Cottage is a 20 min walk to the town of Sydenham (which has a sandy public beach, boat launch, LCBO, Foodland, etc.) and 20 min drive to Kingston.

Escape to our renovated cottage on a private 2-acre lot abundant with wildlife, on scenic Loughborough Lake. Featuring 3 bedrooms in cottage and 1 in bunkie, open living area, kitchen, screened porch, oversized couch, wood stove, AC, games, large deck, fire pit, green space, dock, canoe, kayaks, and nearby boat launch. Enjoy games, fishing, granite Canadian Shield landscapes, and cozy evenings surrounded by nature. The bay is shallow and not swimmable. Access deeper swimmable water by boat.

Additional upgrades such as large granite counter tops, brand new furniture, stainless steel appliances, high ceiling. Fine finishes show the care that have gone into the history of this limestone suite located in one of the best locations in the heart of downtown Kingston. Please note: Our place does not have an elevator and is located on the third floor. Guests will need to climb two flights of stairs to access the unit. This may be challenging for seniors or guests with limited mobility.

Wake up to the call of the loons and the sun rising over shimmering water. Explore the lake with our three kayaks and pedal boat. Relax indoors in our clean, well maintained, rustic space. Fire up the wood stove if it gets a bit chilly. If it rains, there is a tall bookcase full of DVDs, puzzles and board games. Grill your meals on the BBQ, and roast your marshmallows over the fire pit by the lake. We are in a "dark sky preserve", so the stars shine extra bright. S'mores never tasted so good!

Wonderful Canadian Lake House

Imagine vacationing on a beautiful lake with everything you need to enjoy time on the water – kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, pedal boat and rowboat. . Inside is a fully equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, central air-conditioning, walk-in shower and soaker tub. We have an entire house R/O system, so all the water from every tap is perfect. We live on a bay with many weeds. To swim you must paddle out to a raft. There is a small sandy beach with a wading area for the little children.

Open concept cottage provides a cozy getaway for couples or small groups. There is a boat ramp available on the property that is on the Morton Creek. The waterfront is not great for swimming due to the weeds but there are swimming spots within 10 minutes or take the kayaks and canoes up to the bridge for a swim. 2 acres for lots of privacy and spots for tents. Full kitchen, washing machine, and a full bathroom with a stand up shower. $175/night or $1000/week. The cottage is fully furnished.

Observe various types of waterfowl or enjoy the sound of our meandering river as it flows into Lyndhurst Lake. This is all part of the natural surroundings in your own private cottage. A great place to stay if you are travelling through the area or while enjoying all the area has to offer including excellent fishing, paddling and hiking area trails.

Your host also operates Rideau Tours and offers bike, kayak, canoe and stand-up paddleboard rentals onsite.
