Swamp Camp offers a unique peaceful retreat to nature enthusiasts in the heart of Louisiana swamp country. We are at the dead end of quiet one mile road called “Happywoods.” Our camp, up on piers, is situated in the wetlands along the Tickfaw River and adjoining Tickfaw State Park. We look out onto a wilderness sanctuary with turtles, alligator, beaver and otter along with a variety of water birds among the characters. The camp is built centered on a 300 plus year old cypress tree.

The Camp Cabin is our smallest retreat situated in a small knoll in a bend of the creek. Reminiscent of a fishing camp, with nicer furnishings of course, you will feel right at home with its full kitchen, bath and single bedroom. There's an 8 x 14 covered front porch and an open 12 x 14 back porch leading down to the creek. It is 400 sq. ft. of living area with a futon in living rm. Designed for up to 4 people this quaint cabin should aspire to couples and our budget minded guests.

Sunhillow Farm Getaway

This secluded 3-bedroom cabin has everything you need for your perfect Louisiana-getaway. No traffic, noise or people. Located on 220 acres adjacent to the Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Refuge, the property includes freshwater lakes, a beach, and multiple trails for a beautiful morning or evening walk. Guests have easy access to the BCNWR for deer, hog, etc. hunting, as well as canoes and kayaks. We have blueberries, whitetail deer and chickens supplying fresh eggs, when laying.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This cabin was built in the 1950's for housing dairy workers. It sits on 11 acres. This area is an old dairy farm. Lots of family history here going all the way back to WWII. 1 bedroom with queen size bed, small laundry room, queen size fold out couch, pots and pan, dishes, microwave, stove and refrigerator with ice maker. Super fast high speed internet. Roku tv's. Peaceful front porch with rocking chairs and very tranquil view.

Nestled right on the edge of the Old River Wildlife Management Area, in Henlyfield, MS, you will have plenty of land to hunt, ride ATV’s or fish on the river (with proper permits/licenses of course!). A public boat launch is less than 5 minutes away which allows access to the Old River( by boat is the best way to fish). If hunting or fishing is not your thing, you can come enjoy the great outdoors or hang out by the fire pit.

The Gator Getaway is the perfect escape from reality located in the swampy town of Manchac, Louisiana. It is the ideal place for a stay near the water with no boat required! The historic building was the original Church of Manchac and was remodeled into a home. Located within walking distance to the famous Middendorf's Restaurant! Also nearby is the public boat launch, Sun Buns river bar boat taxi, and other local favorite spots! Located about 40 miles outside of New Orleans.
