This luxury 10,000 sq.ft. home is 5 min drive to Calgary, 45 min. driving distance to the gorgeous Rocky Mountains of Alberta in Banff National Park and Lake Louise. Great for large families, tour groups and TV/movie crews. Skiing, hiking, boating! Please be advised that the home is not equipped to host large parties and large events.
There are 8 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms in this massive home at the edge of Calgary, Alberta on almost 5 beautiful acres with 4 car garage and an additional massive driveway that can accommodate another 8 cars. The home can accommodate 20+ people. Enjoy the privacy of this secluded community neighborhood and the proximity to all of the big city's amenities only 5 minutes away. Gorgeous woods, pond, and nature walks all over the property. Luxury bathrooms, spiral staircase, walkout basement, and modern kitchen. Master bathroom with huge Soaker tub and the two upstairs attached baths have claw foot tubs and stand up showers. Dual full ovens, microwave, modern fridge, alarm system, gas range. There are 4 outdoor spaces off the home (basement patio, kitchen deck, upper floor balconies). BBQ available.
This is an estate area with about 20 homes with large acreage properties. It is a very quick drive into the main city center. Secluded, yet still a community and not too isolated.
  • We rented the house for a school club retreat. We never met Iqbal but he was always available via phone. The house is exactly as shown in the photos and our group had a lovely stay. We noticed a water leak in one of sinks and Iqbal offered to send someone to come fix it, but it didn't affect our stay at all. I definitely recommend staying here for your next visit in the city!

  • Great place to stay if you want to stay with a couple families all together. Lots of space and rooms. Even if you wanted to be a bit segregated from each other it could easily be done Iqbal answered all my questions and was readily available if I had any more Not to far from the city with a co-op grocery store, subway and liquor shop less than 10mins away

  • Cannot thank Iqbal enough for use of his property for 3 days. Beautiful and huge home was perfect for our party of 9 adults and 3 kids. Great value for that type of property, far superior to booking the equivalent cost in hotel rooms. Host very responsive, home has everything you need. 6 total beds, can sleep 11. One additional Murphy-style pull down single bed. Tip for future guests - the extra towels are in the office next to the laundry room. I doubt I will ever find such a nice property to rent at this reasonable cost. Awesome find. Very gracious and classy host.

  • Fantastic!! My family came from out of town for my wedding and everyone stayed. The place was amazing!!! Clean and spacious. Lots of room and space for everyone. Entertainment room for some kids, billiards table for older kids and adults. Iqbal was a top-notch host. Communicated with us anytime we needed anything and did everything to help us. Was more than accommodating anytime we had any questions. I would definitely recommend this place to any group.

  • This House was perfect for what we needed (A large house that could comfortably sleep a group of 15 adults with their <2yr old kids. Each couple ended up having a bedroom with attached bath and most with a walk in closet. We personally ended up having our child sleep in the walk-in closet since it was large enough. The house is definitely not brand new and could use a bit more TLC in spots like replacing burnt out lights but it was never an issue of a room being dark, more of just that polished look. Hence it worked perfect for our family oriented trip. Would definitely stay again if life takes me back to Calgary with a large group.

  • We booked this beautiful home for a spa-themed bachelorette weekend. There was no shortage of space for our 14 guests to comfortably spend the weekend together. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed many aspects of our stay. The outdoor property and surrounding areas offered pleasant scenery for walking, while the numerous ensuite bathrooms, (many of which feature deep bathtubs for a luxurious soak), were a huge convenience for our guests. There is no doubt that the open concept main floor kitchen and living space is perfect for sharing meals and visiting with a group. The master bedroom at the top of the spiral staircase is nothing short of impressive, while the basement is very spacious for casual recreation. Although it didn't hold us back from enjoying ourselves, the house does show some signs of wear and tear and the need for mild maintenance. Dealing with our host was very easy via text message, and I am already looking for another reason to book this home for a weekend getaway!

  • This condo is fantastic location, amenities and price. We had a great time and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. Close to Canmore and Banff was perfect for us. Loved the large bathroom, comfy bedroom and kitchen space. It is tastefully decorated and easy access to the hot tub ( which we didn't get to use but it looked fantastic). Make book kept us updated right from booking to day of and was able to get us into the condo early which was a great surprise. Great communication!

  • Our experience from booking and staying at the Mountain Getaway condo was wonderful. From the very beginning, starting with communicating with Makhbool was great. He provides so much detail, so everything runs smoothly. First thing I noticed when we made it to the condo, the place was VERY clean - which is very important to me. On our first night, Makhbool called to check on us to make sure everything was okay - he also gave us some recommendations for site seeing. Overall, great experience! I would highly recommend staying here.

  • Makhbool's Mountain Getaway in the Rockies suite was very clean and well maintained. Everything we needed was provided to us along with clear instructions for how to use everything, clean up and dispose of garbage as well as helpful brochures and magazines suggesting local restaurants and activities. The proximity of the suite to Canmore and Banff makes it the ideal place to stay if you're looking for convenience with the peace and quiet that comes with staying away from the main tourist areas. Makhbool was a very friendly and communicative host (even though I forgot my cell phone charger so I did not receive his calls!). The only thing we were disappointed about was that the hot tub was out of order when we visited.

All the book-in instructions were very clear. The condo is located on the top floor of the building and has amazing views of the city. The only negative is that the noise from the traffic and trains can be disturbing at night time.

  • The view was so nice, especially when we opened our eyes to see the sunrise above the skyline. We also enjoyed a marvelous breakfast at the Sunterra Market located in the adjacent building. A great little get away and first AirBnb experience. Would absolutely recommend to a friend or stay again when we return to Calgary. Our host was accessible, pleasant and helpful. The apartment was clean and bright just want we were looking for! Nice to have free WiFi and there was even Netflix, if we had time we would have watched a movie and enjoyed the night sky lit up below us.

    What our guests love about our listing: - Our spa inspired bathroom with rain shower head. - The handcrafted decor and ambiance. - The easy access to transit that brings you within minutes to Edmonton's biggest venues and downtown core as well as groceries next door. What some of our guests do not love that much about our listing: - Being right next to a transit access point although handy does mean the traffic that runs by it might disturb some light sleepers. - The apartment is located in an older working class urban neighborhood and although very safe it may feel strange for some who are used to a rural or suburb setting. Located in a condominium 5 MINUTES FROM DOWNTOWN, this place is fully equipped with HIGH-SPEED WIRELESS INTERNET, HD TV and it has recently been fully renovated to accommodate as many as 6 guests. The kitchen is up-to-date, fully equipped with appliances. The living room has a nice L-shape super comfy couch with a 55" Samsung HD screen. Attached, you'll find the bedroom, with a super comfy QUEEN TEMPURPEDIC MATTRESS with its own closet and plenty of space to put all your luggage. The couch in the living room also opens up to a DOUBLE MATTRESS to accommodate 2 more guests and a QUEEN AIR MATTRESS is also available to put up to sleep another 2 (so 5 people total).
    If you want to work out, swim, play badminton, basketball, or soccer, you can walk (or borrow the bike and cycle) to Commonwealth Stadium, national soccer stadium and home of the Edmonton Eskimos CFL football team. During the summer close-by Borden Park is a great place for a picnic or to play soccer and tennis. (David holds a national tennis professional certification and may be available for private lessons upon request) To add to the coziness only a block away there's a Save On Foods supermarket (full of organic produce), two hair salons, a dry cleaning service, fast food (Panago Pizza, Subway, MacDonalds), and a medical center.

The pictures of the room are exactly the same as real apartment. There are some noises from the street as the cars pass by apartment but that was not bother us so much. Overall nice apartment and also nice host.

  • The hosts were helpful when I couldn't figure out how to get in the building because we had no key yet, (they have it in a lock box on the chain link fence to your right of the door, with a code). They also have this very handy and awesome app you can download to lock and unlock the actual appartment door, so me and my bridesmaids never actually met our hosts in person, but they answer phone calls :) They were even nice enough to tell me when the price was going to drop on the rental to the original price I seen, which helped because we were on a budget The apartment its self is trendy for the neighborhood, the fold out couch is handy, it was perfect for us four girls and close to jasper ave bars One thing I can add is tho, the phone app that you use to lock and unlock the door is time sensative to your reservation, meaning it won't let you unlock the door until your reservation time actually starts or end (which check out is 11am) we were just heading out the door at 11 am and missed the window to lock the door behind us with the app, luckily a quick phone call and the host assured me that it was ok and they can lock the door from their phone or computer to, whew.

  • Our group of friends stayed at Tina's over the first Stampede weekend and were easily able to walk to the grounds + around downtown. Great weekend! The apartment is clean with large bedrooms, a full size kitchen, and lots of space in the living room with a nice park nearby. We didn't meet Tina but she offered to be flexible with check in since it's operated through a lock box. Our concerns were that there were five of us checked in but there wasn't enough pillows or cutlery in the apartment for everyone.

Decore was beautiful and the lovely opening living space was amazing. Lovely to be up high and look over downtown. We only left to have dinner and then spent the evening enjoying the space. It allowed enough space that we could have comfortably cooked and lived in the space for our entire stay (although we didn't- it is close to so many fun things to explore!). Sherrie and Neil were lovely people who welcomed us with little touches to make it special for us (beautiful roses!). They made sure that we felt comfortable in the space and also shared a piece of their heart with us in conversation. They are outstanding hosts! We would highly recommend the "Love Shack"!     I designed and built this semi rustic mini cottage as a hobby project 3 years ago. It's 12 x 12 feet with a small sleeping loft. Its simple, basic, and uncluttered. Very peaceful and quiet, tucked away in the trees with a king of the castle view down to Sproule creek. The kitchenette has a mini fridge, toaster oven, 2 burner hotplate, and microwave. Water is supplied by 5 gallon container which sits next to the sink. There's a small table with 2 chairs and a love seat. A radiant space heater keeps it really warm and cozy. The loft is accessed by ladder (not suitable for those who have trouble with ladders) and has a firm double mattress. The bathroom and w/d facility are in a separate building (main residence) 20 meters away from the cabin. The bathroom is large and spacious and is shared with 1 or 2 other airbnb guests who may be renting rooms in the main residence. Cottage guests have 24hr access to the bathroom which is just inside the front door of the main residence. IMPORTANT: 1 night bookings are not accepted unless booked WITHIN 3 WEEKS of arrival.
    8 minutes drive west of Nelson. 10 minutes drive to downtown. Quiet neighborhood of hobby farms. 20 minutes to the Whitewater turn off. Red Mountain about an hour away. Sproule creek hiking trail 1 minute up the road. Taghum beach 5 minutes away.

Just a hop, skip and a jump from down town Calgary and a five minute walk to a very local C train line which can take you to most places. The apartment itself is great, had everything you need for a stay and a awesome view of the city skyline. Below the apartment is a great local market, Starbucks and a off-licence selling local beers. Kris and Annalise gave us great information and were quick to answer any questions we had. We would highly recommend this as a great place to stay in Calgary.

Easy access to major roads (Deerfoot Trail, 16 Avenue, Memorial Drive), as well as a short 5-10 minute WALK to the Calgary Zoo, Telus Spark Science Center, Zoo LRT station, restaurants, parks & coffee shops. Come enjoy the private one-bedroom basement suite in our home with separate entrance, kitchen, full bath, living room and large windows. The suite has one QUEEN bed and a comfortable pullout double sofabed in the living room. If you are a family of more than 4 and would like to stay, please feel free to ask.     Renfrew is a well established neighborhood located NE of the city's downtown core. We are a 10 min walk to either the Telus Spark Science Center and the Calgary Zoo, two of Calgary's biggest attractions. The city's train system (called the LRT) is located at the Zoo entrance and can take you too all quadrants of the city (fees apply for purchasing tickets). The park which is located across the street from our house used to be part of the Zoo as well way back in the 1950s & 1960s! Today, it is called Tom Campbell's Hill Natural Park. With FANTASTIC views of the city year round & prime views of New Years, Canada Day as well as Stampede fireworks, it is a great place to go for a walk. Just be prepared for lots of dogs because it is also a busy off-leash park. Our community is slowly being revitalized with lots of new residential construction. Go down the hill to the community of Bridgeland/Riverside for a coffee or breakfast as well. See the map on my listing for locations of recommended sights/attractions/food/beverage establishments. For your own safety please do not leave any valuables in your vehicles. We live in a safe area but leaving valuables can attract thieves anywhere. Prevention is the best action to take!

Only wish I'd been traveling with someone else in order to put the very fine foosball table through its paces. The flat is easily reached from the main roads into Calgary, and it's a short walk to the LRT station that takes you into downtown in a few minutes. Can't recommend highly enough. It was the perfect size for 4 of us, had everything we needed, and was nice and clean/updated. Our time in Calgary was short, but it was conveniently close to Safeway, downtown, the airport, and many restaurants/shops. The kitchen had all the basics which was nice for us to make our oatmeal and coffee that we brought. I'd definitely stay here again if I were going to Banff and needed a place to crash in the beginning or end of my trip!

  • This is a wonder place to stay. I was getting married at the Nash in inglewood - go there if you get a chance the food is amazing. I wanted a place that was close so I could enjoy a relaxing evening with my Mom and my bridesmaids. We stayed there the entire night and relaxed with the beautiful view. I used the stove and kitchen - awesome and top notch! We arranged all of our flowers in the living room and in the morning we had hair stylists, make up artists and video crew come to make us beautiful. This place was perfect because it is so stunning inside. Louis was very easy to get ahold of and communicated quickly. Check in was easy! The location is incredible - make sure you head over to Char Bar and sit in the rooftop patio. The entire east side community is just amazing! Thank you Louis for a wonderful evening!

    My place is close to hiking, tennis courts, golf courses, parks and a 5 minute drive to the beaches and downtown!. Floor to ceiling windows and a beautiful view of the city, lake and mountains!!! We live in a very quiet neighbourhood! We have a large yard with a HEATED pool (open may-sept)and a trampoline! There are 2 bedrooms with queen size beds, we also have 2 modern couches that fold down into beds. My place is good for couples, business travellers, and families (with kids).WE LIVE UPSTAIRS.
    We have a heated pool that is open from april-sept. The pool is CLOSED October to April. The hot tub in our yard is NOT for use, this is our personal family hottub, please do not use it. Also there is a wood burning fireplace that make the space very cozy in the winter! We also have 2 tennis raquets and badminton raquets available upon request.
    We live in an extremely quite neighbourhood with spectacular views. Please respect the quiet neighbourhood while you are staying here.

The ability to do laundry was aweosme!! The entertainment system was top notch, the view was beautiful and I was just as comfortable at this AWESOME suite as I am at home!!!     Fall/winter: Reservation by Interview Only. Situated on the face of Mt Chase, this 100 yr old cabin can accommodate from 1 to 7 people very comfortably. Completely private, surrounded by a peaceful wilderness, you step out of time and back into nature. Please be aware, the cabin is truly in the wilderness. When the solar lights are out in the cabin, the only glow are the stars and your flashlight. The only sounds, your own and the forest. Love of nature & the outdoors required.
    Cabin is nestled on the face of Mt Chase in a completely private, quiet natural space. Completely off the grid, you are engulfed in the simplicity of nature. Lighting is solar and heating is by propane heater. Small kitchen inside and a summer kitchen is set up on the porch for washing dishes. There are 2 double beds and 3 single beds, 2 private bedrooms -The cabin is lit with solar lights but on the short winter days, power needs to be used wisely. There are also two very bright battery lanterns available. Lights are the only use of electricity. No other devices, though I can provide a battery pack for charging cell phones. -Bedding and lots of kitchen stuff is provided and a little kitchen for cooking and heating water for cleaning is inside -A low flow, gravity water system provides water for washing, showering with a and sink. The very nice outhouse is also available -My 160 acres and the surrounding crown land provide you with your own private winter wonderland. 2 km of my driveway make a very fun sledding, snowboarding/ski run. Lots of area to explore with snowshoes and cross country skis. Absolutely private, meaning there will be no other humans around. I live at up above at the end of the road and am virtually isolated from cabin and driveway activity.
    The cabin is a 15 minute drive off the Transcanada Highway though you feel as if you have stepped into the middle of nowhere. Completely surrounded by nature and quiet, there are no visible neighbors. A quick trip will take you to many fun and interesting adventures.

Despite being -20 outside one night we were warm enough inside the cabin - (if you want to be extra toasty I can recommend taking hot water bottles). We treated our stay as winter camping but inside a cabin instead of a tent. Marjorie went above and beyond to make sure we thoroughly enjoyed our time at her cabin. I also highly recommend taking your own snow shoes so you can explore the surrounding property.

    Our 555 sq ft modern loft is open concept with 6 wonderfully large windows that light the place right up. We are located right in the heart of downtown, and the only condo building to be directly connected to the lrt train station. ****The building does not have parking*** there is parkades and street parking available just outside the building at your cost.
    The building is very secure it has a 24 hour door person and fob entry into the building. It is the only building where you can take the elevator underground to the LRT. A tv with Netflix and wifi internet is included, we have a desk for anyone that needs to get some work done. Located right on Jasper ave the area is full of festivals during summer that are just steps away. In the winter take advantage of being able to access City Center without having to step outside in the cold by taking the elevator downstairs for underground access that will take you to great shopping, the movies or dinner. There are many great restauraunts in the area. Coming to Edmonton for a concert? walking distance to the new rogers arena about a 14 minute walk or a short ride to rexall on the lrt. ******There is a parkade located behind the building with hourly, daily, weekly and monthly rates available but the building itself does not have parking***** Overall this is a great location in walking distance to many places.

Completely hidden from the outside world, the treehouse sits in a grove of alpine fir trees, on a mountain bench overlooking the South Thompson River valley. Sun Peaks lies directly through the west window and the gently rolling mountains of the Shuswap through the north window. Upwards, behind you to the east, as you stand on the deck, extends Mt Chase and utter wilderness. Please be aware, the cabin is truly in the wilderness. A complete lack of civilization exists. When the solar lights are out in the treehouse, the only glow are the stars in the sky and possibly your spirits soaring. The only sounds are your own and a possible owl hooting, frog singing or crickets chirping. A 4 wheel drive can make it up easily and depending on the type of car, can make it up too. Worst case scenario, I can pick up you and your gear and drive it up, leaving your car in a parking area at the bottom of the hill. Bear and mosquito spray are provided. The ability to climb two flights of stairs is a requirement, as well as a keen sense of adventure.
    The treehouse is completely isolated. My 160 acres is surrounded by protected wilderness.
  • We loved our short stay in Marjorie's cabin in the woods. Marjorie gave us great directions, and kept in communication so that she was available to meet and show us to the cabin. It was just as rustic as described with minimal modern conveniences, but it was just what we needed. A wonderfully secluded spot that had one of the best sunsets I've had the privilege of seeing. Her breakfast burritos were also a great start to a day of mountain hiking. We'd love to go back and stay should we ever be in the area again.

  • We loved our stay at the treehouse! What a great experience – Marjorie had great instructions and met us on arrival. She walked us through everything and made sure we were set up and ready to go. The treehouse has the basic necessities, with gas station/food market only a 10 minute drive away. Marjorie made sure to have plenty of bug spray for the mosquitoes, but we found having a fire lit and bringing along some extra citronella candles helped! This is the perfect spot to have a quiet night away from the city, without the hassle of setting up your tent. Would definitely stay again!

Bordering crown land with wilderness on all sides this is the perfect place to relax, explore and commune with nature. The Blaeberry River outside presents beautiful canoeing and rafting opportunities. Hiking trails abound including easy riverside walks to full mountain scrambles. The town of Golden offers additional recreational opportunities including whitewater rafting, and skiing. You are also surrounded by 5 National Parks nearby. Despite being in the midst of pristine wilderness the modern amenities and fine dining options of Golden are never far away. Only 20 minutes drive to town and an additional 10 to Kicking Horse Resort. This is a true modern Canadian Rockies experience.
  • What a fabulous fabulous house. We had the most incredible 6 days at a perfect time of year...the last days of winter, turning into Spring. There was a lot for the kids to do, down by the river, building ice forts and making sled runs. It's in a very beautiful part of the world and it was easy to go exploring along the river, finding pristine waterfalls and great places for snowball fights! The house offered every comfort we needed...fires every night, great movie selection (not too many for under 10s though), infuriating (but fun) jigsaw puzzles, great kitchen... Ryan was super responsive to the wi-fi not working when we first arrived, which was great. Go experience it for yourself. One small piece of feedback I'll mention, don't expect the wi-fi to do anything other than limp along circa 1997!

  • we had 7 nights that flew by quickly at ryan's. Its a corner of the world where you can totally unwind and chill out. everything we needed to cook was in the house and if we needed anything, Golden is a short and pleasant drive away. Be a bit more prepared than we were as if you needed to (Hidden by Airbnb) while you are in the cabin, internet works intermittently. Overwaitea supermarket in Golden has great wifi which we made good use of to plan our trip. Its mozzie season right now, so bring potent repellent with you. There were 3 cute but messy peacocks that also really liked the property and made a lot of mess. Ryan is planning to trap and relocate them. My kids would have loved to have seen that happen! Overall, we felt super lucky to have discovered this gem.

  • Staying here was incredible and just blew us away - what a wonderful way to spend our last few days in Canada, it was just perfect. The beautiful turquoise Blaeberry River rushing past was the most stunning background in one direction and to watch the sun go down in the mountain out of another window with a very nice glass of BC wine was magical. IGA provided us with monster T bone steaks for the BBQ and the house is so well equipped - even had steak knives. We had a exciting yet relaxing (is that possible?) few hours fishing with Dave Burns 'The Golden Gilly' on the Columbia River (caught a Bull Trout) and do go and see the super chilled Leo on his buffalo ranch - both thoroughly nice guys. Other than that we have fabulous family down time, playing cards, walking, fishing and chatting.

    Incredible value for your money in Canada's Palm Springs playground on the lake. A quiet, clean and quaint heritage artist's house in a village of 1950's bungalows at the base of Knox Mountain only 20 minutes walk away from downtown. No children. No pets. Lovely feeling of stepping into a calmer past with all of imperfections and sense of character that come with a heritage home. You will not find another host with as much experience and as many positive reviews in all of Kelowna.
    Incredible value for your stay. Two twin beds, desk, chest of drawers, fast wifi. Basket of supplies in the room. Toiletries in bathroom. Step in the door and the experience begins. Bright colors, heritage furniture, a book shelf full of self help and spiritual books for your use. Colorful walls are hung with the works of the artist owner. People describe it as "quaint", "a sanctuary" and "adorable". In season, roses line the front yard and the walk way to the house has welcoming lavender on both sides. Artist's house with the owner's art on every wall. All art works are for sale. The character house built in 1946 for returning veterans sits in the peaceful north end neighbourhood beneath the trails of Knox Mountain. Walk or drive the road up Knox to see the vista of Okanagan Lake spread beneath. One trail leads to Paul's Tomb a lovely, secluded swimming hole. The nature trail up Knox Mountain allows for a stunning site to photograph all of Okanagan Lake. Parking available and free directly in front of the house. Very safe and secure neighbourhood. Room is 159.5 square feet. wifi, and use of laundry facilities. Quiet house with no pets or children. Shared use of kitchen. Shared bathroom with adjoining room. Towels and wash cloths provided.   • Stayed with Laura and Arthur for two nights. Their unit is just fantastic, quit neighborhood, not a basement so lots of natural light and no one wakes you up early by walking over your head. I was very impressed with how hassle free the hosts are and how accommodating everything was for late arrives like we were. The unit is very well kept and has all the basics including a fully equipped kitchen and a comfy bedroom. The unit is close to downtown Kelowna and to the highway so easy to get to and from. I highly recommend staying with these guys.

It's cozy and makes the most of the space and provides all the amenities one would need. The lake was very quiet when we were there and we didn't see any neighbours. The deck and view was stunning, and we took advantage of being 1/2 an hour from Fernie to do a lovely hike.   • I hesitate writing this review as I wish Donna's beautiful cottage would remain a secret. The setting is incredibly serene and all of the little touches Donna has added makes it a true gem. We were hoping to do more around the area but found it difficult to leave the tranquility of Donna's slice of heaven. It was also great for my 5 and 6 year old to step away from the technological grid. Kim who takes care of the cottage left it extremely clean and she was very welcoming.   • This is our first time using Airbnb and Ross has given us such a pleasant experience! The place is nicely decorated, very clean, and most importantly it feels like home! Coffee pot is ready to use, with a kitchen stocked with things you would need as a traveller. Ross/Susan provided us with a bottle of wine which is an added surprise. The master room is very spacious and both beds are very comfortable. There is lots of parking in front of the house if you have any visitors. The other couple lost one of Ross's keys and he's still so kind and patient about it. And the bonus is, Ross is a very intelligent person himself and he'd be happy to talk to you about investing or vacation homes if you are interested. Thank you Ross for a wonderful trip!

    Our rustic log cabin in the middle of the majestic British Columbia Rocky Mountains will make you feel right at home. You'll love your stay here with our stone fireplace, beautiful mountain views, and authentic log cabin feel. My place is good for couples and families with kids and big groups. This all gets better with a fire-pit by the cabin to hangout around it with friends. :) Due to the remote nature of our cabin, WiFi is spotty and strongest near the head office.

  • We greatly enjoyed our stay at Tina's place. It's evident that the property is well cared for. It was incredibly clean and equipped just as advertised. There is parking lot with little wagons to help you carry your luggage to the chalets which was very convenient. I also loved that we didn't have to wait on anyone to let us in - the key was in a lockbox on the property. That meant we didn't have to coordinate arrival times! We loved the location just south of Field and a bit north of Golden. It was central to the five national parks we visited. The kitchen had everything we needed to whip something up to snack on. The fireplace used gas logs which was very convenient. The queen bed, two twin beds and bathtub have no separation in the loft which wasn't a problem for us. Although the chalet is surrounded by other chalets it was still very quiet. You will have a view of the mountain tops but it's over the top of other chalets. Make sure you get great directions because our Garmin didn't recognize the address and it was a bit difficult to find at night. We would stay at Tina's again as it was a great value. This quiet, rural, location is one of the warmest and driest ecoregions in Canada with numerous wineries, hiking/biking trails, and boating/swimming in Okanagan Lake. Summerland is a good central location from which to explore the Okanagan Valley between Osoyoos and Kelowna. Our location is best accessed by a car. 2018 District of Summerland Bed and Breakfast Business Licenced.
    This is a 60 sq m (650 sq ft) one bedroom/one bathroom self contained suite with a living area and a kitchen. The apartment is equipped with wireless internet and TELUS TVs with Netflix. The living area has a couch and chair, table and chairs for eating, and a queen size Murphy (fold down) bed. There is a full size washer and drier in a closet off the living area. The kitchen has a full size fridge, microwave, induction cooking plate, toaster oven, Keurig coffee maker, and dishes. The kitchen is stocked with basic supplies like salt/pepper, cooking oil, and with coffee/tea, cereal, and fruit for your first breakfast. The bathroom has a sink, toilet, and tub with shower. There is a small balcony with bistro table and two chairs.

  • Upon arrival, Ceri and Brent made us feel incredibly welcome! We were given a quick tour, then left to settle in for the weekend. We were visiting the Okanagan with our infant daughter and dog so we hoped this place would help us to feel more at home than any hotel ever could. The Suite was beyond any expectation we had- and ultimately, we were thrilled about the choice we made. Once we got to the top of the stairs in the suite, we instantly felt at home. The apartment is furnished beautifully with tasteful, practical pieces and the bathroom is a spa-like dream! The condiments they provided were just perfect and the coffee made our mornings seamless. We truly felt like we were on a vacation. Over the course of the weekend as we came and went, our contact with Ceri and Brent was always pleasant. They offered suggestions about places to eat, things to see but also gave us our privacy and really made us feel comfortable being in their space. If you're looking for a really easy place to unwind, this is the place! Highly recommended!

Pizza by the slice is delicious and one can always order whole pizza's with a little notice. Sundays are my favorite because of the fresh chocolate filled croissants. Our general store/cafe is a hub that provides you with many groceries, odds and ends, and the best coffee in the area. There is always freshly baked goods, a fully stocked deli and a menu with a variety of choices for breakfast or lunch. The Ymir hotel, with its extensive and famed art collection ie(Papanugini), is an unforgettable local watering hole with dinner service and have a open jam on Friday nights. The proprietor will happily give you a tour of the old building and its art. The Ymir community hall and the Old Ymir School House often host live music and dances.

  • We enjoyed our stay in ‘The Church” immensely. The interior was breathtaking with beautiful fixtures, custom wood and rockwork and an awesome wood stove. It was clean and comfortable, with all expected modern amenities (stereo with aux input, wifi, great DVD collection and fully stocked kitchen). This was our second visit to Ymir, once in winter and once in summer and we have absolutely fallen in love with the town. It’s only 20km from Ymir to Whitewater Ski Area and a much more relaxing and quieter place to stay than Nelson. Everything is in walking distance and the locals keep a skating rink next to the hotel bar in winter. There’s also cross-country ski trails in winter and fantastic cycling in summer, including an old gravel rail trail that connects to Nelson (30km). Robyn was a fantastic host and had the fire stoked for our check-in. We’ll be back for sure!!!

  • Our stay in Ymir Church was lovely and relaxing. The house has everything you need. Good sleeps, nice kitchen, surprising bathroom, etc. The area is laid back and relaxed. Lots of things to do (swimming, boating, hiking, geocaching, ...). Ymir is a nice little town. Don't forget to shop at the bakery (great cinnamon rolls and sourdough bread) and Ymir store (good coffee and basic groceries). Robyn is easy to communicate with.

  • Iris and Andrew have a lovely brand-new two-bedroom condo. It's bright, light, and immaculately kept, and furnished with IKEA. The kitchen has all the pots & pans and things that you'd need. Bonus for those of you traveling with a baby -- the open concept closet/dressing space (no door) between the master bath and guestroom fits a pack-n-play perfectly, so the baby has a bit of space of its own out of the way of the main bedroom. Easy access from this place to the west side of Edmonton and there's a Superstore very close by (this is turning into such a parent's review, but I am wearing my "I survived a 2000 mile road trip with two kids" badge proudly) for necessities. Iris and Andrew were great! They checked up on us to see if we needed anything, and they had a helpful list of restaurants/things to do readily available in the kitchen. Definitely would stay again -- perhaps again next summer!

Conveniently located 50ft off of highway 97, its a quick drive to multiple Okanagan cities such as OK Falls, Penticton, Peachland, West Kelowna, and Kelowna. The Apple Orchard Suite is surrounded by wineries and within minutes you can visit wineries such as Backdoor, Sumac Ridge, Crush Pad, as well as Evolve to name a few.
    The carriage style home is private, professionally designed, fully furnished, and located on a 1-acre property. We like to provide a few essentials to start you off on your stay- coffee, tea, cream, butter, and bread are always waiting for you after check in. While staying, enjoy a comfortable queen sized bed, A/C, a fully equipped kitchen, full bathroom with a soaker tub, laundry, TV, DVD player and DVD', a semi private outdoor patio with BBQ, and a fragrance free atmosphere as we use only naturally scented cleaners and no synthetic smells. A family member lives on the top floor of the building and is considerate of guests.
    Our large and secluded property is conveniently located next to the Okanagan's central highway (Hwy 97) and easily accessible. Penticton is a 15 minute drive south, Peachland a 15 minute drive north, and Kelowna is also north about 45 minutes.

There were also a few games and lots of books. Nice tv with lots of channel choices. The bedroom was nice and the couch was a pull out for more sleeping space. Had a kitchen and bathroom including a washer/dryer to use. Overall it is a great place to stay, the only caveat would be for light sleepers. The location is right next to a highway and during the morning around 6:30am when people are going to work it does get a bit loud, we used ear plugs. It is shielded directly from the highway with trees/fence, but in the bedroom you definitely hear the road traffic. It was a small price to pay for such a great place to stay, we would most certainly stay there again.

The comfortable queen sized bed with reading lights, vintage chest of drawers is in a quiet, clean, colorful room with sky blue walls. 15 minutes walk from the stunning Knox Mountain Park with lake views. Lovely feeling of stepping into a calmer past with all of imperfections and sense of character that come with a heritage home. No children. You will not find another host with as much experience and as many positive reviews in all of Kelowna.
    Go back in time in this 1946 small houses; to a quiet and calm neighbourhood; to the magic of a time when gardens showed the personality of the owners. Step in the door and the experience begins. Bright color, heritage furniture, a book shelf full of self help and spiritual books for your use. Colorful walls are hung with the works of the artist owner. People describe it as "quaint", "a sanctuary" and "adorable". In season roses line the front yard and the walk way to the house has welcoming lavender on both sides. Artist's house with the owner's art on every wall. Pieces are for sale. Character house built in 1946 for returning veterans sits in the peaceful north end neighbourhood beneath the trails of Knox Mountain. Walk or drive the road up Knox to see the vista of Okanagan Lake spread beneath. The beauty of Knox Mountain Park with its owls, deer, marmots, eagles and hawks is only 500 meters walk away from the front door. Comfortable Queen Sized bed. Private room. The bathroom is shared with the adjacent room. Guest is provided with fresh towels in the room, and toiletries in the bathroom. There are also baskets with supplies for guests in each room. The Blue Room is 11 feet by 10 feet. wifi, and use of laundry facilities for one load is free. Toiletries, towels and wash cloths are provided. Hair dryer, iron and ironing board upon request. Two guest bicycles and helmets upon request for free. Local phone calls available on house phone for free. Restful, quiet house with no pets or children. Shared use of kitchen including dishes, pans. Barbeque available in backyard. There is a park within ten minute walk. Or sit on the deck at night beneath the moon and stars which are clearly visible because of lack of light pollution. Hostess is a former English teacher and can help with language lessons. Certified TESL and 30 years in high school, college and university as a teacher. Twenty minute walk to downtown Kelowna, one hour to Big White Ski Hill, ten minute walk to Okanagan Lake. Near live theatre, restaurants, art gallery and coffee shops. Visit the wine museum ten minutes away or local museums. Parking available and free in front of the house. For a $20 fee I will pick you up at the bus depot or at the airport. Taxi fare is usually $47. Check out Mad Mango Cafe, Soban Korean Restaurant, Gio's Coffee Cafe and The Curious Cafe. Excellent restaurants, coffee houses within a walking distance. Ideally situated close to lakeshore with a swimming and sun bathing beach. In winter, a public ice skating out door arena is within 20 minutes walk with a skate rental truck next to it. Enjoy the stars on a night skate. Three minutes walk from bus route which leads to the bus depot, the Orchard Park Mall or transfers to wineries. The Grand Hotel 15 minutes away is the site where a rental bike business can be found that takes tourists on various excursions including a winery tour. There are two rental bike places within a few blocks on Ellis Street. Kelowna's cultural district is a 15 to 20 minute walk away or three minute walk to the bus. Actor's Studio, Kelowna Art Gallery, many coffee shops and restaurants close by. Ski hill shuttle near by. In very quiet neighbourhood.     The North End of the city is a quiet village. It was built from 1946 to 1950 for the returning war veterans. It housed the mostly Italian workers who ran the fruit packing factory, the mill and was a close knit community. Friday the rugs were rolled back and the house with the upright piano became a community dance hall. Children and older people danced with parents. Exhausted children were put to sleep on the stairs and upstairs floors. It was a time of interaction and social closeness.

The building is attractive and is enhanced by Cherie's own original artwork. The room was a decent size, clean and had good wardrobe & drawer space (plus TV). The bathroom was clean and tidy, and had a good shower. Good fridge-freezer and cooking facilities. The kitchen and living room stayed reasonably cool despite very hot weather during our stay, so giving somewhere to hang out before the worst of the heat passed. Location is good for a bus into the centre town but the distance is also fine for walking.

Very clean, nice, new space; bedroom is nice, bed is comfy, bathroom is standard, kitchen has all you need, fridge is empty, freezer has ice trays. Hot tub is very nice (jets weren't working while we were there but the people said that is rare). Grocery store in Keynote 1; expensive, good food. Sushi joint on the ground floor is really nice, and not overpriced. I used Uber everywhere and they were rarely over 10$. Check in was easy. Great time at this condo, I will definitely go back there next time I'm in Calgs.

We were a little bit concern at first with the parking location but realizing how close it is to the place it all make sense then. You certainly cant beat the location, it was a quick 5 min drive down to 17th ave with access to some of Calgary finest restaurant and coffee shops, the sunterra market accross the building was a great place to grab breakfast/brunch as recommended by Kris and Annalise's guide. The condo has all the amentities a traveling families can wish for, washing/dryer, fully equipped kitchen, Smart TV with fast internet access to name a few. Overall a decent place to stay near downtown Calgary. This was all topped by Kris superb hospitality, he was easy to get a hold of, addressed all of our questions and concerns swiftly, it certainly felt like we were staying at a family member place! We're looking forward to our next stay with Kris and Annalise place again in the near future.

Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), big groups, and pets. Lots of space for outdoors activities. Fresh air, best clean mountain water. Hiking, Skiing, swimming, climbing, natural hot springs, biking, and almost any outdoor activity you can think of! Cozy with a great kitchen, living room and more!
    Ideal for groups of families and friends for a vacation, business meetings, wedding, party, etc. Equipment for presentations available. Lots of space inside and outside and a big kitchen. You will love your bon fires, the hot tub, the outdoor space, the nature and the mountains. Gorgeous views!
    We = Caio & Gerard Paagman and our three youngest daughters. About our unique and breathtaking location: - Our property is at the end of Houlgrave Road; behind us: never ending nature, mountains, trails and wildlife but still close to the town of Invermere [15 minutes] and Panorama [also 15 minutes] - Great for family and friends events! - During all seasons, great for almost any outdoor activity you can think off! - On our property, we keep and train the famous Friesian horses and you might have seen our horses in movies like “The Hunger Games”, “The Caravan”, etc. What can we do for you:? It’s our goal that your stay at our place will be a great experience for you! That you will feel welcome and feel ‘at home’ and that you will go home with great memories, a big smile and maybe a small tear in your eyes! We do respect your privacy and if you prefer you won’t hear or see us but………………we will be happy to help you with: a. Making a program for when you will be here b. Make your special event more special with anything you can think of: our sky is NOT the limit because we can also organize that helicopter flight, taking pictures of you with one of our drones, etc. What you can expect: 1. A clean place [we take pride in offering you a super clean and fresh place] with great comfy beds! 2. A full kitchen with a cooking stove with oven and lots of kitchen equipment, cutlery, plates, cups, glasses, fridge, etc. 3. Full bathrooms with lots of clean towels; you can use the laundry machines in the big bathroom in the barn [laundry soap is included] 4. Charcoal BBQ and/or a Big wood-BBQ 5. Firewood for the inside wood stove, your private hot tub and your bon fires. 6. Extra bedding [pillows, blankets, etc.] when necessary 7. Your private and wood heated Hot Tub with clean water and no chemicals; yes, you will love the view! What you can also use free of charge: A. Canoe for about 6 persons B. One of our sound systems [PA systems]; you can also plug in your cellphone with your favourite music playlist C. Commercial freezer D. Snow shoes for in the winter time [we have six sets you can use] And some suggestions for your program: You will be in the mountains: nature, wild life, lots of space, creeks and rivers, beautiful lakes. We like to help you with your program and if you are interested in any of the following activities then please let us know: • Mountain biking • Skiing [down hill or cross country] • Snow shoeing • Skating • Archery • Swimming • Visit to natural hot springs • Star watching • Hiking • Ski-doing • ATV tour to Paradise Mountain [Toby Creek Adventures] • Fishing • Hunting • Para-gliding • Horse back riding / carriage driving • Archery • Golf • Tennis • Just reading a book near the fire • Mountain climbing • Canoeing • Running • Paddle boarding • Jet-skiing • Boating • Bird watching • And what did we forget?? And some bits and pieces: - You are in bear country; please don’t leave any trash outside - Don’t go out on the trails by yourself and ask us for a can of pepper spray you can take with you when you go out on the trails - Our water is fresh and clean mountain water; we have been drinking it for 20 years without filtering it! - In case the cooking stoves are too small we can set up big propane-cooking burners for you - Parking space is endless also for trailers, motorhomes, RVs, etc. - For young babies, you can use one of our cribs [please ask us to set it up] - Interested in horses? Gerard will be happy to make you part of his world - Ask Caio about her amazing concrete work - Before you start a fire outside, please ask us if there is not a fire ban in place; have you never started a fire? Please ask us to show you how to do it! - Yes please bring your instruments: you can play inside and outside and plug it into one of our sound systems! About ourselves: - About 22 years ago, Caio & Gerard moved with their family from The Netherlands [Europe] to Invermere, - With their 3 youngest daughters Caio and Gerard live on the property; main activities for Caio are making beautiful concrete counter- and table-tops and being a personal life coach and Gerard trains Friesian horses mainly for the sport of so called ‘Combined Driving’ and for the movie industry - Caio is 52 years old and Gerard 62; their three youngest daughters are 13, 15 and 17 years old. And may we please ask you to bring shoes for inside use? And our main rule……………….any question the answer will be YES!   • My stay at the barn was an all around unforgettable experience!!! Gerard and Caio are wonderful hosts - from the smoothie, morning coffee, their sweet children and pups, a pretty hike, ATV tour, BBQ with their family and friends to spending time with their beautiful horses - this place is truly special! The hot tub and watching the sun go down and the stars come out are a MUST!! Simply amazing. All of it!!!! Can't wait to come back!

  • Apart from the annoying flies, the stay at Gerard & Caio's place was exceptional. The unique experience started from following Caio's moto to the barn: ) Having those superstar horses as neighbors was interesting too, they are surprisingly quiet. Gerard & Caio gave us many good advices and kindly lended their canoe to us. Caio even cooked some super delicious coconut soup for us. We would stay longer should we have more time.

  • Staying at House of Friesians was by far the highlight of our trip. A unique and very special barn that comes with all the welcoming love and care of gerrard and Caio and their family. Two nights was simply not enough.

  • Gerard and Caio's farm is an extraordinary place located at the base of the mountains in the Invermere valley. They went above and beyond to make our stay special, including such touches as homemade baking and spending a day preparing the use of a wood heated hot tub! The barn is not in use during the winter for the horses, and the top level is were the living quarters are. The barn, and the property in general, has tremendous upkeep and the living area is romantic and rustic without sacrificing any amenities--it is fully heated, the kitchen is fully stocked, multiple bathrooms and showers were spotless, washer and dryer, and a wood stove to use if so inclined! We had a wonderful time exploring their property, snow shoeing at the base of the mountains, taking their suggestions to cross-country ski at Lake Lillian and Panorama, hiking along the frozen wet lands, and drinking coffee at Kicking Horse. We also loved getting to know Gerard and Caio and their children, and our dog made best friends with their wonderful and friendly pets! On top of all that we got to marvel and learn about their Friesian horses! Truly they can provide anything you need and we highly recommend a stay. They are wonderful hosts and even better people. Thanks so much for having us, Gerard and Caio!

  • Gerard, Caio and there family were wonderful! We were a group of 15 staying in their barn. The barn has everything you need, we were very comfortable. It was clean and spacious and easily fit all 15 of us. It is a very unique venue and a really cool space for a large group. Gerard was great right from the moment we booked, answering questions right away, providing information and making sure we felt welcome right from the moment we booked. Gerard is very quick to respond to emails if you ever have questions. The barn is close to Panorama ski hill and the town of Invermere. Our group went skiing/snow boarding, snow shoeing, cross country skiing and skidooing. There is tons to do in the area and Gerard knows the area well and is willing to help you if you are looking for suggestions or want to learn more about what there is to do in the area. There is also a lot to do right on the property if you just want to hang out in that area. We were there for NYE 2016/2017 and felt so welcome by Gerard and the family. Gerard, Caio and the family hosted us for NYE. We had a huge bonfire including soup and champagne for all. The family joined us and were lovely and so fun to be with. It made for a very special night we will never forget. Anything we needed Gerard and his family were willing to help with, they let us use their snow shoes, showed us their property including their beautiful horses and truly made us feel welcome. There are nothing but great things to say about this trip, our group highly recommends this property and couldn't imagine better hosts.

  • Gerard and Caio's place was incredible. The family was very thoughtful and kind. Some of the people in our group needed a car boost and a tow and the family was right there helping us problem solve. They were also very helpful in suggesting activities and things to do. The barn has a outdoor fire pit which was a fun experience at night. The rooms are clean and practical. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with an abundance of spices and there is an amazing sound system to the entire place. It was a memorable experience for us group of friends and we 100% recommend this place!

  • My fiancé and I wanted a different kind of wedding when we stumbled across and fell in love with Gerard and Caio’s venue on Air Bnb. Little did we know that we were about to meet the most lovely family you could possibly imagine in the process. Not only were they quick to respond and answer any questions, they were genuinely just as excited about having the best wedding imaginable as we were. Our entire wedding party was able to stay on the property because it is so spacious and has lots of amenities to accommodate large groups. We barely brought decorations because everything is already so beautiful. These two will move heaven and earth to make sure your event will be the host of amazing memories. The property offered multiple settings; gorgeous outdoor ceremony in the field escorted by horses, dinner and reception in the hall (that easily accommodated our 70 person event) then outside to the wooden lit dance floor, shelter and PA system to carry the evening as long as we needed. We adored these two and their family so much we invited them to join us in our celebration, and everyone that attended was blown away by the venue. We’ve barely left a day and are already talking about when our next visit to the House of the Friesians will be. I could literally go on forever about how amazing our stay was, but we suggest you experience it yourself!

  • Our families stayed at Gerard and Caio's barn and it was amazing. The scenery is absolutely beautiful but the best part was how wonderful the Paagman family is. From the very moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and made to feel comfortable in their awesome barn. It was such a fun and unique place to stay with so much to do. The barn is clean, warm and relaxing. It is a very unique place to stay. There were 13 of us who stayed for a long weekend of skiing, exploring and admiring their horses. Nobody (adults and children) wanted to leave. We will definitely be returning to the Best Cozy Barn in the mountains of British Columbia. Huge thank you to the Paagman family!
