Co będziecie robić

Get out of the hustle-and-bustle of Edinburgh for a day, take in stunning views of the city from the summit of an extinct volcano, and discover Edinburgh's unique history and folklore with a local guide.

With it's cobbled streets and winding lanes, there's no city quite as magical as Edinburgh. But have you ever ventured outside of the main city to discover its beautiful surroundings? Edinburgh has breathtaking green spaces steeped in history and mythology right on its doorstep, and we want to take you there.

Over 2 and a half hours, we will walk a route through the scenic royal reserve of Holyrood Park, climbing up to the summit of Arthur's Seat, before descending and taking in spectacular views from the iconic Salisbury Crags. On the way, you'll see stunning views of Edinburgh and the surrounding areas, from the dockyards of Leith, the majestic Firth of Forth and the verdant hills of East Lothian.

While we walk, you will hear stories of Edinburgh's historical past; its creation and triumphs, its darkest moments (including some violent battles and horrid murders), and its momentous scientific discovery!

See Edinburgh from a new perspective. Join us for an outdoor adventure!

This tour has been modified to keep you safe during COVID-19. Expect the same breathtaking tour, but with smaller group sizes, social distancing, face coverings and (more) crowd-free stops.
Other things to note
Guests should have a good level of physical fitness and be comfortable hiking for 2 hours on steep slopes and uneven terrain. There are steep steps, slopes, and rocky areas on this tour, and no toilets will be available. Accessible parking is available at Holyrood Car Park. Prepare for wet weather

Fabulous tour!! Our guide, John, was delightful. He kept us entertained, informed and in good spirits the entire time. We learned a lot, laughed a lot and experienced gorgeous views, fresh air and good exercise. John willingly adjusted based on our need for breaks along the way, so it was a pleasant experience for everyone. Highly recommend this tour!

We were lucky enough to have John all to ourselves on his first post-lockdown guided walk up Arthur's Seat and, as such, we benefitted from a highly personalised tour. The safety measures put in place post-covid, including wearing face masks and stopping at less-crowded points along the walk, didn't detract from the experience at all. John is an incredibly enthusiastic guide and his passion for walking, Arthur's Seat and Edinburgh is infectious! The walk was well-paced and we were made to feel very comfortable from the start. John was very flexible about breaks, our route and happily answered all our questions - in fact by the end of the tour, it just felt like we were just on a walk and chatting with a friend. It was a really unique experience and we would 100% recommend this guided walk to anyone visiting Edinburgh.

I couldn't enjoy breathtaking scenery from the top of the hill without John, who has profound knowledge with enough consideration for the tourist's feeling and safety. I recommend this memorable experience to every tourist in Edinburgh!

John was a great guide during the whole experience! He was very passionate and friendly, and also made sure every one in the group was alright before continuing the hike. Most importantly, he made sure that the route we took was the safest based on the weather condition. Would definitely recommend!

John was so friendly, knowledgeable and fun to be with! He took good care of me on the way down, which was a bit slippery. So glad we did this!
