If you're not familiar with this area the dams failed in 2020 but there is still a ton to enjoy on the property and the surrounding area. The home features 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths, separate rec room (pool table, dart board, bar, arcade, tv) BBQ grill, hot tub, scavenger hunt, yard games, etc.....

In May 2020, the Edenville dam on Wixom lake failed, draining the lake and turning it back into the river it was 95 years ago. Our cozy cottage now sits on hundreds of acres of ancient trees and emerging forest on a dry lake bottom with a picturesque river running through it. You & your family/friends will love your stay in this cozy upgraded cottage with an enormous deck & sunset views like no other.

Within a 45 minute drive you have Houghton Lake, smaller lakes, splash pads and casinos, something for the whole family.

Kids can play at the waters edge(“beach”area is tiny but keeps kids busy for hours) spot to put in rafts, kayaks & the paddle board) Plenty of bass to catch from shore too. Enjoy nighttime Bon fires and board games at night to wind down.

Quiet Getaway

Quiet vacation home on Wixom Lake. While the lake is gone at the moment, it’s still a nice get away location. Large side yard for parking or tents. A fire pit in the yard for a relaxing evening. The house has three bedrooms, including a double bunk bed in one room and a master suite & central heat/ac A recent addition of a garage, entryway and loft have changed the look of the place. Beautiful contemporary style home featuring a spacious, open concept layout with 3 bedrooms (2 King & 1 queen bed) & two full bathrooms. The house sits on a double lot overlooking 120' of the Tittabawassee River. Close to 5 area wedding venues! Easy access off M-61 on a paved road. Currently we enjoy the natural flow of the Tittabawassee River but please note that there no good access point to get on/in the water. Restoration of the dam creating the lake is estimated to be complete in 2026.

After being outside all day, choose to stay home at the fully-stocked cottage to cook meals and enjoy the plethora of games and yard space. There are lots of hiking trails and we are super close to town, too! Fully renovated cottage with all the conveniences you'll need!
