MtDome - your private midnight sun escape

Very private and cozy dome in a rare location. If you truly want to meet the Icelandic nature and weather, then this is the place for you. It has a fireplace, panorama sauna and not a person in sight. A superb place to see the northern lights or enjoy the midnight sun. You have to work for your reward by walking for about 10 minutes to the dome from the parking at the farm. Its a good place is you want to get off the beaten track and still be close to the main attractions like the golden circle.

Kirkjuland is a small farm just 10km north of Reykjavik, on Kjalarnes. Located under the beautiful mountain Esja. Peaceful and cozy.. We can host 2 persons at our facility. Fantastic view over the Reykjavik area. We are close to many beautiful places you would want to visit; like Thingvellir national park, Glymur the highest waterfall in Iceland, Húsafell , Krauma, Giljaböð natural bath places, etc. All photos of the northern lights taken in our garden! For security we have fire extinguisher, smoke detectors and motion sensors. No cameras on site.

Perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. 5 minutes from the city centre of Hafnafjörður, where you will find everything you might need. Very centrally located; Keflavik Airport 35 minutes, Blue Lagoon 35 minutes, Reykjavik city centre 25 min. Relax after a busy day in front of the fireplace and / or the salt water hot tub, whilst enjoying the northern lights.
