The Lundgren Tree Farm

Located on 40 beautiful wooded acres in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, the Lundgren Tree Farm was founded by my grandfather Vic Lundgren in the early 1960s. Originally it was an 1880s homestead farm with a two bedroom log cabin and several out buildings. Over the years, my grandfather planted tens of thousands of trees on the property, painted hundreds of water colors and oil paintings documenting the natural flora and fauna, and converted a barn and other structures into additional bedrooms, an art studio, library and meditation room, and the Silver Dollar Pool Hall. As a lawyer, judge, artist and nature lover, Vic stocked the property with art, books, records and sculpture making the Lundgren Farm incredibly beautiful, inspiring and authentic. Just blocks from Lake Michigan, the Farm is a refuge for animals and artists alike, with trails, a fire pit, and rich solitude from city living. The log cabin farmhouse hosts two bedrooms, the kitchen, dining area, living room and full bath. It is filled with art, books, antiques, and a functional record player, organ and cast iron fireplace. The barn is not your ordinary structure, as it holds five seperate rooms - two bedrooms, an art studio, Vic's office and the meditation room. The open common area is rustic and contains a small workshop. The "Chicken Coupe" is a one bedroom outbuilding located behind the farmhouse, with a full bath (and one of the more modern sleeping quarters). All of the bedrooms have nice linens, wool blankets, mosquito netting (sometimes necessary) and antique furnishings. The screened gazebo next to the pond, is a wonderful place to read, eat or just sit back and listen to the frogs, birds and other wildlife that frequent the property.

Enjoy some R&R country living/winter sports at this riverside retreat. Toss in a fishing line from the bridge or enjoy the river view from the spacious deck, sun porch and nearly every room inside. Let the soft sounds of the crickets and water rushing by lull you to sleep, awake w/ the springtime sounds of chirping birds. Plenty of recreation nearby. 4 miles to Island Casino and Golf Course. Small cabin in a quiet country setting. Located in Michigan's beautiful upper pennisula. Close to Lake Michigan's Green Bay. Great fishing, boating, and water recreation at one of the many nearby parks. Also close to ATV/snowmobile trails and golfing. Five acres of fenced in space, great for playing with the dog or kids. Firepit and gas grill. the cabin is located 5 miles out of town, so still close enough for shopping or checking out the restaurants. Pets welcomed, if well mannered.

Winding River Cottages-The River House

The River House is one of the units at Winding River Cottages on the Menominee. In addition to The River House, there are two other cottages also on the property. The house is located directly on the Menominee River, and has a full kitchen, dining room, living room, and natural fireplace in an open concept space that is filled with natural light from a multitude of windows. Grandview Farm Cottage is a circa 1920s newly renovated, 420 sq. ft. private guesthouse on the grounds of a 2.5 acre Door County property built in the late 1800s. Modern, industrial and repurposed style meets vintage farmhouse charm. Central location allows for quick drive or even a bike ride to either coast of the peninsula. Enjoy nature, wildlife, your own organically grown gardens, and dark starry night skies, while being only 3 miles to nightlife and shopping and beaches and parks.

It is one hour away from Marquette, also one hour away from Picture Rocks, plus some other areas of interest in the upper peninsula. You’ll love my place because of its serene surroundings in front of the river. It is a beautiful custom log cabin in a beautiful area. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids).

This house is just steps from a public beach, 230-slip marina, parks, beaches, restaurants, bars and shopping. You can park your car and never have to drive, enjoying the scenery, shopping, swimming and dining. The TV has local channels only, no cable. Menominee is 50 miles north of the city of Green Bay on the bay of Green Bay. Door County is a 2-hour car ride and an hour boat ride across from Menominee. This is a cute 3-bedroom, 1.5 bath house in downtown Menominee on a quiet street.

Relax and get in touch with the outdoors at Camp Nicoli. This peaceful cabin sits on 40 wooded acres in Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Wildlife includes bald eagles, deer & turkeys. Wolves, coyotes & bears are also in the area but it is unlikely you will see them. ORV and snowmobile trailhead is located 10 mins from cabin in Powers MI. Plenty of room to bring camper or tent to sleep additional people. (approval required)
