Our cozy Alaskan cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from the wild backcountry of Hatcher Pass, Skeetawk ski area, and the gorgeous cross country ski and downhill bike trails of Government Peak Recreation area. It is the ideal adventure landing-pad with all the warm comforts of home you would need after a big day in the wilderness. Palmer and Wasilla are a mere 10 and 15 minute drive in either direction with groceries, amenities and unique local dining options in abundance.

A small cabin built like a studio apartment. Very roomy and homey — quaint, quiet and simple. There’s a garden with fresh greens and herbs for your enjoyment and world class hiking and skiing within 10 minutes. Palmer and Wasilla are 15 minutes away. There’s a large parking area and shed with fun outdoor gear to use, as well as a wood burning cedar sauna. Though we ask that you request/message before using it. Want pets? Only 2 miles off highway,good road right up to door. Has 2 small decks.relaxing scenery, due to remodeling private fire pit not available You can get your exercise walking to the lake. Dock. We have loons, eagles, and some other Wildlife. On 17 mile lake. Has trout, so bring a pole. Great couple getaway. Questions just ask.

The Johnson House Cottage

The cottage is a secluded guesthouse in a friendly neighborhood with spectacular views of the Knik Glacier and river. This retreat has room for up to four guests. It is an open floor plan with a double bed on the ground floor and twin beds in an upstairs loft. The kitchen has an induction cooktop, refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave. Propane BBQ on the deck and bathroom with a shower. Our cottage is not visible from the parking area so self check-in is not an option.

Rustic Lakefront log cabin with a private outdoor steam room (*) on a quiet, non-motorized lake near the Big Lake recreation area and on the way to Denali. Warm up in the steam room after a day of exploring. Kayak and paddle boat right from the dock (June–September), firepit, and watch for moose, cranes, and swans passing through the yard. Kitchen with bar seating, private lake access, and peaceful nature all around. Sleeps 5 comfortably, up to 7.
