Summer paradise by Göta Kanal

Gammalrud is a farm, which is located in the northern part of the peninsula, which goes into Lake Viken and is called Vika forests. Here we conduct forestry and lamb production since 1976. Surrounded by the beautiful forest, lake Viken (the highest point of Göta Kanal) and the hospitality of Thord and Ulla, this is your idyllic home away from home. We have renovated the old farm dairy, "Mejeriet", and made it into a nice home that we rent out to guests. The ground floor consists of a hallway, a kitchen suited for 8 persons and a large living room with a cozy fireplace. The living room floor is made of hand-made bricks from the old brickworks in the nearby village Horn. The upper floor consists of one large room with wooden floor and alcoves for 6 persons. At the old canal landing, we have built a large boathouse. Here is a place, not just for boats, but also for gatherings and parties. If you´d like to go fishing you are more than welcome to rent our small boat to try your luck catching pike, perch or any of the other fish in lake Viken. There is also a sauna in the Boathouse. Gammalrud is a farm dating back to the Middle Ages. A full list of previous owners dates back to 1498. In the 1600s, Gammalrud became a manor when the first corp de logi was built by Thord Jönsson Reuterberg. In the 1800s, Gammalrud became part of the Swedish industrial history by one of the owners, Theodor Winborg, also known as “Ättikskungen” , the founder of Winborg´s vinegar and later by his brother in law, Helge Palmqrantz, an inventor and industrialist with machine factories in Stockholm. Both agricultural tools and weapons were made there. A machine gun, designed by Helge Palmqrantz to be part of the defense on Karlsborgs fortress, can be seen at the fortress museum.

Holidays by the lake Unden

In the middle of West Götalands unspoilt nature with its lakes and forests, near the big lake Vättern, about 5 kilometers from the village of Undenäs and far away from any through traffic, the small country village of Igelstad is located, directly on the lake Unden. The village is a small collection of scattered houses and farms, of which some are permanently inhabited, while others are used as summer cottages. Here, in a large clearing in the forest, the small farm "Nolgården" is situated. The house is a separate, well-equipped classic wooden log house, built in spruce. It was thourougly renovated in 2008. There is a private bathroom, kitchen and private terrace, Internet connection (WLAN) and Amazon Fire TV (Magenta TV). A cozy fireplace and electric heating provide comfortable warmth. Directly from the house you can make nice walks in the unspoilt nature, pick berries and mushrooms, or walk to lake Unden, one of the clearest and most pristine lakes in Sweden. From the house to the west side of the peninsula, there is only 800 meters. Here you can have a swim or enjoy the sunset over Unden. The eastern shore can be reached in quarter of an hour via a forest path. By the shore a canoe lies ready for extensive reconnaissance trips to the beautiful deserted islands and quiet bays. But the area has much more to offer: the romantic Tiveden National Park, Lake Viken, Forsvik and the Göta canal with its locks, and the huge lake Vättern are just a few examples of interesting destinations.

Beautiful & historic lakeside cottage

This beautiful lakeside cottage is the perfect starting point for lovely hiking in unspoiled nature or a quiet retreat in historic surroundings. Through the cabin window you can see the crystal clear lake which offers both fantastic views as well as wildlife, fishing or why not a morning swim from the private jetty. Within an hour you can reach the fantastic national park Tiveden or maybe the fort in Karlsborg. Where we are located, we have poor reception, but our wifi is of excellent quality

Mysig stuga på landet med stor lekfull trädgård

Välkommen till en mysig nybyggd gäststuga. Den står på en tomt med fin utsikt över åkrar och närhet till skogen. Här finns tillgång till en stor trädgård med utemöbler, grill Studsmatta, lekstuga och grillplats i skogen om man vill. Här finns ett jättefint badrum med dusch och toalett. Det finns ett trinettkök med möjlighet till matlagning, kyl med frysfack, spis och matplats för 4-5 personer. Det lilla sovrummet har en bred enkelsäng och en loftsäng med stege. Mysig stuga på landet nära Skara Sommarland

Njut av stillheten på landet i denna klassiska röda stuga. Stugan ligger på vår tomt där det finns ytterligare ett bostadshus. Här bor du perfekt om du vill besöka tranorna vid Hornborgasjön, historiska Varnhem eller blomstrande Vallebygden. Lilla Lilleskog är också ett bra boende när du vill besöka Skara Sommarland 7 km bort. Vandringsleder och badsjöar finns inom bekvämt avstånd. Stugan är fullt utrustad med kök och badrum med dusch. Nybyggt hus med sjöutsikt

Komfortabelt semesterboende med det lilla extra. Nära badplats, vacker natur, golfbana, Skövde och Skara Sommarland. Husets planlösning är öppen och luftig. Det moderna köket och det inbjudande vardagsrummet är belägna i husets öppna del med en enastående takhöjd. På bottenplan finns därtill ett sovrum med dubbelsäng (140 cm bred) och en toalett med dusch. Med en trappstege tar man sig upp till det mysiga sovloftet som är utrustat med två intilliggande 90cm sängar. Hjärtligt välkomna.

Härligt hus på landet

Välkommen till Snickargården i natursköna Stora Mosshult, Tiveden! Här hyr ni ett charmigt nyrenoverat hus byggt 1886 med plats för upp till 8 gäster. I huset finns alla bekvämligheter från våran tid men med sparade detaljer från förr. Vandringsleder och badsjö finns inom gångavstånd. Tivedens sevärdheter ligger på nära avstånd och går att nå med cykel eller bil. Sängkläder, handdukar och slutstädning ingår. Vi kan tyvärr inte ta emot husdjur, då många av våra gäster är pälsallergiker.

Cozy cabin with a view, near Tiveden

This cozy cottage is located in Undenäs, on the edge of a little holiday park. From the house you have a beautiful view of the area and you can walk into the forest for a lovely walk. Do not forget to walk along the viewpoint and enjoy the surroundings. The cottage is close to the National Nature Park Tiveden, where you can enjoy beautiful walks. Or visit in Karlsborg the fortress, minigolf, the Göta Canal or Forsvik Bruk where you can see 600 years of Swedish industrial history.

Trevlig stuga och endast 150 m till sjön.

Detta trevliga ställe är beläget i Töreboda kommun vid sjön Viken. Du har 1 mil till Töreboda där mataffärer och shopping att tillgå. I Töreboda har du även Göta kanal som du kan cykla utmed eller promenera. Cyklar finns att hyra. 3 mil från stugan finner du Tivedens nationalpark där du kan vandra i orörd natur med vackra skogssjöar. Sen har du tre mil till Mariestad och Sveriges största sjö Vänern och dess skärgård och mycket annat sevärt i nära anslutning till stugan.

Koppla av med hela familjen i detta fridfulla boende. Egen brygga och strand. Bastun väntar när ni kommer tillbaka till huset. Två helt nygjorda toaletter för er bekvämlighet. Närhet till fantastiska Tivedens nationalpark och fiske bara 100 m från huset. Otroligt vacker utsikt över sjön Viken. Oändligt med vandringsområden precis utanför huset eller varför inte låna de två cyklarna som står till ert förfogande och cykla ner till glasskiosken vid Göta kanal.

Uggletorps gäststuga vid skogen

Stugan finns 4km utanför Sjötorp samt 10km utanför Lyrestad. Det finns möjlighet att ta sig dit med cykel. Göta kanal rinner genom båda samhällena där det även finns bland annat caféer, mataffär, restauranger, badplatser samt museum På bilderna kan man även se det fina sjötorp som ligger 10 minuter bort med cykel. En perfekt stuga för jägare, friluftsälskare eller för de som har vägarna förbi. Det finns även cyklar att hyra.

Skagern Lake House

A lake house above average, the house was built in 2020. The house is located in a small neighbourhood area, there is also a newly built loft in a building next to the lake house which will be available to rent as well. The loft has space for 2 people, with access to a double bed, without toilet and water. This will accessible in the original lake house. We do not accept animals in the house.
