Canoeing and kayaking are the primary activities plus its designated a "Blue Ribbon" cold-water trout stream, with fishing being the second most popular activity. For the land-lover, 112 acres of state land are across the road for hiking and biking. The Manistee National Forest (17,000 acres) is just 2 miles away.
