The famous Southern Upland Way walking route is accessible on foot from the cottage along with other beautiful hill walking, including some impressive peaks with breathtaking views. Streams and pools nearby for paddling and wild swimming adventures.

Located in Gatelawbridge, nestled within the southern upland hills yet just over a miles from independent shops, cafes, pubs and with amenities in the lovely ducal village of Thornhill. The Bothy has great original character, cosy, comfortable, well equipped with everything you need. It is welcoming with an emphasis on being immaculate.

Newton Stewart is ideally situated between the countryside and coast of the Machars and the Galloway Forest (dark sky) Park.
