The lake and woodland attract hundreds of species of birds and mammals. The lake itself is stocked with coarse fish. A little oasis of nature with easy links to local cities. Explore the wider Wirral area on the network of public footpaths or take a short train ride to the cities of Liverpool or Chester.

A perfect base for exploring the North Wales Coast. A cosy and comfortable place to return to at the end of the day. It has wifi, good quality beds and bedding and a full bathroom, with lots of towels! The Point of Ayr Nature reserve is 5 minutes away, Talacre sand dunes and lighthouse, then Prestatyn further along the coast. Ffynnongroew was a mining village, with 2 pubs a few minutes walk away, along with a take away, Post Office and small convenience store. DOGS ALLOWED, NO CATS.

Been told by so many that the pictures do NOT do it any justice. There is a petrol station and a shop 1/2 mile down the road, 3 miles from the town of Abergele, which hosts a range of different takeaways and a Tesco’s.
