Take it easy on the porch in a Hollywood hideaway

Our guests like to call The Porch House a 'tree house'. We think it's because the 40 foot long porch walks into the canopy of a massive rubber tree that stands alongside it. Or maybe because with the french doors open in the bedroom you feel like you're sleeping in a king size nest. But our 'nest' has creature comforts as well... private bedroom, shower, full size fridge/freezer, toaster oven, hot plate, coffee maker, tea pot, wifi, and Netflix. The main room has vaulted ceilings, a skylight and 2 ceiling fans to keep you cool. Simple but cozy decor make it a great place to relax. 3 sets of french doors along the porch side open up to make the place feel twice as big... Sunset is the perfect time to open up all the the doors, listen to the birds and let the light and breeze go throughout the house. You don't feel like you are in the center of Hollywood. You get the entire back house to yourself with private entrance and private porch. We are always ready to answer any questions and help with traveling suggestions but also respect your privacy so if you don't contact us we will not be bothering you. This property is located in central Hollywood—a few minutes away from Griffith Park, the Hollywood sign, and Universal Studios but nestled in a neighborhood that's walking distance to different restaurants and markets. 10 minute walk to the metro that connects to LAX, Chinese theatre, Santa Monica beach. Many bus stops on every corner. We love our neighborhood even though we are located in a central Hollywood it doesn't feel touristic or fake. We have many different ethnicities in our neighborhood which makes it so unique with different delicious authentic cousins and cultures.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is 8 minutes away, and Dodger Stadium and Downtown Los Angeles are 10 minutes away, to name just a few. It’s a perfect space for a single traveler or a couple on a getaway. The interior is enhanced with numerous windows allowing for plenty of light and breezes. There is a dog in the back house, behind the fence,who barks but is not dangerous.

Our spacious one bedroom guest apartment locates separately on ground floor of our home in Silver Lake. There's big bedroom with queen size bed , big bathroom with shower/bathtub, hallway with entrance door to the street, fully equipped eating area but no kitchen sink/stove. Parking is free at curb. We live in Larchmont Village just blocks from Larchmont Blvd & described as "quaint and small-town adorable" by LA Curbed - the perfect central location to explore LA. South of Hollywood, close to Koreatown, about 30 minutes from the beach. My wife, our 13 year old son, 5 year old puppy(Tuesday), 1 year old kitty and I would be happy to host you!
