You will be able to see how our handcrafted beer is being produced from grinding the grains until drinking the beer. We are a micro brewery which makes it really interesting to have a closer look into the process of craft beer. You will discover the little secrets of a brewer and at the end you will have a lovely degustation on our patio with the view on the White Mountains.
Whenever there is a brewing day you can book a spot (3 people maximum) to live a day in the live of a brewer (dates given upon request). You will be able to follow the whole brewing process live from grain and water until the fermentation process.
You will be able to see how our handcrafted beer is being produced from grinding the grains until drinking the beer. I am the owner and brewer of the only micro-brewery in the city of Chania: Lafkas Brewery. Me and my husband, Michel Lafkas, started brewing craft beer 2 years ago here in Chania and are making now handcrafted, non-filtered and non-pasteurised beer. It all started in 2011 when Michel, back then studying wine making and beverage technology, visited Belgium to know more about the beer culture. There he met me, the Belgian girl that would show him the way through the Belgian beers. Five years later we ended up living together in Crete and decided to make our own Belgian-Greek Beer.

Great microbrewery just outside Chania. Aurelie was very personable and guided us not only the brewing process, but her and her family's journey to achieve what they have, and how the brewery is part of the local community. Would highly recommend a visit, and tasting, to anyone interested in beer. Thank you Aurelie.

What a fabulous experience - Aurelie is so friendly and knowledgeable, she brings the whole experience to life. Fantastic set up, and beautiful views, the beer is a great way to end the experience. I can't recommend the tour enough!

Unique experience for a small brewery compare to the usual large group. Super friendly host and great tasty beer. Must do list in Chania. :-D

Formidable expérience ! Une découverte particulièrement positive et intéressante.
