A cozy cottage behind a lovely Victorian house. It has a 3/4 bath (shower). The cottage has a brick patio and a large trellis covered with roses and grape vines set in an English Garden. Also, see our equally nice "Victorian in the Heart of Ballard" rental: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/20928
A cozy cottage behind a lovely Victorian house with separate access and a 3/4 (meaning shower but no bathtub) bathroom. The cottage has a brick patio and a large trellis on the south side covered with roses, grape vines, and wisteria and is surrounded by an English Garden. The pictures posted should give you the right idea. (Alternative accommodation: We also have a really lovely rental space in the main house. See: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/20928 ) The cottage: there is a microwave, a small fridge, and an electric kettle for making coffee or tea. It offers considerable privacy if that is desired. The bed is queen-sized. Extra high-speed WiFi is also provided along with cable TV, including all of the premium channels. It is also possible to close some giant wood-paneled pocket doors if you want to divide the studio into a bedroom and sitting room, if case someone wants to sleep and someone else does not. The cottage is used as a studio by Liz (who is the English gardener) when it is not being used as a guest house. So there is a lot of (really excellent) art, mostly studies in the human form, on the walls and shelves. (If you would like a cast of one of the statues, talk to Liz.) The Ballard Neighborhood is a great place to visit: *10 minute walk to downtown Ballard with fabulous bars and restaurants, great Sunday farmers market, nice three-screen cinema, and much more. *5 minute walk to the Ballard Locks, where ships enter and exit Puget Sound from Seattle waterways. *10 minute drive to downtown Seattle. Buses also run regularly downtown from close by - either to downtown Seattle or to the University District and elsewhere. Evenings are very quiet here and the air quality is unusually good for a city. We get a fresh sea breeze off of Puget Sound in the early evening. Guests find the cottage a calming and refreshing refuge from the bustle of the city.
Ballard is a fantastic destination neighborhood for restaurants and bars and music. We are an easy walk (5-10 minutes) from downtown Ballard. Great breakfast places even closer.
  • The cottage is great, and Brad and Liz were lovely! We loved staying there, surrounded by Liz's art. It was very comfy - we only wished we had more time to just enjoy the cottage and the beautiful gardens! We enjoyed downtown Ballard and the locks as well. It's a really neat part of the city. We would definitely go back (and stay here).

  • Everything we hoped for. Nice, clean private space in a great neighborhood. Brad & Liz were super-nice, friendly and respectful. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

  • My husband and I stayed in Brad and Liz's artists cottage for two nights, and it was great! The cottage is charming and we had everything we needed. It was fun to explore Ballard, and the neighborhood was great for running, with a path by the water just a few blocks away. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Walrus and the Carpenter as well!

    Lily2013-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our first trip to Seattle was beautiful thanks to these two hosts! Warmth and hospitality is what we were greeted with and shown our entire stay! Loved the cottage! It was a warm & cozy place for us to return to after exploring the city! Will be recommending their place to friends and family who travel to Seattle!

  • Brad and Liz's backyard art studio & cottage is a wonderful place to stay in Ballard. They were very welcoming and full of suggestions for great restaurants. The cottage is within easy walking distance of many options for food and entertainment, as well as bus routes, so we could have left our car parked for the weekend and not even worried about driving. It was clean and cozy and had a very comfortable futon. A bonus for us was getting to hang out with their lovely cat, Jasper. What a sweetheart! We'd definitely love to stay here again.

    Melanie And Kyle2014-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Brad and Liz's cottage was perfect. The artwork all around our room was simply moving. Brad gave us some good pointers on the hip spots downtown and was great conversation. These guys were great hosts and would definitely recommend staying here!

    Savannah2015-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! - Brad and Liz were great! - The bed/futon was very comfortable - The area, Ballard, is a lovely area that is a lot more relaxed than downtown (but not that far away) - There is a great supermarket close, making eating a lot cheaper - The space in general is pretty great, loadsa art everywhere, far more interesting than your average accommodation. - Solid (but not amazingly fast) internet - They have 2 lovely cats that love to keep you company! I had a great stay in the cottage, highly recommended.

  • This is a lovely little cottage only a couple of blocks away from happening Broadway in Capitol Hill. The Cottage is very well stocked, having everything you would need and more. I loved the robes! Such a nice spot and you can even see the space needle if you walk to the end of the street. Erik was a great host, giving us a helpful rundown of the area and he has stocked the cottage with plenty of helpful Seattle literature. Can't wait to go back!

  • This place is in the perfect location for seeing all Seattle has to offer. Many local (within .2-.6 miles) spots to hang out and grab wonderful food/drink. This Cozy cottage was the best place to come home to after a dreary and cold Seattle day- the hosts also have a book of their favorite food spots, we tried a few and they did not disappoint!

    Piper2016-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful cottage in a beautiful green courtyard. The unit was super clean well decorated and have lots of great books. They had a great selection of restaurant recommendations and things to do in the area. The design details were homey with a mid century modern touch with the GN bubble lamp in the corner.

    Gordon2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • This petite place was a warm and intimate bright spot in a lovely wooded North Capitol Hill enclave. I had lived in various parts of Capitol Hill and so was unexcited to discover my California born partner had booked this place without my input. "It's a little out of the way compared to other places in CH" I muttered. I need to trust more, I guess, because this place was lovely inside and out, and only a 10 minute walk to the best of Pike/Pine corridor and Broadway/Roy area. Upon arrival, varied and interesting "hedgeings" are well manicured and give a secluded feel to the quaint little cottage. The place itself is well laid out and delightfully "Ikea-ized" in using ingenious and eye appealing storage. (Especially the ample below counter-top fridge) A sweet fireplace with a Victorian mantle, a pile of books and a mounted stag head add to the Northwest charm. What really grabbed my heart were the details and finishes - thick ceramic coffee mugs, Pike Place Roast coffee, an over head rack with non toxic pans, I could go on...oh, and lush white terry cloth robes! It was so cold and rainy and dark during our stay, yet each night we came back to a cozy home that also felt quintessentially Capitol Hill hip. Thank you for the lovely stay...

    Keith2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy and quiet little garden cottage. We felt really comfortable and it was perfect for our stay. Eric made is feel very welcome. The location is great and you are only a couple of minutes away from the center (driving). We loved also that we had a parking spot right in the front, that makes is always so much easier.

    Ann-Kristin2016-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay! Everything was set up so perfectly, we never had any reason to call the hosts for help with anything. We felt very comfortable here. We loved that it's a nice, quiet area, but still a quick car ride into areas like pike st.

    Joey2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is my second time staying at Erik & Pamela's cottage. It has everything you could need for a business trip, or for a worry-free vacation. This time I stayed there during a very warm weekend in Seattle, but the cottage was cool and comfortable thanks to the ceiling fan and a window AC unit. Would recommend!

    Stephanie2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • The garden cottage is the perfect place to unwind after a busy day in Seattle. I stayed here while traveling for business; it was quiet, peaceful, and relaxing to have my own space. Will definitely try to stay here for my next business or personal trip to Seattle.

The loft was stocked with everything we could have needed or wanted, up to date features and a unique artistic feel. The hot tub in the garden setting was also such a treat. Malcolm was extremely kind and gave us great suggestions for places to check out while in the city. This was the best place we could have landed in Seattle!

  • We had a great stay at Malcolm's loft! Everything was as described and the space worked out great for us. It had everything we needed and could have wanted from the full kitchen, a deck with a hot tub and felt very spacious with the high ceilings. It was also in a great location near the highway making it easy for us to get wherever we wanted to go. We would definitely recommend staying and hope we get a chance to again soon!

Tipsy is a 180 square foot (including the loft) tiny house located in the heart of West Seattle, minutes away from restaurants, bars, coffee shops, boutiques, grocery stores, Sunday Farmer’s Market, etc. The tiny house is also located to the famous Alki Beach and Lincoln Park. Downtown Seattle is a quick drive/bus/water taxi away (we highly recommend the water taxi). A note to all future guests: Please ensure you understand our strict cancellation policy before booking as we follow it closely.
Tipsy the Tiny House offers a unique experience while you explore the city of Seattle. It was built by your hosts, Chad and Lindsay, who obsessed over every detail. Chad is a licensed architect and general contractor in Seattle. Some highlights of the tiny house: -Cladded in reclaimed wood, giving it a rustic/modern aesthetic. -Metal roof (great for listening to the rain!) -Electric fireplace with modern display and lots of heat! -Queen bed with 4 pillows and extra blankets in the closet -Surround sound stereo -Smart TV (Netflix, Hulu, and a variety of DVDs) -Two large skylights -Bathroom includes a fully-enclosed shower (we provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash), a fully plumbed toilet (not compost), a sink. -The kitchen includes a compact fridge, induction stove (we provide induction pots and pans), Keurig coffee maker and K-cup coffees, kettle, plates, cups, mugs, wine glasses, eating and cooking utensils, etc. -Luggage storage above the front door as well as closet space and dresser drawer space. -Very private outdoor space includes personal parking spot, picnic table with umbrella, and two chairs at the entrance. A couple other things to note: -Three people is the max allowed in the tiny house. The bed in the loft is accessed by a ladder, and the sofa is 2’ x 6’ -The tiny house is located behind our home and accessed from a quintessential Pacific Northwest alleyway. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet.
The West Seattle neighborhood is a favorite of Seattlites--known for its friendly people, stellar views, excellent restaurants and bars, and most famously, Alki Beach.
  • Our stay at Tipsy the Tiny house was more than we expected. The interior was thoughtfully designed, surprisingly spacious, and incredibly functional. Our stay in Seattle was made much more memorable by staying here. Thank you Chad and Lindsay for letting us stay in such an extraordinary home!

    David2018-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Tipsy the tiny home was great. Having never stayed in a tiny home I was skeptical on the comfort of one. The space is great and comfortable. Easy directions and access to the space as well. I would recommend this to any of my friends.

    Ruben2018-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very unique and an absolutely fantastic place to stay! The house has a rustic charm and is built extremely well, has all the amenities you'd need, including a kitchen space fully stocked with dishes, utensils, and silverware. The location is great, close to stores with essentials and a very easy and short drive to downtown Seattle and the I-5 (if driving is your thing). The check-in and entry process was very simple and straightforward, and the hosts are extremely responsive and were very helpful with local advice.

    Dmytro2016-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Host was very responsive to any questions we had. The place was absolutely gorgeous and you could really tell they put a lot of effort into making it an excellent place to stay. I'll definitely be coming back with my girlfriend when we visit Seattle together.

    James2017-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • As a tiny house enthusiast- I was over the moon to spend my fist night in one after many hgtv shows and YouTube videos on how to build my own. Tipsy does not disappoint. Every book and cranny has been thoughtfully designed by the power couple owners. I've also never seen anyone as equally fast as me to reply on Airbnb but these hosts are lightening fast responders which is SO helpful when you're trying to book and play your next few days. It was an absolute joy to stay in the tiny. And it solidified that I want to build one of my own and I hope to include some of their brilliant ideas in my own one day! Stay here, if you find a date open. It's my best Airbnb stay to date!!

    Angel2017-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing space in a quiet part of the city. Would definitely recommend staying here!

    Shonisee2018-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • If you want the tiny house experience, this is it! When you drive up, you realize this really is tiny. It's cozy and cute, and both rustic and modern. We loved it!

    Stephanie2018-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Tipsy is a great place to hibernate for a great city break! Welcoming and cozy, ensures you stay warm during the great nights you spend inside it. On the mornings you get woken up by the bright light that comes through as a new day dawns, no alarm clock needed! Would definitely recommend visiting! Would love to be back.

Conveniently located near the Island's village & Seattle ferry, this 200sq ft architecturally-designed, eco-friendly backyard guesthouse is the perfect getaway. Ride into town on the bikes, enjoy the hot tub, garden patio and fire-pit. ***Ask us about adding a sailing excursion to your stay!
This is a 200 sq ft guesthouse sharing the property with our main house. *As you can see in the images it is located next to the main house in the backyard. It has it's own bathroom and shower, and mini kitchen - a coffee maker with complementary coffee and tea selection. You'll find a delightful patio garden with a fire-pit and gas grill and hot tub on the grounds. It has it's own bathroom and shower. Like the unit the hot water heater is small so short showers (6 mins) are recommended (unless you like them cold). If you like long showers this is probably not the place for you. If the water begins to lose heat, it only takes about 30min to recharge. A mini-fridge, microwave, electric tea kettle and coffee maker complete the mini kitchen. The studio is flooded with natural light and a full suite of blinds on lower windows provides complete privacy. We also have a single camping cot and pack-n-play available upon request for additional guests beyond 2. Linens provided. Just keep in mind that the space gets pretty tight when it is in there.
Our Island guesthouse is a 15 minute walk from the Seattle ferry, a 25 minute walk to the quaint village of Bainbridge Island (sometimes referred to as Winslow) and only a 5 minute walk, through the back of our neighborhood, to our up-town shopping area: Ace Hardware, McDonalds, Walgreens, Safeway, Family Restaurants & of course a Starbucks. In a car or on a bike, it's all moments away. The neighborhood is full of kind, working families and it's quiet. The place has a unique blend of being close in, while feeling a bit further out.
  • Relaxing simplicity! We had a wonderful stay in this sweet little backyard cottage. We walked into town for dinner (a 20 minute stroll) and came home to this sweet little spot for the night. Loved taking a soak in the tub and watching the chickens in the backyard. Highly recommended!

    Susan2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful and cleverly designed "little house." Because i is little there is very little space to spread out and no really comfortable furniture for hanging out, though there are some chairs on the deck outside.

  • Ben and Deb are the sweetest! We arrived and they welcomed us very warmly with lots of information about the island, etc. It's just the right size and the styling is impeccable! We felt very much at home!

    Kathryn2016-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and accommodating family. Ben was very helpful in making us feel comfortable and suggested great routes to shorten walking time as well as good places to eat and things to do. Thank you!

    Erica2016-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Deb and Ben were so nice and very helpful getting us setup. The tiny house was awesome! Definitely one of the best I've stayed in so far. The ferry isn't too far either which drops you off really close to downtown Seattle which made commuting there for a few days a breeze. Overall a wonderful experience!

Comfortable Studio Apartement with private entrance and patio one block away from beautiful walks or bike rides along the canal to central Fremont and beyond. Plenty of restaurants, coffeeshops etc. in walking distance. Very easy to get around town from here..
Enjoy peekaboo-views of ships passing by. On sunny days you can see the Olympic Mountains. The Studio is comfortable for 2 people (up to 3 possible by prior arrangement). - full kitchen with gas range, convection oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, dishes etc. . - charcoal grill - bamboo flooring with hydronic floor heat - full bath with big tub - queen size bed, seven foot couch - on street parking - good southwest/ afternoon light - furnished with unique pieces, vintage and handcrafted items. We enjoyed creating a space that we would love to stay in. Please notice that we ( me, my husband and our 8 year old son) live upstairs and kids like to move around. There is sound insulation between the floors and there is another floor above us with a big space to move around for my son and his friends if the weather is bad. So you will hear us some.
Located: - very close to the Burke Gilman Trail - 30 min. walk from central Ballard or the Zoo - 5 min. walk to Ross Park (neighborhood kid's playground) - 10 min. walk from major retailer/ grocery Fremont is a popular neighborhood with plenty of good restaurants, bars, coffeeshops, boutiques and a great healthfoodstore. Fremont Sunday Market and Ballard Farmers Market are highlites in Seattle.
  • We absolutely loved our stay at the Fremont Urban Oasis with Manuela! She is so kind, and clearly put a lot of thought, time, and love into this home-away-from-home. Fremont is such a lovely neighborhood, and it was nice to be so close to downtown Seattle, yet finding such a homey place to stay outside of the city. This place truly is an urban oasis, and I would stay here again if I find myself in Seattle. The garden is beautiful, and they have put so much though into making this apartment feel like a home.

    Jen2014-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Manuela was a fantastic host. The space itself was great, clean, and cozy. It was nice having her right above us. It made check in and check out extremely easy. I would recommend Manuela's Urban Oasis to anyone!

    Rachel2016-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place is adorable and very homey! As an added bonus, it's about a 5 minute walk to shops in "dowtown" Fremont and a 25 minute walk to Ballard. The bus stop is also on the corner, which is great for exploring the greater Seattle area. Manuela was completely accommodating as a host. We were greeted with a Fremont Brewery beer in the fridge, local coffee, and a list of her favorite nearby spots (try the Carpenter and the Whale for upscale dining, but beware it shares a building with another restaurant, Chippy's, which can easily be mistaken but also has a great happy hour). The apartment is situated under her family's house, but you can't even tell they're there save the occasional light footstep. We were told they are unable to hear anything that happens in the apartment, and we do keep later hours and listen to music at night, so this was proven to be true. Though we were out and about for most of our vacation, Manuela seems very open to questions, concerns, etc. We did stay over Thanksgiving and requested to stay a little later because our flight was at night, and she was completely open and gracious about our request. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended!

  • Cute place, just the right size for a short stay. Good Coffee, cream and sugar provided! Walking distance to lots of restaurants, bars, and shopping. Uber was really easy to catch as well. Bed was comfy, good shower, overall a great experience.

New cottage, cabin-like, in the heart of Seattle. Close to bus line, cruise ships, shops, restaurants, waterfront, parks, bike paths, stadiums, Space Needle. Our cottage offers a kitchen, w/d and queen bed among other amenities. Built green.
Spacious studio with 12 foot ceiling, barn door hardware, functional kitchen with granite countertops and recycled old growth pine used on interior walls of room.
Magnolia is an ideal location - close to downtown Seattle (1.4 miles), the Space Needle (2 miles), the Waterfront (1.6 miles) and 1/2 mile to the Cruise Ships. Magnolia Village offers a variety of cafes, shops and restaurants. We are also located by the bike path along the Waterfront and Pike Place Market.
  • Loved staying in this adorable cottage! So convient to where we explored around Seattle. Would definitely come back if we head to Seattle again. Thanks Dan & Kathy! - Sherry & Guy, Houston, Texas

    Sherry2016-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy and Dan were excellent hosts ! We arrived pretty late but because of great communication we were able to find the lovely cottage right away and get settled quickly. Defiantly recommend this place !

    Tanya2017-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin just a short distance ( within walking if you like walking) to downtown Seattle and sights. The cabin is as described and spotlessly clean and well provided for , I wanted for nothing. Very comfortable bed. Local knowledge is the key to all the best spots in any city in the world, and Dan was most helpful in regard to same. Everything about Dan and Kathy's Airbnb was fantastic, I will be spreading the word to my fellow cruise travellers as the cabin is only a short walk to the cruise passenger terminals and a great location to spend a few days pre or post cruise.

    Margaret2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at the cottage was an AMAZING decision. It was affordable, and made our trip to Seattle before our cruise more than a waiting period. It is right on a bus line to downtown (no transfers, very easy, and $2.50 each). The cottage was VERY clean and had a fridge, microwave, and oven/stove. Very cool if you want to buy and cook a fish from Pike Place. I could go on and on but I'll just end the review with a recommendation: if you're thinking of staying here, DO IT.

    Lauren2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect spot to stay. You can see the city lights from the windows and even get a glimpse of the space needle. The cottage is within a short distance from downtown and was a quiet and comfortable place to stay. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

    Erin2017-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was in a great location, with the bus line nearby. I loved everything about the place--the comfy bed, amazing full kitchen, and amenities provided. The hosts were very helpful before we even arrived in Seattle! I would definitely recommend this place to others!

  • Kathy and Dan are amazing hosts! They are extremely helpful and very friendly. Their little cottage is so unique and lovely and the bed is so comfortable we had a great night sleep.

Our Little House is easy walking distance from some of Seattle's best coffee, restaurants, markets and retail stores. The house, formerly a garage, was completely renovated in 2013. It sits behind our main house and includes shared access to a courtyard, outdoor seating and a BBQ grill.
The house is 363 square feet and contains a sleeping loft accessed by a ship style ladder. Guests access the house through a separate gate at the end of our driveway, which opens into the courtyard. The house is quiet and comfortable complete with a kitchen, small fridge, living area and bathroom. The queen sized bed is new as of September 2016. When Benjamin was 9, he vacationed with his family in a loft style cabin. His love of lofts started and grew from there. Originally built as a guest house for family and friends and used as an occasional home office, we decided to open it up to travelers who want to visit Seattle and in particular our community of Ballard.
Ballard is a popular Seattle neighborhood with a rich Scandinavian heritage and history as a "sleepy fishing village." Ballard isn't sleepy anymore. Our neighborhood is hopping with retail, nightlife and great restaurants. Independent shops including two record and CD stores, an independent bookstore and many non-chain restaurants and retail stores. We have easy access to the Metro bus just one block away from our place. A short 15 minute ride by car or bus puts you downtown near the WA state ferries, Pike's market, the Space Needle and Seattle Center. Golden Gardens (one of our favs) is two miles away and has a beach including views of the Olympic mountains and the Puget Sound. Our Airbnb guidebook has recommendations for many of our top places. If you are looking for something not covered in the guidebook, let us know and we will do our best to point you in the right direction.
  • Benjamin greeted us when we arrived and made us feel welcome. The little house was exactly like the pictures, super cozy and unique with the loft area and had all the amenities that we needed for our two night stay in Seattle. This place was close to some of Seattle's classic attractions that we were there to see such as Pike Place Market and the Fremont Troll (within close driving distance). I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Seattle!

    Megan2016-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying at Benjamin's place. It was the perfect setup for us with all the basics covered. There was plenty of natural light with all the windows and doors, but should we need privacy, there we're blinds on every window and door. The skylight above the bed was such a neat addition to watch the stars (or rain/snow!) at night. The only thing I would note as something to keep in mind is that the toilet is in the shower area, so if someone else is taking a shower, you need to wait until they're done to use the toilet (and then walk across a wet floor). Also, the water heater lasted about 5 minutes for us, so one of us would take a shower and then wait for the water to heat up again and then take a shower. I would say that that was the only "surprise" but overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and it was great for us! Would definitely stay again!

  • Benjamin's little house is a lovely quaint area. It has pretty much everything you need, although don't forget a laptop/iPad if you want to watch some tv while you're there, as they don't have a tv. Other than that the space is very comfortable and is easy for you to make yourself at home. They've got all necessities for cooking and beverage making. The bed was nice and cosy. Ben was quite friendly, he greeted us out the front and showed us through to the space. We had a. Great time staying at this place. it was just around the corner from a bus stop that took you into the city centre which was really convenient. There was also lots of restaurants and shops a 5 min walk away.

    Caitlin2016-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place is as advertised! Great location, plenty of food and coffee options within walking distance. It was our first time to Seattle and Benjamin's place offered a cozy place to come home to after a full day of adventure. He is easy to communicate with and goes out of his way to make sure your stay is excellent. We highly suggest this property to anyone visiting the Seattle area especially those who have never had a tiny home experience!

    Ann-Christin2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • A block or two from the heart of Ballard, "Little House" has excellent amenities including a much appreciated Keurig! And an outstanding French patisserie just one block away -- lines out the door. 5 stars all around, from cleanliness to efficiciency to privacy, comfortably removed a block from the main streets. Thanks so much!

Large private room with private bath separate from the upstairs living space. Private parking, laundry, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, TV, Netflix, & DVD. Near park, close to Airport, city bus route : ).
Spacious apartment style room with couches, bed, table, chairs, and dresser. This space includes basic accommodations (toilet/shower, internet, and TV). This space also includes extras (a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker).
Our home is located on the outskirts of the Seattle city limits (near airport). You can catch the direct bus downtown about a block from our location : ). This is ideal for those interested in sightseeing downtown or visiting awhile.

  • Anya and Andrew are amazing hosts with great hospitality and a beautiful home. They are very welcoming and considerate based on your necessary needs. The room is very spacious and has more amenities than a high end hotel. The home is a short 15 minute drive to all the popular tourist destinations of downtown Seattle. I can't wait to come back and stay here again the next time I'm in town.

  • Great place to stay at, exactly as describe..would recommend

    Natalie 2016-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot gush enough about how central Anya & Andrew's location is. We were about fifteen minutes from downtown and within miles of a major highway to get us along anywhere. Also, because we were staying in our own private floor, it was always quiet and a joy to come back to -to rest and relax. Everything was clean and prepped for our stay. And, checking in and out was a breeze. I would definitely stay with these two again.

    Mal2016-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely 3 nights. The apartment was spacious and private. We went out for daily adventures and were able to stretch out and relax at ‘home’.

  • Fern's place was very clean and tidy. The proximity to getting downtown to the ballgame was great. Loren was helpful in directing us in an alternate route due to high traffic. The only downer was not having any sort of glass to enjoy a glass of wine when we got back from the baseball game.

    Anita2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Loren and Fern's place is an unforgettable experience. Although I arrived at house pretty late and not familiar with the door control, Loren & Fern still kindly provide help to us. The room is neat, equipped and as exactly as they describe in the instruction and photos. Besides, from the classic posters and paintings on the wall, you can see their great taste of art, as well as their attitude towards the rooms for the guests: instead of a place which can make profit for them, it is a part of home they live in; they try to make guests feel like living at home and they really did a great job! Also, unforgettably, they have the chair of "Joey and Chandler" style !!!! It cannot be more great sitting in that chairs and watching the Friends. No doubt, for the next time I stay in Seattle, Loren and Fern is my first choice.

    Chan2016-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was perfect. The house is great. Clean and tidy. Good neighborhood. Easy check-in. Very responsive host. Only one bad thing: bed was uncomfortable and so were the mattresses in the main bedroom.

  • Fern’s place is so cozy and clean! Probably the best Airbnb ever....been to many around different states and city this is by far the cleanest, warm, welcoming . they hav many bottled waters cold or room temp. Big fridge to stock up on groceries shopping needs and a big tv filled with all sorts is entertainment during the relaxing late times. Sleeping has the best beds firm and warm feeling u can feel the best blankets and care when ur sleeping!

    Geena2018-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and very friendly and helpful hosts!

    Rory2018-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our family visited Seattle and needed a shared space with two separate bedrooms and separate bathrooms. Fern's accommodations were perfect for our family situation, with private bedrooms each with their own bathrooms that were fresh, clean, and comfortable. I appreciated the microwave, fridge, and shared living room with plenty of seating (and a third bathroom). The space was super clean, very quiet, and convenient to the city. Local grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping are nearby. The entrance is private (through the garage), and parking is easy (in the private driveway just outside the garage door). This is a nice option for a family that wants an affordable, clean, and convenient place to stay near Seattle.

A private mini home just for you! Enjoy your own private deck and hot tub while staying in trendy Ballard. Way better than a hotel...you’ll feel right at home!
Enjoy your own private mini-home while exploring Seattle. Conveniently located just blocks from downtown Ballard and an easy 15 minute bus ride from downtown, this quaint yet roomy space is perfect for out of town guests and vacationers. The 250 square foot space enjoys its own deck space and a brand new hot tub. French doors open to a private outdoor sitting area just for you. It has a mini kitchen with a 2-burner stove with a mini fridge, microwave, sink and kitchen essentials. This includes cooking supplies like pans, plates, oil, salt and pepper etc. We also have a Keirig Coffee Maker with a generous supply of K-Cups, light snacks and other thoughtful touches. The bath includes a shower with on-demand water and a supply of toiletries and towels for your use. There is a storage closet in the bath for clothes and extra linens. If you are staying longer than three days, I will provide fresh towels and linens for you upon request. The bedroom loft is cozy and features a double size bed. The ladder up to the loft is custom-made to retract from the wall for easy access. When it is not in use, it slides flush to the wall to allow for more room in the living space. The space is "cozy" so if you are tall or have issues with smaller spaces the loft sleeping area may not be the right fit. You must be able to climb a short ladder to get up and down so please be mindful of this when booking. There is a couch which allows for an extra person to sleep in the unit if you wish. There is a blow up Twin bed in the ottoman in sitting area. I also have a portable crib that you are welcome to use. Just let me know. I'm pretty strict about maxing out at 3 guests. Children under 8 are not allowed in the loft area for safety-sake. This rental Includes cable tv with HBO and other fun channels as well as access to wireless Internet. The overall look and feel of the space is what I call, "Modern Nautical". Ballard is an old fishing town that has become the culinary hot spot of Seattle. The colors and lighting fixtures give homage to Ballard's history. There is plenty of free off-street parking and access to one of the best neighborhoods in Seattle is just a short walk away! There are quite a few quick service/family run (no chains) restaurants within a block from the house along with a great fruit stand and espresso shop. Grocery and drug stores are within 5-7 blocks away. The bus stop to a main arterial is a 1/2 block away. A great bakery is only 2 blocks away. This is a great location for those of you vacationing without a rental car. Pretty much anything you need is less than a 10-15 minute walk away. Even if you have a rental car, you can leave it parked and just explore all the fun stuff in Ballard! We look forward to meeting you! -Errin & Olivia
Ballard is a great neighborhood with tons of bars and little restaurants. Just ask me and I'm happy to share some of my faves.
  • This house was great! It was private, cozy, and very close to so much! We were there visiting our daughter, who lives less than a mile from the house. Ballard is a really cool neighborhood, and we found several restaurants and a very nice grocery store within walking distance. Erinn was wonderful...she has made this house a true gem, and we hope to stay there again on our next trip out. The best part was being able to see the mountain from the patio! I was so excited by that! Climbing the ladder to the sleeping area made me feel like a kid in a treehouse. :) The only "problem" was that the bed wasn't as comfortable as our own...but we run into that a lot. Erinn's restaurant, Veraci Pizza, was really good. The pizza was just like my husband likes it, woodfired with a thin crust. We will be sure to visit there again, too! Thanks, Erinn, for a lovely home away from home.

    Theresa2013-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Errin's place was wonderful! Can't beat the location in Ballard...everything is within walking distance. The hot tub/mini kitchen were an added bonus. We had a great experience and would definitely stay again!

    Andrea2018-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • The location is perfect!!! It was quiet and right near everything!! The bed was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever stayed in next to my own!! The hot tub was a plus !! and she even had coffee and snacks for us!!! i will probably stay here again when I come back to seattle!

    Janine2018-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • Overall great experience. Everything we needed was provided and more. Location was a short (i.e. 5-10 min) drive to downtown Ballard and the Locks. Don't hesitate to consider booking with Errin.

    Mel2013-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • This accommodation out far exceeded our expectations. It was quant and absolutely perfect for a couple and a romantic weekend getaway! Erinn was extremely accommodating and the neighborhood was located perfectly outside of the downtown hustle and bustle. Equipped with a mini kitchen, we were able to get our own fish from Pikes Place Market and have a fantastic dinner in our home away from home. Staying at the mini home provided so many comforts and an absolutely wonderful & memorable experience. I recommend this stay to any couple looking for an intimate getaway.

    Katie2015-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Would stay here again! Unique, functional, and clean. Errin is a great host, she really has thought of everything.

  • My daughter and I were very happy in your mini-home. We had everything we needed. The place was clean and tidy. We loved the neighborhood and easy walk to downtown Ballard. Having the supply of coffee for our morning fix was an added perk. Thank you so much.

  • A wonderful place to stay. The place is very clean and very convenient from the airport and into downtown. Communication from the host was commendable. The time spent by the host to provide a plethora of information, guides, maps and amenities is above and beyond! I would love to return to Seattle and I would love to stay here.

  • After staying at the studio, my boyfriend and I didn't want to leave! Not only was it squeaky clean but it was also in such a convenient location. There are great bars and restaurants practically right down the street and the light rail, which took us all over city, was a five-minute walk. Marcus and Lara made our stay in Seattle so comfortable. Thank you, we'll definitely be returning!

  • Best trip ever! Marcus was very accommodating and very resourceful. He took the time to answer all of our questions and gave us great recommendations from sites, places to eat, and everything in between. From a fabulous brunch spot to the local sports watering hole, everything around us had a homely feel, which made us feel right at home. Our experience with Marcus as well as our time in Seattle made it extremely difficult for us to leave. When the time comes for our return to this wonderful city, you know who we will be checking in with!

We at Emerald Stays welcome you to our modern and stylish vacation rental condo, in a brand new building located in the hip Belltown neighborhood of Seattle. The absolute best thing about this apartment is the location, located in Belltown, the residential neighborhood of Downtown. You will be steps away from the famous Pike Place Market, Puget Sound Waterfront, Seattle Aquarium & everything Downtown. The Space Needle & the rest of the Seattle Center are also within walking distance. You will also find some of Seattle's best restaurants, cafes, bakeries, bars & lounges, just outside the building. With a Walkscore of 98 and transit score of 100, the building is a "Walker's Paradise". So you can skip renting a car. The Convention Center is just 15 mins walk away. You can also catch buses to all of Seattle from across the block and Zipcars are 3 blocks away. This condo’s location makes it ideal for both business and holiday travelers. Since the building just opened up in June 2013, everything is new, modern and stylish. As soon as you enter the building’s spacious, beautiful lobby, you will notice the well-equipped 24-hour gym to your left. At the first chance you get, take the elevator up to the rooftop deck and you will be treated to awesome views of downtown and the waterfront. The rooftop deck also has a comfortable lounging area and is fitted with BBQ grills. The apartment itself is a modern open one-bedroom with hardwood floors and excellent furnishings. The huge windows provide ample light and a spacious feel to the condo. We have furnished this place such that you will feel absolutely at home. Between the plush queen bed and futon (which unfolds to a full size bed), this apartment will comfortably accommodate 3 guests. Apart from the towels and linens already laid out, there are many more to spare in the closets. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances & is fully equipped with everything you need to cook, serve and enjoy a wonderful meal (How about taking the food upstairs and making a picnic out of it). We think Internet is a basic utility and provide dedicated high-speed Wifi. There is a 43-inch HDTV with complimentary Netflix. Please note, we do not provide Cable on the TV. The Roku box does provide you access to news and on-demand programming. There is also TV with cable in the common lounging space. Come live like Locals in one of the most premium buildings of Seattle! It is a No Smoking Building, so we will expect you to respect that. Parking : Parking in the building can be arranged ( based on availability) at $20 per day. Although if you are staying in the center of the city you don't need a car at all.
  • Sid and Neha were awesome. They really helped me out of a jam. Quick, responsive, and really went the extra mile to make my experience in Seattle memorable. Thanks, guys!

  • Great stay

    Adnan2013-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great location - lots of restaurants within walking distance. We dined at WASABI Bistro & Japanese Lounge and enjoyed loads of fresh sushi during happy hour. After dinner, we spent some time on the rooftop terrace watching the sunset, and the ships glide across the water. Starting the moment we walked in the foyer we felt at home. The upbeat music in the bright foyer, fast elevator… The one bedroom apartment was neat, clean, and comfortable! Sid and Neha thought of everything - simple and tasteful decor, dishes/cooking pans, Seattle-specific magazines, Roku TV, wifi, plush towels and toiletries, comfy bedding with privacy curtains, etc. Highly recommend - we will certainly stay here again next time we visit Seattle!

    Sara2014-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Many thanks to Sid for very clear arrival instructions including the light rail from the airport. A fantastic location plus a very clean and well provisioned apartment. The buses from 3rd avenue can take you all over (get yourself an Orca card for great value) or stroll downtown. For the evenings that we had an early night, having Netflix was very much appreciated too. Some lovely places to eat very close by. Our first stay through Airbnb and a very happy one. Thanks again Sid - brilliant! Sarah & Paul.

  • Couldn't have asked for a better location! Such a great place to stay if you want to be able to basically walk anywhere. The check in process was easy and the space was clean. I would definitely stay here again

    Nicole2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first Airbnb experience and it was a good one. Sid's apartment was everything we expected. It was clean, the kitchen was well equipped and the bed was comfortable. The location was great. We walked to almost everything we wanted to see in Seattle. Check in was easy and Sid gave us directions from the light rail station, which was an easy walk to the apartment. I guess my only complaint would be the super low flow shower head. But I survived. We would definitely stay there again.

    Gary2016-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Sid and Neha's place! We booked a room with them for two nights after our flight to the east coast got cancelled at the very last minute. The Instant Book process was simple, quick, and efficient, and Sid was very gracefully on hand to answer our questions about finding/entering the apartment. The apartment has excellent amenities, is in a safe space, and has a very comfortable bed. We enjoyed our stay here and felt very much at home. Would definitely book with Sid and Neha again if we come back to Seattle! Thanks so much!

  • Location! Great Place! Easy to stay! This 1 bd apt in in a nice building, clean and secure. The apt is a good size for a short stay and well decorated. The bathroom is gigantic! Tons of closet space, if you need it. Short walk to Pike Market and to Seattle Center (Space Needle, Museums, the Arts, Concerts). Wonderful restaurants, bars and shops are super close. We would definitely stay here again!

  • It was me and my partner's first time in Seattle, and staying in Rachel's cozy apartment really made our stay more special!! Rachel had food, coffee, tea, and even a parking pass if you brought a car. The location was within walking distance of many resteraunts and shops, and close to bus stops. We never met in person, but Rachel was very communicative through texts and made sure we were having a nice stay.

    Chie2015-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Parking was a little challenging, location was great. The place was pretty small as advertised, but it is really small for a tall person. Overall, it was a fun place to stay but I would only recommend it to a single person, or a short couple.

    Brittni2014-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed for 5 nights and had a great experience. The apartment is located in a great neighborhood, very quiet but walking distance to great cafes and restaurants. Very clean and great communication with Rachel.

    Macarena2015-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Rachel's loft. It is small, yet charming! The neighborhood is nice and quiet. The apartment was clean and Rachel held great communication throughout our stay. There was only one bath towel for my friend and I, but I'm not sure if this is just something that was overlooked - not a huge deal. Also, be aware that there is no AC. This is shown in the listing so it wasn't a problem, but its good to know!

    Ciara2016-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • I loved it. It was exactly what I expected and I expected it to be as lovely as it was based in the reviews from others. What a gorgeous place. Hospitable. Cosy. Filled with character and great books. Easy to get to and around. Many thanks Rachel.

    Pádraig2018-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel was an accommodating and informative host with a guide to local eateries. There was complementary fresh fruit, coffee, and tea on hand. The apartment is cozy and charming. The loft bed was comfortable, but requires some gymnastics ability from senior citizens.

    Charlotte2016-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel is a great host. We arrived in Seattle early and she's super accommodating and let us drop off our luggage before checking in. She's very communicative and the instructions she gave to get to her apt. is super easy to follow. The apt. itself is very cute and is located in a convenient and vibrant neighborhood. We pretty much walked everywhere we needed to go. Our stay was very pleasant.

    Victoria2017-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel worked well with our schedule to check in and was there at the apartment to give us a breakdown of the home/neighborhood and to answer any questions that we had. The place was exactly what we were looking for. The view of the Seattle Skyline was beautiful from the porthole in the loft and while on the balcony. We would definitely stay again if Rachel would have us!

Come explore Ballard and Seattle from this quiet spot in North Ballard! This apartment has lots of natural light and a private, full bathroom. It is in the lower level of our house. It is well insulated to stay cool in the summer, warm in the winter. The space has all the conveniences of a hotel room. You have a private entrance, driveway that's yours to park in, fiber optic high speed wifi, microwave, toaster, electric kettle and a small frig. along with an assortment of tea, organic coffee, dishes, silverware etc. for you to use. There is a wall mounted HD T.V. with DVR and Century Link Prism (two hundred plus channels including HBO and on demand shows) . There is a queen bed and a new couch that converts to a full sized bed. The house has a huge yard and deck you are welcome to enjoy. There are two friendly cats but they stay upstairs. We live two blocks from Delancy's, a pizza spot that has been nationally recognized, Rosellini's, a great bakery, and the Fat Hen, a French bistro. All three have glowing reviews and are fabulous. The Ballard neighborhood has an incredible amount of restaurants and small, independent shops and Downtown Seattle is 5 miles away and a quick, easy bus ride. We live less than a mile from Greenlake and there are great neighborhoods to explore on all sides. There is plenty of free street parking in our neighborhood and a driveway that's yours to park your car in.
  • Our stay with Amanda was short but certainly sweet! She went out of her way to help two girls with very large suitcases find her apartment. As previous guests have said the range of facilities on offer are fantastic and the location is great. Next time we pay a visit to Seattle we'll certainly be seeing if Amanda has availability.

    Jessica2010-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda was a friendly host and her space was clean, well-located, spacious and fairly comfortable. Lots of people haved raved about the bed which perhaps inflated my expectations; I found it to be pretty standard (however I did appreciate that it was placed to allow access from both sides). The only caveat is that due to its basement-location, it can be slightly musty (even with the windows open), so if that is an issue for you it might not be the best fit (however I am admittedly rather hyper-sensitive to that sort of thing so it is probably fine for most people). The garden is lovely and there was plenty of light from the windows; it doesn't feel like you are in a basement since the door opens into it from the front yard. Amanda was easy to talk to and had great recommendations for local eateries. She also very considerately left a lovely bowl of fruit for us to enjoy when I mentioned that we would prefer not to have brownies or cookies in the room. Thanks Amanda!

    Chandra2011-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • It was just as all the others have said..."All the comforts of home"! The bed was very comfortable, nice desk/table for computer work, etc.. (wifi worked perfectly), comfortable couch for watching TV (HD picture a bonus of a rain-soaked day) or for eating (on TV tables no less). Made good use of the microwave and refrigerator, and Amanda has provided a more than adequate supply of dishes, glasses, and silverware, along with a good selection of teas, and even some soy milk in the frig. There are lots of lights in the room, so you can read/work wherever you'd want, and you have control of the temperature with a nice space heater. The bathroom is only 2 steps outside your room, and it was well-stocked and spotless. The shower had plenty of hot water (and water power), and Amanda provides soap, shampoo, conditioner, towels (I haven't had a bad experience at any previous Airbnb stay, but Amanda definitely goes above and beyond expectations to make your stay comfortable.) Parking was convenient (driveway, or right in front on the street), and it was an easy 4-block walk to catch a bus straight to downtown (much easier than trying to park in downtown Seattle). There is no traffic noise, and the house was also very quiet. I'd definitely look forward to another stay in "Friendly Ballard"...Thanks, Amanda !

    Dan2013-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • I saw reviews that said "stop looking, book now." That's solid advice. Amanda is a dream to communicate with -- helpful, and gives great clear instructions. Because of our arrival and departure times we weren't able to meet, but it definitely felt like we had our autonomy while also being warmly welcomed. Pretty incredible. Superhost indeed! The room was spotlessly clean and so cozy and nice. Parking was so easy. The neighborhood has nice places in walking distance but is quiet and peaceful at night. All in all, I highly suggest that you book this place!

    Keegan2015-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda was a great host. She left everything in order, with good instructions, information and brownies! The space was very clean, plenty of storage for clothes and luggage. Her space is exactly as described in the listing. We were very happy with our decision to stay here.

    Carrol2016-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Amanda was absolutely perfect. She greeted my girlfriend upon arrival, and offered to move her car in order to make space for ours in front of her house. We were welcomed with a beautiful, cozy room with a new swiveling flat-screen tv, homemade brownies, and all of the amenities a hotel would never provide (toothpaste, advil, tea, kettle, microwave, fridge). We also asked for a wine/bottle opener and Amanda provided us with one almost immediately. She was an amazing host with a beautifully-located house. Our first Airbnb experience was wonderful and I would recommend Amanda's place to anyone visiting the Seattle area. Hopefully we'll be back!

    James2012-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda was an excellent host. Hospitality was top notch and we arrived to a very welcoming note and plate of homemade brownies. The apartment was cozy, well-stocked with coffee, tea, and munchies, and overall a great value.

    James2017-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying at Amanda's place. It is in a nice residencial part of town. You can walk to restaurants and stores or catch a bus to go into the city.

100% self-contained studio loft attached to main house overlooking small city park. Nothing is shared. 160 sq. foot 1st floor with kitchen (gas stove/full fridge) plus 140 sq ft loft bedroom climbed via ladder, plus full bath with washer/dryer. Fully furnished (linens/pans, etc). "Flexible" check-in means unit is ready by 1pm, or earlier if prior guests left early (you can drop off bags early). Late arrivals are fine. Check-out time is 12pm, or later if the next guests are arriving later.
While our house is 110 years old, this cottage is only 25, and was built by a contractor given the task of "creating the feel of a Vermont cabin." It is your own space, with private entry, and is separate from our other unit on Airbnb ("Private entrance and central"). Queen bed in loft. Through your windows you will see lots of trees, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, and endless squirrels. Inside you will find art from our many travels, including India, Brazil, Mexico, Morocco, etc. We supply pots/pans/towels. Just bring your clothes. Two caveats: First, if you don't feel comfortable climbing a ladder to your bed, or climbing down a ladder in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, this is not the spot for you. Second, while the first floor ceiling height is 7 feet, the upstairs loft ceiling is shaped like an "A-frame" roof, with the center being around 6 feet, sloping lower as you crawl into bed. Our first tenant of 7 years was a 6-foot female, who was quite content. Both her and our later tenant had regular-visiting boyfriends who seemed just fine without banging their heads. But, if you don't want to duck as you get into bed, this is not the spot for you. Two guests only - sorry, no extra guests.
"Madrona" is one of the most central/desired neighborhoods in Seattle. You can walk 45 minutes to downtown, or in the other direction to Lake Washington or in another direction to the vibrant Capitol Hill. Or take a 20-30 minute bus ride to each, or drive there in 10 minutes. Within a 10 minute walk you have access to a supermarket, roughly 15 restaurants, 2 coffee shops, and a bakery around the corner from our house.
  • This is the perfect place to stay while exploring Seattle! It's comfortable, affordable, centrally located near lots of busses, and in a good neighborhood with plenty of delicious Ethiopian restaurants. Phil was a very kind host with excellent communication. He even brought us a little pastry from the nearby bakery, which was very sweet :) If you're traveling solo or with somebody that you're very close with, I highly recommend this adorable little cottage!

    Guinevere2014-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • My time at the Studio Loft Garden Cottage was wonderful. Phil was a wonderful host. He and Andrea were easy to communicate with prior to my stay, and very accessible while I was in Seattle. Phil was friendly and helpful suggesting sites and transportation options while in Seattle. My son lives less than 3 blocks from Phil and Andrea. I am thrilled that I know about the Studio Loft Garden Cottage for future visits. The property is beautiful, peaceful, plenty of space for one or two people. Be aware that you must be able to climb up and down an angled ladder to reach the sleeping loft. I think that's important to know. If you have any limitations to knees, legs, or the ability to climb up and down talk to Phil about the very sturdy ladder. If you like peace and quiet, a helpful and friendly host and a lot of extra touches that made me feel valued....this is the place for your Seattle visit.

    Tina2015-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • Phil's hospitality made us feel right at home while exploring a new city. From the personal arrival greeting, restaurant referral to just neighborly chit chat. The cottage is adorable, welcoming, quiet and close to public transit. Definitely a great place to stay while visiting Seattle!

    Karen2016-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best parts of our nearly week-long trip to Seattle! Phil and Andrea's cottage was so cozy and the perfect size for two. Good food nearby and convenient grocery store a few blocks away. They were very accommodating and welcoming, giving useful tips and recommendations. Easy access to public transit--we had no problem getting to downtown and other hot spots. Felt safe and really at home. Thank you!

    Abby2015-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Phil was an excellent host! After booking his place, he sent me info on his favorite places within walking distance and detailed directions to help find the place! He was there when we checked in so he gave us more detailed suggestions to fit our needs and wants. He left us delicious treats from a local bakery! The place was clean and cute! We were walking distance from most of all of the things we did, which was very nice. We loved every minute of our trip and would recommend this place to anyone!

    Blair2015-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved staying in this charming cottage. It's very clean and has a peaceful view of the garden. Phil was super helpful and kind. You can tell he put a lot of thought into providing everything you may need. It really felt like a home away from home. We can't wait to visit again. Thanks so much for making our trip and experience easy, comfortable and simply great. - Jen and Alexis

  • We had such a nice stay at the Garden Cottage. The space is lovely and private. The croissants that were left daily were not only a wonderful treat, but some of the tastier ones we've had in the States. We had a chance to meet Phil briefly and really enjoyed talking to him about music and travel. He is available as much as you would like but will also make sure you have privacy. Capitol Hill is a great neighborhood and convenient for exploring Seattle. We had no problem walking to downtown and the market.

    Rachel2016-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay!!!!! Phil and Andrea gave us as much privacy as a newly married couple would want but we still received some surprisingly warm hospitality when we came in late from our flight when we found the heat on, delicious looking pastries, and a note with recommendations left for us! They provided thoughtful accommodations and the pastries were so good! The location was perfect and though we had rented a car, it seemed very close to public transit to get you the 2 or 3 miles into downtown but was out of the way enough to enjoy the peace and quiet! Kitchen was fully furnished minus some spices if you want to cook (salt and pepper was there, so unless you are a spice snob, no worries: just go buy/bring your spices!), laundry was easily accessible, and the entire unit felt a lot bigger than one would expect for two people with plenty of natural light and some amazing decor. These guys cannot be beat and I look forward to visiting again, perhaps taking one of those amazing ravioli-making classes we kept hearing so much about. I know we will be looking them up to stay again next time we are up that way! -Ben and Jaclyn

  • We had the most fantastic stay at Matthew's place. It is beautifully kept and in a great location. I have to say all the little details make such a difference- from the brolly to the porridge sachets and fresh milk in the fridge. It all made for such a relaxing and fun time in Seattle.

    Amy2016-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great and very centrally located to downtown seattle. Only wish we had more time in the city! Also great view from the roof top. Matt was a responsive host and provided all the amenities you could need.

  • Matthew was an upscale host. This is by far the most comfortable airbnb bed I've ever stayed in! He had nice touches like brochures and info about the city as well as water bottles and snacks. Very easy to communicate with. Nice and quiet location close to fun bars and restaurants and a short uber to downtown.

For travelers who are passing through town short-term and like a rustic zen cabin vibe in a great city location. Features: Japanese brand futon pull out double bed, and futon single loft bed, toliet & kitchette, but note: No bathing facilities available on site. Welcome!
This space has a lot of funky charm and is in a great part of the city. The room is cozy and a bit quirky with a rustic/self built vibe as we inherited the space (for example, the walls are simple paneling) but we rent it as it because of its charm. You will always have clean sheets, fresh duvets and coffee. You can have your coffee or tea in the yard or go up to the roof to see the tips of the skyscrapers while listening to the collection of birds that seem to like our yard! Oh and if you see the bunnies eating my garden could you ask them nicely to stick to the grass and not my veggies? We hope you will love this place so please do not book just because it "will do for the price." Not everyone likes ladders, futons (I ordered them from a quality Japanese futon store, but not everyone likes futons right?) or lack of a shower, but some people LOVE how it is cozy and fun and will truly resonate with our offering as they travel like we do! We love people to be happy and feel safe. Sometime we will have the funds to upgrade it but at present we pass the saving on to you by aiming to be affordable in a wonderful location in a very private garden setting. There is a toliet is in the room with a curtain and half wall dividing it from the rest of the space, but no solid door, so travel only with close friends lol. There is a single futon bed in the loft for those that are comfortable on a loft ladder. The futon in the main space is a pull out that could fit two people. I set it up with clean sheets and duvet bedding always. It will take up most of the room, so if you are staying more then a night, you may want to push it back to have a sitting space as there is a small table and two seats for eating space and a kitchenette a few drawers for clothes and lots of hooks to hang things. If you have large wheel suitcases it will be possibly too tight...I offer all this to be upfront so you will enjoy your stay if you select the Zen Loft :) As you can see from reviews most people enjoy it! The wifi password for the zen loft is hulahoop :) the WiFi has an extender and we have high speed BUT the unit is tucked in our back yard so isn’t always as strong as I wish we could get it. It works well with computers ( (Hidden by Airbnb) , movies usually all good!) However, if you are an international guest ONLY using a phone, the signal isn’t great for (Hidden by Airbnb) /FaceTime etc unless you sit outside the front door.
Ravenna is a wonderful neighborhood with an extemely good walking score. You are only a few blocks from so much! Less than 10 minutes walk and you are walking around Greenlake, or at Ravenna Alehouse, Zeeks Pizza, Ravenna Park, Third Place books, you name it! There is so much in our area to enjoy! For drivers, you are just 10 blocks from 1-5 and 5 minutes drive to the University District and 10 minutes to areas like Phinney, Fremont and the Woodland Park Zoo. In the city, but without the traffic, noise or high rises.
  • The tiny little loft was good for a pitstop. It was cool to climb the roof and see the beautiful sunset. Pretty good location felt very safe. Could be dusted a bit more but worked for us since it was a pitstop (no shower)

    Lauren2015-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • The "Zen Loft" cabin was exactly what my husband and I needed for a one night stay in Seattle near UW. It was cozy, warm, and very comfortable. Also, Lara was incredibly accommodating when we arrived in town a little earlier than we expected, allowing us to go ahead and settle in.

  • This little loft made for a very unique and fun stay. Being just outside of the U District we were close to just about everything in the city. Lara was a fantastic and friendly host, making us feel very welcome, and quickly right at home. The Loft is on the smaller side, and does not yet have a shower, but for a quick overnight stay, that wasn't a big issue. The space reminded me of Country-esque Tiny Living, which we really enjoyed. Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay.

  • Really beautiful space and super cool. The location is great and though you're in the city it's peaceful and quiet. Highly recommend.

  • Great communication with Lara, who was so helpful and friendly, with great ideas of where to eat etc. and left great instructions of how to find the cabin. It was a perfect place for a quick stay, in a great neighborhood with easy access to interstate. Comfortable and cosy with everything one needed. Would definitely return!

  • The zen loft is a nice cozy place to stay in Seattle. We arrived with just enough time to make food and rest, small and comfortable.

    Rhombie2015-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • My fiancé & I only stayed one night in Seattle and the Zen loft was perfect! We were very comfortable and had a relaxing stay! For a small space I loved the versatility of the kitchen & enjoyed making coffee with the French press in the morning! If we are ever back in Seattle we would definitely stay again :)

  • The neighborhood was extremely cute and nearby one of the nicest ends of Seattle. She was very welcoming and really good with communication. She left tea out for us and instructions on how to use various items in the loft.

  • Lars did a fine job of making us feel welcomed. He had space heaters to help keep us warm and an electric blanket on the bed. He even had Christmas decorations including a small lighted tree. A complimentary bottle of wine added a special touch.

    William2016-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lars is really kind and available, we had a delay in our flight and he waited for us until midnight proposing also to come to pick us up. We felt very welcomed! The place is cozy and relaxing, in a quite neighborhood. Strongly recommended!

  • We had a very lovely stay at Lars' house. Amazingly well-equipped, this unit is private and cozy, with its own separate entrance. Lars is available and full of helpful suggestions where to go and what to do based upon your own individual interests. He also knows Seattle very well and can tell you how to get around. We enjoyed our time with him, meeting his doggies Mac and MacKenzie, and staying at his home in our own space. Would definitely return again and again.

    Frederic2017-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at the urban wilderness. It was private and you could walk to restaurants. It is a close transit trip to the city. It was a lovely area and Lars was a welcoming host.

    MaryAnne2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lars' place was wonderful. It is exactly as advertised. There is a cute little bookstore and café with a pub on the first floor within walking distance. Lars was full of suggestions of things to do around the city and had brochures and books available, which was much appreciated! Check in was easy. We also had a dead battery in our rental car and he was kind enough to give us a jump early in the morning. Great place... highly recommend it.

    Elizabeth2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lars's place was perfect for our first visit to Seattle - the location is awesome because it's in a quiet neighborhood just north of the city, but with easy access to all of the popular sights, downtown Seattle, and more! The place really feels like home, with a nice kitchenette and bathroom. And if you're lucky, you'll be greeted by Lars (and his two awesome dogs), who knows a lot about the city. Definitely would stay here again!

  • Marian's beach studio was the perfect weekend destination for me and my husband. The views alone were beautiful, but the studio lends itself to a very zen and relaxing experience. For being a small space, it was well-equipped in the kitchen and bathroom areas. Very appreciated! We look forward to a return visit some day!

    Gina2016-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • The studio was exactly as it appeared in the pictures - clean and welcoming. Marian was a wonderful host and had a welcome packet prepared for us with some toiletries and a binder full of things to do in the area. She even checked in with us at the beginning of our stay to greet us and see if we needed anything, which was much appreciated. The studio is located about a block from the beach and parking is pretty easy. Overall, the stay was enjoyable and convenient, could not have asked for more. Would definitely stay here again when we are back in Seattle.

    Iliana2015-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Marian's beach studio and really enjoyed Alki Beach and the amazing views from our window. The beach studio is quiet and clean with perfect welcoming touches like new slippers, wine and toothbrushes. Highly recommend staying with Marian and taking advantage of exploring West Seattle.

    Chris2014-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I decided to take our first trip together up to the Pacific Northwest to the beautiful city of Seattle. It was our goal to not only enjoy the city and sights but as much of the local lifestyle we could. After stumbling about Marian's listing, we knew instantly that we'd be staying there. From the jump, Marian was receptive, reliable, and quick to respond to any inquiries we had. It didn't take long for us to finally book the place. Photos really do not do the home justice. The architecture was beautiful, the space was clean, and the views were breathtaking. We loved being able to walk down to the beach and taking the ferry out to downtown whenever we wanted to be near the hustle and bustle. It was the perfect balance! Marian was detailed in her instructions for the home (locking the doors, accessing WiFi, etc.) as well as how to get to various places in town via public transportation. She also provided an expansive list of spots to see, places to eat, and local activities - never did we feel lost or without anything to do. The next time we're back in Seattle, we'll be booking with Marian again! TL;DR: If you are able to, seriously...pick this place, it's nothing short of perfect.

  • Number one recommended. I absolutely loved the Hospitality and communication as the guest. 100% Will always stay here!!!!

    Destiny Ashley2015-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was a sweet place. Clean and simple, and comfortable. The directions were easy to follow and we got there, parked, and got in with no problem. It would have been great to use the patio chairs shown in the listing but we happened to stay during a cold, rainy, windstorm!

    andrew 2015-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was an amazing property to stay out. Less than a mile from the beach and bedroom view of the open water was extremely peaceful. The room was a simple but well maintained studio. Uber drivers have a little trouble finding it due to the area and roads but you will know it when you see it due to its distinct architecture and color. The area of Alki beach was calm and relaxed during the day, although it had some younger nightlife in the evening. The shuttle stop is close by and free to the water taxi, which costs $4/person, but takes you directly into the city in less than 10 mins. Everyone in the area is very nice and Marian was extremely helpful and responsive to inquiries. Would stay here again when I go back to Seattle.

This funky houseboat is primo for a romantic getaways, regular business travelers, birthdays, and local Seattle staycationers. This one's all about unique and location for the adventurous traveler. Rutabaga is for sale! $425K. Contact to learn more.
This houseboat is comfortable place with all you will need - for the adventurous and open eyed. Managing people's expectations are difficult business so lets start now...please only book if you want to enjoy this home and have a curiosity for an unfamiliar way of living, as it is not a hotel or a house. See section "Other things of Note" to ensure you are fully on board with this experience. If you are, I am thrilled to have you stay on my boat. I love her and put a lot of care into owning her well. The Rutabaga is a boat I purchased and fixed up, and as such is a place I adore. I bought it in December 2013 in rough condition and later came to find out it was barely floating. With a lot of help, I spent 6 months rebuilding it top to bottom. It was originally constructed in the 80s during a boom time for houseboats in Seattle, giving it the lines of its original "house barge" design, plus the 2nd story which was added on the bedroom. Now, its a funky, interesting place with lovely views of the city of Seattle and Lake Union. This house barge is a darling little place with all you will need - no amenity lost. Full kitchen, living space with sofa and table, bathroom with hot shower and functioning toilet, 3 wall heaters for cozy nights, 1 full size bed perfect for two, and a beautiful rooftop deck boasting enviable views downtown Seattle and Lake Union. As for living on a boat, there is little like it, and I suggest you try it out. You might be looking at some shwanky pad as well, and that would be great, but this is a cool experience, a piece of Seattle history you should wear for a few days when you can. It's an opportunity to be around the mayhem that is water life during the day, and the peace and tranquility that floating can be at night. - 1 queen bed - 1 full size sleeper sofa/day bed - 1 full size blow up mattress and sheets available - Sleeps 4 on the above furniture pieces - 4 total overnight guests allowed - Full kitchen (refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, coffee press, kitchen essentials) - Heated (2 wall heaters) - Gas heater - Full bathroom (shower, toilet, sink) - Wireless Internet - Kid friendly (to a degree) - Indoor and outdoor breakfast/eating nook - Deck and roof lounge area - Propane bbq - Parking out front the marina office building at a cost of $1 per hour. Weekdays, it is free before 9 am and after 4 pm. Weekends are free as well. - (3) kayaks - first come, first serve. No reservations.
The area sits conveniently close to downtown Seattle and tucked between South Lake Union and Fremont. For those checking out the city, this is a great location. For those on business, also super convenient and comfortable. The closest grocery store is about a mile away in Fremont (PCC) so keep that in mind.
  • Easy to use, easy to find, and easy to love. We would stay here again in a heartbeat -very cool way to see Seattle!

    Ryan2016-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • This houseboat was so so charming. It was clean and tasteful. It has great reading material and we put the hammock, kayaks, and yoga mat to good use. When my hubby and I travel we are use to running around town being touristy all day but at the Rutabaga, we took our mornings slow because it was so hard to leave the boat and all its peacefulness and perfection.

    Liz2015-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very enjoyable and fun to stay here. Cozy, quiet and romantic. The houseboat has the best spot in the marina, with great views up and down the ship canal. Plenty of room for a couple. The Fremont business district is about a 15 minute walk down the ship canal trail and across the Fremont bridge. Easy to park.

    Mike2014-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy, comfortable, scenic vacation home within the center of Seattle!

    Herb2017-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • It is an excellent place, one of a kind. Comfortable, cozy, yet close to the city. We would stay at Michael's again next time.

    Jay2017-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable and cozy houseboat, centrally located on Lake Union. Beautifully appointed and fully furnished with a really comfortable bed decked out with fluffy pillows and a down comforter. This is a boat, so keep in mind that it will have a rather constrained electrical system (my blowdryer repeatedly tripped the circuit) and that the owners ask you to use the marina toilet when possible, de rigueur for boaters, but potentially off-putting to dry-landers unacquainted with the marine lifestyle. Parking and access were easy and since it is in a marina on Westlake, it is near a lot of places like Fremont, Ballard and downtown. I loved staying here and plan to be back!

    Penelope2017-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Michael and Mackenzie were amazing hosts. We felt at home and Mackenzie was always just a text away if we needed anything. The houseboat was super cute and I can't wait to stay on one of the root vegetable boats again.

    Jennifer2017-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • I loved the house boat experience! It was within walking distance to downtown, or a very short Uber ride and was a nice change to the normal hotel experience. I'll definitely look to return back on my next visit!!

Guests enjoy a completely private separate-entrance studio apartment fully equipped with private restroom, kitchenette, work space, and ample storage space. Guests have full access to the private back yard & laundry, free street parking ,and a mile walk to Puget Sound or 15min drive/taxi (35 min bus ride) to downtown Seattle.
Tucked above our garage, and with views primarily of the sky and treetops, you'll feel the stress melt away as you enter into your own private sanctuary. Recently remodeled, comfortably furnished, with a new 3/4 bath and washer/drier on the lower level, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster you'll have everything you need for comfort and convenience. The full size bed with a new memory foam mattress topper is nestled under two skylights. We've slept on it, and think it's one of the more comfortable beds we've ever slept on (and our guests agree!). We can also accommodate your kids (10 and under at no extra charge), or up to 2 extra adults with sleeping bags on the carpeted floor.
Tucked a few blocks back from a major thoroughfare, our home feels akin to quiet suburbia, but with all the nearby amenities of a big city. In less than a 15 minute drive, you can be in the heart of downtown, or nestled on a ferry headed out to Vashon Island to escape the hustle and bustle. It's only a mile walk down to Puget Sound where you can watch for whales, sea lions, seals and bald eagles (we've seen them all!), and on a clear day catch breath taking views of the sun setting behind the Olympics. Don't want to go far? Our favorite pub is less than a 10 min walk away, and serves the most amazing tacos! Ample and free parking along the street. Space for bikes in our locked garage.
  • Sarah was so friendly and welcoming. We had to change our arrival time, but she was very flexible. The guest house is beautiful and very comfortable. Sarah has really thought of everything that guests might need to feel at home--dishes, microwave, granola for breakfast, extra toiletries. Communication was great. We would happily stay here again. This has been my best Airbnb experience so far!

    Claire2016-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem! Sarah and Chris were out of town during our stay, but made sure someone was there to greet us and check up on us during our time there. The loft was adorable and very clean, with extra little amenities like granola, clean towels, toiletries, ect. Great location, close to the city but far enough away to avoid traffic and city noise. Would definitely recommend staying here!

    Kori2016-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah was a great host. Responded quickly to messages and was there at the house to welcome us. Her loft had a very rustic feel. Clean, comfortable, and very spacious. Love how there was a lot of light in the morning from the skylight. There was water, milk, and yogurt & granola in the fridge which added a great touch to the place. We would definitely come back in the near future.

    Lan2016-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little loft! Sarah and Chris were welcoming and helpful. Loft had everything we needed...even yummy granola! They provided some great recommendations for how to spend our time in Seattle.

  • Our family felt very welcome and cozy in this tiny house. The house has a ton of quirks due to its tiny nature but our family had a blast exploring each one of them (many helpful instructions are also provided within the house). Hannah, our host, was extremely welcoming and respectful of our privacy. The house is situated in a very sweet neighborhood with many places nearby to eat and purchase supplies. Living here for just 2 nights gave our family a new perspective on living with a small footprint and we hope to carry some of that perspective into our own home.

    Kyle2015-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first Airbnb stay so it would be hard to compare, but I couldn't imagine it going ANY better. Everything was really nice. This was also the first Tiny house we had ever been in and we loved it. The little notes everywhere were great. This was our "test run" so to speak to see if living tiny would be for us. We have been planning out tiny house for awhile and will def. be moving forward. Hannahs house was very nice, It's almost kind of hidden from the street. The area was nice and it is a short drive to downtown Seattle.

  • Found this place from a YouTube video by "Deek". Some things have been changed (kitchen table), but it is almost exactly the same!

  • We loved this Tiny Home. It was perfect for my son & I plus, such a great value for the location!

  • We LOVED staying at Hannah's Tiny House!! Great location with plenty of parking and only a 20 min drive to the city. The house was lovely and we felt right at home as soon as we walked through the door. Hannah is the perfect host leaving awesome directions, guidebooks and notes where needed. My 9-year old took over the loft and didn't want to leave after two nights. Thank you so much Hannah, we'll definitely stay again when we're in Seattle again! :)

    Sarah2017-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience staying in the tiny mansion. Would recommend to anyone. We just relaxed all night. Had a bite to eat 2 minutes away. No worries when everything you need is in a tiny home.

    Able2017-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • I more than adored everything about this little house. I didn't want to leave. Or if I did, I just wanted to hitch it to a pick-up and take it with me. It has everything you need. Even a full sized washing machine! Seriously considering a mini mansion of my own. I liked that I had my own autonomy in my own place but Hannah was just a pathway away in the big house if I needed anything. This was my first trip to Seattle and this will probably be my lodging of choice for the future.

Our little log cabin is back in action! We are back in the main house after living in the cabin for a year: a fun adventure! About the cabin, it's mostly heated by the wood fireplace. Kitchenette has microwave, 1 burner, mini-fridge, dishes etc. upstairs is full-sized bed
Sweet restored stockade style log cabin right on Haller Lake. You would never know you were within the Seattle city limits! Haller Lake is a quiet, natural spring fed 15 acre lake surrounded by private homes. Custom woodwork inside with artful touches. Sleeps 2 upstairs in full sized bed. Main floor has comfy sofa, kitchenette with microwave, single induction burner cooktop, coffee maker, toaster and small refrigerator, teapot, dishes and glasses; 3/4 bath with new stone tile shower. This cabin is heated mainly with the wood fireplace. The photos show the old wood stove. You can now watch the flames and there is a fan to spread the heat around a little better. There is also a deLonghi oil heater to add a little more heat when needed. There is no TV but there is WiFi. Bring slippers, the stone floor gets chilly. Fish from the dock or take a ride in the paddleboat. We just got a canoe! (The boats are out of the water in the winter). No pets please! We are now living in the main house. We have an Australian Shepherd and a flock of chickens and ducks (the dog and chickens do not come into the cabin, just in case you were wondering) Parking is shared with the main house. It's close to Northgate Shopping Mall with shops, restaurants and Thornton Place Cinema. A few blocks to Northwest Hospital and the new proton center (look up ProCure Center) The lake is about 20-35 minutes from downtown Seattle via I-5 or highway 99 (can be a bit more in heavy traffic). Bus route #346 has a stop at the end of the driveway. If you are interested in having a party or many friends over, please clear it with us before making your reservation. We have limited parking and there is no parking down our communal access road. Check out by noon, Check in no earlier than 2pm, sometimes later if I can't get the cabin ready because of work. To be agreed upon according to schedule. If you want an early morning check-in, please book the night before.
  • This listing was exactly as described. It is a bit a walk from parking to the cabin so for those with limited mobility a caveat would be in order. Roberta was very accommodating and pleasant to talk with. I have already recommended this lovely cabin to friends I think would like it.

  • Absolutely stunning and serene little cabin! Great hosts with kind hearts, literally 9 minutes to the Union and 5th Ave parkade in downtown Seattle (smack in the middle of shopping and restaurants). The lake is gorgeous and for the most part mirror calm first thing in the morning! Honestly could not be better, won't stay anywhere else in the Seattle area anymore (unless all of you read this and keep the place booked).

  • As our first airbnb experience, I've gotta say - the bar was set pretty high. We were in Seattle for a couple days for my cousins' wedding, so unfortunately did not get to spend as much time in the cabin as we'd like. The cabin was more spacious than I expected, very comfortable and cozy, super clean, private, and very romantic. It was equipped with pretty much everything that we needed and if we needed something, like an iron ;) Roberta was there in a jiffy to provide it to us. The view is absolutely phenomenal and breathtaking. Coming from flat-landed Texas, the lake, trees, and just pure nature...was so refreshing - I really could have used some more of that. This was such a great experience. Hopefully, we'll be able to come back to Seattle one day and stay here again! Thank you Roberta and Dan for sharing your hidden gem with us, and for your hospitality! :)

  • Dan and Roberta's cabin in Seattle was a perfect escape after a long day exploring the city. They were gracious hosts, and gave us recommendations during our short stay in Seattle. The cabin was just as described, and well equipped with everything we needed. We highly recommend this place to anyone! We hope to stay here one day again.

    Jessica2015-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Roberta & Dan were very helpful and welcoming. A short jaunt from their off street parking to their little rustic cabin by the lake was a trip to the country without leaving the city. It was peaceful, serene, forested park atmosphere on a sweet small lake. Thank you Gerd

    Gerd2015-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • We spent four nights at the Haller Lake cabin. It was perfect in every way. It is cozy, romantic, very clean and the lake is right there with boats and everything. Only 10 miles to downtown Seattle. Loved it

    Marilyn2011-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • They were awesome. Picked us up by surprise in the rain at the bus stop. They checked in with us everyday to see what we were doing, how things were going and if we needed anything else. But they also gave us privacy. The cabin is also amazing. Beautiful location and it's close to a lot and several different bus stops. Highly recommended.

We are located in the quiet and quaint N. Beacon Hill. This safe and diverse neighborhood is just a 10-12 min walk to the light rail station and a 5 min walk to two major bus lines. Getting to downtown Seattle (pike place market) only takes 25 minutes, door to door. There are also some great coffee shops and dining options nearby. This newly renovated stand-alone cottage was designed with the Airbnb traveler in mind. Including your own bathroom, full kitchen, living space and king-sized bed.
***Thanks in advance for reading this entire post BEFORE BOOKING*** Early check-in will cost an extra $40 and will depend if the space has already been booked the previous night (since check-out is at 11am and additional arrangements will need to be made with the cleaner). This studio sits in the back of our main home, which is a triplex. We live in the main unit, while another tenant lives in the upper unit and basement unit. This is a stand alone cottage, so you will have your own private entrance with keyless entry and your own bathroom and kitchen stocked with dishware, cookware, coffee/tea. This space features a king sized tuft and needle bed (and a twin sized air mattress upon request), flat screen TV with cable, free WIFI access and a couch where you can lounge, kick up your feet and make yourself at home. There is also a preschool that is directly behind the cottage and you will sometimes faintly hear children playing in their play area.
North Beacon Hill is very diverse and is NOT directly located in downtown Seattle, but since we are about a ten minute walk from the light rail and five minute walk from two major bus lines, many travelers choose to stay in Beacon Hill because it is so close to downtown, but very quiet. • Angela's B&B cottage was all I needed for a comfortable stay in an old but quaint neighborhood. The cottage has a kitchenette with all of the equipment needed to cook and to make coffee. Parking is free and safe on the street, and there is always an available spot nearby. A #36 bus travels down Beacon St. to downtown.

    Dennis2018-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really lovely cottage which is a short walk to the light rail service which gets you into downtown Seattle and beyond quickly and easily. There are also some nice bars serving food and coffee shops very close to the cottage. The cottage is really comfortable and clean and has everything you need for a longer stay, with a well equipped kitchen and loads of books and guides to Seattle.

    Hannah2017-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is awesome! So comfortable and adorable

    Elise2016-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I really loved staying here in Seattle. Convenient check in and the cottage was beautiful. Easy access to the rail downtown as well. Would 100% stay here again!

    John P.2016-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience! The cottage is perfectly described and the location was wonderful! The coded door lock makes things very easy for going in and out, and we had everything we needed for exploring. Overall a great place to stay if you are visiting Seattle. My girlfriend I would stay there again!

    Zach And Teresa2016-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The name for the place describes it all! My wife and I came to Seattle on our honeymoon, and the cozy private cottage by the light rail gave us everything we needed. When we arrived, Angela made sure we were getting settled in and gave us a rundown of the cottage top male sure everything went smoothly. But after that, our privacy was respected, but I never felt uncomfortable to ask Angela if we had a question. The cottage is so clean, and cozy we almost didn't want to leave to explore the city! And being so close to the light rail made it easy to get downtown and see all the city has too offer. If you find yourself looking for a private place to stay in Seattle, this should be #1 on your list!!

    Andrew2016-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is cozy and comfy. It's in a quirky and interesting Seattle neighborhood with good cheap eats and with quick and easy access to downtown Seattle via public transit. We enjoyed our stay and would have liked to stay longer.

Perch on a stool at the breakfast bar under vaulted pine ceilings in this bright, cozy studio home. This custom-built modern backyard cottage is tucked away in a private setting, yet just steps away from everything this hip neighborhood has to offer.
Finished in 2016, this new, custom-built studio cottage is tucked away in a private setting. Your cottage is set back from the street in our private backyard, atop our garage (not parked in, and rarely opened), surrounded by trees and a greenbelt behind our house. It is designed to be eco-friendly with SIP panels, LED lighting, heat pump water heater and radiant floor heating. Serene, healthy, and beautiful - and close to everything! It's perfect for out of town guests, vacationers, a staycation, or business travelers.
West Seattle is a sought-after neighborhood that is perfect for foodies, shoppers, families, adventurers, and those visiting the city and the Great Northwest—all within 15 minutes of downtown.
  • This place is super cute and a great location in West Seattle. My parents loved the bed so much we followed up with the hosts to find out what mattress they had! The place was spotless, cozy and Sarah and Mark were fantastic hosts. I appreciated their flexibility with our booking -- we would definitely stay again! This is a great option for staying in West Seattle. Not too far from the beach and walkable to the Junction on California with lots of shops. Loved our stay!

    Katie2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah and Mark's private suite was absolutely perfect for our quick visit to Seattle. The neighborhood is cute and the residence is both private and inviting. They had everything we needed to whip up a meal when we arrived late in the evening, and were incredibly accommodating and responsive hosts. I would recommend this lovely spot to anyone visiting Seattle, and hope to come back!

    Carley2016-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah and Mark are both very friendly and kind! The backyard cottage was in impeccably good shape and loaded with all sorts of thoughtful amenities. They gave me recommendations for breakfast, accommodated my variable arrival time and were a pleasure to chat with. **two thumbs up with a smile**

    Gregory2016-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah & Mark's place was absolutely amazing! Sarah was great with communication and gave us everything we needed for our arrival. The bakery she mentioned Bakery Noveau was so delicious. Too bad we only tried it once. I would definitely recommend Sarah & Mark's to anyone who is visiting Seattle. Looking forward to staying here again for our future trips.

    Fely2016-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is my first time stay in Seattle, and the time there was very pleasant. Half of the credit was this little cozy cottage house from Sarah and Mark. This cozy cottage is very clean and there is everything you need. I even made my own breakfast with the simple kitchen tools they have. From making my own breakfast to enjoy a cup of wine with my wife, it was a simple pleasure. My wife loved the quiet environment and the little neat details of take out order menus from their selection around the area. The best part is the comfortable bed in the room. Both my wife and I rested well in this cozy cottage. Therefore, we definitely recommend and we will return again. From the scale one to ten,ten being the best, I would say 10!

  • We loved our time in the cottage, we stayed for our honeymoon and it was a very friendly and pretty neighbour hood. We would definitely recommend the bakery Nouveau and the Easy street cafe!! Katie and James

  • Sarah and Mark's place was amazing. Super easy to get to. Very clean and cozy.

    Jessica2017-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • What a delightful gem in the city yet away from it all in a quiet little neighborhood in West Seattle. I stayed there on a Thursday recently and was greeted by the host, Sarah. who showed me to the studio. She was friendly and helpful, and had left information about the area's restaurants. Though a studio, the apartment felt spacious with its pitched ceilings. Everything was wonderfully new and sparkling clean. The bed is comfy. I didn't try the couch bed but it seemed a nice addition if there are more than two staying. The kitchen was well appointed with all appliances. My stay was short so I didn't need much except the coffee pot! Cute little bathroom with tub and shower. Loved all the amenities. This apartment is situated in back of the family home. It is above their garage and has an outside stairway entrance. It is very private. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Seattle area. There is shopping nearby. West Seattle's restaurants and shops are a few block walking distance and Seattle downtown is 10 minutes away. Thank you, Sarah! I'll be back for sure!!

Spend your Seattle visit in the classiest and coziest little bungalow around. This 1985 vintage camper trailer has been fully renovated inside and is the perfect home base for your stay. If you have fond memories of camping in your childhood, you'll love the compact and efficient, yet updated feel of our space. And, if you've always dreamed of such experiences, now is your chance. Sleeps four comfortably and is equipped for light cooking and dining together.
We're located in the friendly neighborhood of Greenwood, just a mile or so from shopping and restaurants. We're also very close to Carkeek Park, which offers a beach & great view of the Olympic Mountains and the Puget Sound, as well as trails for hiking and a playground for kids.
  • It was so clean and cozy! The bed is very comfortable and well made. It was an awesome experience and it was almost like we were camping. Super fun!

  • Stacia’s place was perfect! We were so cozy in her camper and enjoyed all the little touches she has. We felt like we could have been anywhere!

    Hannah2017-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Stacia’s camper was absolutely amazing! It was really cute and clean with every little detail perfectly thought out! Would absolutely stay here again!

    Alyssa2017-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Stacia's place was very cute, clean, well thought out, comfortable, and perfect! Her family is great and so were the cookies. The space was exactly what we needed and didn't feel like we were missing anything. I highly recommend!

    Lena2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • I got very excited from the moment I saw Stacia and Dan's camper on Airbnb Seattle! Staying in it definitely added to the fun of our PNW road trip. Stacia was very quick to respond and friendly and their house was easy to find. We were sooooo impressed by their attention to detail, from fresh cookies to cute pillows to the greatest coffee (with cream in the cutest mason jar!) to cool books on the shelf. Ah, it was perfect for someone who likes cute things as much as I do!!! The camper was super comfortable to sleep in, too, and pretty private even though it's located in Stacia and Dan's yard. I'd recommend this sweet Airbnb gem to anyone visiting Seattle!

    Inna2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Trailer doesn't seem to be the right word to describe this listing, but cozy definitely is. Stacia's trailer is well-designed and they've really thought about the details. The home-roasted coffee for the French Press was a very nice touch as well! I was slightly concerned about the weather as Seattle was supposed to be below freezing the night of our stay but the space heater in the trailer worked very well and we weren't even remotely cold during our stay. Would definitely stay again!

    Tim2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful and cozy camper located right in the perfect spot for a fun night out in the city with a quiet country feel :)

    Samantha2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Okay, not only is this place beyond cute but they even had fresh cookies and had ground their own coffee beans (so bummed we didn't have time to try the coffee out). Dan and Stacia certainly went above and beyond! This cute airbnb is in such a perfect location, it's an adorable place to stay and the hosts are amazing. I will certainly be coming back again soon! And I highly recommend you do too!

A private cottage in First Hill/Capitol Hill. Close to everything Seattle has to offer, this cottage has charm and all the comforts of home. Near amazing food and fantastic coffee. The cottage has a very comfortable full sized murphy bed.
The cottage is very private and located in the backyard. Access to the cottage is through a sliding gate along the left side of the house.
The 12th Avenue corridor is full of yummy food, great coffee and fun nightlife. Near Capitol Hill and Downtown (1.5 miles) this is a great quite spot with easy access to all of the fun Seattle has to offer. We are located by near bus, light rail and the Seattle Street Car. Nearby Restaurants: Ba Bar (any noodle bowl) and Lemongrass (chicken curry) are great for lunch or dinner. Café Presse is my favorite for Breakfast. Cherry Street Coffee is perfect for coffee anytime. Shopping: there is a corner market on 12th Ave a couple of blocks north of the apartment. There is also a gas station on 12th and Cherry just south of the unit.
  • The cottage was perfect! Just as described and perfect for two of us who spent most of our time exploring. The bed was amazing and comfy (which for a Murphy bed is surprising!). She had tons of amenities and forgotten items around along with tea and snacks as well. The location is a great central location (the only downside was us being there on a few weekdays, parking was slightly an issue during the day, but I think that was because of the university). No problem either way! There was a check in issue with our code not working but we only waited maybe 2 minutes to hear back from her with a new one. Just a really great spot. Would absolutely stay here again.

    Ashley Arden2016-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome spot. Most comfortable bed ever!! Thanks Jessica for really making me feel welcome

    Michael2016-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica communicated with me well in advance of my stay, which is great when you are only reliant on WiFi. She was also really helpful in helping me work out how to get to her place by public transport. The cottage is perfect, small, compact, with a really, really comfortable bed. It's easy to get around Seattle from here and having Ba Bar restaurant, a few metres away was perfect especially for a late arrival as they are open until 2am and the food is lovely

    Clare2016-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Super close to a lot of fun cafes and restaurants.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Beth´s house. Everything was clean, the room was really nice, we were allowed to cook and had a really nice chat with Beth and her aunt. Both helped us with any questions and when we left with all our heavy luggage, Beth even offered to bring us to the Link Station. If we´re ever coming back to Seattle we would love to stay with Beth and her wonderful family again. Thanks for everything!

  • Beth is a wonderful person. She is welcoming and generous. She made us feel at home and even took time after work to take us around to places we wouldn't have visited otherwise and treated us to a drink. We were very happy to be at her place. We couldn't have asked for a better host.

  • We stayed two nights at Maddy's - the apartment was clean and well appointed. The bedroom was a bit too cosy for our comfort, the bed was up against the wall, but the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a good size. The kitchen was okay. Very convenient, close to shops and busses to City and airport. Maddy has provided a nice place for a good price.

    Julia2014-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • I was very comfortable and the place was exactly what I needed, great location. It was also very clean and well organized. Maddy was also available if I had any questions or needed anything. Great experience and would recommend staying here.

    Kima2015-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Our host made us feel welcome from the very beginning. She answered all our question and welcomed us warmly. Directions to her home were clear and she helped us find a supermarket and a shopping center near to her home that helped us organize ourselves well and quickly. She went out of her ways to provide anything and everything needed. Maddy was a wonderful hostess.

    Ramon2015-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • We never met Maddy, but she was great at responding to any of our questions. The studio was comfortable, but the location isn't actually very close to downtown.

It was an easy drive to downtown and there was always parking right outside. Maddy was quick to help with whatever we needed and professional. Thanks for a great stay!

  • Maddy's place was absolutely great. We felt very comfortable and a little like home. Everything was clean and in good condition. We did really enjoy our stay! Should you ever go to Seattle, you should definitely consider Maddy.

**Please click on "read more" and read everything below before booking** Our place is a bit unusual and we want to be sure it's a great match for your style of traveling. Please read all details below, plus the house rules so you don't miss anything that might really matter to you once you get here (shared bathroom, ladder, etc) • This is studio #17 - a private airbnb room designed as a simple & affordable space for arts-related guests near the heart of Seattle's downtown gallery district. But you don't have to be an artist to stay here - all are welcome! •You'll have this private room all to yourself. It's located among 15 other art studios on the 2nd floor of our building in the Japantown area of Seattle's historic International District. It has an upper bed-loft with a luxurious Novaform queen mattress & very comfortable bedding - plus a sweet skylight above the bed. The lower portion of the room has a small couch (not meant for sleeping), desk & chair, and other basic furniture. Free wifi and satellite TV w/HBO are included. Shared bathrooms & kitchenette are very close by. ~~~~~~~~~ important notes: • The room has a skylight over the bed up in the loft, and no regular windows. The skylight has a window shade. For air circulation there's a ventilation exhaust fan on the ceiling, and an in-wall vent that draws fresh air in from the hallway. In the summer the room has an air conditioner. • We don't recommend booking this room if you have trouble climbing stairs & ladders. There is a pretty long flight of stairs to get up to our floor (no elevator), and you'll need to climb a ladder to get up into the bed area of the loft. The couch is small and is not meant for sleeping. • You'll have access to 2 shared bathrooms nearby down the hallway, one with a shower. You can also use our shared kitchenette area with fridge & microwave (no stove). Although there are other artists working in the building and sharing these common areas, they don't live here and most of the time you'll hardly see anyone around. Check out our many reviews for feedback about the shared bathrooms if you're wondering... • Our listing is a little unusual and we want to be sure it's going to meet your needs before you choose to book it. Please send us a note with the secret code word TEDDY (that's our dog) - this will let us know you hung in there and read the whole thing. • Also before booking make sure your user i.d. profile is complete, including a good clear photo of you. It helps with security in our building to be able to identify guests. Thank you!
This is a fun & interesting international neighborhood with lots of quirky shops and tons of food choices - including a great sushi restaurant right in our building. There's quick take-out to high end, and everything in between. Uwajimaya Asian specialty supermarket is close by, plus coffee shops & bakeries - you won't go hungry in this neighborhood! • Check our online Guidebook to see all the great restaurants & attractions we've bookmarked in our neighborhood. We also have a guidebook in the room when you arrive with some of our favorite spots nearby for food, plus maps and other details. • We're just a few blocks from the baseball & soccer/football stadiums. There are many bars and clubs within walking distance, and even more just a quick bus ride away. Since the building is right downtown you can also easily visit the Seattle Art Museum, Sculpture Park, Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, Experience Music Project, and many other great Seattle attractions. • Please note that we're right next to the Pioneer Square neighborhood, which tends to have some homeless people on the streets. Along with the conveniences of being right downtown - great public transportation & cool places to visit - this is city life and we don't recommend walking around by yourself late at night.
  • This was a fantastic Airbnb experience. The apartment is an excellent place to stay. There's a cozy lofted bed, clear instructions for everything, a nice hot shower, and an apartment that feels safe and tidy. Dirk and Jaq are clearly professional hosts. This place has the comfort of a hotel with the warmth of a home. Highly recommended.

  • Great location for built bus and connection to air train to the airport. Good hosts and instructions. Well appointed

  • We enjoyed our stay in the loft space. We traveled by train and arrive only a few blocks away at Kings Station. It's a great location from Downtown and Chinatown, as well as several public transit lines and the light rail. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within a 5 minute walk. The room was a comfortable size and the loft was very sturdy. The bed was extremely comfortable! One slight downside, The room is right next to the kitchen so you can hear people working their way around the kitchen or going in or out of rooms. It's not much of a problem for deep sleepers, like my boyfriend, but if you can be a light sleeper sometimes, you may want to come prepared with ear plugs or music. Even though we never met the hosts in person, they communicated very well. Check-in and entry were smooth and easy. There was scheduled maintenance work the weekend of our stay but Jaq and Dirk alerted us in advance and had proper alternatives to the water being shut off. Thanks for a comfy stay! We enjoyed our stay in the International District of Seattle!

  • Great room in a very convenient location, just 2 blocks from the light rail station, and exactly as I expected from their posted description. I will be staying here again when I travel to Seattle, without execption. The neighborhood near their building has lots of great eating spots. About 5 blocks away was a delightful place called McCoy's Firehouse. I really enjoyed seeing Jaq's Art Studio, and listening to her describe her work.

  • The loft was exactly what I was expecting. The description was very on point. The only thing I can think of that was a disappointment would be the AC unit. I was only in the room at night to sleep but when I would be out all day and come back, the room's temperature would be at around 82. Of course, I did visit Seattle during the heat wave so I highly doubt it's typically like that. Other than that I would highly recommend staying here. The location was perfect! Both Dirk, and Jaq are very nice and accommodating people.

  • The location was perfect for our stay since you can walk to either stadium, pikes market and the river front. Public transportation is close.

  • Good for short stays and centrally located. Comfortable bed!

    Adina & Duncan2013-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The loft was conveniently located a couple of blocks away from the Seattle light rail station, making the trip from SeaTac very easy. The rooms and bathroom were clean and everything we needed was provided! Dirk and Jaq were very responsive and quick to answer any questions we had about the check in / check out process. They even allowed us to store our bags on our check out day as our plane didn't depart until 10pm.

A great place with an ASTOUNDING view! Excellent location adjacent to Pike's Place market, just down Post Alley from the infamous Gum Wall. Super close to all the attractions by the piers and a very comfortable apartment. Thank you! Mike & Annie.

Julie was an excellent host and her garden cottage was in a great location within walking distance to Lake Washington, a grocery store and a street with shops/restaurants. The Light Rail train stop is nearby and easy to get to downtown Seattle. The garden was beautiful and the hot tub was great to relax in.
