A great way to explore the other side of Yucatan. We enjoyed my tours very much. Oxkintok ruins was peaceful and empty unlike major archaeological sites. I would say my favorite would be the caves since it was my first time doing anything with the caves and I felt safe as long you listen and pay attention to your surroundings. Some things to note about the caves --it is still quite humid inside the cave. You will get dirty, so be sure to wear old clothing you do not mind getting dirt on. Also, I would not recommend it to anyone afraid of the dark, have claustrophobia, or mobility issues. While we did not swim in the cenote, it will still very beautiful to look at. Charlie (and Rosa) were very personable and hospitable to us. If you need a day tour of ruins, caves, and cenote beyond the tourist radar, this is it~!

A wonderful, once in a lifetime experience! As exciting as it is to visit different ruins around Yucatan and swimming in different cenotes, being able to explore the Xpukil caves was a very accelerating experience. Something we had never experience before. The caves were home to the first settlers of the peninsula and refuge to the rebel Mayas during the Guerra de Castas. We were guided by our host Charlie and a local expert guide named Don Victor. Don Victor's expertise and knowledge of this complex cave system, took us through a series of "chambers" were we got to see remains of broken pottery, molcajetes (grind stones), and differet types of quartz stones. The constant flybys of bats and a couple of centipedes on the ground made the experience even more exciting. Once deep in the caves, while inside one of the biggest chambers, we all turned off our lights and experience darkness as never before. Don Victor was very safety and preservation conscious, always telling us even where to step to remain safe and to not disturb the natural pathways, rocks and quartz. The area is difficult to get to since there is only a pathway there, Charlie's off road vehicle had no problem getting us there. We also visited a pre columbian Mayan site and got to swim in a semi open cenote and got to eat a delicious typical dish, prepared by the owner of the land where this cenote sits. Overall a highly recommended great adventure and bucket list item. You will get dirty, make sure to follow all instructions to better prepare.

Es una experiencia bastante interesante que permite conocer un aspecto menos comercial de los principales espacios turísticos de Yucatán, sitios arqueológicos, cuevas y cenotes. Charlie es una persona extremadamente agradable y carismática.

This is a experience that shows you the real Yucatan. The cave were a bit challenging, but in a good way. I have visite caves before but not in this way. You get a bit dirty, but then after you feel good because of the impressions and the workout climbing the cave. The cenote is inside the backyard of a private home, a very special thing to see and experience. Me and the guide hade the cenote all to ourself. So calming and you hear only the sound of the water. Very good experience.

The experience is wonderful and unique. My favorite part was definitely the cave. It is a bit of a physical challenge since at some point you have to go through narrow passages but it is totally worth it! Charly is a great guy, very friendly and easy to get along with. I definitely recommend this experience!

Fabulous. The experience was led by Charlie and his brother, and besides me there was as a couple from New York. Oxkintok ruins were peaceful, with few others around except our group , being Jan 1. The highlight was the caves. 2 hours of Indiana Jones in a complex cave system, pitch dark and requiring physical and mental fortitude. Not advisable for folks with mobility challenges, claustrophobia or fear of dark places. But such an adrenalin rush and achievement when completed. Last was the cenote. It was my 2nd cenote. I disliked my 1st cenote near Tulum but the one on this experience was great! Very private and water was clean. Lunch at the cenote was yummy over chilled beer and chilled vibes and conversation. What a great way to start Jan 1 with Charlie and Matt on this lovely experience.
