Itokuro Estate - Spacious Countryside Retreat

The Itokuro Estate is a historic Edo-era home built over 200 years ago. Newly renovated, it blends modern comfort with traditional Japanese architecture. Yumi and Yasumichi, the on-site caretakers, live in a separate area and do not share any living spaces or bathrooms with guests. They are available to assist guests and provide transportation to/from the local train station. Bicycles are available for the guests to explore the beautiful beaches and countryside of Itoshima.

You can enjoy hearing birds singing, the big trees swaying in the wind and seeing colorful carps swimming leisurely in the pond. We live in the house next door. The 130-year-old Villa Kaede, originally built as a guest house by a founder of Arita Bank, has been beautifully renovated. Visitors can enjoy a garden that showcases the changing seasons. The villa also serves as a convenient base for day trips to places like Nagasaki City, Unzen, Ureshino, Sasebo, Hirado, and Huis Ten Bosch.

160年の古民家を2023年にリノベーションしました。総敷地700坪（2300㎡）、建物170㎡ととても広々としています。熊本城まで車で8分の距離にありながら、喧騒から離れて落ち着いてゆっくりくつろいでいただけるコテージです。お庭には、160年以上前からある大きなクスノキや、黒松、紅葉、竹林など木々やお花にあふれていて、四季折々の木々や草花を堪能していただけます。ホストが隣接する建物に住んでおりますので、何かと安心してお過ごしいただけます。大きく深呼吸をして、心からリフレッシュしてください。 ●ご留意点 ・木々が生い茂る庭があるため、蚊や虫が多くいます。虫はどうしても苦手という方はお楽しみいただくことが難しいかもしれません。 ・当施設は、とても静かな住宅地にあります。20時以降、お庭やデッキでの大きな声での会話はお控えください。
