At elevation 9,300, enjoy a wide, jaw-dropping view of the Sangre de Cristo mountains. The wind sings through the pines and wildlife abounds. No mosquitos, just hummingbirds! We provide lots of info about fun places within striking distance. In the fully outfitted cabin are Old West music and radio show albums, and games, puzzles, and books - many of those with a Western theme like much of decor. It's a 1 hour drive to Monarch ski resort. Great location for hunting camp or a quiet weekend with family or friends. The Cotopaxi store is a 15 min drive. They have a little restaurant, basic groceries, fishing licenses and gas station. We are located 15 mins from the Arkansas River for rafting and fishing.
