Just booked in Minneapolis
This third-floor studio apartment with a woodsy feel and loft has all the privacy you need for a Twin Cities get-away weekend. As it is only four blocks from the Blue Line Metro, it has all of the downtown/airport accessibility for business and easy transfers to the Green Line Metro that runs to St. Paul and the University of Minnesota. The studio has a bathroom and a kitchenette with a refrigerator, sink, microwave (no stove). The studio space has two queen beds in different nooks.
Our space has two queen beds, a full bath, and a common space with a couch, sitting area and wood-burning stove, table and chairs, and a kitchenette. For breakfast, the Pow-Wow Cafe is right around the corner and the fabulous Maria's Cafe is right down the street. The space also has a fridge, sink, microwave, Keurig, hot pot, and panini maker (note: there is no stove/oven). In the summer, our home has AC units in the windows and a ceiling fan overhead. In the winter, the unit has forced air and a wood-burning stove. We are glad to provide a heating blanket to those who would like one. We have free parking on the street, but no reserved parking spots on the property. For the comfort of our guests, the queen mattresses have a 100% hypoallergenic, waterproof mattress protector covers.
There is plenty to do in the Minneapolis metro area, and our place is just .75 miles from downtown, including the Viking's Stadium, Gold Medal Park, and the Guthrie Theatre. We are 1.2 miles from the Minneapolis Convention Center and favorites such as Global Market and the Midtown Greenway. Lake Calhoun, Lake of the Isles, Lake Harriet, and Minnehaha Falls are just five miles away to the southwest and southeast of us. If you are coming to the cities for a gastronomic adventure, Hell's Kitchen, Matt's Bar (for the Juicy Lucy burger) or Fogo de Chao for a fancy dinner are just a short drive away. A note about our urban, ethnic neighborhood: we do live in the city center which means that our neighborhood is busy and very varied: our home is near bus lines, public spaces like parks, coffee shops, non-profit offices, other large old Victorian homes, government buildings, apartment complexes, health clinics, and the many different types of people traveling through the neighborhood on a daily basis. Urban city life is densely populated, so you will want to exercise city-smarts and common sense when traveling out late at night from our place. If that makes you uncomfortable, you might prefer to stay in one of the quieter neighborhoods outside the city center like Nokomis or Eden Prairie, White Bear, St. Louis Park, Plymouth, or Longfellow. We, however, love the energy of the city of Minneapolis. One of our favorite pluses of living in Minneapolis's city center in the Ventura Village neighborhood is the fact that we enjoy a huge diversity of neighbors from all parts of the world and with it the customs, the dress, the food, and vivacity that they all bring to Minneapolis.
  • Comfy, cozy with two double beds. Just know that there are lots of steps which may hamper an elderly person's ability, but I didn't mind them. In fact, Betsy helped with our backs. The apartment is quiet and I slept so well.

    Catherine2017-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Zach and Betsy's place is great! Our party of 68, 37, and 9 yo's enjoyed the separate beds and space. The neighborhood is diverse and urban but we felt totally welcome and safe. Eat authentic Colombian breakfast down the street at Maria's and walk up to the Franklin Ave light rail stop to get anywhere in MSP. Highly recommended- we would book again without hesitation.

    Erik2017-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Zach&Betsy's studio apartment was just as described. It was cozy, homey and a perfect comfort for when we weren't out and about exploring Minneapolis. The distance to public transportation which brought us anywhere we could possibly want to go was very satisfying. The only thing we weren't too thrilled about was that the surrounding neighborhood didn't seem too inspired - we didn't feel very comfortable walking around the immediate area. Otherwise a decent and wallet-friendly choice for accommodation.

    Alexandra2017-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was a cute little place to stay! Very urban and you truly get the the downtown experience. Zack and Betsy were great hosts and were very helpful from the very beginning of booking until the end!!

    Jill 2017-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Zach and Betsy's! We arrived later than expected because we hit a terrible snow storm. They were very accommodating and gave us all the information we needed so we could arrive at whatever time. The space is very comfortable and spacious! We loved how close it was to the US bank stadium. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to anyone!

    Paula2016-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • Zach was very nice. The place is cozy and a little quirky. Spacious kitchen area for those that will use it. I'm unsure about walking around the neighborhood since I arrived at night. There are skylights right above the bed that could get a little bright in the morning.

    Maureen2016-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Zach & Betsy's tree-top is an oasis! Very beautiful place not too far from downtown Minneapolis. It has a beautiful touch of a log cabin feel with the way it's built and the outdoor patio is a dream. I'd highly recommend staying here even if it's just for a night!

    Alex2016-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very cozy space, yet it was much larger than I had anticipated. You can't get much cozier than a working wood-fired pot belly stove. I also was surprised how warm the space was for an attic, and there were extra blankets for the beds if you needed them. It would have been fun to be there with a few more friends, since there is room and beds to accommodate. The attached outdoor patio is fantastic, really wish we'd had more time and better weather to spend sitting out there. A lot of work has been put into this space and the effort has paid off. Location is great if you're visiting downtown Minneapolis and, for us, it was also great for being a place to stay while we went to work in one of the nearby suburbs. Easy to access from the highway and seems like a great urban neighborhood. My only regret, is that I wish we had spent more time at 'home' - like getting take out and eating by the fire and then having some hot cocoa out on the patio. Thanks Zach and Betsy!

DOWNTOWN, FREE PARKING, HOT TUB. We have reinvented the traditional Bed & Breakfast by catering to the needs of the modern traveler. The mansion provides luxury accommodations for all types of stays including business travel, romantic vacations, cross-country overnights, special occasions, and corporate retreats. The mansion is immaculately restored to preserve its architectural significance, along with modern amenities.
Hand carved Victorian bed that looks like a throne (no joke) in a wonderful mansion! The main mansion encompasses thousands of square feet of common area including a formal dining room, grand drawing room, and library, all of which we encourage our guests to enjoy. The estate also houses an original carriage house, porches around the house, and three unique gardens.
On the hill overlooking Loring Park in Downtown Minneapolis. The mansion is walking distance to everything downtown.
  • We had a fantastic stay. Great host (plus adorable host dog!) and a perfect location for a quick weekend trip. An extremely walkable city and this spot, you are not farther than a 30 min walk anywhere, not to mention how close you are to a few public bike stands. Would love to visit the city and the hosts again!

  • This is a wonderful place to stay! I enjoyed learning about the history of the beautiful home and wandering through the common areas imagining what life was like a hundred years ago. Sam and his team have maintained and decorated it beautifully and they run the bed and breakfast like a well-oiled machine. I had a seamless check-in and check-out and a lovely continental breakfast where I enjoyed chatting with other guests and hearing more about daily life in the home. My room shared a bathroom with one other guest room but we had no trouble coordinating. The room was cozy and welcoming with beautiful furniture pieces and the house is near the sculpture garden and Loring Park, making it a great location for hopping right into seeing the sights in the morning. Highly recommended!

  • My boyfriend and I stayed at Sam’s place for 1 night. We arrived late due to weather conditions and Sam was very accommodating. The home and room were lovely, historical, clean and we loved the complimentary breakfast. We hope to stay again soon!

  • This place was beautiful! I just wish I could've stayed longer!

    Jackie2017-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a cool spot! A historic mansion converted into a bnb - A hidden gem in minneapolis for sure. There's an awesome pin ball machine in the garage, some great hang out spaces and breakfast allows for some quality interactions with other guests. ALSO, the gorgeous pup Madonna makes the house that much better.

Andrew H. Adams home: Built in 1891 by a master builder named T.P Healy. This beautiful Queen Ann victorian home is loaded with all the beauty and character you would expect from a master builder, as well as a completely updated kitchen and bath.
  • This was the perfect place to stay for a stop over in Minneapolis. I especially appreciated having the kitchen and being able to leave my food in the kitchen area. Appreciated the minimal nature of the place. Checkin was very streamlined and easy. Really happy with my stay!

    Ann2018-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Although I didn't get to meet Douglas (or anyone) during my 2 night stay the check-in process was easy, parking was available, and the place was as described. I'd stay again!

    Tara2017-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Decent stay. Feels a bit vacant. But overall clean and straightforward.

    Mia2018-04-12T00:00:00Z

  • A beautiful historic house in a quiet neighborhood. Convenient to both downtown and uptown.

    russel2017-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • For the cost this place is great. I really just needed a place to shower and sleep and that's exactly what I got. Location was good, other guest were nice, and the house was beautiful. If you're looking for a just a room to rest in this is perfect.

  • Great room for a great price. Was able to walk to coffee shops and such. Cute home with trendy clean rooms. Would definitely book again.

  • We loved staying in this beautiful home while we explored Minneapolis! All of the amenities were great-- laundry, free parking, the well-equipped kitchen and the beautiful big bathroom. Out of all the Airbnbs I've stayed in, this was by far the simplest to check in to as well. I would've loved to meet some other travellers, since it seemed like a very collegial place to hang out, but it was also nice having such a beautiful big place almost to ourselves! I would definitely recommend staying in any of the rooms here

Urban sanctuary micro apt. in historic home. Minutes from downtown and uptown, centrally located in the bustling neighborhood of Whittier. One block from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Minneapolis Institute of Arts and the Children's Theatre Company. One block from 'Eat Street' - music venues, coffee shops, diverse restaurants.
This is a one room efficiency apt. on the first floor of a 135 year old triplex that's actively being restored. This is a small but very charming space, newly remodeled and efficiently designed. Create the mood you desire with a variety of recessed, dimmable lighting options. There is an abundance of storage with an oversized closet and a spacious multi-compartmented armoire. The apt. has space saving pocket doors, bamboo hardwood floors, a full kitchen with amenities, free washer and dryer, and a spacious bathroom with a claw foot tub and a skylight. Wifi and free off street parking available.
In all humility, this neighborhood is happenin. We are the heart of the city; authentic, truly diverse and rich with history. Located one block off of 'Eat Street', German, Greek, Jamaican, Malaysian, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Middle Eastern, coal fired pizza and an amazing organic market/deli are all within steps from your back gate or within a block or two. Relax with a great cup of coffee at the 'Spyhouse' at the end of the alley or enjoy a fantastic breakfast/lunch/dinner at the 'Copper Hen' right across the alley.
  • Colin was a great host. Made the process very easy and respected our privacy, but was there to answer our questions. Very private rental and very comfortable. Great neighborhood with a lot of diversity. So many bars and restaurants to choose from. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

    Jessie2015-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Colin was an excellent host and provided all the comforts of home while being away. The space was pristine, comfortable, and spacious! It made traveling feel a lot less stressful! I loved the guest travel notebook and enjoyed reading the shared experiences of previous travelers.

    Nicole2015-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Colin's place is such a gem. The location is great--around the corner from lots of spots to eat, drink, and more. And the space itself is spotless and so homey. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

    Hannah2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Cool art and sweet spot for exploring the neighborhood

    Emma2018-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • My fiance and I actually live in Minneapolis, but we had the opportunity to stay here this past week while we were having some work done on our house. Even though we were just a couple of miles from home, everything about our stay felt like a mini getaway! It was a cozy and wonderfully decorated apartment and I felt like EVERY detail had been thought of and addressed. We even got to bring our dog buddy, Freddie along. He appreciated sniffing around the fenced in backyard. This would be the PERFECT place to stay if visiting MPLS on vacation. You are centrally located near dozens of amazing restaurants, a wonderful art museum, and a short bus/bike ride away from any other number of awesome places in the city. I would definitely recommend staying here--this is a thousand times better than any hotel. Colin was in great communication with us in the days leading up to our stay and made it very easy to get our keys and check in.

    Sarah2016-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • I had a fantastic stay at Colin's micro apartment. It was beautifully furnished and decorated, with an amazing attention to detail. The location was excellent, with just a short walk to great eateries and bars. It was a great base for exploring Minneapolis.

    Jude2016-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • This spot was exactly as advertised and I really enjoyed my stay. Colin is a great host and his tiny apartment is a hidden gem.

    Giovanni2017-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Colin's place was perfect for us -- it was close to a lot of great food options and easy to get around (we had our car, but would have been fine without it). the apartment was a nice size, clean, and very comfortable.

You will have access to your private room as well as living room, bathroom/shower, closets and large kitchen. Also a washer and dryer are in the basement. There is ample street parking. We, your hosts, live across the street.
Each of our guest rooms is sun filled with a comfy queen size bed. In warmer summer months, we have a window AC unit available for use, as well as a fan. In winter months, extra blankets are available. Included in your stay is access to gigabit internet (50 times faster than most others).
We are within less than a mile and within walking distance to downtown, US Bank Stadium, Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Children's Hospital, HCMC, and the Convention Center. We are just a couple miles from the center of the University of Minnesota, Uptown, Lake Calhoun, Lake Harriet, Lake of the Isles, and Lake Nokomis. We love good food, so we can also point you in the direction of local eating hot spots. We love our neighborhood. So much so, that we bought another home right across the street where we are raising our three daughters. We appreciate its diversity and vibrancy and how centrally located it is to the entire metro!! Because we are in the heart of the city, we get to experience people from broad cultural and economic backgrounds in a densely populated area. Our neighborhood, Ventura Village, is a part of the most diverse neighborhood in the entire country with over 100 languages spoken here! There are restaurants, healthcare buildings, old Victorian homes, apartment buildings, and non-profit organizations. We consider it a privilege to live here, but it being in the heart of the city is not for everyone. During your stay, you may encounter lingering people panhandling. If this makes you feel uncomfortable, we may not be the place for you. Obviously, you will want to exercise "street smarts" as you would in any major metropolitan area. If you are looking for a quieter stay in the Twin Cities, you may prefer looking outside of our neighborhood. But we hope you won't. :)
  • Josh and Amy were great hosts, and the unit itself was fantastic as well! Easy to get to central Minneapolis, as well as other interesting and diverse neighborhoods. The apartment was clean, had AC, and good wifi. If you come, I'd recommend using the bike share program to get around - there's a station right by Amy and Josh's, and Minneapolis is a very bikeable city.

    Jack2017-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • We didn't have the oportunity to meet Amy or Josh in person. However they provided very clear directions on how to get to the property. Since the listing had everything we didn't need any other assistance during our stay.

    Pamela2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome and super cute apartment. The room was so cute and the bed was so comfortable!

    Megan2017-03-12T00:00:00Z

  • Our stay was lovely, it was my first time ever using air bnb and I'm so glad it was here with these hosts. Josh took the initiative to greet us personally and make sure everything was a okay. Comfy bed, cozy common areas all around wonderful place and people :)

    Sam2016-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amy & Josh's place wasn't hard to find. I arrived late in Minneapolis so the instructions given to us for late check-in. Lots of security as there are many doors with key locks to get to the place where we were staying. I was not expecting to walk up a steep flight of stairs so for those who have accessibility issues this may not be for you. Overall comfortable stay and Josh was even kind enough to tell us in the morning to check out the stone-arch bridge and a coffee shop. Area is close to the downtown area within walking distance to many things and sights.

    Marietta2017-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great for a weekend getaway! We decided to take our car into town instead of walking because it was farther than we anticipated, but it was not difficult to find parking whatsoever! We had a great stay and would recommend the space! Amy and Josh were friendly hosts and were able to be reached during our entire stay.

A queen pillow top bed sleeps two in your private room on the main floor of my home. Just four blocks to Victory Memorial Parkway, which links to the Grand Rounds bike/walk paths circling Mpls. It's a 10 minute drive to downtown Mpls, and easily accessible by multiple highways. I love that my neighborhood is diverse, centrally located, and home to many historic, well-maintained homes.
My home is a cozy and welcoming place for you to rest and recharge during your time in Minneapolis! You'll have your own room on the main floor, and use of the main floor bathroom, which will be shared with other Airbnb guests. The bedroom has a queen bed, nightstand, and closet. The bright bathroom has a shower and jetted tub.
I'm in the urban Cleveland neighborhood of NW Minneapolis. My block is comprised of single-family homes (one duplex on the corner), mostly homeowners and a couple of rentals. My neighborhood is diverse and safe--it will not look like a suburban neighborhood. You'll often hear the neighborhood kids playing on weekends and evenings in warmer months. My home is four blocks to the beautiful Victory Memorial Parkway, part of the Grand Rounds bike/walking paths that travel throughout Minneapolis, and which are unique in every season. I'm less than a mile from North Memorial Hospital (I do hear sirens and helicopters when enjoying my patio), and just a 10 minute drive from downtown Minneapolis. It's also easy to access multiple highways to get around the Twin Cities area. The neighborhood is very residential--I can't boast of a coffee shop on the corner :) The closest businesses are a few blocks away, and include the awesome Lowry Cafe, family-run North End Hardware, and a Subway, Family Dollar, and ALDI, as well as a post office. Minneapolis bus service is very reliable, but my home is probably a better fit if you will have a car while in town.
  • Unfortunately we could only stay one night with Elise. But she was the most receptive and friendly host we could imagine, her facilities are charming, absolutely proper and Elise was very helpful in supporting us to find our ways (as European and public transport user ) around. I can warmly recommend Elise. Thank you for your welcome. We hope that next time we can stay longer. Beate and Maika

  • This place is amazing. Nice and clean, quite neighbour, and she prepared many amenities for us. I enjoyed this place.

    Rachel2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Oh wow. Elise is so great!!! My arrival time changed very last minute- I thought I'd booked her place sooner than I had, and Elise was not only flexible, but also gracious. Elise was super friendly and kind, giving me local knowledge, tips, and recommendations. Elise is doing a great job being a homeowner; very cute house, from the glass-block windows to the bedazzled doorknobs. Definitely a sweet place. Gift baskets of toiletries, extra-comfy bed, and hot showers.

    Rosie2016-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Elise was very welcoming and friendly, and I had a really nice stay. The bed was comfortable, the room was really beautiful, and her home is very nice. What a nice spot! I totally recommend staying here. :)

  • Very nice place and Awesome host!

    Yoel2017-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, welcoming, wonderful space. I can see a lot of people with different temperaments enjoying Elise's place. I am not picky, but my wife is, and she had zero complaints. Elise was friendly and willing to chat, but would leave you to rest if you had a long day. Helpful notes everywhere, locks on all rental spaces, washer/dryer in the basement, an all around lovely stay. We took public transit and drove both, and it was only ever 15ish minutes to things we wanted to do. Cannot recommend Elise enough.

  • Ruth is a polite and courteous host! Her Airbnb has three especially wonderful traits, in our opinion- one is the price, and the other two are her dog, Eli, and her cat, Milo! They are so sweet and friendly!

    Sophia2018-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Overall decent place to stay

    Taylor2018-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Ruth's place was comfortable and just as shown in the pictures. It was in a great location, very close to downtown Minneapolis and great restaurants.

    Aniruddha2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Really good deal in a clean, cute little house with an awesome yard and dog!

    Em2017-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • The room is as shown but it is soooo hot, must not have AC because it was atleast 85-90 degrees all night. Other than that Ruth was very responsive to messages and communication was great. The dog is super adorable and location was nice.

    Britta2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • The bed is nice and the pets are very friendly. Ruth is great with communication and it is close to downtown. However we experienced some issues. Some minor like the TV not working and some a bit more serious like not having a key to lock our door and the house always being left unlocked. A former guest in fact walked in on the poor girl staying across the hall from us. We brought our own sheets and towels, as well as hair dryer and toiletries and the stay honestly would have been fine if the security was improved. There was a pretty loud argument that went down followed by loud music above us until midnight, but it was a Friday night and we were in someone else's home. . just overall didn't feel comfortable and ended up leaving early.

    Robin2018-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • A comfortable place to sleep after busy days exploring the cities. Location was great with France & hey 100 so near in a peaceful neighborhood. Host was gracious and extremely helpful when my granddaughter had a health issue. Can't thank Ruth enough for going above and beyond!

    Susan2017-07-23T00:00:00Z

Set back from the street on an oversized lot, this bright, cozy, and private South Minneapolis home has two bedrooms, a large, four-season sleeping-porch , a huge front yard and offstreet parking for two vehicles, ALL ON ONE LEVEL!!! Good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).
Little House. Big Bang. And not a single stair anywhere... With decor that is light and eclectic, and colors inspired by the city of Mérida, in Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula, this unique home combines local with international, and offers the versatility to suit a wide range of travelers. Whether you are in search of a romantic hideaway in the city, a place close to home (but not too close) to host your visiting in-laws, or just a clean, serene, but not too pricey crash pad for your crew to catch some winks after the big game, this magical structure bends to your will. The bedrooms: A comfy queen bed and night stands in the main bedroom, a full and twin bunk combination in the second bedroom just across the hall. The sunporch: As large as the living room and bathed in constant light, the porch can be closed off for privacy behind curtained French doors. A sleeper sofa and a twin trundle bed (2 twin beds) at opposite ends of the room create intimate seating for reading or chatting and extra beds for larger parties. The living room: Open and airy with plenty of seating and cable tv. El corazón de la casa. The heart of the house. The dining room: Mérida blue with cut outs into the kitchen and living room to let the light and the conversation flow. The kitchen: calabaza and white and fully equipped. Casserole or quesadillas. The world is yours. The bathroom: First World. A mix of vintage and modern. Impeccably clean. Your fantastic voyage begins here: Minnesota meet the world!
  • Thank you Al for a great stay at your house. Your instructions on how to find the house on the side lane were very helpful and we appreciated the roominess of everything. Everyone was able to have their own place in the house and the bin of pillows/blankets/sheets and lots of towels were very helpful! We enjoyed cooking a nice dinner in your well equipped kitchen...everything we needed was there. The spice rack and small stock of sugar and pantry items was nice! The house was conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood...about a 15 minute drive from the airport and 10 minutes from the Mall of America. Thank you for making our stay in Minneapolis a nice one!

  • Great house!! It’s in a convenient location, is cute and comfortable, and highly recommended as a place to stay in the Cities. It was clean and in a nice, residential neighborhood. Hosts are friendly and communicative. It would be a lovely spot to stay if you have kids, too.

  • What a fantastic little hidden getaway. We really loved it. Thank you

    Tim2018-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • The place was beautiful, well-kept, and worked perfectly for us. It was very spacious and we loved the bright colors and the decorative style. Al was flexible with us and let us check in a bit early, and was very communicative throughout the process, which was a huge relief as it was my first time using Airbnb. We highly recommend this home and give kudos to Al for making it a quick, easy process.

Private room in a great central location! Just minutes away from Uptown, Downtown, MSP airport and Mall of America. Nearby local specialty restaurants on foot.
  • André thinks of everything required to be a great host, he even sent a video showing us how to get into the house and checked on us when there was noise from a neighbor in the middle of the night. Highly recommend staying here and getting a bite at the Taco Taxi nearby!

    Tess2017-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • André's place was clean and centrally located. If taking the bus or rail ( there is a #14 bus a block away, 21 a few blocks away, and the light rail is a 10 min walk away). Quiet and clean. Would recommend this place. Thanks

    Beau2017-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Andre is a great guy, very chill, easy to reach. The location is nice and central to a lot of things by car or bus, but not necessarily walking. Your room will be private but just know that you are sharing his place with him, which was fine with me for the great value that is is. You're also sharing with his awesome cat, which is a great bonus

    Kurt2017-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • It was a chill quant spot with good amenities and a nice homelike feel to the place. A good place for most travelers to come!

    Phillip2017-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Andre was very friendly and gave my girlfriend and I plenty of space whenever we were in the apartment together. It is in a very nice, suburban area with access to nice restaurants and a strip very close to the water. For what we paid for 2 nights it was a pleasant stay.

    Max2017-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • A nice little room with a good bed is what you'll get if you're staying at Andre's Place . I actually didn't meet Andre during my stay but he was helpful and seems to be a really nice host ! The neighborhood isn't perfect, a little far from downtown and not a lot of market around but it was fine anyway .

    Olivier2017-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Andre was more attentive than other hosts I've dealt with. Exceptional value and very close to downtown Minneapolis!

Clean, large basement room with private shower (like a suite!) steps away from the U of M/Dinkytown 5 min by bus to downtown. Safe neighborhood with good restaurants, bars, and coffee shops close. 10 min walk to Saint Anthony Falls/Mississippi River
This is a basement room in a lovely, cosy house in a great, safe and central location. It is in the basement and has it's own shower and bathroom so will be like your own little studio seperate from the rest the house. There is huge, comfy Ikea bed in this room that is large enough for 2. Located right in Dinkytown close to Downtown and the U of M. FREE WI FI. Plenty of space. Clean bathroom and kitchen can be used at your disposal. The beautiful Stone Arch Bridge is a 10 minute walk away. you can get a Nice Ride bike and go on a very scenic bike ride with many bike paths in the area. For the size of the room, house and location you will not find a better price in Minneapolis. I will provide fresh bed linens, towels, shampoo, soap, etc. There is free coffee/tea/toast etc in the kitchen. Help yourself!
Safe, urban and vibrant neighborhood in the heart of the city. Great for foodies, plenty of amazing places to eat and supermarkets close by. and downtown and the lightrail (to get to the airport and Mall of America) is less than a 10 min bus ride away.
  • It is pretty quiet and clean! We enjoy it!!

  • The apartment is located in a great area near the bus route, restaurant, bars and coffee shops. The street where the apartment is located is quiet and there wasn't any noise in the evenings. I managed to get a lot of solid rest after being out all day and most of the evening. The apartment (and basement room and bathroom in particular) was clean and well kept. The wifi was fully functional at all times. Sunit was a great host. He ensured that I was able to get into the apartment without any hassles when I arrived around midnight on the first evening. He also checked in the during my stay to confirm that I was satisfied with my stay. I had a really good experience!

Our beautiful basement apartment has a large bedroom, living room, bathroom, laundry facilities, a kitchenette (mini fridge, microwave, toaster & coffee maker) & gorgeous backyard access. Perfect space for couples or solo adventurers. Less than 15-minute drives to downtown Minneapolis, airport, and University of Minnesota.
Separate entrance to private lower level apartment of our home. Although this is a basement, it has egress windows and receives a lot of sunshine! Basic amenities provided: including shampoo, conditioner, soap, hairdryer, dishes, safe tap drinking water, coffee, tea, wine opener, snacks, etc. Great location - walking distance from unique retail, restaurants, bars, and the light rail! Also, free and easy street parking. 1 Queen sized bed and small couch provided.
Powderhorn Park is incredibly vibrant with a diverse set of residents, restaurants, and shops. We are just a couple blocks from Powderhorn Park, a beautiful place for a walk or chance to meet some friendly neighbors. We are also close to Minnehaha Creek, which offers a trail to Minnehaha Falls and the gorgeous lakes of Minneapolis.
  • I would only stay here as a last resort; the price was a bit high for the experience.

  • My favorite airBnB so far! If my travels bring me back to Minneapolis, which I hope they will, I’ll be sure to check Kira’s availability first. The place was clean and there were thoughtful notes placed strategically throughout. I felt well taken care of. The location was great for getting ubers and eating jucy lucys at Matt’s Bar (two block walk). The listing was accurate and let me know exactly what to expect.

    Andrea2017-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed overnight for an early airport flight. Their apartment was easy to find and comfortable. Great for a short stay. Plenty of on-street parking as well.

    Mariah2018-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Kira's basement apartment was comfortable with plenty of space and quaint with homey decor. Although she did make herself readily available to answer any questions we had, she also respected our privacy during the stay. She was sure to inform us on check in and check out procedures prior to our arrival which made going in and out seamless. She also went out of her way as a host to provide breakfast snacks, coffee, tea, orange juice, bathroom toilet trees and a whole binder full of Minneapolis tourism information. The stay was just what we were looking for!

    Lauren2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great value, comfortable bed, loved having a private bathroom. It was just right for our stay.

    Erin2017-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • It was just a short stay for us--late arrival and early departure--but everything was just as described and just what we were looking for. Kira was waiting up for us, and showed us around--had healthy snacks for us + coffee ready to brew for morning. Met John as we were leaving next morning--both Kira and John are great people and wonderful hosts.

  • Heather's apartment was great, it's really easy park there. Heather was really helpful.

    Almudena2017-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was a nice place to stay and was close to many of the things we had planned to do for the weekend. Heather was very quick at replying to my messages and let us check in early since our flight arrived early in the morning. We appreciated the timely communication and the place is very stylish and modern.

    Meghan2018-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Although my interaction with Heather was limited during my stay, she was very responsive and helpful in the beginning when I was trying to figure out how to get into the space. The apartment was clean and spacious, plus being in the basement meant that it stayed cool when I was visiting MN on a weekend where it was 90+ degrees outside! Just note that if you're a light sleeper, be wary that there are other folks who are living in units above you, so you will definitely hear footsteps and voices in the evening. Otherwise, great location and was definitely walking distance to a lot of cool spots in the arts district area.

    Andy2018-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Nice space. Plenty of room. Easy to get to. Quite loction. Excellent response from landlord.

Beautiful, sunny second level of a historic corner store house in the heart of the NE Minneapolis Arts District. Walk to the best cafes, taprooms and restaurants in town, enjoy a full kitchen and comfortable bed, and have locally roasted coffee on the private deck. Near downtown. Private, secure, quiet, great for families or business travelers! Come enjoy everything this great neighborhood has to offer. Check out the 1st floor apartment here: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/16704400?preview
Welcome to Northeast Minneapolis! You'll be staying in your own private apartment -- the entire second level of what used to be a corner grocery store. Built in 1902, the space is unique, comfortable, and filled with thoughtful touches, yet retains its historic and charming character. Located near downtown, the U of M, and the Mississippi river. Enjoy the spacious, open layout, take advantage of the beautiful private backyard, and explore the neighborhood! Upon arrival, you can let yourself in with the keypad lock -- we'll provide the code when you book. Head up the stairs, and you'll be right inside the open and light-filled living room, where there's a large sofa, chaise lounge, and our handmade coffee/end tables. In the adjoining den, there is a desk, a sofa, and a flat screen TV with cable, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. The bedroom is small but cozy, with plenty of room to hang up your clothes, and a super comfortable queen-sized memory-foam mattress with lots of pillows and a down comforter. There are bedside tables with lamps and outlets for your phones. In the mornings, brew some locally roasted coffee beans or tea (we provide both) in the sunny kitchen, which has everything you need to cook up a storm -- convection oven and gas range, large fridge, pots/pans/utensils/dishes, dishwasher, electric kettle, toaster, plenty of counter space, good knives, and a concrete rolling island. Have breakfast outside on the deck among the treetops overlooking the large, wildflower-filled private backyard, where, later in the day, you might decide to have a barbecue, or to sit around the fire pit on a starry night with a drink. The apartment will sleep five people, but is most comfortable with two or three. In addition to the main bed, we provide an 18" high, auto-inflate air mattress with its own linens and comforter, which is comfortable and sleeps two people. There is a very comfortable sofa, too. Your host, Pete, lives on the property, and is typically close by whenever you might need anything! I'm always happy to meet and spend time giving you a tour, or recommendations.
When you venture out, you will find yourself in the heart of the Northeast Arts District -- a safe, charming residential neighborhood that is within 1-2 miles of coffee shops, grocery stores, restaurants, and all manner of excellent restaurants, bars, and attractions, in addition to incredible local breweries, hundreds of artist studios, and more. Our street is a designated bikeway, among many others that cover the entire city. Minneapolis is one of the best biking cities in the country, and we provide maps and route advice to get you just about anywhere. We are close to the center of downtown, the famous chain of lakes, Target Field, US Bank Stadium, The Guthrie, and the riverfront. The largest art crawl/festival in the nation, Art-a-Whirl, takes place directly in our neighborhood every May.
  • Peter and Kathryn were great communicators during the duration of our visit. Due to our busy schedules we were unable to meet but they were responsive to any questions we had. The neighborhood was quiet but, central allowing us to see the river, shops and great restaurants Minneapolis has to offer. I enjoyed early morning yoga on their deck and delicious local coffee provided. Their interior was beautifully decorated and comfortable. I would highly recommend their airbnb to families, couples or a group of friends.

  • We LOVED staying here! Very nice location! The place itself is so beautiful and functional. The kitchen is perfect! The flat has so much natural light! We slept so well and so enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back! Peter and Kathryn were wonderful hosts and were incredibly helpful with any questions I had for them. It is always nice that there is parking available, especially in the city. Quiet street, beautiful set up!

    Elizabeth2015-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Peter and Kathryn's place was exactly what we were looking for. It clean, beautifully furnished, and located in a great part of NE Minneapolis that happened to be close to everything that we wanted to do. The back deck was perfect for enjoying a nice beverage and enjoying time with friends. Peter went out of his way to make sure that we had everything we needed during our stay and I enjoyed talking with him during our short conversations.

    Alex2015-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • My daughter and I loved Kathryn and Peter's place! Comfy bed, light and bright, and a really nice location! Good communication too ! We'd stay there again. Kathy Smith Chicago, Illinois

  • The apt, location, and hosts were all fabulous. The apt so nicely decorated and I love the story behind it. (Ask the hosts!) It's definitely a quiet neighborhood area but there are lots of little neighborhood bars and restaurants that are easy to walk to - and you're super close to Dangerous Man Brewing and Tattersall Distillery is a fairly walk-able, too. Peter was great about giving us restaurant suggestions and checking in to ensure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed meeting Peter and Kathryn and appreciate their flexibility when we last minute decided to stay another night :)

This historic South Minneapolis home was built in 1910 just before the Craftsman boom of the 20s. Original maple floors, mahogany staircase winding to the 2nd floor bedrooms and bath, cozy mint sun porch, and sprawling deck and backyard.
No pets have lived in this house but some pets are welcome!
  • Al's home is a really beautiful space. It is decorated with style and in a really nice neighborhood in Minneapolis. If you are going to stay, I recommend staying a few days at least. The backyard is gorgeous and the home is warm and cozy. I say this because my wife and I wished we had more time to lounge around the space and enjoy it. During our stay, however, we were on the run. Our only complaint was that we arrived late to the home on a very, very hot and humid night to find the home completely sealed and REALLY hot. The home is older and I had issues with the air conditioning device. When I mentioned the issue to Al the next day, he sent someone over to brind a fan and get the air running. If you are staying in the warn season, I recommend checking in right away and getting the air running.

  • Al's place is nice and clean, and the neighbourhood is OK and feels safe. Recommendable!

  • This was our second stay in The Cottage Life home. The property is exceptionally clean, comfortable, and located in a quiet residential neighborhood. The backyard has a spacious deck. We highly recommend Al's airbnb properties in Minneapolis (Website hidden by Airbnb)

  • We had an excellent time when we stayed here. It is in a nice, quiet neighborhood, the house is clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect to get anywhere you'd want to drive to in the Twin Cities in a short amount of time. We hope to stay here again in the future!

    Marit2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Good value for your money and in a convenient location. Easy check-in and checkout. One bus to downtown, short drive to the airport and Mall of America. Thanks Al!

This summer, we're opening up an airbnb room in our quirky, artistic home! Sweet cozy 2nd Floor bedroom overlooks verdant backyard. Queen size bed, desk, comfortable chair. We live right next to the Midtown Greenway, a walking and biking path leading to downtown, the lakes , Mississippi River and parks. We are happy to lend you a bicycle, helmet, and lock. We are a house with pets—two very friendly dogs and a cat—so it's important you feel comfortable with animals if you book with us.
Our home is a great place to relax and recharge. Our resident house members are artists, Kara (mosaic artist, terrible violin player, avid gardener, dog sitter/walker, Lyft driver), Shante' (poet, philosopher, ecologist, clown) and Olie (artist, writer, cheese monger, butcher), as well as the occasional long term guest. We are friendly introverted folks who spend our home time making art and recharging their batteries by reading, gardening, playing music and cooking. We share our home with Ariel the cat and two dogs, Hamlet and Odin.
The Phillips Neighborhood is an inner city neighborhood and even though are neighbors are wonderful, we do have difficulty with crime being brought into our neighborhood in the form of drugs and prostitution. It is very important to trust your impressions while visiting our neighborhood, especially in the late night hours. Many of our guests choose to use Lyft or Uber when they are out in the evening past sundown. Our neighborhood is diverse, with many wonderful Hispanic and Somali restaurants nearby. We are less than ten minutes walk away from the Global Market, a vibrant reflection of our community with a variety of ethnic shops and restaurants. The beautiful Powderhorn Park is a ten minute walk from our house and we live right down the street from the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Masque Theatre, which every year holds a huge Mayday parade that travels down Bloomington Avenue to the park.
  • Even though Minneapolis was WAY hotter than I expected it to be, my room was very nice and comfortable thanks to the window AC and the fan that was thoughtfully provided in the room.

  • Lowd lowd dog very small room

    Carl2018-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I stayed here on our way back from Boundary Waters and Kara was a WONDERFUL host! The room was clean, the pets sweet and cuddly, and having a safe place to park ourselves/vehicle was so nice! We will definitely be back if we come through town again! I would definitely recommend staying here for the night- great price to match a wonderful room!

    Beth2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • The place is really close to major bus rout, and 1 bus from the light rail. It also has a bike trail right in the back yard which also goes to the rail. If your destination is in downtown, it is a 10 minute bus ride, or a 6 minute drive!

    Oliver2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Kara was a wonderful host. The house was just what I needed. I would highly recommend her.

    Clay2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really cool place to stay if you wanna be closer to the city without spending a fortune. It's very bohemian and quiet. The greenway is literally out the back door. The house is accurately described as having pets. The small dog is a bit noisy until you get acclimated, but the cats are ninjas and tend to stay hidden. My sleeping situation was a bit utilitarian. Overall, the price point matches the living situation.

    Henry2017-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Very welcoming and I loved their fur babies 😊

    Cathy2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Kara and Oli are wonderful hosts who are knowledgeable about the wonderful things Minneapolis and St. Paul have to offer. They (and their cat and dog) are gracious hosts. If you'd like to bike commute during your stay, they have those to lend you. Lyfts to downtown are inexpensive, and the public transit is even cheaper (though it's pretty off schedule). If you enjoy cooking for yourself, there's a mini-fridge to store some items, and you can use the kitchen. The garden in the back is enchanting, and you're welcome to pick some blackberries and raspberries. The bed was very comfortable. Having the A/C unit in the window was great for the summer evenings. The closet was roomy, and there was a power strip in the room which was great for charging all the devices I brought for my conference. One of my favorite parts of the stay was that we all went to Lake Harriet park together to walk Hamlet. It was a fun and beautiful excursion. The neighborhood around the house has interesting attractions as well. The Midtown Global Market houses a variety of restaurants and shops with food and imports from various countries as well as a small stage area of live music. There are also Mexican and Somali restaurants nearby. I'm glad I chose them for my stay, and I know you'll be glad too.

  • Wonderful, lovely stay at Jon and Bliss's retreat. I came in later and left early, and the basement room next to the laundry room was just perfect for a quiet space to unwind and prepare for my time in Minneapolis. Bliss and Jon offer a very clean, hospitable room. I appreciated the self-check in, access to the laundry room (and complimentary soap!), and lots of space. Yes, and the bonus offering of homemade products was wonderful, as well as local history of the historic home. Would definitely book again! Thank you!

  • Once I was settled in, I noticed my host was looking through my window from the outside of their home. Then shortly after was reminded that there's no smoking in the house. With me having no intentions on smoking I was very offended about the accusation and the disturbance of my privacy.

  • Perfect for what I needed for a place to stay for a night. Clean room and bathroom.

    Dominique2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • I wasn't there for long, we flew in late, and arrived at around 8:30pm and Sam had no issues with that. He was quick to respond via text when I texted him. We did not hang out at the home for long, but the house was very clean!! There was a lot of space, and my favorite place was the bathroom. I loved the sink and how it was set up. The mason jar light fixture above the sink, made me want to go home and diy! He also had beautiful fresh flowers in these large black beer cans that looked beautiful in the home! It's a fancy rustic look, and I like that! Overall, for the 8 hours, that we spent there it was great! And there was parking.

This is a private bedroom and bathroom on the main floor of our bungalow in a quiet neighborhood minutes from downtown Minneapolis. Located .75 miles from the light rail (with easy access to the airport, Mall of America, US Bank Stadium, HealthPartners, HCMC, downtown Minneapolis, and the Univ. of MN). 1 mile from walking/bike paths along the scenic Mississippi River, and several great restaurant options in the immediate area.
This is a private one bedroom and private one bathroom rental on the main floor of the house, with use of a shared living space (including TV with Netflix) and kitchen. The bedroom has a queen bed, desk, bookcase full of books and a closet with hangers. There is a bathtub/shower in the bathroom. The owners sleep upstairs. The space is comfortable and cozy, with many houseplants (and in the summer a huge garden outside), and home to two personable cats. Our cat Pepper particularly loves to meet and get to know guests.
Longfellow is a quiet and safe neighborhood in South Minneapolis. There is an ever-growing number of good restaurants in the area (Birchwood Cafe, Sonora, Hi-Lo Diner, Merlin's Rest Pub, Town Talk, Cafe Racer Kitchen, several coffee shops, etc.), and great bike trails that run throughout the city. The Mississippi River is less than a mile away and great for biking/running/walking/birding.
  • Annie and Scott were very welcoming. We were able to park right outside the house on the street. Easy coming and going to get anywhere in the metro area. Bed was comfy, and kitties were friendly. We didn't take advantage of cooking some eggs as it was a busy weekend for us, but Annie was sure to let us know we could, and there was also coffee. We slept so well; we'd definitely stay here again.

    KeriAnn2018-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • We were indeed fortunate to find this great place to stay! Annie & Scott were super friendly and we enjoyed talking with them very much. They also gave us our own "space" if we had chosen to take it. The fact that we had our own bathroom as well as food available for breakfast was a lovely bonus to our way of thinking! Their kitties, who only appeared when we asked to meet them, were super sweet! A truly great experience.

  • Great host....Great place....Perfect location....close to everything that matters! Less than 5minutes walk to a church nearby. Beautiful plants and flowers adorns the apartment. Quiet place to pray and study. Annie & Scott are really nice. They helped to transport our many luggage. God bless you guyz! We would love to visit again!!!

    Naomi “Omi”2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Both Annie and her husband Scott were very welcoming and accommodating. They provided everything I needed at check-in (house-key, wifi, towels, etc.) and also provided a list of excellent nearby restaurants. The room and bathroom for my use were very neat and clean, and the location was a very easy drive to where I was going all weekend. There was also a very good coffee shop called Peace Coffee just a few minutes away. I would definitely stay here again!

Beautifully remodeled Victorian on the Mississippi River in NE Mpls Arts/Brew District. Glass solarium with river views and majestic trees and a large yard. Open layout, pocket doors, leaded glass and inlaid floors. One of 8 homes in the Mpls on the river. Steps to a coffeeshop and several restaurants. Close to brewpubs, artist studios, secret speakeasy, Ferris wheel restaurant, patio restaurants on the river, vegan ice cream, hipster Vietnamese cocktail restaurant. 10-min Lyft Uber to downtown.
One of a kind 1880's Victorian duplex with a modern addition, modern kitchen, and three modular bedrooms. The solarium has floor to ceiling windows to view the Mississippi and a beautiful yard with majestic trees and stairway leading to the river. Enjoy the river in spring, summer or fall, or gather around a wood burning fireplace and take in winter views of the river. Note: this is "country in the city"- there are many trees and the river, but there is also a metal recycling business across the river which can be heard in our yard. Inside the house this is barely noticeable. Please let us know if you would like to book an event over 7 guests as we charge extra for events and gatherings.
Minneapolis recently gained national recognition for its famous arts district in North East. We live in the heart of that district. We are just 10 minute drive to downtown, or 20 minutes along the river bike path. Downtown: Visit the famous Walker Art Center, Guthrie Theater, First Avenue music club, The Twins, Vikings and Timberwolves stadiums, Children's Theater, Children's Science Museum st paul, Children's History Museum. We've had several guests who've visited Prince's Paisley Park in Shakopee and First Avenue where Purple Rain was filmed. Local parks, bike paths and playgrounds. Light rail or taxi to the airport or Mall of America. The U of M is 10 minutes by car. Our local neighborhood is growing fast. Several new award winning restaurants opened within our neighborhood recently including Young Joni, Hai Hai, and The Draft Horse. Dine on the new ferris wheel at Betty Danger's overlooking the Lowry bridge, just 3 blocks from our door, or check out Pyscho Suzi's tiki deck overlooking the river 2 blocks south. The Sample Room restaurant is literally two doors away. Mojo Coffee/breakfast/lunch is a couple block stroll. There are also several Brew Pubs in the neighborhood with original local brews.
  • A unique, comfortable and charming house right on the water!

  • Had an absolutely amazing time at their house on the river. Isabelle and Phillip were both very accommodating and kind. So grateful for their hospitality and to stay in such a beautiful space.

    Tess2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our time at Isabelle and Philip's home. The house is cozy and the fireplace was a wonderful bonus during our winter stay. Great hosts and a great space. Highly recommended.

    Emilie2016-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • I truly want to thank Isabelle and Philip for opening their home to me and other travelers. This space is a memorable one for me, and every last detail is considered down to the games they have set out for you to play. They accommodated my extra time request and they even lit a cozy fire for me when I left for dinner, it was such a warm and inviting little surprise when I came back! If I come back in town I would love to stay again!

    Juliana2017-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Came into town for a few days for work. My colleague and I shared this apartment and it was absolutely perfect. Close to downtown, great views of the river and within walking distance to a few cool restaurants and bars. The fireplace was great. Would love to stay here again given the chance.

    Andrew2017-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • What is not to love about this wonderful home! We had the best time. Larger than it looks, cozier than it seems. Area for our son to have adventures overlooking the Mississippi. Our hosts were both sweet and helpful and Isabelle even lent a ukulele to our son during our stay. We are very fortunate to have been able to stay here as this place, for good reason, is booked often. Thank you for an amazing experience.

    David2015-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location for easy access to downtown, local bars, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Very well-equipped for coooking/hosting small gathering with friends. Everything in kitchen, bathroom, and common areas were clean, functioning, and thought out very well. Owners are very responsive to requests, strong communicators, and provide clear instructions for entire place. A lot of entertainment such as board games, books, art work, grill, proper kitchen appliances for cooking, etc. Overall an excellent experience and would recommend this place and these owners to friends and family.

Our second-floor, 1200 sq. ft. apartment offers a little oasis in the city center for up to four guest with two queen beds. Our place has an easy access to the airport and downtown via the blue line metro, and the Convention Center, University of Minnesota, and Viking Stadium by walking, biking, or by bus.
Our space is a second-story apartment in a turn-of-the-century triplex. The unit has two bedrooms each with a queen bed, closet, desk and dresser. One of the bedrooms has access to a private, second-story porch with good tree cover. The space has single full bathroom with a claw-foot tub. There is a full kitchen with fridge, stove, and microwave for guest use. In the summer, our home has AC units in the bedrooms. In the winter, the house is radiator-heated, and we are glad to provide a heating blanket to those who would like one. There is free parking for guests on the street; we recommend parking in front of the house if there is space or along the side of the house.
There is plenty to do in the Minneapolis metro area, and our place is less than a mile from the heart of Downtown East, including the Viking's Stadium, Gold Medal Park, and the Guthrie Theatre. We are just over a mile from the Minneapolis Convention Center and favorites such as Global Market and the Midtown Greenway. Lake Calhoun, Lake of the Isles, Lake Harriet, and Minnehaha Falls are just 2.5 miles away to the southwest and southeast of us. If you are coming to the cities for a gastronomic adventure, Hell's Kitchen, Matt's Bar (for the Juicy Lucy burger) or Fogo de Chao for a fancy dinner are just a short drive away. A note about our urban, ethnic neighborhood: we do live in the city center which means that our neighborhood is busy and very varied; our home is near bus lines, public spaces like parks, coffee shops, non-profit offices, other large old Victorian homes, government buildings, apartment complexes, health clinics, and the many different types of people traveling through the neighborhood on a daily basis. Urban city life is densely populated, so you will want to exercise city-smarts and common sense when traveling out late at night from our place. If that makes you uncomfortable, you might prefer to stay in one of the quieter neighborhoods outside the city center like Powderhorn, Seward, Roseville, St. Louis Park, Plymouth, or Longfellow. We, however, love the energy of the city of Minneapolis. There is something special about catching a glimpse of the city's skyline from our front porch. One of our favorite parts of living in Minneapolis's city center in the Ventura Village neighborhood is the fact that we enjoy a huge diversity of neighbors from all parts of the world and with it the customs, the dress, the food, and vivacity that they all bring to Minneapolis.
  • Zack and Betsy were great hosts. They were very friendly and their home was very comfortable. The guest room was very simple with a very comfortable bed. I am glad that there was a window air conditioning unit as it was just a little warm when I was visiting. Zack give me some good suggestions on where to go eat and relax. Their home is located just about 20 minutes away from the airport which was great for me as I had an early flight. Thanks again Zack and Betsy for a great stay in Minneapolis. Gregg

  • Zach and Betsy are great hosts! The made me feel like I was at a home away from home. We had very nice conversation and they graciously accommodated my late arrival. The space was comfortable, warm and clean. I had three restful nights! They provided a niceride (local bikeshare) tag for my use which allowed me to bike to and from my event during my stay.

    Greg2016-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay. Place is lovely, clean and welcoming. Key hand-off was smooth and straightforward even though Zach and Betsy were away for the night. Close to Franklin bus line. Recommended.

  • My stay was quick, easy and nice. Zach and Betsy responded quick to my last minute request, and by last minute, I mean super last minute. The apartment was very cute, the pictures online don't do it as much justice as they should. Zach and Betsy were not home for my stay but I met their neighbor dan who made sure I had anything I needed. Instructions for arrival were easy breazy. Nice little spread of simple breakfast items.

    Kevin2014-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • We felt welcome, hosts were helpful.

    Trang2015-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Zach and Betsy were great hosts, very friendly and welcoming. I only booked the room at the last minute but that wasn't a problem for them. I arrived by transit from the airport and Betsy gave me very clear directions how to get there - about a 15 minute walk from the metro stop. The house is in a quiet neighbourhood with easy access to Downtown. I used the Nice Ride bike share system to get around the city which was great. The room is at the back of the house and guests have exclusive use of a bathroom adjacent to it. The only negative thing I can say is that the breakfast was a little basic and bit more choice would have been nice. Apart from that the stay was very good. This was my first Airbnd experience and I enjoyed it very much. It was good to get an understanding of the city from some friendly local people.

Inspired by John Bradstreet- please look him up! This arts & crafts style bedroom with private bath is one of a kind! The main mansion encompasses thousands of square feet of common area including a formal dining room, grand drawing room, and library, all of which we encourage our guests to enjoy. The estate also houses an original carriage house, porches around the house, and three unique gardens.
By far the best neighborhood in Minneapolis. Loring Park neighborhood. The center of the city. Walk everywhere.
  • Amazing place, it really is a mansion and is beutiful and spacious. Plus coffee and continental breakfast makes it my favorite spot.

  • Great place to stay in Minneapolis. I had one of the rooms with a private bath and a four poster bed. I was super comfortable. The hosts are engaging and helpful (the right amount). The place is beautiful, cozy and quiet. It's an easy walk to downtown or the Walker, expensive restaurants and a collection of moderate restaurants. This my second visit and I highly recommend.

  • Aj is a fantastic host, and my stay was absolutely wonderful! I was running late, and he waited, no problem. This house and its history is absolutely amazing, and it is spotless throughout. Aj will see you around, but also let you wander about, which there is lots to see! Great reading materials, a continental breakfast at a table for 14! A pinball machine... Madonna the Great Dane is just a sweetheart. Private bathroom in each bedroom; Mine had a pre-heated floor and huge tile shower. The bed was the most comfortable ever, and Aj provides a well-stocked snack basket and water. I hope I can return someday!

$15 pet fee (per pet) for animals. Fee covers the entire duration of your stay! Completely updated kitchen and new bathroom and shower area. Brand new king bed and 60" tv. We have fiber optic internet that goes up to 100 mbps. The sofa does not pull out and can sleep one guest comfortably. Please let us know if you would like an extra set of sheets and comforter for the sofa when you book. Extra charges for laundry may apply. There are tenants upstairs so if you hear footsteps, just know that people live up there but are respectful of that. We have a fireplace in the unit as you see in photos but it is not in working order and has been sealed.
This is very vibrant and fun part of town. Uptown is generally the place where all the locals in Minneapolis like to visit or live by. There are so many great restaurants, bars and lakes near by that make uptown such a great neighborhood. The best part is that you can walk everywhere! CHECK OUT my guidebook for all our recommendations of where to eat and visit when your in town! Here are a couple below. Lake Calhoun, Lake of the Isles & Lake Harriet These are the lakes that make Minneapolis and especially Uptown great. They are a short walk (3-5 min depending on the lake) from my location. They are all in a row, so you can walk around one after the other if you are so inclined. 2 of the 3 feature fun restaurants on the lake. Stella's Fish Cafe - Fun rooftop deck that will allow you to see the Minneapolis skyline. Mostly serving seafood. It's only a 2-3 min walk from my place. Most dishes are between $15-$30 Bar Louie - The closest restaurant to my place and is the newest spot in Uptown. Mostly American fare, but very good at the $10-$20 meal price. It's very trendy, hip and fun. They have a very large outdoor patio that makes it fun when the weather is nice. They also have plenty of outdoor heaters when its cold! This place is a great spot to grab drinks and watch a game and also to go out on the weekends! Very young at night and it's the place to go and be seen in Uptown. Chino Latino - GREAT place to go any celebrate any special occasion. Very unique interior and offers a very unique Asian Infused menu. Highly recommend. Meals are around $15-$25. If you are going for a birthday, call in advance and they will put the name of the birthday guest on the menu for you! Birch Steak House - If you are looking for a great 4-5 star restaurant, look no further than to the newest steak house in Minneapolis. This place is VERY popular, so make sure to make a reservation if you are planning on going. They have an awesome menu that would compete with any of the larger steakhouses. If steak isn't your thing, check out their basement where they serve Margarita Pizzas. It's also a great place to get a drink and check out the cool decor. Prices are around $20-$50 for Birch. It is about a 10 min walk from my place. Calhoun Square - If you are looking todo any shopping while in Minneapolis, this is a great spot to start. There are a fair amount of stores and within the block radius of this place there are NUMEROUS other ones including American Outfitters, Apple, Victoria Secret, American Apparel, REI, Heartbreakers, H&M to name a few. There are also tons of other small shops that are local to check out.
  • The apartment is exactly as shown, clean and cute and comfortable. Arrival and departure were smooth and Luke & Katie were easy to communicate with.

    Rebecca2016-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful place to stay! Luke and Katie were very prompt and responsive with communication and and did their best to make sure we had everything we needed to make it a wonderful stay. They provide recommendations for local restaurants as well as many amenities in the home if you don't feel like going out. The price was better than anything we would have gotten from a hotel with twice the amenities than we would have had access to! I would highly recommend this as a place to stay.

    Denver2017-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay here. Looks just like the pictures. I've never been to Minneapolis and it was suggest I stay in this part of town. It was a great suggestion and Luke & Katie's place is a great location.

    Justin2017-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, great home.

    Sarah2016-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Katie and Luke's home was wonderful! The space is very cozy and makes it truly feel like your own place once you ger settled. The Uptown location of the home was ideal for my girlfriend and I as we were able to walk around most locations without any issue and finding parking was rarely ever a problem. Personally, as my first Airbnb experience, I could not be more thrilled that it came from such great, attentive hosts who clearly directed us on how to get in and out of their home. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Come stay in our beautiful, newly remodeled private room. We are a musical, artistic couple who love to cook and hang with our tiny dog Petey. Our home is a 2-block walk to beautiful Lake Nokomis, and minutes from the beach. Also nearby are the famed bike trails of Minneapolis. We are a short 5 min drive to The Mall of America, IKEA and the airport. You’ll love our place because of the location, the coziness and the decor. Our home is great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
You have access to a private upstairs bedroom with a TV. You have your own bathroom in the basement which is two floors below. Access to toilet, shower and bathroom amenities. You may also use our backyard and washer/dryer. If you would like to use the kitchen to prepare a meal please let us know.
5 minutes from the airport. Close to the Mall of America and IKEA. Blocks from Lake Nokomis and Hiawatha Lake. A short walk or bike ride to Minnehaha falls. Easy 10 min drive into Uptown.
  • This olace is absolutely amazing. Not only is it super stylish and cozy but the personal touches that Hannah adds totally puts this place over the top. I absolutley loved it and would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

    Brittany2017-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was a very accommodating place. The bed was extremely comfy. May have been the best sleep I during my trip to the area. I would recommend staying at Hannah and Josh's home to everybody.

    Lloyd2017-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay. The room was spacious, the bed comfy, the neighborhood safe. Check in was smooth and easy. Lake Nokomis just blocks away for a beautiful walk was great. Having Petey the dog keep me company one evening was an added bonus for me.

  • Queen bed was very comfy, more than other places Ive stayed. Got the whole loft area to relax. Very big. House is very clean.

    Jamie2017-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Hannah and Josh's home is lovely and very close to the airport. It's easy to walk to Lake Nokomis and a short car ride to the Minnehaha Falls. The pictures are very accurate and everything was very clean. I felt right at home in the upper bedroom - loved the privacy of it. I will definitely book again if I'm in Minneapolis.

    Jenny2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • This was a very quick overnight for us since we came in late and had an early morning flight. It is super close to the airport, which was exactly what we needed. However, we love this neighborhood, and Hannah, Josh and Petey are great hosts.

    Dawn2017-09-26T00:00:00Z

Cozy 6' x 12' bohemian caravan hideaway sleeps 2 in lush and eclectic backyard of fantastic old S. Minneapolis home. Indoor bathroom available inside main home. Wagon has electricity and fan/heater for seasons.
Great spot to crash when you don't need much or are spending your time out and about. Surprisingly quiet. Private backyard nice combo of untamed and tended. Weber grill in yard. Amiable host lives on site.
It's South Minneapolis: Arty, diverse, and beautiful. Near to Powderhorn Park, lakes, restaurants. I've been here for 18 years.
  • Mike was a fun host. He greeted and welcomed us to his home which was very unique and wonderful. The garden setting for the Gypsy wagon was charming, so many whimsical touches and colorful flowers. The wagon itself was amazing, with charming details everywhere. It was compact, yet space for everything. The bed was very comfortable. The location was nice also, close to everything. We had a great time.

    Christina2015-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time using Air Bnb and I loved it! Mike was a super friendly host, and the Gypsy Caravan was so adorable. When I arrived Mike gave me the tour, left me a bowl of cherries and was great to chat with. Highly recommend this location!

    Elise2014-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing visit! Mike is a gracious host who will make you laugh and give you great suggestions for what to do around town. My partner and I felt very at home in the wagon and enjoyed our stay immensely. It is tucked back in a beautiful garden, bird songs greet you in the morning, and if you bring your bicycle you can hop on the Greenway near Mike's house and get to anywhere in the city. Awesome host, great location, and the wagon is a super cozy home away from home. We'll be visiting again!

    Liz2015-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Mike is a great host, 10 out of 10 would stay again! The wagon is probably one of the most unique places I've ever stayed. If you want a great host and an authentic experience, definitely stay here.

    Ben2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Mike was a wonderful host. Very funny and great to talk to. My phone was having major issues with reception due to my regional carrier but he was still very easy to get a hold of. His house is so much fun and interesting. The backyard was perfect with the wagon surrounded by flowers and plants. There is a sitting area and lanterns hanging in the trees. The wagon itself is incredible. Great choice of decor and books. He had a mason jar of water and some fruit and bread. The bathrooms in the house were very clean and had everything I needed. For all of those that cannot sleep without a fan such as myself, there is one in the wagon so no worries! Had a great, easy going stay at the Gypsy wagon. It was a great experience!

    Meghan2015-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Mike's gypsy wagon was amazing! Completely unique and cozy. I stayed with a friend and we had enough room for ourselves and belongings. The wagon was warm and well lit at night. Mike's collection of books in the wagon kept us entertained late at night, learning how to read palms. Mike made us feel comfortable using the washrooms inside the house, and we loved his use of organic and natural products. We had a great time and highly recommend Mike's place. The yard is great, and his place is close to shopping places and downtown. Very easy to find!

    Chloe2015-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Mike was a great host! I decided not to stay as I was moving across the country with all of my belongings in my truck. I was afraid to leave it parked on the street because anyone could easily get into the bed of the truck. But Mike was very accommodating and even offered to help unload my belongings into the house. I checked out the gypsy wagon before I left and wish I could've stayed but decided to stay elsewhere. Next time I'm ever driving through Minneapolis I'll definitely be contacting Mike again.

    Deirdre2014-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Soooo good to be back at the vardo w/ the kindest host you could ever possibly meet! Thank you, again, Mike. I so much appreciated our time and conversation together. Please give Emma my regards.

Welcome to our home! We look forward to sharing our private bedroom and bathroom - the perfect place to relax. We're close to great restaurants, transit, and an awesome park, and love giving recommendations for exploring Minneapolis.
We have a private bedroom and bathroom in the lower level of our home - it's nice and cool in the summers, and the heated floors keep it cozy in the winters. Make yourself at home, and enjoy our shared living room, dining room, kitchen, and backyard oasis.
We love our Powderhorn Park neighborhood! It is vibrant, diverse, and very friendly. We're happy to point you in the direction of some of our favorite restaurants, cafes, shops, or scenic walks.
  • We LOVED staying in Dexter and Bailey’s house! Oh, the humans were nice too. SUPER location, we walked to Matt’s Bar for a great dive diner dinner and took a lyft to ie Italian eatery which was wonderful. Gonna check out the waterfall next time! Gorgeous space, LOVED hanging out on the back patio too!

  • This is a wonderful property with great hosts. I'm glad to have been able to stay there.

  • Great room from great people. Room was cozy, bed comfortable, bathroom nice.

    Ron 2018-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Courtney's place is an amazing value! The room is private and resides in a finished basement. It is spacious, bright, and has a desk for when you need to be productive. The bed is on the firmer-side (which I love) with ample blankets to cozy up on cold Minnesota days. There is a beautiful bathroom with a large shower supplied with the basic toiletries. Bonus: they provide a french press and freshly ground coffee in the room for those who need a jump-start. Courtney and her husband were super friendly and made the check-in/out process seamless. She provided us with great local tips about where to eat, such as the Midtown Global MarketPlus, and what to do. Their home is in a good location with delicious restaurants/bars just a short drive away. These hosts truly exemplify "Minnesota Nice"!!

    Rachel2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Sam and Courtney are wonderful hosts. I cannot thank them enough for welcoming me to the city and providing a truly delightful place to spend two nights. You will not find a finer place to stay, and I highly recommend their place to any visitor or traveler. You will not regret it. Thanks Sam and Courtney!

Travel together, and have your privacy. Three total upstairs bedrooms. Two beautiful bedrooms with Queen sized memory foam mattresses and one bedroom with comfortable full bed conveniently situated in Lyndale neighborhood. Private slate bathroom with shower and tub. Close to downtown, Convention Center. On bus line and 24/7 free street parking. Walk to great restaurants. To reserve two rooms, please indicate either 3 or 4 guests. To reserve three bedrooms, please indicate either 5 or 6 guests.
Enjoy a rare authentic brownstone in Minneapolis. One of very few that exists in the city, this was designed and built in 1897 and completely restored into a modern living space. Enjoy exposed brick walls, original staircases, yet all the modern conveniences. There are three upstairs bedrooms available, with a shared full bath. To use the second bedroom, even if there are only two people staying, please make the reservation for three people. This ensures access to the second bedroom. To reserve all three rooms, please book for at least 5 people. The main floor is used as a quiet office from 9 am to 5 pm.
The neighborhood is culturally diverse. You can walk two or three blocks to trendy eateries, or a mile or two to a very happening uptown district. It's close to downtown, UBER will probably be about $10 to downtown and $5 to uptown. The front bedrooms have view of downtown Minneapolis. There is a small convenience store across the street, gas station a couple blocks down Nicollet Avenue. Parking is on the street, and generally available.
  • This was a lovely place to stay for a night! Although we didn't meet our hostess she was very attentive. The bed was comfortable enough, very clean and complimentary juice and chocolate provided. We enjoyed watching old game shows on late night TV! There were a couple of negatives though-- it was super hot! And no fan was to be found. We tried to adjust the thermostat but it didn't seem affected. Also, it felt like a pretty safe neighborhood but from about 1-3am, a group of very loud young adults seemed to be partying on the front yard. And it didn't seem harmless, it was menacing. We were a concerned they might try to break in. Eventually the police chased them away. All in all, we would recommend- great price for a great place, but next time we will probably stay somewhere else.

    Brandon2016-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • The room was very comfortable and clean. Location was great, a few great places to eat a short walk away. Janet was a great responsive host!

    Justin2016-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was a lovely little space, with a small sitting room and kitchen on the main level and sleeping areas and bathroom upstairs. Street parking was usually available nearby. Some guests may prefer to have everything all on one level as far as sitting area and bedrooms, but it was fine for our purposes this trip.

    D2015-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Janet's place is a warm and comfortable stay, walking distance to a few great restaurants and bars. She gave me and excellent coffee shop recommendation- Spyhouse, she even let me store my luggage after checkout while I waited for my afternoon flight!

    Kathryn2017-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was Thanksgiving weekend, so no one was around the rooms or downstairs business. We never met Janet in person but she responded to email questions almost immediately. The privacy and accommodations were perfect for our family as we gathered to meet our new addition who was born in Mpls just 10 days earlier. It is noisy in front, but my sound machine app was enough to drown it out. It's a neighborhood we know well (4 minutes from our son) and her recommendations for dining and activities are spot-on. We will stay there again if our son's house is not going to work out and will suggest it to friends and family traveling to the Twin Cities.

    Vicky2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Janet's place was great - just as described. Janet is a wonderful host - very responsive, friendly, and helpful.

    Phillip2016-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Just an absolutely fabulous place! Everything was just as described. There were snacks and beverages awaiting us. The bedrooms were comfortable. The house is located in a great neighborhood that is very walkable. Janet had suggestions for restaurants and Pat's Tap was a winner! I highly recommend this location and when we are back in Minneapolis, we will cross our fingers that this wonderful brownstone is available! Thanks, Janet!

  • We arrived to 300 Clifton late in the evening in middle of an unexpected April blizzard with our 5 month old baby. We had booked in a hurry and went for the stay with the best price. When we arrived we couldn't believe it! The house was enormous and ancient but was renovated so perfectly that it looked as if we had time traveled save for all the modern conveniences (like a space-age shower!) . AJ greeted us with so much warmth and helped us carry on luggage which was so thoughtful especially since the baby is a handful. He gave us a tour of the house and we were encouraged to explore. For the rest of our 3 day stay being at home was just as fun as going out and when we checked out we were sad to go. We definitely will be going back and recommending this to anyone who wants to stay in the Twin Cities.

  • I booked your great space for 4 visitors from Detroit. Here's their review - "This place is AMAZING! Its like a 5 star hotel but in a house. Dennie was a wonderful host. He answered all of our questions and made sure we were set up and had everything we needed. The fire place and pool table is definitely a bonus. I would totally recommend Dennie and Kevin's Air B and B to anyone!!!!"

  • I want to thank you both so much, it was a pleasure to meet you and we enjoyed our stay in Minneapolis an especially your accomodation very much. Everything was perfect and excellent, we felt being home by the first second we saw the place. It couldn´t have been better. Everything was available and even wine and some snacks for us. I really hope to come to your place once again. Thanks so much.

  • We stayed at Dennie and Kevin's place over the Easter weekend and it was delightful. It looks just as lovely in person as it does in the photos. Very clean and open environment. We even found a gift of chocolate eggs and wine to enjoy! They are wonderful and gracious hosts answering our questions (some repeat questions too!) very cheerfully. Gave us great recommendations for restaurants, running trails, everything. Really wonderful home and hosts. We highly recommend it! Cathie & Ronny

  • Just like prior reviews - wonderful spot with very gracious hosts. It's an oasis in a very pretty city neighborhood. Comfortable and well appointed living space with a peaceful garden terrace to enjoy as well. Highly recommend.

  • What a great space to unwind and relax. Great indoor and outdoor space. Peaceful and tranquil.

    James2016-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very good communication before and at arrival. The accommodations mirror the description. In other words-terrific. It was a very good serving as a place for us to go back and forth to downtown Minneapolis and also be a wonderful site to return and relax in the backyard garden and apartment facilities. The residential neighborhood is terrific for walking/running. i would/will definitely stay here again.

    Todd2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic stay at Dennie & Kevin's! The home is even more beautiful than the photos suggest. They very thoughtfully provided us with snacks and refreshments upon our arrival and invited us to enjoy the fresh vegetables and herbs from their amazing garden! The outdoor space is very inviting and peaceful; the perfect place to start or end your day. We cook daily, so we opted not to on this vacation, but would have been very happy to do so in their well appointed kitchen. The pool table was such a treat. We enjoyed playing together at the end of the day. This is a great place for entertaining. The neighborhood is upscale and quiet with a coffee shop/cafe and corner market within short walking distance. It is a very convenient location with quick access to both Uptown and Downtown Minneapolis. We would definitely return and highly recommend!

  • Dennie and Kevin greeted us warmly and made our stay in Minneapolis comfortable and welcoming. We stayed for a conference and their home was extremely walkable to the Walker Arts Center.

Harry was a great host. We were a group of 5 students and Harry lent all of us one of his bikes for free so we could make a great bike tour! At the last day he even went jogging with us. He showed us the sculpture park and the chain of lakes, which was really nice. To the apartment: The place is really big and comfortable, also for a greater number of guests. The kitchen is well equipped and has all you need. It was really warm during our stay but though there are ventilators in each room we could keep the house cool just by opening the windows. The neighborhood is quiet and really nice for biking and jogging! I can only strongly recommend this place and would definitively stay there when I'll come back to Minneapolis! :)

Great, comfortable place to stay in Minneapolis. Not quite as easy to get downtown as I'd hoped, but Randy was a great host.

Had a relaxing few days in this warm and comfortable little cottage, from enjoying morning coffee while watching the sunrise through the trees to the lake, to soaking in the hot tub out back after visiting family and exploring Mpls. Would like to come back in the summer some time.
