Our independent ground floor studio is located in a plot of 500sq.m. (where there is also another apartment in the first floor, which you can rent if you are a bigger company: https://www.airbnb.gr/rooms/22081393?, video: https://youtu.be/XDiRssYVdB4). It is ideal for 3 guests (or even 4 guests, if they are flexible), having its own separate bathroom. It is located 4kms from the sea, in the foothills of mount Holomontas, in 300m height, in a very quiet area, enjoying a very cool climate. It offers a 360 degrees panoramic sea view towards the peninsulas of Kassandra and Sithonia, Gerakini olive groves as well as mountainous Halkidiki, being an ideal escape 365 days per year. The plot is fully fenced, being completely secure for children playing outside in the garden or pets. There are ample opportunities for walking and bicycling. The distance from Thessaloniki is 75kms and from Thessaloniki’s “Macedonia” airport is 60kms. There is ample space for free car parking. The studio and bathroom From one side of the two-storey building is the entrance to the apartment. From the other side of the building is the entrance to the ground floor studio, which comprises of a kitchenette, dining table, television, electric heater and four single sofas that open and can form single or double beds. Also there is a separate independent bathroom, just outside the studio, with a washing machine. The studio and bathroom are protected with mosquito nets, although we seldom have mosquitos. The garden In the garden, surrounding the house, there is a variety of trees and plants, many of them edible (olives, apricots, mulberries, peach trees, pomegranates, vineyards etc.), so you are most welcome to try our produce. There are two rest areas with benches and tables, barbecue and space for children to play. If there will be people in the apartment your rest area is the one just outside your studio. The garden is an ideal place to read, hear music, work, relax, start the day with a nice breakfast or to end the day with a glass of wine, gazing at the blue of the sea and the stars. We will gladly provide you for free with: sun-umbrellas, folding sand-chairs, mobile fridge with ice cubes and rackets. We are baby-friendly! For families with babies we provide: baby cot, baby chair and plastic baby bath. We can also provide you with two bicycles: one for adults and one for children. Sightseeings and activities A very modern hemodialysis center, called Nephroxenia, operates just 4km from our house. In our immediate vicinity you can do a lot of things: bicycling, jogging or walking (we will gladly show you around). One of the paths leads after 1,5km in the small byzantine church of Agios Nikolaos (14th century A.C). Poligyros, the capital of Halkidiki, is just 3kms away. There you can find the biggest hospital of Halkidiki, banks, drug stores, the Saturday farmer’s market and nice gourmet restaurants like Agioneri and Marigoula. Mountainous village Taxiarchis (8kms away) offers many outdoor activities (horse riding, walking, bicycling, archery etc.). The famous ancient Olynthus is 9kms away. In the Ormylia area there are many producers of fruits and vegetables as well as Enagelismos tis Theotokou woman’s monastery and a little further ahead man’s Arseniou monastery. In Psakoudia settlement there are organized beaches, water sports and night life. The first Sithonia and Kassandra beaches are just 20minutes driving away. Two words about us: Aris works as a teacher in a primary school, loves to travel, be in nature and getting to know new cultures and people. Co-host Daniel works as a travel journalist and mountain guide in Paiko mountain, where we have a chestnut farm, open for visitors.
