the front sunroom. We renovated this apartment in 2021 with an updated kitchen and bathroom. The rooms are spacious and the original hardwood floors are stunning. There are two bedrooms with queen beds and hybrid coil & memory foam mattresses. Parking for one vehicle located behind the building and additional vehicles may park on the street overnight for free.

Super cool house! Made from reclaimed shipping containers, covered and trimmed out with century old reclaimed cypress and hardwood. This house sits on a private gated drive along with our 10 other farmhouses, all on our 500 acre working farm. Each unique in their own way, all 11 are devoted guest houses and listed on Airbnb. . We are exactly 6.5 miles from downtpwn Memphis with no traffic lights in the way. I’ve timed it at 7 minutes.

Walking in Memphis (Entire upstairs apartment)

Located in the heart of midtown. Walking distance to many bars, restaurants, and parks. $7 Uber ride to Beale St. There could not be a more ideal location for a visit to Memphis. A private bedroom, living area, kitchen, and bathroom in the upstairs of our home built in 1912. Coffee and tea is available in the kitchenette. We have two small children and a dog, but the space is private with a private entrance.
