Welcome to our little piece of paradise located in Montegut, LA. We are just minutes from the gulf with boat launch access direct to the bayou for the . fishing enthusiasts. For those that don't want to leave the property we also have a pond that has catfish and perch. Our renters will also have access to our pool, hot tub and patio area. We also have a fish cleaning area, and a boiling area for seafood boils. At night you can enjoy a fire with our burn pit. We can't wait to meet you!

The Blue Mermaid

Locally, you have access to some of the best fishing anywhere!! Regardless if you are fishing right off the dock or out w one of the local fishing charters. There are hiking trails, or airboats/pontoon boat charters to get you in touch w the beautiful wetlands & marshes to see the local wildlife. if you have your own boat, you can drop it into the water just a block away at the local marina & tie it up out back on the dock. New Orleans is about 45 minutes just north w it's food, music & culture.

THE UNIT: Cabin 6 has a queen-sized bed which sleeps 2 people, a kitchenette, full bathroom, table for two, screened-in porch, air conditioning, heating, a microwave, coffeemaker & wifi. THE AREA: right at the entrance to Jean Lafitte National Park and walking distance to swamp tours and an amazing cajun-creole restaurant.

Gorgeous Country House, Bayou, Pool!

This beautiful home sleeps up to 11 people total. The main house sleeps 9 and has four bedrooms with queen beds, plus one twin bed in the game room. There is also a separate cottage that can be rented for an extra fee that sleeps an additional 2 people in a queen bed. The cottage also has its own bathroom and full gourmet kitchen. Portable pack-and-play bed available upon request for infants.
