De aici se pot admira frumoasele peisaje ale zonei, datorita amplasamentului pe culmea unui deal din localitate spre zona de munte. In zona este o liniste deplina deoarece pe raza de cateva sute de metri nu se gasesc alte constructii. Arhitectura constructiilor din cadrul Cabanei este specifica zonei din Maramuresul istoric.
