Rolling lawn and river access, use one of our stand up paddle boards or the Kayak and enjoy the river directly from our jetty. A brand new entertainment section that leads off the outside decking which has comfy chairs, a big braai and separate fire pit is also now available at The Old Oke Riverhouse along with a jetty which has padding to protect your boat. "ROOIKOP" A HOUSE ON THE BREEDE RIVER ESTUARY

A house on the estuary of a VERY BIG river ie - Lower Breede river - about 15km from the sea, the house is set back about about 15m from the river . It is completely off the grid , ie only solar power and rainwater. It might not suit city dwellers who need every gadget and convenience but its heaven for the hardier ones Please bring bedding and towels . The are pillows and various duvet inners but we don't have a washing machine so we cannot supply linen
