The river has heavy tidal flow (no river use from home). The Hoquiam River support runs of Chinook, chum, and coho salmon, steelhead, and sea-run trout. just a couple of miles upriver from Historic Downtown Hoquiam restaurants, stores and shops, 20 min to coast 45 min drive to Lake Quinault hiking trails South Shore Trailhead.

Canners Cottage will be your perfect home base for exploring the lush Quinault Rainforest and Southern half of the Olympic National Park. Adventure the Enchanted Valley from Graves Creek into the home of over 1,000 waterfalls or enjoy a relaxing day reading by the lake. The Kalaloch Beaches(located 35 minutes away) make for a great day trip exploring tide pools!

Basecamp offers a cozy, comfortable space to be centrally located to enjoy all your Westport adventures! An easy-going space that offers a fully-equipped kitchen, a small living/dining area, and a full bath with tub. There is no TV but there is high speed WiFi, some books, cards, and games. There’s an enclosed walkway and patio area offering privacy and a safe enclosure for pets. An outdoor space near your entry offers two chairs, a tabletop gas grill, and a crab pot cooker.
