This luxury 10,000 sq.ft. home is 5 min drive to Calgary, 45 min. driving distance to the gorgeous Rocky Mountains of Alberta in Banff National Park and Lake Louise. Great for large families, tour groups and TV/movie crews. Skiing, hiking, boating! Please be advised that the home is not equipped to host large parties and large events.
There are 8 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms in this massive home at the edge of Calgary, Alberta on almost 5 beautiful acres with 4 car garage and an additional massive driveway that can accommodate another 8 cars. The home can accommodate 20+ people. Enjoy the privacy of this secluded community neighborhood and the proximity to all of the big city's amenities only 5 minutes away. Gorgeous woods, pond, and nature walks all over the property. Luxury bathrooms, spiral staircase, walkout basement, and modern kitchen. Master bathroom with huge Soaker tub and the two upstairs attached baths have claw foot tubs and stand up showers. Dual full ovens, microwave, modern fridge, alarm system, gas range. There are 4 outdoor spaces off the home (basement patio, kitchen deck, upper floor balconies). BBQ available.
This is an estate area with about 20 homes with large acreage properties. It is a very quick drive into the main city center. Secluded, yet still a community and not too isolated.
  • Iqbal's home is truly stunning! I highly recommend this opportunity to stay in luxury. My family was just floored by how spectacular this house was! We stayed here for a family holiday, visiting Calgary and Banff over 2 nights, and wished we would have booked for longer! There are 5 large bedrooms - all with amazing ensuite bathrooms, along with 2 smaller bedrooms. Basic toiletries were stocked in most of the bathrooms. There was more than enough room for us 9 adults. The sitting and dining areas are warm and inviting. There is plenty of cutlery for eating in. The house was clean, with enough linens for everyone. Iqbal was quick to answer any questions I had. He was very easy to get a hold of and checked in to make sure our stay was going well!

  • We had our small wedding at this house and everything went off without a hitch. The house is definitely a little dated and could use a thorough cleaning. Obviously there is no way to do an intense clean between every booking, so it seems that the main stuff gets taken care of only (linens, floors, etc.). It would probably be good to have a more in depth clean happen every now and then. When we came in the counters were a little gritty and the bathrooms had clumps of hair/toothpaste in the sink/drains. All in all - the wedding was great and there were no major issues with the house! It was a great stay. The only thing keeping me from giving a full 5/5 is the cleanliness. Iqbal was very quick with his replies and the communication was great!

  • this place is filthy. If you want to entertain then maybe it is ok. i would hire a whole gang of cleaners and scrub the place from top to bottom. If you and a few people want to spend the night then you will fight for the two comfortable bed. All the others are old and the cheapest ones available. You are sleeping on springs. The bathroom fans have never been cleaned they are full of lint and dust. The showers are absolutly filthy and need to be scrubbed and pressure washed with bleach. Faucets are loose and are getting close to falling off. Spindles and mouldings on the stairs and walls are not quite white and somewhat black in the crevices. Stains on walls and carpets. Stove in kitchen has never been cleaned full of grease and grime streaks. dishes and glass wear again was filthy. windows in house something not sure when they were cleaned last. lots of lightbulbs out I were estimate 25 to 3 percent not working. The house is big and has easy access to downtown but the owner should head the reviews and actually clean the place and make it livable again. I have a whole bunch of photos I am not sure how to post them.

  • Bearspaw Mountain Lodge is the perfect place to house a gathering! We stayed here for a bachlorette party and housed comfortably 15 people! Movie theatre and pool table was awesome. Lots of fridges and freezer space. Master bedroom and closet space is insane! Iqbal responded quickly. The house might need a bit of upkeep soon (dings in the walls, broken drawers, a few small stains on carpet) otherwise this place was incredible. Would recommend it to anyone!

  • We had a great stay at the Bearspaw Mountain Lodge! Its great value for a large group. We never met Iqbal but he was responsive to my texts and answered everything quickly. I was inspired by another reviewer and held as murder mystery party, which really fit with the house. We also played hide-and-go seek and sardines (similar to hide-and-go seek) which actually was a little hard in this house because we couldn't find people after a while. The house is absurdly large. I'd highly recommend this to place to anyone!

    The cabin is made of reclaimed materials including reclaimed crosslam, glass and steel. The cabin hangs weightlessly off of the rammed earth wall and commands beautiful views of the valley.
    Rumspringa is a cabin that sits on our 11 acres with a beautiful view of the Okanagan Valley. The cabin is made from all reclaimed materials and features a Queen size bed and a single loft bed. (Please note the loft is not suitable for large adults or people with mobility issues). The cabin is completely off the grid (no electricity or water), allowing you relax and take in the nature outside of your floor to ceiling windows. Herds of deer often walk by early in the morning, and you may even see some big horned mountain sheep. There is an outhouse down by the cabin, and the main house with full bathroom is a short walk away. As there is no heat in the cabin, we will provide extra blankets during the colder months.

  • Makhbool was wonderful to deal with- he answered my questions very quickly before we had booked, and even called to check in during our stay to make sure everything was to our liking. The suite itself is very nice- functional kitchen, TV's in living room and bedroom. Only complaint was the very firm mattress in the bedroom. Air conditioning worked well, and it was an awesome home base for activities just minutes away from Canmore. Would definitely stay here again- great value!

  • The view was so nice, especially when we opened our eyes to see the sunrise above the skyline. We also enjoyed a marvelous breakfast at the Sunterra Market located in the adjacent building. A great little get away and first AirBnb experience. Would absolutely recommend to a friend or stay again when we return to Calgary. Our host was accessible, pleasant and helpful. The apartment was clean and bright just want we were looking for! Nice to have free WiFi and there was even Netflix, if we had time we would have watched a movie and enjoyed the night sky lit up below us.

Located in a condominium 5 MINUTES FROM DOWNTOWN, this place is fully equipped with HIGH-SPEED WIRELESS INTERNET, HD TV and it has recently been fully renovated to accommodate as many as 6 guests. The kitchen is up-to-date, fully equipped with appliances. The living room has a nice L-shape super comfy couch with a 55" Samsung HD screen. Attached, you'll find the bedroom, with a super comfy QUEEN TEMPURPEDIC MATTRESS with its own closet and plenty of space to put all your luggage.   • This is a REALLY great place to stay! If you're planning on bringing five people, just remember to bring some blankets for the air mattress. David and Maya are really professional and have a really well thought out place. We were well taken care of. Theres a bus stop within spitting distance (almost literally) of the apartment. The Wifi was awesome, and we even had a guest Netflix account! XD David and Maya are great communicators. We had every bit of information we needed.   • First time using airbnb and the place was really nice but there were a few details that were omitted. We were not told until after check in and read through the hand book about the camera at their front door. I found that a little disconcerting. This not NOT David and Maya's fault at all but the hallway smelled strongly of pot on more than one occasion. I think though that a heads up about in regards to the massive road work that was going on right in front of the building would have helpful. It made finding the place in the dark, we arrived late at night, a little difficult and I was not expecting to be woken up at 7 am while on vacation by construction noise. Maybe I'm just not an airbnb person and I like my out of town accommodations with a brand name. The place itself was super nice, comfy bed and great shower.

  • Communication with Tina was very prompt, and she was able to accommodate our last minute change in our check out time. I like how she was able to provide straight information with where to get the keys, how to work the comcast and what her expectations were. It is a cute place to stay and right in inner down town Calgary, which was easy to get to places. However, we were saddened that there were no condiments to use with our cooking (oil, salt, pepper, etc ) and the floors felt a little dirty?.... But it wasnt a big issue. Overall, I would stay at this place again when I come to Calgary

  • Tina's condo was in a great location and was clean and bright. It's hard to beat this location nestled between cool coffee shops, record stores and trendy pubs. While we didn't meet Tina, she was quick to respond, and she let us know the stove wasn't working shortly after we arrived, but we didn't intend on cooking with all the great restaurants around. Overall a great place - we would go back.

    The cosy Snug (10ft. by 12 ft.) sits at the waters edge. At night you may be lulled to sleep by the lapping of the waves. You might see beaver, raccoon or deer. Bald headed and golden eagles nest above hiking trails in the pine forest steps away.
    At the waters edge with a private bathroom inside the house , wifi only available outside guest bathroom, canoe, peddle boat, outdoor Pergola with BBQ, small bar fridge (no freezer), 13 minutes from town. There is hiking above the house and 2 provincial parks 15-20 minutes away. Enjoy the lake, listen to the loons, and watch the beavers swim by and the eagles soar above the hills behind us. Pricing is based on one room occupancy for 1-2 people.

  • This is one of those wonderful places that you should visit, whether or not you ever planned on being in Vernon, B.C. We used it as the northern base for our first visit to the Okanagan wine country. It was a true B&B: Alison was a generous and kind host; she and Roger had us at their place for great breakfast and conversation. Loved the look of the Snug but wound up staying in a private suite in the house because it came with kitchen and bath. We took full advantage of the canoe for sightseeing around the lake, and only wish we'd stayed longer.

The snug was cosy and although we didn't make use of the pedal boat / canoe etc, it was great knowing we were free to!   • We had a lovely stay in the snug. As soon as we arrived we felt at home. The room was incredibly clean, there is a microwave and fridge (I especially enjoyed the complimentary beer after a 7hour drive). The bed is really comfy and we slept very well. The breakfast was incredible. Fruit, yoghurt and omelette was a great way to start the day. We really enjoyed Alison and Rogers company over breakfast who are great hosts and very welcoming. It was a shame Heidi couldn't have eaten more due to not feeling well (we think it was altitude sickness from Calgary and the mountains). We wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the lake and we would love to stay again if we are in the area in the future.

Everything was decorated to make you feel like you are in a very special place. Roger, her husband fixed a wonderful breakfast using eggs from their very own chickens. I highly recommend this place.   • The tiny house is amazing. It is just far enough out of town that you feel you have your space but still close enough to everything you need, ski hill, hot springs, and a great local brewery! The beds are super comfy and the loft had an amazing view of the mountains. The surprising number of drawers ensure you have enough storage space. Excellent tiny house for a weekend getaway, and to feel close with your friends and loved ones.

  • The tiny house is amazing! Just like the photos everything was there just in a smaller way. It was enough room for 4 adults and the outdoor space was perfect. The deck is away from the neighbour's side so it was private and yet you didn't feel totally secluded. We enjoyed the area, had a great hike and watched the stars! The home has everything you would need and a lot of charm. We really appreciated the instructions especially the washer/dryer and the Murphy bed ones!

    I designed and built this semi rustic mini cottage as a hobby project 3 years ago. It's 12 x 12 feet with a small sleeping loft. Its simple, basic, and uncluttered. Very peaceful and quiet, tucked away in the trees with a king of the castle view down to Sproule creek. The kitchenette has a mini fridge, toaster oven, 2 burner hotplate, and microwave. Water is supplied by 5 gallon container which sits next to the sink. There's a small table with 2 chairs and a love seat. A radiant space heater keeps it really warm and cozy. The loft is accessed by ladder (not suitable for those who have trouble with ladders) and has a firm double mattress. The bathroom and w/d facility are in a separate building (main residence) 20 meters away from the cabin. The bathroom is large and spacious and is shared with 1 or 2 other airbnb guests who may be renting rooms in the main residence. Cottage guests have 24hr access to the bathroom which is just inside the front door of the main residence. IMPORTANT: Guests must schedule an exact check in time a day before arrival. There is no check in window. I will be scheduling my other activities around your specific arrival time. Weekday check ins are usually after 7:00pm because of my work schedule. IMPORTANT: 1 night bookings are not accepted unless booked WITHIN 3 WEEKS of arrival.
    8 minutes drive west of Nelson. 10 minutes drive to downtown. Quiet neighborhood of hobby farms. 20 minutes to the Whitewater turn off. Red Mountain about an hour away. Sproule creek hiking trail 1 minute up the road. Taghum beach 5 minutes away.

You will be very comfortable is this nicely appointed, family-friendly basement suite located in the inner-city community of Renfrew (borders on the community of Bridgeland). The community is an established area over 100 years old with beautiful tree lined streets and views of the downtown & Deerfoot valley. Easy access to major roads (Deerfoot Trail, 16 Avenue, Memorial Drive), as well as a short 5-10 minute WALK to the Calgary Zoo, Telus Spark Science Center, Zoo LRT station, restaurants, parks & coffee shops. Come enjoy the private one-bedroom basement suite in our home with separate entrance, kitchen, full bath, living room and large windows. The suite has one QUEEN bed and a comfortable pullout double sofabed in the living room. If you are a family of more than 4 and would like to stay, please feel free to ask. There is enough room to have you bring your own single air mattress and set it up in the living room for a fifth person. There is also a professional grade Tornado Foosball table in the living room for your use. The unit has hot water in-floor heating throughout to enhance your comfort. All floors are tile or parquet. PARKING IS ON STREET IN FRONT OF OUR HOUSE! My neighbors ask that my guests park by our house and not in front of their houses. In order to receive their continued support for our Airbnd rental I ask that all guests respect this request. If you end up parking in front of a neighbors house please don't be surprised if I ask you to move your car. Microwave, toaster oven, cooking utensils, pots & pans, Keurig coffee maker and kettle are all in the kitchen for your convenience. Basic coffee/tea supplies provided as well as spare blankets, sheets & towels . Access to laundry facilities, iron & ironing board in the basement laundry room . THERE IS NO TV IN THE SUITE!!! Also I do not provide food/meals for guests! As a guest you need to provide you own personal toiletries (razors, curling iron, etc).     Renfrew is a well established neighborhood located NE of the city's downtown core. We are a 10 min walk to either the Telus Spark Science Center and the Calgary Zoo, two of Calgary's biggest attractions. The city's train system (called the LRT) is located at the Zoo entrance and can take you too all quadrants of the city (fees apply for purchasing tickets). The park which is located across the street from our house used to be part of the Zoo as well way back in the 1950s & 1960s! Today, it is called Tom Campbell's Hill Natural Park. With FANTASTIC views of the city year round & prime views of New Years, Canada Day as well as Stampede fireworks, it is a great place to go for a walk. Just be prepared for lots of dogs because it is also a busy off-leash park. Our community is slowly being revitalized with lots of new residential construction. Go down the hill to the community of Bridgeland/Riverside for a coffee or breakfast as well. See the map on my listing for locations of recommended sights/attractions/food/beverage establishments. For your own safety please do not leave any valuables in your vehicles. We live in a safe area but leaving valuables can attract thieves anywhere. Prevention is the best action to take!

Pretty easy access from freeway off Deerfoot and the Trans Canada Highway. By far, the most affordable place I was able to find in town for two people. And The foosball table was great!

    NO FEES! Situated on the face of Mt Chase, this 100 yr old cabin can accommodate from 1 to 7 people very comfortably. Completely private, surrounded by a peaceful wilderness, you step out of time and back into nature. Please be aware, the cabin is truly in the wilderness. When the solar lights are out in the cabin, the only glow are the stars and your flashlight. The only sounds, your own and the forest. Love of nature & the outdoors required.
    Cabin is nestled on the face of Mt Chase in a completely private, quiet natural space. Completely off the grid, you are engulfed in the simplicity of nature. Lighting is solar and heating is by propane heater. A summer kitchen is set up on the porch for washing and cooking. There are 2 double beds and 3 single beds, 2 private bedrooms -The cabin is lit with solar lights but on the short winter days, power needs to be used wisely. There are also two very bright battery lanterns available. Lights are the only use of electricity. No other devices, though I can provide a battery pack for charging cell phones. -Bedding and lots of kitchen stuff is provided and a little kitchen for cooking and heating water for cleaning is inside -A low flow, gravity water system provides water for washing, showering with a small toilet and sink. The very nice outhouse is also available -My 160 acres and the surrounding crown land provide you with your own private winter wonderland. 2 km of my driveway make a very fun sledding, snowboarding/ski run. Lots of area to explore with snowshoes and cross country skis. Absolutely private, meaning there will be no other humans around. I live at up above at the end of the road and am virtually isolated from cabin and driveway activity.
    The cabin is a 15 minute drive off the Transcanada Highway though you feel as if you have stepped into the middle of nowhere. Completely surrounded by nature and quiet, there are no visible neighbors. A quick trip will take you to many fun and interesting adventures.

We found a route, after a bit of a turn-around, then climbed through Chase and into a secluded (Website hidden by Airbnb) behold this gorgeous cabin. There is an abundance of wild medicinal and edible plants, comfortable amenities, a lovely living room, plus plenty of wildlife from squirrels, to bear, and maybe a mountain lion! It was quiet and a nice rest before out next destination...Thanks!!!!

  • I think the weekend was cursed. Parking ticket was more expensive than the signs said and time was running not as long as we paid for. Finally we got another $50 ticket even though we paid with the App online. Furthermore the toilet was blocked and no plumbers helper around. TV or Netflix as mentioned in the ad didn't work either. Despite of that Annalise was realy friendly and tried to help as good as she could. Moving in and out was simple and the view over the city just amazing.

    My place is close to hiking, tennis courts, golf courses, parks and a 5 minute drive to the beaches and downtown!. Floor to ceiling windows and a beautiful view of the city, lake and mountains!!! We live in a very quiet neighbourhood! We have a large yard with a HEATED pool (open may-sept)and a trampoline! There are 2 bedrooms with queen size beds, we also have 2 modern couches that fold down into beds. My place is good for couples, business travellers, and families (with kids).We live upstairs.
    We have a heated pool!!!! There is a 6 person Hot Tub available for use! Perfect for after a long day of skiiing! Also there is a wood burning fireplace that make the space very cozy in the winter! We also have 2 tennis raquets and badminton raquets available upon request.
    We live in an extremely quite neighbourhood with spectacular views.

  • My friends and I spent our long weekend here for 4 days and 3 nights. The cabin is seriously gorgeous with its supreme location (15mins to golden town, and 20mins to the Kicking Horse mountain resort for skiing and snowboarding). The glass walls let's in beautiful sunshine throughout the day and the view of the trees and streaming river is just out of this world. We cooked dinner in the cabin each night with the fully equipped kitchen. Fresh linen, towels, and comfortable beds were all hotel-grade. There is no cell signal in the area but you can use the landline phone in the cabin. Wifi is also provided. Ryan is extremely helpful and fast in response. He brought a propane tank for the BBQ for us within 30mins after we called! We definitely recommend this place to anyone! & we hope to be back during the summer time to see the different views :) thanks for a memorable weekend Ryan!

  • This place was everything I hoped it would be. The floor to ceiling windows were my favorite part of the house. Really makes you feel like you are out in the open. House is secluded though... So privacy is not an issue. The river is 30 yards away from the back deck. It can be seen from inside the house. The outdoor firepit was pretty awesome to light up at night. The house has internet, cable, and a phone. (We had no cell service). The kitchen had tons if spices for cooking, a few left over ingredients also. No coffee though :( but had the coffee maker. All pots, pan, dishes, etc were there. Oh and the freezer has a ice maker. IMPORTANT: Print the directions and everything Ryan emails you. I thought I'd be fine off (Hidden by Airbnb) s directions via a few screen shots I took on my iPad (remember, no service) well we had to run back to Golden (30 mins) to print the directions Ryan custom made at the holiday inn. I was stressing BIG time that I had got duped and that this house did not exists. WELL IT DOES! And it was an amazing stay!

  • What an exceptional building in a fantastic setting, surrounded by woodland and visited by lots of wildlife, we saw deer every day we were there and Ryan said that bears visit occasionally as well! The house has two proper bedrooms and an extra space under the eaves with two more double beds, all designed in beautifully simple white with grey wood floors. We stayed in the summer so didn't need the wood burner but did make use of the BBQ outside, there's also a fire pit for roasting marshmallows! The property isn't completely on it's own as there is another log cabin that Ryan is currently renovating (Aug 2014), but it has been designed so that no windows from the property overlook the log cabin. Also it's not well signposted from the road, take the first left after the bridge. It's a fantastic building in an incredible setting and we'd love to come back again and bring some friends.

  • This is a great cabin way out in the woods. Quiet and secluded. Great for families, hiking, getting away from the tourists, crowds and traffic. We really enjoyed hiking in the area. The architecture of the cabin is spectacular. The furniture, beds, and amenities are all comfortable and attractive. The appliances are in good condition and easy to use. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the cabin to anyone coming to the area.

Though we never met, he was easy to get a hold of and the place had all of the amenities. highly recommend grabbing groceries before heading over as the store is pretty far away! great spot to get off the grid and relax.

    Incredible value for your money in Canada's Palm Springs playground on the lake. A quiet, clean and quaint heritage artist's house in a village of 1950's bungalows at the base of Knox Mountain only 20 minutes walk away from downtown. No children. No pets. Lovely feeling of stepping into a calmer past with all of imperfections and sense of character that come with a heritage home. You will not find another host with as much experience and as many positive reviews in all of Kelowna.
    Incredible value for your stay. Two twin beds, desk, chest of drawers, fast wifi. Basket of supplies in the room. Toiletries in bathroom. Step in the door and the experience begins. Bright colors, heritage furniture, a book shelf full of self help and spiritual books for your use. Colorful walls are hung with the works of the artist owner. People describe it as "quaint", "a sanctuary" and "adorable". In season, roses line the front yard and the walk way to the house has welcoming lavender on both sides. Artist's house with the owner's art on every wall. All art works are for sale. The character house built in 1946 for returning veterans sits in the peaceful north end neighbourhood beneath the trails of Knox Mountain. Walk or drive the road up Knox to see the vista of Okanagan Lake spread beneath. One trail leads to Paul's Tomb a lovely, secluded swimming hole. The nature trail up Knox Mountain allows for a stunning site to photograph all of Okanagan Lake. Parking available and free directly in front of the house. Very safe and secure neighbourhood. Room is 159.5 square feet. wifi, and use of laundry facilities. Quiet house with no pets or children. Shared use of kitchen. Shared bathroom with adjoining room. Towels and wash cloths provided.     My neighbourhood is a 15 to 20 minute walk away from many restaurants, coffee houses, local shops, an actor's theatre company, walk up Knox Mountain to view the expanse of the lake. The area is quiet, serene and an historical enclave of houses built from 1946 to 1950.

Everything is perfect including the location. She is a helpful and delightful woman with a nice sense of humor. We talked and laughed a lot and now we are good friends. If you are not a native speaker of English and feel anxiety about speaking English, I highly recommend stay at her house. Our room was very comfortable for the two of us and we appreciated the convenient access to the washroom and kitchen while still maintaining our privacy. Fast and reliable Internet access was also greatly appreciated. Cherie was perfect as our host. She was thorough in explaining how things worked in the home and concerned about our well being every step of the way (right down to making sure the shudders were in place so we could sleep-in without the sun bothering us in the morning!). One of the most unexpected surprises of our stay was how warm and friendly Cherie is. We truly enjoyed our long chats in the morning before we started our day.     NO FEES The treehouse is situated on bench, in the middle of a forest, overlooking the Thompson River valley to the mountain across. A five minute walk through the forest takes you to a completely remote and private getaway. Full deck below, cabin above. An appreciation for nature and some experience outdoors an asset. Mosquito and bear spray provided. 15 mins from Chase and a short distance from other fun adventures
    Take a walk into the wild side of British Columbia. A 10 minute walk up through the forest takes you to an unforgettable wilderness accommodation. Completely hidden from the outside world, the treehouse sits in a grove of alpine fir trees, on a mountain bench overlooking the South Thompson River valley. Sun Peaks lies directly through the west window and the gently rolling mountains of the Shuswap through the north window. Upwards, behind you to the east, as you stand on the deck, extends Mt Chase and utter wilderness. Please be aware, the cabin is truly in the wilderness. A complete lack of civilization exists. When the solar lights are out in the treehouse, the only glow are the stars in the sky and possibly your spirits soaring. The only sounds are your own and a possible owl hooting, frog singing or crickets chirping. The treehouse is surrounded by a vast forest, absolutely full of life. -The cabin is lit with solar lights but on the short winter days, power needs to be used wisely. There are also two very bright battery lanterns available. Lights are the only use of electricity. No other devices, though I can provide a battery pack for charging cell phones. -Bedding and lots of kitchen stuff is provided and a little kitchen for cooking and heating water for cleaning is inside -A low flow, gravity water system provides water for washing, showering with a small toilet and sink. The very nice outhouse is also available -My 160 acres and the surrounding crown land provide you with your own private winter wonderland. 2 km of my driveway make a very fun sledding, snowboarding/ski run. Lots of area to explore with snowshoes and cross country skis. Absolutely private, meaning there will be no other humans around. I live at up above at the end of the road and am virtually isolated from cabin and driveway activity. -Butler Rd, which is my driveway is 3 km long and I maintain it quite nicely. A 4 wheel drive can make it up easily and depending on the type of car, can make it up too. Worst case scenario, I can pick up you and your gear and drive it up, leaving your car in a parking area at the bottom of the hill. Bear and mosquito spray are provided. The ability to climb two flights of stairs is a requirement, as well as a keen sense of adventure.
    The treehouse is completely isolated. My 160 acres is surrounded by protected wilderness.

The place and the property are amazing, everything you need for a stay off the grid. The view from the deck with fire pit is great and it is so quiet ! We only stayed for one night on our way back from a trip to the Rockies but wish we would have stayed longer. Marjorie even indicated us an alternative itinerary on our way out to make our stay "more exciting", the pillar formation was indeed something really weird ! But if you are careful and follow the exact instructions given by the host and do not miss any small road, you should be able to find the place easily.   • My husband and I stayed in Diana's beautiful cabin for 5 nights midway through our 2 and a half week camping honeymoon in Southern BC. It was perfect and exactly what we had been hoping for! The cabin itself is beautiful and fully equipped with everything you could need and more. For outdoor activities there are kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and bikes. Having access to these was fantastic for us as we flew to Canada from Ireland for our honeymoon and therefore had no outdoor toys to play with! Rosen Lake, which the cabin sits on, is stunning and the perfect size. (Big enough to enjoy water activities, but small enough that the number of motor boats on the lake is minimal). The balcony was our favourite part of the cabin with outdoor dining area and barbecue, it is the perfect place to take in the beautiful view of the lake both day and night. We will definitely be returning for another week of relaxation in the cabin as it was the highlight of our honeymoon :)

  • My wife and I had the most perfect white Christmas staying at Donna's wonderful cabin in the woods. The place is exactly as it is in the photos, right on the lake and nestled beautifully in the woodland. The cabin has all the necessities you need, and more so. Donna even ensured we had chopped wood for the fireplace. There is electric heating in the place to keep it warm but having a wood fire too really creates that tranquil and idilic setting. We would love to come back and stay here in the summer to take advantage of the lake.

We live right above the suite and we have 2 kids and a dog. You will hear us especially in the morning when we leave to drop off the kids at daycare. And when we let the dog in and out. Dog stays in his kennel or outside mostly. Although our home is fairly new, these are North American drywall and stud construction homes. The builders don't go out of their way to provide soundproofing. So be prepared to hear the family you will be sharing the house with and vice versa :)

    Your room is private, bright and cozy with a very comfortable DOUBLE bed with memory foam mattress, brand new sheets and a down duvet. The room is decorated with photos that Stephanie took during her travels. The closet has hangars, 2 luggage racks and a storage organizer. We provide towels for you to use during your stay, along with a hair dryer and a hair straightener. We also have an assortment of shampoos, conditioners and body wash for you (in the bathroom). Our unique, colourful, friendly home sports a funky living room decorated with photos that Stephanie took during her travels. Our unique kitchen (which you have full use of) is bright and inviting. It includes a dishwasher, oven, Vitamix blender, coffee maker, a wide range of cooking utensils and table/glassware. We redecorated the kitchen with new photos and plants in January 2018. There are 2 bathrooms (both shared with the residents). The upstairs bathroom was redecorated in January 2018. We also have a washer and dryer (which you can use if you ask). Wireless internet is included and parking is always free! EXTRAS: *Free self serve breakfast including cereals, milk, coffee and tea. *Use of condiments-- salt, pepper, ketchup, butter, oil, herbs and spices. The 300 bus goes from the Calgary International Airport to within 3 blocks from our home. Be advised it costs $10.50 per person to go from the airport into Calgary, but only $3.30 per person go to the airport. Taxi usually costs 25$ to the airport.     The neighborhood is quiet with many conveniences nearby. We love how close our neighborhood is to the airport but how easy it is to get downtown. We also love the many neighborhood features including a library, fitness center and pool just a 5 minute walk from our home. There are casual restaurants and take-out foods at a variety of price points, two grocery stores, Starbucks, liquor stores, pubs, pharmacies and banks all within a few minutes walk.

Lovely feeling of stepping into a calmer past with all of imperfections and sense of character that come with a heritage home. No children. You will not find another host with as much experience and as many positive reviews in all of Kelowna.
    Go back in time in this 1946 small houses; to a quiet and calm neighbourhood; to the magic of a time when gardens showed the personality of the owners. Step in the door and the experience begins. Bright color, heritage furniture, a book shelf full of self help and spiritual books for your use. Colorful walls are hung with the works of the artist owner. Ideally situated close to lakeshore with a swimming and sun bathing beach. In winter, a public ice skating out door arena is within 20 minutes walk with a skate rental truck next to it. Enjoy the stars on a night skate. Three minutes walk from bus route which leads to the bus depot, the Orchard Park Mall or transfers to wineries. The Grand Hotel 15 minutes away is the site where a rental bike business can be found that takes tourists on various excursions including a winery tour. There are two rental bike places within a few blocks on Ellis Street. Kelowna's cultural district is a 15 to 20 minute walk away or three minute walk to the bus. Actor's Studio, Kelowna Art Gallery, many coffee shops and restaurants close by. Ski hill shuttle near by. In very quiet neighbourhood.     The North End of the city is a quiet village. It was built from 1946 to 1950 for the returning war veterans. It housed the mostly Italian workers who ran the fruit packing factory, the mill and was a close knit community. Friday the rugs were rolled back and the house with the upright piano became a community dance hall. Children and older people danced with parents. Exhausted children were put to sleep on the stairs and upstairs floors. It was a time of interaction and social closeness.

    Nestled in the heart of the West Kootenays, the converted historic Church offers a unique sanctuary only 25 min from Nelson. Walking distance from town amenities and the Salmo river, the area boasts Hiking, Biking, Skiing, Disc golf and much more.     The Church is one of the lone surviving buildings from the gold rush era fire that destroyed much of the town. Since its restoration, this 110 year old eclectic sanctuary houses a private art gallery that compliments the unique craftsmanship within the building. It has 2 queen size beds 2 Single beds and one queen size pullout bed. The space can comfortably accommodate 4 to 8 people while maintaining its spacious feel due to the high cathedral ceilings.
    We live in the small community of Ymir and enjoy being close to nature. The simple life inspires a peaceful consciousness, and an opportunity to fully appreciate the natural wonders that abound in this area. The fundamentals of community, sustainability and diversity remain intact in Ymir, and endow our town with a unique and vibrant spirit that has attracted many first generation residents from all walks of life to plant roots. Our small town provides all amenities at walking or biking distance. The Bakery Ymir is open Sunday through Wednesday. Always fresh cinnamon buns and fresh baked bread. Pizza by the slice is delicious and one can always order whole pizza's with a little notice. Sundays are my favorite because of the fresh chocolate filled croissants. Our general store/cafe is a hub that provides you with many groceries, odds and ends, and the best coffee in the area. There is always freshly baked goods, a fully stocked deli and a menu with a variety of choices for breakfast or lunch. The Ymir hotel, with its extensive and famed art collection ie(Papanugini), is an unforgettable local watering hole with dinner service and have a open jam on Friday nights. The proprietor will happily give you a tour of the old building and its art. The Ymir community hall and the Old Ymir School House often host live music and dances.

  • The guest house was even better than hoped. Flanked by a lovely forest in the back, with an upper view of the little town of Ymir, it was a truly lovely visit. Robyn and family made sure to have every amenity possible available. It was spotless, fresh and filled with art to view at every turn. The kitchen, living area, bathroom & bedrooms were all artfully decorated and comfortable for all to enjoy. Be sure to order daughter Skye's baked goods...we had the blueberry pie and butter tarts - YUM! A realty delightful experienced and would go again in a heartbeat!

Tasha is the dog that is on site she is a wonderful dog we enjoyed her company too. Although the house is very big the kitchen is not so keep this in mind if you will be preparing meals for a large group.

  • The house needs a deep clean. Broken glass around the hot tub, dirty kitchen (dishes left in sink) and there’s a dog that stays at the property...heads up! This house is huge, has a great pub like area in the basement with a full bar, pool/ping pong table, pub tables and lots of tvs. Theatre room is awesome (once you figure out how to get a movie to play!) Beds are not as listed. Two single beds are actually kid sized bunk beds. The room with 3 singles has no window and the mattresses are just on the floor. 1 double bed is actually a chaise lounger and the other is s dirty futon. Kitchen is well stocked with plates etc, pots and pans but they have seen better days. Location is great, quiet and secluded but still close to Edmonton. Good for large groups, but be aware the house needs some love!

Exactly as described...high end furnishings and finish. Right out the patio doors to access so much Kelowna has to offer via a short walk. We will return...this time with a boat! Yes boat moorage outside your door! Not sure if this costs more but cool all the same.

    Our rustic log cabin in the middle of the majestic British Columbia Rocky Mountains will make you feel right at home. You'll love your stay here with our stone fireplace, beautiful mountain views, and authentic log cabin feel. My place is good for couples and families with kids and big groups. This all gets better with a fire-pit by the cabin to hangout around it with friends. :) Due to the remote nature of our cabin, WiFi is spotty and strongest near the head office.
    The loft is on the top floor and has a queen, two twin beds and a washroom. The bottom floor has a kitchen, bedroom (with a queen), bathroom, and a living room with a pull out sofa.
    We're located 20 minutes from Golden, BC and out in the majestic wildnerness. All the cabins are surrounded by beautiful mountains and a creek flows to the side.   • It’s beautiful out there and our cabin was amazing. Unfortunately the one we stayed in was not the one pictured. The profile shows a fire pit out front and a wood burning fireplace inside. Both must have been another cabin because we didn’t have either, which disappointed us as we’d planned to use both. Also, the pictured cabin is open to the woods on at least one side, but we were actually sandwiched between other units... surrounded completely, on all sides in fact, views obstructed by other buildings, all very close. It’s one thing to get a photo with a tricky angle, or deceptive lighting. These photos weren’t just misleading... they were of a totally different cabin. It was intentional and it wasn’t what we paid for. It’s too bad... the deception left a sour taste in our mouths. We won’t come back.

  • When you set out on a holiday to the mountains for hiking or skiing, nothing feels more right than coming home to a chalet. Coming back to the chalet was perfect. We had cooler weather and setting the fireplace on and kicking back after a day outside was the right tonic. Loved the morning light looking out to the mountains and taking an afternoon spa at the end of the day to repair those tired muscles.

Tina was always quick to communicate with any question or comment we had. Provided WiFi was not good but we had great cell phone reception. I would not depend on the WiFi.
