This secluded and very quiet, 370 sq ft in home apartment, space is nestled in the trees with a territorial view to the southwest. If you have an appreciation for hand crafted details this is the place for you: hand made windows, a bed frame made from salvaged fir bleacher seats, owner designed light fixtures, and traditionally crafted woodworking details throughout. The Chestnut stays cool in the summer and cozy in the winter with its heated concrete floors. Open all twelve windows south and west and you might think you’re in a treehouse. This space is thoughtfully designed as a restful retreat after a long day of exploring or hectic day of business travel. If you like to cook, the kitchen is complete with a gas range, a full size electric oven, microwave, under counter refrigerator/ freezer, farm style sink, and all the needed utensils. The Chestnut has its own secure entrance and private patio. It is accessible by stairs only. I am here and happy to help. Perched on the hilltop above the historic business district, the Chestnut provides easy access to Fremont neighborhood and many delicious restaurants and local shops. Look for the many public art pieces nearby or walk along the gorgeous ship canal. There are plenty of food options within walking distance and a number of buses that will easily take you downtown, east to the University district, west to Ballard, and north to greater North Seattle.

Several nearby pubs include: 74th St Alehouse and Prost. The list of food options nearby is unlimited. Details in the room. The studio has a private entry on the ground floor of my home and I live upstairs.

University Park Daylight, Mother-in-law, studio

Our sparkling clean, studio, mother-in-law apartment is located near enough to the U of W to walk but far enough to avoid most of the noise. Several coffee shops and small neighborhood stores are located within a couple of blocks. The kitchen is fitted out with essential cooking items and the bathroom contains towels, a washer and dryer. Inflatable hot tub. Guest pass for 24 hour zone street parking available during your stay.

Newly remodeled place in the University District

Welcome to our newly renovated place located in the University District. Short walk to restaurants, shops, and public transportation. Easy access to downtown.  It is on the lower floor of our house with a separate entrance in the back.  Nice and quiet neighborhood.  Since we live upstairs with our toddler, there can be some noise from upstairs.
