This was such a magical, breathtaking tour, and I saw sights I’d never have seen without Regina’s expertise. The path was beautiful, the view from the monasteries was spectacular, and Regina was an expert host who contextualized the beauty of Skopelos with its rich history. We are so thankful for this experience!

An incredible experience with a very knowledgable, generous and friendly host. The monasteries were really beautiful, as was the hike itself. There were breathtaking views in addition to quiet walking through the forest. Regina shared interesting stories of pirate invasions, local legends, and many aspects of history and culture, and she patiently answered all questions. We never felt rushed or hurried along. It was like walking with a new friend. Along the way, we stopped at a picnic spot with a wonderful view where she treated us to pastries, sweets and local honey. While much of the hike up is moderate in terms of incline, be aware that there is one steep uphill stretch, and the trail is rocky -- so wear good hiking shoes. Regina is very kind and she's happy to stop if you need a break. There were toilet facilities and water at the first monastery, and a little shop at the second selling herbs, icons, incense, and olive oil soaps made by the monks. The overall length was between 6-7 miles. It was an absolutely gorgeous, memorable day.
