Charming caravan with decked area set in a private part of my gorgeous garden. The caravan has everything you need for a break to get away from the hustle and bustle, and is 10 mins walk to golf course and beach. Shops, pubs and other amenities close by too.
I have lovingly restored the interior of the caravan in vintage style. It offers a traditional holiday away from the hustle and bustle in a quiet location. It is set in my beautiful garden full of fruit trees, and I have added a deck outside the caravan which has seating on it for you to enjoy. All bed linen, duvets and towels are included as well as dishes, crockery, pots and pans and anything else you need to make your time enjoyable. Inside it has two bench seats which can be used as 2 single beds or made into a double bed and another bed for a child/ small adult. This listing is only suitable for 3 guests. The price is based on 2 people sharing, there is a little extra to pay for 3 people sharing the space. The caravan has a lovely fitted kitchen area with fridge, hob and oven, kettle and toaster. I have included tea bags and coffee and sugar, so no need to buy these as well as cleaning materials and many extras! There is a small shower room and chemical toilet. Plenty of storage space as well, it is double glazed and has warm air heating so you will be very cosy inside. There is wi-fi available for guest use. I aim to create a perfect holiday experience for guests, and asks guests to enjoy my garden by sitting outside with a drink or by enjoying a barbecue on the patio. This is a camping and outdoor type of holiday. It is similar to having a touring caravan on a campsite with electric hook up and a chemical toilet; It is NOT a static caravan. Guests may have use of the toilet/shower in the main house, for a small charge of £2-50 per day, by arrangement if they wish.
The surrounding neighbourhood is a quiet residential area. But there are plenty of things to do close by :- Sandy beach 5-10 mins walk. Championship golf course 10 mins walk away Cycle path 2 minutes away from house to Dundee/ Arbroath. Coastal path that goes to Arbroath or Monifieth 2 mins walk Plenty of pubs and places to eat close by Country parks and nature trails only a few miles away Barry mill- local place of interest with nature trail and walk Plenty of pubs, shops, banks etc close by. Spar shop and cash line 2 mins walk. Pharmacy 2 mins walk
  • We had a fab time in the vintage style caravan every thing you need for a comfortable stay and Monica and her partner were lovely and inviting we will definitely stay or pop past next time we are in the area annie and stoop

  • Monica is the perfect host. She made my visit extra special. I consider her a new lifelong friend! Such positive energy and full of comfort and love. She made me feel special. Couldnt be any more exemplary than this! A+ rating for Monica.

  • This little caravan is an oasis of calm and beauty. It's so near shops and transport, walks and the beach and golf course but once you enter the wonderful garden and sit on the deck outside the caravan you could be a million miles away. The garden is exquisite. Monica and Dean are so welcoming and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend it to restore the soul.

  • A Wonderful Experience! Monica and her partner Dean went above and beyond to ensure our stay in the Caravan and in Carnoustie was welcoming and lovely. The caravan itself is exactly how it is in the pictures (a small independent space full of country chic charm with many unexpected amenities including gas oven and stove, tv, fridge and shower). We were initially unsure about the fit of the double bed for my husband as he is well over 6 feet tall but the bed had more than enough room for him to be comfortable (indeed we slept great EVERY night!) While we were there Monica was working on getting wifi in the caravan but in the mean time she had an ethernet connection for the laptop available and invited us to use her conservatory attached to the house for our wifi devices at our leisure. The cooked breakfast was delicious both days we had it (including Monicas' home made berry jam for the toast!) And at £5 per person was a good value for money. Several days Monica also gave us some lovely produce from her garden for our dinner (all amazing and fresh and totally an unexpected bonus!) Monica and Dean were both warm and friendly hosts, willing to answer any questions, and give advice (especially great for us in our move to Scotland). Thanks so much again for hosting us for the week!

  • My boyfriend and I have spent 3 nights in Monica and Dean's place. It felt like home! We were sleeping in nicely decorated caravan, that had all you might need in there: gas, sockets, fridge, hot shower, towels, tv/radio, mini toilet (there were one more toilet in the house available for guests). We had proper breakfasts served by Monica (it was £5 per portion) every morning in conservatory in the garden, then went out to explore nearest villages, forests, lochs, seacoast by bicycles (bicycles can also be provided by hosts). As described in the listing, this caravan is located in 15 minutes from seacoast which has perfect walk and cycle routes. Sceneries are everywhere around Carnoustie, it's a lovely place, provided with good walks and amazing landscapes. Feel free to ask for advice, Dean and Monica are extremely helpful and they also have touristic background :)

  • Monica is a very congenial host, I had a few changes with my arrival time but it was dealt with very professionally. On arrival I had the grand tour of the caravan and it is exactly as shown in the photographs. A very comfortable haven, I couldn't have chosen a worse time as it coincided with Storm Gertrude so it was a case of battening down the hatches and weathering the storm! Anyway back to the welcome, Monica went into every detail of everything you needed to know about the van in a very nice friendly welcoming way & I'm sure that if you do not know the area she will be a wealth of knowledge with things to see and do. As I was travelling alone I did not make up the double bed but the single was very good & apart from the inclement weather I'm sure I would have slept through. Great heating and cooking facilities and there is the offer of the use of the conservatory and the inside toilet during the hours your host is awake. All in all, a very pleasant couple of days and if I'm back in the area this will definitely be my first choice!

  • Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Monica was a delightful host and extremely accommodating. The caravan was immaculately clean with everything you would need for a relaxing stay. With a gym less than a mile away as well it felt like home from home.

  • We were made to feel extremely welcome upon arrival and, despite the caravan being in a back garden in Carnoustie, with the blinds down and rain pattering on the roof we felt like we were a million miles away from civilisation. I would highly recommend the caravan looking for a cosy getaway.

  • Nous avons apprécié notre séjour chez Monica. En plus de la chambre, nous avions une véranda à notre disposition. Monica et son mari étaient très disponibles et amicaux et nous ont donné de nombreux conseils pour la suite de notre voyage !

  • Monica made us feel very welcome and perfectly at home. The bed was super comfortable and she really thought about the details. I liked that there were little boxes of commonly forgotten male and female items in the wardrobe, like shampoo or a razor. The area was quiet and breakfast was nice and relaxed with the sun shining in through the conservatory windows - positively summery! Thank you Monica!

Nestled in the trees over looking stunning views of the surrounding countryside and the sea, The Wee Hoose is a cute two person glamping pod with access to a sauna, fantastic private bathroom, washing and drying facilities. Made entirely from upcycled doors and materials, it looks it could lead straight to Narnia! Perfect for golf lovers as it is Five minutes from Carnoustie and The Open 2018!
Providing a luxury camping experience. The Wee Hoose in the trees is made entirely from reclaimed doors and wood.
Close to Monikie and Crombie country parks, the Wee Hoose overlooks stunning countryside and the sea. Minutes from stunning beaches. Short driving distance to major Golf courses, including St Andrews. 7 miles from the city of Dundee
  • Our stay couldn't be better. We had the most wonderfull time in Newbiggin. The view over the sea is amazing, and in the evening we sit by the campfire. It was so relaxing and calm. Jim and his wife were so nice and extremly helpful! We definitely will come back one day.

  • Such a romantic place to stay.

  • We stayed for 2 nights in the lovely wee house, which build only from old doors. It is in the garden of a B&B but it is the perfect distance to have you enjoying peace and quiet and still not too far to go the bathroom at night. ;-) They placed some led lights in the trees, so you’ll find your way to the house even at night time. Behind the B&B is a whiskey-barrel-shaped-sauna. Up to 4 people can enjoy some heat in there. Just ask Chriss or James to warm it up for you. I recommend to use the sauna around 8/9 PM, so you’ll enjoy the evening view over the country side afterwards. In front of the home is enough parking space, even for a big car. Just type in the B&B Pitairly farm in your sat navi and you’ll find it easily. Or just drive into Newbigging and leave the town on the side where the “Pitairly Garage” is. You’ll drive by a house on the left and one on the right side. After the next corner, there will be a wee road going the right. There is a field with sheep on the left and a house on the right. That’s your destination. There are two restaurants nearby. Just asked your hosts, they’ll give you further instructions. The wee house was really clean. On the table inside was water, two cups and some fresh strawberries and shortbread. Inside the B&B lives the cutes wee dog and outside you’ll probably meet the farm cat. Both animals are very very friendly to humans. The dog never barked and looks like a wee sheep full of joy. The cat is still very young and curious and you can pet it, if you want to. As far as tourist stuff goes, you can drive up to Broughty Ferry (old Castle with no entry fee), St. Andrews (where Prince William went to university) and to Dundee (bigger town with loads of shops – if you want to park, there is a big parking space in front of the “TK Maxx”). We actually went to all three towns, just in one day. So if you get up early, you can explore at lot of the Dundee-Shire. We recommend to stay at the wee-house of Chriss+James. You’ll be in the countryside and enjoy the nature and you are still close to several towns and castles, if you want some action. So all in all – the best of both worlds. J+N

  • The listing is clean and very comfortable. It's very quiet and Scenic. The bed is cosy snug and warm. Sunrise and sunset can be viewed from the garden which is in immaculate condition. The hosts are very communicative and helpful. This is a five star camping experience without the usual hassle of traditional camping.

  • Wonderful hosts who helped us out with anything we needed!

Lovely place, very convenient location. Perfect for the seven of us.
    Wielka Brytania
Hands down the best experience we've had with Airbnb so far. Lynsey was welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The house was very tidy, cosy and as advertised. If you want some real Dundee hospitality this is the place for you!
Margaret is a great host. She made me feel very welcome and helped for whatever was necessary. The flat has a great localisation and is very comfortable. Honestly, it is a bit noisy since it is in the city center, but I would highly recommend it if you are visiting the city for the first. It is across the bus station, next to shopping centres, train station and touristic places. Besides, it is close to a Leisure place with swimming pool and fitness activities. The internet signal is strong and very useful too. Well, I had a great staying!!
