Charming Hidden Bungalow in Heart of Hollywood

I am open to pets. HOWEVER please reach out to me before booking if you are planning to bring a pet. I want to make sure its a good fit. Also I do charge a pet fee that is for deep cleaning due to future guests with pet allergy sensitivities. If you end up having a pet stay without my approval and I find out from my cleaners I will charge an additional $25 a day. Charming Spanish bungalow sits in the heart of Hollywood tucked away on a hidden quiet walk street within walking distance of everything you need or want-movie theaters, restaurants, bars, clubs, shops, yoga classes. Located 4 blocks from Hollywood Blvd. 2 blocks from the Cahuenga Corridor, which is considered one the coolest areas in Los Angeles, if not the United States because all within a 4 block radius are great restaurants, bars, music venues, clubs, recording studios, juice bars, yoga studios, gyms, a farmers market, shops and much more. So you dont even need to rent a car!!!! On a historical note--This house was used as housing for MGM actors in the 20s and 30s including the likes of Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton! The house was entirely remodeled a few years ago while keeping the original hardwood floors and french windows. The ceilings were raised to 12 ft throughout the house as well as the entry where the ceiling has been vaulted to 14 ft. A spherical chandelier hangs down from the top. There's also a custom one of a kind green penny tiled faux fireplace that centers the living room as well as a closet in the living room for additional storage if necessary. The open floor plan allows one to easily walk into the kitchen area which has stove, refrigerator, dishwasher as well as a small circular dining table. Also included is a hot plate, all cooking utensils necessary, a Nespresso machine with pods and an American standard coffee pot with coffee and sugar, a microwave, and filtered drinking water. (the iMac and screen are removed from the desk, and the unit will be delivered with no clutter of any kind. Bring your devices as they will be happy with the blazing fast internet and power ports all over the house, inside and out.) Toilet and sink are located 1 step from the French doors, behind the antler of the main picture of the listing. Fridge also located outside the unit by one step from the opposite french door. Guest unit requires your ability to climb many stairs from the street level, so it is best as a guest you are comfortable with stairs. You may access the exterior day bed shown in the photos and outdoor shower on the walkway up to the guest unit. The guest unit is at the rear of my home with complete privacy. The outdoor shower is shared with the main house. Guests have their own private entrance and exit to the shower from the guest unit. Stairs! It is required you walk up three sets of stairs from the street to access the guest unit in the back of the home. Guests that are comfortable with stairs will have no issues. I am happy to help any guests with their plans while here in the city on their arrival. Afterward I am reachable via email or text throughout your stay to offer any more guidance or help. The guest suite sits on a quiet street, near Franklin Village, restaurants, and the lovely Griffith Park. The neighborhood’s dramatic hills are great for walking, and it’s convenient to Hollywood, Los Feliz, and Silver Lake. Parking is always available on the street in front of the house (and it's FREE) and the local DASH bus is available in a matter of minutes after a short walk down the hill that goes straight to the metro. Renting a car while in LA however is recommended as the city is very large. Many of my guests use Uber as well for its convenience. No Smoking inside the unit. No pets. Outdoor shower is shared with the main house. Location is not conducive for guests with young children.

Take it easy on the porch in a Hollywood hideaway

Our guests like to call The Porch House a 'tree house'. We think it's because the 40 foot long porch walks into the canopy of a massive rubber tree that stands alongside it. Or maybe because with the french doors open in the bedroom you feel like you're sleeping in a king size nest. But our 'nest' has creature comforts as well... private bedroom, shower, full size fridge/freezer, toaster oven, hot plate, coffee maker, tea pot, wifi, and Netflix. The main room has vaulted ceilings, a skylight and 2 ceiling fans to keep you cool. Simple but cozy decor make it a great place to relax. 3 sets of french doors along the porch side open up to make the place feel twice as big... Sunset is the perfect time to open up all the the doors, listen to the birds and let the light and breeze go throughout the house. You don't feel like you are in the center of Hollywood. You get the entire back house to yourself with private entrance and private porch. We are always ready to answer any questions and help with traveling suggestions but also respect your privacy so if you don't contact us we will not be bothering you. This property is located in central Hollywood—a few minutes away from Griffith Park, the Hollywood sign, and Universal Studios but nestled in a neighborhood that's walking distance to different restaurants and markets. 10 minute walk to the metro that connects to LAX, Chinese theatre, Santa Monica beach. Many bus stops on every corner. We love our neighborhood even though we are located in a central Hollywood it doesn't feel touristic or fake. We have many different ethnicities in our neighborhood which makes it so unique with different delicious authentic cousins and cultures.

It's nestled in Beachwood Canyon, which is very centrally located-just minutes away from the 101 FWY and Universal Studios. Hollywood Blvd is only about 1 mile away. Other attractions nearby are Pantages Theater, Hollywood Bowl, Grauman's Chinese Theater, Hollywood and Highland, Warner Bros Studio, The Grove, Sunset Blvd and more. You can walk to several restaurants. Uber is also available if you don't have a car.
