  • Booked a cabin with hot tub for a long weekend away with our two small dogs. When the weekend arrived it was snowing but this just added to the magical feel of the place. As the weather turned worse we ended up being the only guests there! The hot tub was all set up and ready for us and there were logs on hand to put in the wood burner. The grounds are stunning, especially in the snow! Great hosts, who went out of their way to check we were ok and had everything we needed. It was just what we needed, thank you!

  • Very good lodge, location and facilities

    Adam2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing few days at Alpine Grove. Our hut was lovely and had everything we needed, and the hot tub made our experience extra special. The surroundings are beautiful and we went on a great circular walk in the stunning countryside. Richard and Helen were really friendly and accommodating - we didn't want to leave.

    Emily2015-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • We went here off season and it was very nice and tranquil. Everything about the cabin was practical and the hot tub was very good. The dog also loved it immensely. I heard a woodpecker most mornings. I would definitely recommend it to friends.

    Amy2017-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We both had a amazing time and felt it was almost our own secluded area in the park. Keith and Serena were both extremely helpful if we needed anything and would definitely come back again in future!

    Chris2018-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely lodge ! Well equipped for anything you need, lovely location only a 40 minute walk to nearest town or 5 minute drive, if you want to just get away from everyday life and just do nothing for a few days but sleep eat and get in the hot tub, this is the best place for you ! So beautiful, would love to see what it's like in the summer !

    Jade2017-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay at Alpine Grove, the cabin was very cosy and included all the essentials that you could think of. The outdoor swimming pool was great and the grounds were stunning. The campsite has the cutest little dog who was always around which made our stay even better.

    Asha2015-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Richard, our host, was really good. Everything was explained on arrival and our hot tub ready! Always there when we needed him. The Log Cabins are clean, well designed and fully equipped. Outside eating area and fire-pit (on request). Cabins are nicely secluded for privacy. We loved it! Alpine Grove is ideally placed for the local attractions including the Jurassic Coast and some nice beaches, Cheddar Gorge and loads to do for kids including theme parks. We found lots of information left for us in the Cabin.

Our cosy Studio for 2 nestles on the edge of woodland, yet only 5 mins away from Shaftesbury in Dorset. Wake up to bird song, go for long walks right from the door step, explore many nearby attractions, enjoy a meal or drink on the private terrace.
This self contained, modern & comfortable studio annex as its own entrance with private terrace and outdoor space. The property sits in an area of outstanding natural beauty, nestled on the hillside on the edge of ancient woodland. The property is set in 1 acre of wildlife gardens in a quiet hamlet just 5 minutes drive from the historic hill town of Shaftesbury on the border between Dorset and Wiltshire. We are located about 1.5miles outside Shaftesbury in a small hamlet on the edge of the woods. The Studio has a very comfortable King size bed (5 feet wide and 6 feet 6 inches long – 150 x 198 cm), well equipped kitchenette, sitting & dining area, a quite small shower room with basin and toilet, and a walk-in wardrobe/storage. Ideal for walking holidays and short breaks. The studio is well located if you want to visit the End of the Road Festival or Larmer Tree Festival. The kitchenette is well equipped, including full size fridge with freezer compartment, oven with grill, 2 plate induction hob, kettle, toaster and extractor fan. The Studio is ideal for individual travellers, close friends or couples (we welcome all couples!). We're also happy to accommodate parents with babies, but you will need to bring your own cot. Please note that children need to be supervised in the garden! There is a 42" TV with Freesat and DVD player, free Wifi Internet connection (although this can sometimes be slow or disrupted because of our rural location - we can therefore not guarantee the internet service) and stereo speakers for plugging in your iPod or MP3 Player. A selections of DVDs, games and books are available. Outside is a picnic table and we are happy to provide a BBQ at request (please purchase your own BBQ coal). You can view the many different birds on the bird feeders, stroll around the wild gardens or sit in one of several quiet benches around the garden. Please note that we basically live in the woods, so there is no view from the Studio terrace. However, guests are welcome to stroll to the end of the garden and enjoy some views from the bench. There is a well stocked village store only 2 miles away in the village of Ludwell, a small grocery store at the petrol station 1 mile away. In Shaftesbury you will find a large Tesco superstore and a lovely town centre with interesting shops and cafés including some very nice food shops. There's a market on Thursday mornings. Shaftesbury is famous for its Gold Hill (from the Hovis Bread ad), it's Abbey, historic buildings and the amazing views across the Blackmore Vale. Salisbury is only 35mins drive to the east and Bath an hour north. An hours drive will also get you to some of the most stunning beaches of the Jurrasic Coast. We have created our house and the Studio as environmentally friendly as possible. We have solar panels to help heat the water and Solar PV to generate electricity. Rainwater is collected and feeds the toilets in the house. We use environmentally friendly cleaning materials and recycle and compost. The Studio is extremely well insulated and has central heating. Please note: both the central heating and hot water are heated by an air source heat pump. Tis is a very efficient and low energy system but works on low temperatures. Therefore please wait 10 minutes between showers, as there may otherwise not be enough hot water available. Similarly the central heating does work on low heat, therefore please don't expect the radiators to be piping hot. The temperature in the Studio should always be comfortable. If not, please let us know as the settings may need adjusting. What makes our place unique is the location. You will be right at the edge of the woods. Deer and badgers sometimes visit the garden and we have an abundance of different birds including Woodpeckers, Long Tail Tits, Jays, Song Thrushes and Bull Finches. You will find some wonderful walks (short and long) right on your doorstep. Yet we are only a 5 minute drive from Shaftesbury, Dorset which has an good selections of independent shops & cafés and a large Tesco. You can park free in Tesco carpark for 3 hours and walk into town from there. The Jurassic Coast (Poole, Studland, Weymouth) or Bath are within an hours drive. We run a non-smoking property, but you are welcome to smoke outside. Just leave your cigarette butts in the receptacle provided outside your entry door. We have a dog ourselves, so know how difficult it is to find accommodation that allows dogs. As the Studio is only a one-room accommodation, it is not suitable for large dogs. But if you do want to bring a small dog, please ask and we will consider it. A surcharge of £5 per night for bring a dog applies. We also have a cat, Misty. She's basically an outdoor cat, but she likes to manipulate guests to let her into the Studio. You should know this if you're allergic to cats, as we cannot guarantee that the Studio doesn't contain allergens. Also if you do not want her in your room, just chuck her out and keep the windows open only a small gap at night, as otherwise you might receive an unwanted visitor.
My favourite thing about living here is that one can go on walks from 30 minutes to 3 hours through the most glorious country side and woodlands right from our door step. Guests always comment on how well they sleep here because it is so quite and how they like being woken up by bird song. You really are in the midst of nature, yet only a 5 minute drive away from Shaftesbury on the Dorset/Wiltshire border. You can walk into town if you wish. It will take you approximately 40-45 minutes through fields and woodland. Salisbury is a 40 mins and day-trips can be taken to Bath, Stourhead, Poole, Weymouth and the Jurassic Coast.
  • The hosts were lovely and we felt very comfortable during our stay. The cabin is small but has everything you need and the scenery around you is gorgeous. I would recommend .

  • We had a great weekend in the lovely Eco hide-away. Really enjoyed seeing all the birds in the morning. A very peaceful, relaxing place in beautiful countryside. Clean and spacious studio was perfect. And the home made apricot jam was very tasty too! Would highly recommend.

  • A lovely quiet hideaway in a beautiful part of the country. Plenty to explore on foot in the immediate area. Stourhead ( National Trust) was gorgeous even in the rain!!

  • A wonderful nice house, a quiet place in the middle of the green. And a perfect base to explore Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset.

    Rieky2017-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great retreat, everything you need including ordinance survey map, great breakfast and walks on your doorstep. easy, pretty walks to Shaftesbury and to the rising sun pub on the A30. Totally brilliant, comfortable and peaceful. We would love to come again.

    Kirsty2013-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great host and wonderful stay at the eco hide-away. Was exactly as described and in a great location close to lots of amazing countryside. Would highly recommend!

    paul2014-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • It was perfect - even better than expected! Five stars seems too few. Many, many thanks for sharing your wonderful accommodation.

    Jodie2015-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a comfortable and enjoyable stay at Gabriela's eco hideaway. Everything was as described and better! Gabriela and Neil were very friendly, and their eco house is overall a very cool place to visit. You have the entrance to the woods on the doorstep, and Gabriela left an OS map (which we used extensively) which helps you find your way through the public footpaths. You will most likely encounter many cows, sheep and pheasants at some points. Neighbours are also friendly and helpful if you're stuck! The one thing I'd say is if you are travelling without a car be aware that taxis need to be booked well in advance around school times, as there is limited availability in the whole area, and you cannot really get to the towns and villages without a car after dark. If you're looking for a quiet getaway with many country walks, this is definitely the place. Thanks!

Stunning, quiet little cottage nestled in the hills of Marshwood Vale 3 miles from the sea. Sip wine on the terrace surrounded by wildlife, stargaze from your bed or visit all the wonderful things Lyme Regis, Bridport and this area have to offer.
A delightful little cottage at the edge of a quiet village set in the Marshwood Vale. Wonderful walking through the vale, to the sea, or on the national trust land along the coast, all from your front door or a very short drive. Maps in the cottage and we are happy to help with routes. Although for two it is very spacious, with a large double bedroom, skylight above the bed, (with a blackout blind if you prefer no starlight!) large cottage kitchen diner, sitting room, wonderful bathroom with extra deep enamel bath and drenching shower. Outside you have the decked, covered terrace with masses of seating, comfy chairs and dining chairs/table, and patio heaters. The house is full of character and light, a truly restful place to be with masses to do on your doorstep. The cottage allows for a dog or two, the garden has a dog proof fence around it...unless they are high jumpers. We don't allow them in the bedroom and there is a gate to stop them.
Bonhays Barn is ideally situated for the Jurassic Coast, wonderful walking, watersports and the vibrant local towns of Bridport and Lyme Regis. Bridport with its markets (Weds/Sat), vintage section and wonderful Cafes and restaurants. Lyme Regis is famous for its beauty as a seaside town, restaurants and many festivals throughout the summer.
  • We had a lovely stay in the cottage and our dog loved exploring the garden. The bed was really confortable and there was lots of space to spread out, great to have a separate sitting room too. Tony reccomended a couple of lovely walks and restaurants too and we'd love to come back in the future

  • We loved this little cottage once we knew how to get there and the best route to use. The welcome basket was much appreciated, thanks Tony! And don't miss seeing the lovely sunsets from the loft skylight. Peaceful spot and again thanks.

  • Relaxing place to stay, sitting on patio or garden. lots of space inside and out. well equipped kitchen with plenty of supplies to get going in terms of breakfast. the cottage is on site of the farm so people working but not disturbed at all yet around if wr had questions. There's no pub or shops in the village which might not be for everyone. Great location to explore Jurassic coast.

  • Beautiful place - exactly as described, really clean, very clear instructions and really friendly hosts. Thanks so much!

  • This cottage was lovely, my wife and I enjoyed a really relaxing four night stay. Early April in this part of Dorset is lovely, Primroses on the roadside everywhere. You really feel part of the surrounding countryside at this ideal cottage. Thanks Tony for the local walks and coffee shops 'knowledge'. Cheers.

  • We were welcomed by hosts at this amazing property. It instantly felt homely and a lovely welcome hamper was on the farmhouse table. We were provided with great information on walks, restaurants and local towns and villages. This was our 1st holiday away with our dogs and they were made just as welcome, the garden was perfect for them, well fenced in, safe and large enough to explore. The bed was extremely comfy and we slept very well throughout stay, We would highly recommend this place for a peaceful get away break in a great part of the country.

  • Arrived at the cabin (thanks Humphrey for the directions) with high expectations after reading reviews, and having spent a night in Humphreys beautifully secluded cabin, can honestly say it exceeded those expectations. The cabin is well equipped, with a big comfortable bed, shower, small oven, fridge, sink and even a TV and WiFi. Be sure to eat at the anchor which is a stones throw away. Excellent food and an even better view. Overall, a memorable stay in Humphreys cabin, I cannot recommend it enough.

The Anchor pub next door provided us with a fabulous meal and the setting is just perfect for a stroll on the beach or a walk along the coast path. We'll definitely look into visiting again, though possibly in the summer next time to make the most of the outdoor space and surroundings.

    Kerry2017-01-29T00:00:00Z

  • My partner and I had a great stay at Nicole's place. We were met on arrival by our hosts who showed us around and explained everything in the house, as well as giving us information about the local area. It was great to have this as many hosts aren't so helpful. The place had everything we needed, including lots of additional information on the surrounding areas. It's extremely stylish and comfortable, and we enjoyed seeing the many interesting birds that visited us daily right outside our windows! Thanks Nicole, we'd love to come back.

    Cinzia2018-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great accommodation and hosts. As first guests here there were a few minor issues, but Nicole did her best to get these rectified as soon as possible. Would love to come back for another relaxing stay sometime. Recommended property and hosts.

    Celia2018-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • The barn is a very comfortable and stylish place to stay with all of the New Forest on your doorstep. Nicole was helpful both before and during our visit giving local tips so we would recommend anyone staying here.

Our lovely double height wood and stone barn directly opposite our house is found at the end of a long private drive in glorious countryside. An incredibly comfortable 5ft bed, woodburning stove and lovely views, a perfect relaxing and cosy retreat. Easy access to lots of interesting places. Guests can play tennis and croquet. The Barn sleeps two adults. Ample parking directly next to Barn. Please note the Barn is not suitable for children. NB There are no shops or pubs within walking distance.
The Barn is set at the end of a long drive, well away from any road, in a private 33 acre estate, no noise, no light pollution, just peace and quiet. Although directly opposite the main house, it is quite private. High ceilings, french windows with country views, kingsize double bed, wood burning stove, oak dining table with candles, WIFI (not super fast or that strong), TV DVD player - everything you need for a comfortable weekend or longer stay. It is not a hi-tech/spec barn but it is comfy and in a beautiful setting. Parking directly next to the Barn. Well situated for visits to Bath, Salisbury, the Jurassic Coast, Gold Hill, the new Hauser & Wirth gallery/restaurant in Bruton, Longleat, and much more. Fantastic walking and cycling country. Adjacent to Copse View alpaca walking as seen on Countryfile! One king bed on the mezzanine level in the Barn. Private BBQ area Tennis Court Croquet Lawn Clay pigeon shooting (extra cost) We are happy to collect guests from nearby railway station at Gillingham, Dorset (where there is Waitrose/Lidl/Asda). Bear in mind nearest pub would then be 30 mins walk. Beautiful unspoilt countryside - watch the deer and buzzards from the windows - and lots of good pubs nearby. Excellent access to lots of lovely places - Bath, Salisbury, Stonehenge, Stourhead, Jurassic Coast. Bed made up with 100% Egyptian cotton linen, towels provided. Gas rings, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine. NB The steps to mezzanine are quite steep. No bath, only a shower. NB There is wifi but being in the country it is not strong enough to download movies etc
  • What a beautiful barn, peaceful, quiet and homely. Stairs to mezzanine level were steep, not a criticism just so you are aware. Cara and Stuart were there if you needed them but didn't disturb us, just left us to our own devices. They were very friendly, explaining everything we needed to know and offering suggestions of places of interest. Fantastic hosts. Lottie the lab is lovely, very friendly and loves having her tummy ticked. Wonderful.

    James2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely barn on quiet private land just as described. Our host, Cara was excellent at making us feel at home and was always available should we need it. The barn had everything we needed and offered the perfect retreat.

  • Really great location nestled away in the English countryside. The barn was beautiful inside and out and had everything we needed for our stay. Cara was away but her friend was a lovely host. She made sure to show us around and make us feel at home. Car was a must as it is not possible to get around without one.

    Matthew2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic weekend in Cara's barn. The location is perfect! a ten min drive into Shaftesbury. We didn't want to leave after two cosy nights in front of the fire! Looking forward to staying again! Thank you very much!!

    Ed2017-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • This stay exceeded my expectations and I did not want to leave! The barn, the setting, the location (endless views of the countryside!) were outstanding, but what truly made this place so special were the hosts, Cara and Stuart. You cannot ask for better AirBnb hosts-they were so warm, welcoming and made me feel so at home. Their communication was top-notch. The barn was dreamy and even better than the photos, which I didn't think was even possible. They clearly take care of their property and barn. It was very clean and beyond comfortable. I was so lucky to find such a fantastic location with the best hosts any traveler could ask for! I am so grateful that people like Cara and Stuart open up their home for others to enjoy. I have not stopped dreaming of the English countryside and I cannot wait to return.

    Rachel2015-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Cara and her husband Stuart (Stewart - sorry don't know which spelling), made our stay absolutely wonderful. They were simply lovely, kind and generous people who made us feel right at home. The barn is exactly how is looks in the photos and the countryside is even more beautiful. The log burning stove was an absolute treat and it felt very homely throughout. A great stay definitely. We will be back for sure.

    Jennifer2015-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location trumped by Cara's warm welcome.

    Pete2016-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had the perfect stay at Cara & Stuart's lovely barn in September. There were really nice touches like biscuits and milk on our arrival, as well as a fire laid, ready to make the space warm & cosy. It was just what we needed - a comfortable and picturesque bolt hole to come back to after spending our afternoons at a festival nearby. Cara also gave us a box of their hens' delicious eggs - worth going back for just for those! Thank you for going that extra mile and enduring we had the perfect stay.

  • had a lovely time in this little cottage, great location, we visited bristol, bath and glastonbury on our visit. Hot tub was brillant, would stay again.

  • The cottage was comfortable and clean with lovely cake on arrival and the enclosed garden was great for our dog. There are plenty of interesting places to visit nearby. The listing needs to make clear the "Cider Barn" shares the space with other large holiday houses and the shared pool, although lovely, is right next to the the cottage garden. This combined with being next to a busy A road doesn't make it a "rural retreat".

  • It was overall fine. A bit chilly, but that's par for January. The nearest bus stop was about a mile away, but the walk was generally pleasant.

  • We are only from Devon but haven't really explored Somerset much; I have to say I didn't realise how beautiful it was! Had a really lovely stay at this gorgeous little barn. Had everything we needed for a relaxing stay with beautiful walks and local pubs near by. The only thing we would say is the garden and hot tub was a little less private than expected but wasn't really an issue as was such a relaxing environment anyway. Would really recommend for a lovely little trip away in a gorgeous area Thank you-was just what we needed!

  • Thank you for an amazing trip, the cider barn was a lovely place to spend a few days in the hot tub and your recommendation of the Devonshire Arms was excellent as we had a fantastic meal.

The Barn is a beautifully restored cottage in the New Forest. You will love staying here for a romantic getaway or for a relaxing holiday for two. Cosy up in front of the fire after enjoying long walks or cycle rides in the Forest or visiting one of the quaint Forest villages. If you do not fancy heading out for dinner, you can enjoy cooking in the spacious kitchen. You will love the beautiful mezzanine bedroom, which is accessed by a stunning spiral staircase, and the luxury bathroom.
Nestled in the ancient North Ridge of The New Forest National Park, The Barn provides a peaceful hideway to relax and enjoy the unique beauty of the forest. Situated within the forest boundary, inside the cattle grid areas, our regular visitors include the famous ponies and cattle that make the forest such a stunning wildlife environment. Whilst deer are a rare sight, we often welcome a small herd into the paddocks, to enjoy some free grazing! The Barn has been beautifully restored to provide an open plan living area with a mezzanine bedroom and bathroom, which is accessed by a stunning spiral staircase. The Barn has underfloor heating throughout and a cosy wood burning stove for chilly evenings. The kitchen is well-equipped with a sink, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric hob and oven. Dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, cleaning products, dish cloths and tea towels are provided. Milk, coffee, tea and sugar are provided on arrival. The living area has a two seater sofa, a tv and blu-ray player. Some books and blu-rays are provided for guests use. There is a wood burning stove for those chilly evenings. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed with hotel quality linen. The bedroom leads to a well sized ensuite bathroom with fluffy towels and plenty of space for wash bags. Outside is a private patio with outside lighting where you can relax in the sun. There is a private parking space available for guests.
We would love to welcome you to our peace of paradise. We have both given up successful careers in London since our twin boys were born in 2013. We moved to the New Forest at the end of 2014 and just love welcoming guests to our beautiful holiday cottages. We have five cottages in total and welcome larger family or friend groups wishing to use multiple cottages for a special event or annual holiday together. We are pretty much in the middle of nowhere, with only a small holding as neighbours. Cross the road and you will find open heathland, forested areas, small rivers and plenty of wildlife. There are lovely paths to explore for an early evening stroll or a proper hike. You can bring your bikes or hire them locally and explore the extensive off road cycle network in the Forest. Road cycling is very popular too and there are regular races held. There are plenty of pubs nearby which serve good food and serve good beer. There is a little village shop 2 miles away, and bigger supermarkets a little further away. You are more than welcome to get online shopping delivered after your arrival.

  • The barn is amazing! Very very nice and cosy, the cleanest place we've ever been using Airbnb. It has everything you need to have an incredible stay, in the middle of the new forest and very close to local amenities. The fireplace is a really nice touch and the design of the barn is great! it felt like spending the weekend in one of those TV / magazine houses. Astrid was great and very helpful! Definitely we recommend it and would like to come back later in the year! Thanks Astrid for the hospitality!

  • The Bothy is a really special place to stay- so cosy and comfortable and spotless - the hot tub and log burner make it outstanding. Loved sitting in the hot tub and gazing up at the stars , with a glass of prosecco in hand, then coming in to sit in front of the fire. It’s set in beautiful countryside but so close to lots of different places to visit too.We had a lovely meal out at The Foresters Arms which is within walking distance. All in all a 5* stay- all the reviews are true . Finally, thank you so much Chris and Christine for being such fab and thoughtful hosts- all the little extra touches like the cakes, milk and bread were much appreciated.

On arrival, we were given some lovely food essentials to make the perfect breakfast, topped off with a freshly baked Victoria sponge which was delightful! The Bothy is situated in the heart of the New Forest and is the perfect base for exploring the beautiful countryside, as well as visiting the seaside.

  • An amazing weekend spent in an idyllic location. From the moment we stepped out of the car we received a warm welcome which set the tone for a lovely 2 days at the Bothy. The cottage is all you would need and more with the log fire and claw foot bath as personal highlights. Chrissy and her partner were amazing hosts proving us with all the information you could want and even lent us a couple of rain jackets for a long walk in the Forrest. The best weekend away in a very long time. 5*. P.s the home made Cake was amazing

The Barn is a delightful studio apartment, situated next to our family home in the quaint village of Burley, New Forest. Recently refurbished, the barn features an open plan living, kitchen and sleeping area with its own private entrance and small outside space with eating area and space for a BBQ. It is a truly fantastic base for you to enjoy what the national park has to offer; including walking, bike riding, horse riding, or exploring the beaches of the south coast.
Inside, the barn features a full kitchen which includes an oven, hob, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities. A choice of eating areas either at the breakfast bar or at the dining area table. There is a comfortable sitting area with Smart TV, wireless internet and whole range of DVD’s, books, board games - something for every one to enjoy. Our guests can enjoy a cosy reading corner with high back chair and a overhead lamp. There is also a self-contained shower room which features a sink, toilet and freestanding shower.
The Barn is surrounded by woodland, and just 100 meters from open new forest heathland, with spectacular views reaching towards the Purbecks. This is an amazing spot for a picnic glass of wine or a beer and watch one of the best sunset views in the new forest over the moor. We have picnic blankets and hamper for our guests to enjoy as they wish. We regularly have deer and horses outside the gates grazing which our guests love to see. The village is a 15 min walk through the woods in both directions which loop around to make a really nice distance stroll, with a pub or cafe break in the middle. The village has a couple of country pubs perfect for a nice meal and drink, and a selection of quirky shops. Just 3 miles down the road is the Market Town of Ringwood with a range shops and supermarkets.
  • A fantastic space with spectacular views just a short distance away. So close to nature with wild horses just outside and we were lucky enough to catch a herd of deer running past as we left for a walk. Emily was kind enough to loan us a baby bath which was a great help and you can easily prepare yourself a meal in the well equipped kitchen. A perfect stay for our little family (myself, wife and 4 month old baby). We'll hopefully be back in a few years!

    Phil2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • The barn is exactly as it is described if not better. The location is perfect, close enough to pubs & shops but literally in the middle of the forest with unforgettable views just minutes from your door. We stayed with our 17 month old son and Emily gave us lots of extras inc travel cot / bath / toys etc so he was well looked after. You could not be disappointed with your stay, it is a really unique place which we were sad to leave. We will definitely be back. Thanks, Steve

    Steve2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • The barn is lovely, cosy and clean and we loved how the space was decorated. Emily was a great host providing breakfast bits and little thoughtful touches around the barn, we really appreciated it! Really nice place to stay, it would definitely be cute during winter!

    Mya2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • The Barn could not have been more perfect for our first trip to the new forest with our little bulldog. The space is bigger than I expected, with so many thoughtful touches to help you on your way to countryside living. The view beyond the deer and horse filled trees is breathtaking. I would certainly recommend and hope to return one day!

    Sophie2018-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great long weekend at The Barn to celebrate my husbands birthday. The place is well equipped and is located right in the heart of the woods, with beautiful views right outside the door. Burley village is a 20 minute walk away and is home to pubs, shops and delicious ice cream! We hired bikes from New Forest Cycle and had a great time exploring the surrounding areas. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to escape for a few days!

    Felicity2018-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cabin in an idyllic spot! Emily really did think of everything, with the cabin being so well equipped! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return!

    Georgia2018-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful location! Tucked up a gravel drive in the heart of the new forest, with ponies and deer on the doorstep. We had a fabulous few days in Emily’s place. The instructions left by Emily were clear and very helpful for finding our way around locally. The house is a great space, ideal for my husband, our little boy and I. They even left us toys for our little one - a great help on some rainy days. Thank you for the excellent hospitality.

A self contained hilltop retreat with stunning panoramic rural views. The Pink Tower is a wooden octagonal building attached to the owners cottage on a working farm (pigs, sheep, arable). Set a quarter of a mile along the ancient OxDrove renowned for beautiful walks, it is situated right on the borders of Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire.
Light, airy living area and kitchen is located on the top floor with the bedroom and bathroom downstairs. Private entrance gate off the track leads into a small enclosed garden with gravel areas and flower beds. Two wooden steps lead onto decking and the property's own front door.
  • Amazing little find that has all you need. Close to lots of lovely walks and the New forest is about 30mins away if you wanted to venture out further. Linda was so helpful from the point of booking and all throughout our stay. Really can't recommend enough. Thanks Linda! P.s the night sky is incredible from the little balcony

    Amy2018-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved the Tower. Such a special and tranquil, one of a kind place. Will definitely be returning. Great country walks, fresh duck eggs on check in and dogs welcome :)

    Bonita2018-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely break away at the Pink Tower. The views would have been spectacular, if the weather had given it a chance, and the seclusion was much needed. Linda truly went out of her way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

    Stu2018-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing stay at the pink tower! Linda was an amazing host, with thoughtful touches at check in and lots of helpful tips to help us to make the most of the local area. The pink tower is a wonderful retreat in a beautiful setting. Highly recommended!

    Emma2018-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • The tower was clean and cozy in a peaceful, scenic part of the countryside. Nice local walks with our 2 dogs and the Jurassic coast is only 50 minutes away. Linda was great and very accommodating and we would definitely consider coming back again.

    Andrew2018-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful relaxing two days at the pink tower. Linda was lovely friendly and helpful upon both arrival and departure. She let us know where to find her if need be, gave us plenty of information about the area but left us to our own devices after that which was perfect. The accommodation was lovely and the area beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.

  • We have just returned from a lovely stay in The Pink Tower. My Daughter Daisy, who is 4 was very excited about staying in a pink tower and Linda was a lovely host and even left her a crown so she could feel like a princess :) Linda also left us some nice blue duck eggs for breakfast which were delicious. The space is beautiful and very clean, the bed is very comfortable and the tower has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was also lovely and warm and the views are lovely. We went to Paultons Park and Monkey world and the New Forest from here and all were an easy drive so the location is great too. Lovely and quiet as it is up a lane and all you can hear in the morning is the birds singing. I would have no hesitation is recommending the Pink Tower at all. Thank you Linda.

A new log cabin built autumn 2015 in its own grounds and completely private, overlooking heathland where horses and cattle roam freely 6 months of the year. It's next to farmland with a fishing lake nearby. Great for walks and enjoying the outdoors.
The log cabin is spacious, cosy and comfortable. The sofa in the lounge also converts to a double bed , so up to 6 people can to stay. The cabin sits in an exclusive paddock of one acre surrounded by field, woods and heathland. It is a haven for wildlife. Guests can enjoy the grounds where there is a trampoline and can also enjoy cooking and eating outdoors. There is also a coarse fishing lake in the adjacent farm.
It's location makes the cabin very unique. Its a rural retreat. No neighbours (except the cows, horses, deer and squirrels!) Great for wild life and being close to nature. Completely secluded with a beautiful view of the grounds. A great escape from the city! The Cross Keys pub, which is within walking distance, offers good food. There is also a good selection of country pubs nearby. There are excellent restaurants, pubs in the towns previously mentioned, as well as theatres and nightlife. We have wonderful beaches in Bournemouth and Poole. Close by, we have Potterns Park in Verwood and Moors Valley Country Park. Great for outdoor activities with the family and friends.
  • You can expect a lovely cosy log cabin! It has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The place was super clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable!!! Luisa is lovely to talk to and extremely helpful with details of the local area.

  • Space to breathe in fresh air in the remote heath and woodland setting of East Dorset, everything you could possibly need in a beautifully built lodge.

    Mary2017-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Very cosy and comfortable cabin. It was very cold when we visited but there were plenty of oil heaters to get the place nice and toasty. Only fault was that all the springs have gone in the mattresses in the bunk bed room, so didn’t make for a comfortable sleep. Otherwise a fab stay. Luisa was very kind and helpful with transport info and tips.

    Sarah2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • This log cabin has everything anyone needs to have a good and relaxed time. The two bedrooms, living room, a very well organised kitchen and an amazing bathroom provide a well deserved confort. Luisa was very friendly and provided a very good breakfast with home eggs. The outside space is amazing and if lucky, like we were, a dear may appear while having breakfast. The anouncement is very accurate. If you reserve this log cabin, You won't regret it at all.

    Ricardo2016-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Third time here. We love it. Peaceful, beautiful setting with loads of great things to do. Love using the bbq and visiting the great beaches.

  • Luisa's cabin was wonderful - perfect for a relaxing weekend to unwind. It was spacious and comfortable and Luisa and her husband were so lovely and made us feel so welcome especially with added touches like fresh milk, eggs, and bread. We really enjoyed playing scrabble over a bottle of wine and cooking dinner with food that we got from the farm shop nearby. I really recommend a stay here - thanks Luisa for your hospitality!

If you want something different The Stable Barn will not disappoint.
The cottage surroundings are rural and peaceful whilst having easy access to the main road network. • Such a beautiful property and location, it was better than we expected. It had everything we needed and is clearly well looked after and so clean. We didn't have to drive far to visit lots of stunning locations and could come home and relax in comfort and style. Didn't want to leave and would definitely stay again and again.

    Marion2018-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • I don't want to to tell you that this is lovely, stylish, well equipped, fantastic location, wonderful hostess. I don't want to tell you because I want to keep it to myself! Absolutely 100% for everything.

    Amanda2018-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had 3 nights at the Stable Barn, and fell in love with the place. We used the accommodation as a base to explore as much as we could with our time. Everywhere is really close by, Durdle Door and Lulworth just 10 mins drive away. We visited Swanage, Corfe Castle, Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Studland, Old Harry Rocks. So much more to see in the area, Gail gave us plenty of places to go check out. We had everything you could need at the Barn, we stayed in and cooked every night as it was very comfortable and didt want to leave the cosiness of the place. Highly recommend.

    Tom2018-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a Fantastic find!! I admit I was cautious to book accommodation where I would be the first Air BnB user to do so, but our stay has been fabulous! Gail was so welcoming, and the communication regarding our arrival was spot on. The Barn itself is really cute- a lovely space for a getaway for two, surprisingly spacious and so stylish! Tucked away down a lane it is secluded enough to be lovely and quiet but still close enough to transport links (to Monkey World- most importantly). Can not fault our stay in the slightest, and will be recommending to all who will listen! Thanks Gail!

    Colleen2017-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Stable Barn for four nights and four rather wet and cold days during Easter break. Having to stay in soon started to felt like a reward since Stable Barn provided us with plenty of very stylish and welcoming space, that is immaculately clean, generously equipped and just simply beautiful. Gail is an attentive but discrete host whose local knowledge and suggestions helped us make the most of our outings. We would highly recommend staying at Gail's lovely place.

    Sanja2018-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stable Barn, just wish it could have been longer. The barn has been beautifully converted and felt so spacious and airy, yet was snug and cosy at the same time - the perfect retreat. Everything was spotless and it was so well equipped and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches provided by Gail, who seems to be a mind-reader when it comes to anticipating what her guests may have forgotten to bring with them, such as kitchen roll, towels, shampoo - and the very welcome box of chocolate ginger biscuits! We'd love to return for another visit very soon.

  • SUCH a fab location in beautiful Dorset - easy to get to Dorchester, Poole and everything in between! Especially handy for monkey world and the tank museum, Durdle door and lots of pubs! The space itself is great for two with everything you could need (a really well-equipped kitchen), all spotlessly clean. It's all open-plan and the heat varies a lot down to upstairs, so watch that! Otherwise, a comfortable modern place with a wonderful host that we'd highly recommend.

    Sarah2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice barn conversion with modern renovation inside. I didn't quite manage to put all the interior photos together in my head until we arrived, but basically it's a wonderfully open space - even upstairs and downstairs are not completely separate - but each part of the accommodation (bedroom, sitting area, kitchen etc) feels like its own space within that. Really spacious for a couple. Kitchen is excellently equipped - we cooked our own breakfasts and dinners almost every day with no problem. Location is rural but within an easy drive of lots of the attractions along the coast in this area. Gail was really prompt at responding to queries, and was helpful when we arrived and suggested some things we could do in the area. For some people it may be worthwhile to know that, because the space is so open, it is not really possible (in summer at least) to get the bedroom very dark - there are some skylights further along the same room which don't have blinds. This wasn't a problem for us - I tended to notice it had got light at 5am then go straight back to sleep - but I know some people can struggle with this so it seems worth mentioning. Otherwise, though, my partner and I had a wonderful week here and would return without hesitation if coming this way again.

  • Fantastic hosts - kind and thoughtful and everything went perfectly. The cottage was spotless and the location great. Cosy describes it very well but not in the sense of 'small'...rather that it was very homely and snug. We really enjoyed the stay. Highly recommended!

Our cottage is nestled in the heart of the Bride Valley close to the Jurassic Coast. This recently converted barn has views over our orchard. The cottage is 20 minutes drive from Dorchester and Bridport. Upstairs kitchen area with cooker, fridge, washing machine, lounge area with lots of books, DVD player and DVD,s. Dining area and balcony with seating. Downstairs Large bedroom with Double bed or 2 singles if you prefer. Bathroom with shower. Outside walled garden with seating.
Great views around our little farm, can sit on the balcony and see cows, chickens, ducks. Also we have our beautiful donkeys that love to meet visitors. You may also see a range of wild birds, deer, foxes, rabbits and hares. The cottage is situated in a magical valley with lots of places to explore. Perfect spot for listening to the dawn chorus and star gazing. If you like a rural environment then this is the spot.
Our farm is in a beautiful location, next door to a working cheese dairy. It has the benefit of market towns nearby. Is also close to beaches along Jurassic Coast and so a perfect spot for seeing the sites that Dorset has to offer or for just sitting and watching life on the farm go by. We have two very friendly dogs called Ruby and Honey.
  • We enjoyed our mini break to Dorset, we loved the location of this cottage as it's in a peaceful location but also not too far from the main roads to get around. The cottage is cosy, has beautiful views and we enjoyed meeting the animals. The croissants, cheese, milk etc were all nice touches too and the hosts were very welcoming and helpful, we would recommend and would stay again.

    Carl2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the Old Apple Store. It surpassed our expectations in every way. The accomodation was spacious, very well equipped and done up to a high standard. The welcome pack was the most generous we've had in any accommodation yet - great cheese! We loved seeing the donkeys everyday. Our toddler enjoyed telling us what they and the chickens were up to outside our window. A great shower - everything was perfect! The Jurassic coast is a beautiful area too. Judy and Martin were great hosts who communicated well, were very friendly and approachable but not at all intrusive. Thank you both. We can't wait for our next visit!

    Susan2018-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Old Apple Store is a lovely, quiet piece of Dorset, ideal for a getaway or a base for a walking holiday. Judy and Martin are friendly and welcoming hosts and maintain a well-kept conversion, with 'all mod cons', adjacent to their own home, enabling a good view of the antics of their menagerie of beautiful animals! Their warm welcome included a 'care package' of local produce, including eggs from their own ducks and chickens - the delicious cheese from the adjacent farm led to a purchase on our departure! In short, 5* and highly recommended as a location for a getaway and recharge, which was what we wanted.

    Matthew2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Really beautiful place, in a really beautiful area. This was our first airbnb experience and therefore we didn't really know what to expect. But we couldn't be more pleased. The cottage itself was a lovely little space with everything we needed. Judy made us feel more than welcome, from contacting us before we arrived to let us know she would leave some milk and bits for our arrival, to popping in when we arrived yo check everything was ok. She was available if we needed anything but in no way intrusive, and left us to enjoy out holiday, the perfect host. Thank you very much, we shall see you again shortly.

    Jon2018-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Such a pleasant stay at this beautiful accommodation! highly recommended for a secluded get away with lots to do only a short journey away! Very welcoming and accommodating hosts!

    Emily2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • The 'Old Apple Store' is even nicer than the pics. It is in a beautifully peaceful spot and the basket of goodies left by Judy is the best we've yet had with airbnb. Big, comfortable bed and clean, modern shower room on the ground floor made it cooler for a quiet, good nights sleep. Watching the swifts and swallows from the first floor over dinner and breakfast was a real bonus. Lovely walks on the doorstep.

    David2017-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • The Old Apple Store was the perfect place to have a holiday! Beautiful walks right on the doorstep and we enjoyed meeting all of the lovely animals! The location was perfect for day trips to close by beautiful scenery and great places to eat. Martin and Judy were wonderful hosts, they had thought of everything, including a lovely goodie basket with freshly laid eggs which were delicious. We would definitely recommend a stay there!

Our converted coach house offers a cosy corner in the busy village of Downton from which to visit the historic cathedral city of Salisbury and the open spaces of the New Forest. Parts of the property date back to 1475 with links to the Bishops of Winchester. There is plenty on offer in and around the village, with local shops, gardens, pubs, walks and bicycle rides along the River Avon. Bournemouth beaches are not far away. We welcome dogs but do have a pet charge of £20 for their stay.
There are stairs up to the double bedroom mezzanine, and there is additional accommodation for another adult and child with the full size single bed (doubles up as an extra sofa) and a pull-out single bed underneath. This is a single bed on a wooden base which can stay out and is comfortable. We can also provide a travel cot with bedding, stair gates and a high chair for those with a toddler. We must make you aware of the various STAIRS in the property if you are bringing a crawling baby or toddler.
The pub next door serves good pub food, and has a small cosy bar with lots of atmosphere - perfect for a pint of the local ale. The village of Downton has easy access to local shops and amenities, such as a Co-Op, a local butcher, and an award-winning café. The public gardens, the "Downton Moot" a Norman motte and Bailey and landscaped gardens are just around the corner. The River Avon winds its way through the village.

  • From the moment we arrived Pennie made us feel at home, from some delicious breakfast treats left, to the little homely touches left around the accommodation. Would highly recommend to a couple for a weekend retreat. Just perfect. Also great location to head into the New Forest for all that had to offer! Thanks again

  • We stayed here as a couple for three nights. The coach house is a lovely space and beautifully furnished, with great amenities and a beautiful patio garden. We particularly appreciated the thoughtful little touches such as toiletries and the wonderful breakfast hamper. Pennie was very welcoming and helpful in recommending walks and local restaurants. We were both sorry to leave and would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

  • One of the nicest places I have stayed ever for a BnB. Amazingly presented old carriage house with many modern features. I would totally stay here again and soon.

    David2018-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • The Coach House is a beautiful listed property full of charm. We instantly felt at home in the cosy space and our little boy had such fun exploring the garden. Pennie and Hamish are very welcoming and friendly and have great attention to detail such as lovely toiletries, a coffee machine, candles etc. We even got to sample some of their daughters delicious baking! The highlight for our son was playing with their 10 week old puppy, adorable! A relaxing break that didn’t last long enough, thank you!

    Rachelle2018-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect accommodation in a great location. The Coach House has everything needed for a comfortable stay and the garden is a bonus when the weather is good. Lots of individual touches and breakfast items very welcome. Pennie is a great host; made check-in very easy and provided plenty of information regarding things to do. Location is ideal for visiting the New Forest, the coast, Salisbury, Winchester. Downton itself is a pleasant village, with good local walks. Well-stocked Co-op within easy walking distance. Pub next door offers good food at reasonable prices.

Idyllic country retreat for couples. Self-contained shepherds hut in the heart of the New Forest National Park. 'Maurietty' provides guests with the perfect glamping experience for lovers of the outdoor life who prefer some comfort and luxury. South facing with stunning views, surrounded by wildlife and the open New Forest literally on the doorstep. Quick and easy access to the nearby market towns of Ringwood and Fordingbridge and beyond. Cabin also available which sleeps 2 and allows 1 dog.
Situated on the north/west side of the New Forest National Park, a very short drive from the historic market towns of Fordingbridge and Ringwood, ‘Maurietty’ offers an idyllic place to relax and unwind. Located off the road and a short way along a forest track, it is set on it’s own at the edge of the owners’ 3 ½ acre grounds providing visitors with a high degree of privacy and peace. However, there is also quick and easy access to all main roads for visitors to explore the many villages, towns, cities and beaches that Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire have to offer (if you can tear yourself away from your little retreat!). The site once formed part of Ibsley RAF base during World War II. The block of stables that you look out onto is the old latrine block and a couple of Stanton air raid shelters are in the paddock. Literally to the rear of the hut is the open New Forest. Horse riders frequently go by as well as wildlife such as the New Forest ponies, cattle, donkeys, deer, foxes, badgers and an abundance of birds such as buzzards which are often seen circling above the trees during the summer months. This shepherd's hut offers character and comfort in spades. The little bijou beauty is like a tardis offering a warm and cosy retreat. Inside the fully insulated bespoke hut you'll find all the comforts you would expect from luxury self-catering accommodation. A bathroom with 800x800 shower, wc, wash basin and electric ladder radiator. A kitchenette with belfast sink, microwave, cafetiere, kettle, toaster, electric cooking pan, small fridge, all cutlery and crockery and electric radiator. The 4'6" double bed is built in across one end of the hut with storage underneath, a window and tv with built in freesat and dvd player for those british rainy days when you might want to tuck up and get cosy and watch a film. South facing double french doors flood the hut with sunshine on brighter days and provide a beautiful view out across open fields. Outside there is a designated parking space right next to the hut and an outdoor seating area looking out at the view. Access to the property is via an electric gated entrance for which you will be provided with a code. Award- winning farm shop and cafe that also offers bike hire 0.5 mile (follow the footpath that starts at the back corner of our property), horse riding 1 mile, watersports and fishing lakes 2 miles, thatched pub with restaurant 1 mile (15/20 minute walk). Ringwood (with a Waitrose, Lidl and Sainsbury's) 5 miles and Fordingbridge (with a Co-op and Tesco Express) 2.5 miles. ****If the dates you would like to book won't fit into the booking calendar then please send me a booking request and I will try to accommodate you. ****New for autumn 2018 - our detached cabin, (Little Gate House which we have been running as a holiday let since 2009), which also sleeps 2 (plus 1 dog allowed) is also now listed on Airbnb. So 4 people could actually come away together (2 in the hut and 2 in the cabin). ****Please note that WiFi can sometimes be unreliable due to our countryside location despite the area recently having fibre optic broadband installed. It’s something we’ve learnt to live with - thank goodness for 4G!!
The New Forest is a former royal hunting ground in the south of England. It was created in 1079 by William I (known as William the Conqueror) as a hunting area, principally deer. Nearly 1000 years later the ancient landscape of his ‘Nova Foresta’ remains almost unchanged and in March 2005 was designated the 8th National Park in England. The park lies mainly in south-west Hampshire, from east of the Avon Valley to Southampton water and from the Solent coast to the edge of the Wiltshire chalk downs covering some 140,000 acres. It is a unique area of historical, ecological and agricultural significance, and retains many of the rural practices conceded by the Crown in historical times to local people. Principal of these is the pasturing of ponies, cattle, pigs and donkeys in the open forest by local inhabitants known as commoners. It is an outstanding recreational area for walking, cycling and riding. North Gorley is a hamlet in the New Forest National Park. Its nearest town is Fordingbridge, which lies approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) north of the hamlet. North Gorley is very quiet and has narrow country lanes which we share with ponies, donkeys, cattle, deer, horse riders etc. North Gorley has one inn, The Royal Oak, which claims to be a former Royal hunting lodge and is a 5 minute drive or a 15/20 minute walk and serves great food. Guests can also walk to the award-winning café and farm shop 'Hockeys Farm' which is approx. half a mile away in South Gorley . They serve an all day cooked breakfast and also provide a bike hire service. It's a 5 minute drive to the A338 which gives access north to Fordingbridge and the medieval cathedral city of Salisbury, and south to Ringwood and the A31 east to Southampton and west to Bournemouth and Poole. It's a 25 minute drive to the South Coast's beautiful beaches. The New Forest is known as a lovely tourist honey pot, but there is a big local secret: the north west quarter is quiet and remote. This is the 'proper' Forest with lovely quiet countryside, animals galore, and even on a bank holiday weekend you can still walk for miles without meeting another person. However, The tourist towns and villages such as Burley, Beaulieu, Brockenhurst, Lyndhurst and Lymington are all easily accessible and well worth a visit. Our favourite is Lymington which is a beautiful 35/40 minute drive through The New Forest going through Burley. Beaulieu is also very quaint and picturesque with an Abbey and there's a lovely walk from Beaulieu village centre to Bucklers Hard.
  • We spent two nights at the lovely Sheperds Hut. Jo & Carl have thought of everything, it’s cosy but spacious & has everything you’d need for a very relaxing & comfortable stay. It’s been stylishly decorated, lovely shower, even seating to sit outside in the sunshine to take in the beautiful views. The local area is gorgeous & Jo made some brilliant recommendations for places to eat & walks in the area. We hired bikes one of the days & cycled to the Royal Oak in Fritham which is mostly all on a gravel track through the forest - highly recommended & the Royal Oak does a tasty ploughman’s :) All in all 10/10. We’re already thinking about when we can come back! Thank you! Teresa & Christer x

  • We enjoyed a fabulous few nights in the Shepherd’s Hut, it really is an exceptionally thought out space, with everything you need for a short stay. Although Jo was on holiday herself, she checked that we were happy with everything & was quick to reply to any questions I had. I will certainly be booking another trip back soon!

  • The perfect place to unwind! A good location, close to a gorgoues farm shop which is a must for breakfast! The Hut was warm, cosy, extremely clean and comfortable.

  • What an absolutely wonderful location and Shepard’s Hut, its just a shame words can not put into picture how beautiful, secluded and relaxing this property is. It was a wonderful weekend away made so incredible with Jo’s recommendations. So incredibly thoughtful everything was absolutely spotless with no detail missed. We have already been recommending this to friends and will continue to do so. Absolutely wonderful, a real bargain with stunning views and a stones throw from beautiful walks and the best the new forest has to offer. Surprising spacious with so many clever little attentions to detail.

    Kate2018-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay in Maurietty these past few days. It has everything you need, it is in the most tranquil location right in the heart of the New Forest, and Jo was incredibly helpful and accommodating!

Stunning studio with lovely views of Lyme bay based in the pretty little village of Charmouth with the famous fossil beach. This apartment has stunning views of Lyme Bay . Ideal for complete relaxation. It has its own private terrace and parking . 5 minutes drive to Lyme Regis
Completely refurbished modern studio flat with stunning seaviews from Golden Cap and Lyme bay to Portland Bill. It has its own private terrace and boasts a fully integrated kitchen with all appliances including a dishwasher, fridge, microwave, oven and hob. There is also a modern fully tiled shower room with underfloor heating.
Charmouth is a charming village right on the Juassic coast featuring Golden Cap, the highest point on the south coast, which has wild & wonderful walks in and around the Dorset village of Charmouth. Charmouth is at the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coastline. One mile to the east of the Regency town of Lyme Regis, Charmouth has its own distinct identity and is renowned worldwide for its fossil beaches and famous museum. The village has traditional pubs, shops, post office, chemist and playing fields and eateries. It's not just the fossils that make Charmouth such an attractive holiday destination. The beach is safe for children of all ages as it shelves very gently and low tide reveals wide expanses of sand and many rock pools. Away from beach there are spectacular cliff and inland walks and a centuries old landscape of meadows and hedge rose surrounding the village. For the more leisurely walkers or picnickers, the rolling Devon countryside & Trinity Hill make the perfect setting for an afternoon stroll. Or just pop down to the beach to find yourself a fossil. A stones throw away is Lyme Regis; one of the Jurassic Coasts most famous coastal towns, boasting a micro-brewery, the Marine Theatre & the setting for River Cottage's fishing trips, from the world's famous Cobb Harbor. The rugged coastline is magnificent & has been awarded World Heritage Site status, just the most magical setting. Our recommendations for Restaurants and Pubs Charmouth Fish and chips is seriously good anytime. Great for Sunday Lunch, The Harbour Inn on the front in Lyme Regis, amazing roast beef. Best for breakfast, the small cafe next door to the Harbour Inn, they even do a Mexican style breakfast! The kitchen In The Symonsbury Estate ( Stunning walks and breathtaking views from Colmers hill and Hell lane, recently featured on Julia Bradbury Tv documentary) The Hive Cafe at Burton Bradstock are great for breakfast and lunch ...where you can also eat Oysters and Lobsters in the evening, its location is right on the beach and has everything you could wish for. Also the famous Hix cafe if you like sea food., based again in Lyme Regis ( less than ten minutes in the car from us ) Lyme have a new Vegetarian restaurant called Tierra kitchen, which has fantastic food. The anchor Pub in Seatown is a great choice, The lovely walk over Stone Barrow to get there, also provides sunning views of the coast. English wine is highly under-rated, take a tour of Furleigh Estate& if you are not already, you will be converted. This is home to some of the country's best red, white, pink & sparkling. The hustle & bustle of nearby market towns of Bridport & Honiton will totally overwhelm your senses. On a Saturday, the market is brimming with vintage, retro & antiques & all the cheeky dealers that are coming down from London to grab themselves a bargain... if you are a keen haggler this is the place to be. NB. Make sure you pop down to see Sharon at Old Albion, an absolute gem in this vintage paradise! . If you are here during the right time of year & prefer to take making wine & spirits into your own hands, you can head out on your own foraging for elderberries, damsons & sloes or take a guided foraging tour. For the more adventurous, there are plenty of watersports to be had in Lyme Regis & West Bay, paddle boarding, swimming, surfing, kiteboarding, ribbing, sailing & deep sea fishing Check out (URL HIDDEN) for fantastic blogs about the whole area
  • What an amazing lil spot! Spent a bank holiday weekend on the Jurassic Coast in this lovely studio. The space is perfect, spotlessly clean, modern appliances, comfy bed, and the view, amazing. Can't wait to return, if you're an outdoor enthusiast this is a playground, the hikes and trails are surreal, and they all finish at PUBS!

  • Beautiful fully equipped apartment overlooking the sea. Private and peaceful. Fantastic terrace to have breakfast watching the sea in the distance . Good quality furnishings throughout and attention to detail with decoration.

  • We visited Charmouth to escape London for a couple of days walking the Jurassic coast. The studio flat was newly refurbished, well equipped, cosy with excellent views. It was a lovely base to set out in either direction and a short drive from Lyme Regis. Would definitely recommend visiting in November. Wendy and Howard were very accommodating and we were very grateful for a lift to Axminster to catch our train back. Thank you!

    Eva2016-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • A stunning view in a peaceful location but close to lots of places to visit. Easy access on foot to local amenities and places to eat in the evenings. Ideal place to relax for a few days.

  • The accommodation is located in a beautiful English country garden. It comprises a very comfortable bed, an excellent stocked fridge for breakfast, a well equipped kitchen area. Lisa is an extremely friendly host who goes to great effort to make you feel welcome and provided very good directions to the cottage by text. It's the perfect venue for dog lovers; our dog was able to roam freely in the enclosed garden with the host's dogs pretty location with lovely walks and some very good nearby National Trust properties to visit. Excellent value for money. We would love to go back!

  • This stay was absolutely incredible. We could not of asked for anything more. From the minute we arrived and were greeted by the lovely Lisa we were blown away. Beautiful garden and surrounding area. The fridge was stocked with the most amazing array of treats from dark chocolate to thickly sliced ham from the butcher. I cannot recommend this place enough. We wished we could have stayed for longer and are already thinking about when we can next return. Lisa made us feel so welcome. She offered to pick us up from the local pub (only a 15 min walk) if we were worried about finding our way in the dark and sent us packing with some home made chutney. This was by far our best air bnb (Website hidden by Airbnb) fact our best staying anywhere experience. You kicked our holiday off to the most amazing start- thank you so much Lisa!!

    Felix2015-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • If there was a prize for the most kind, charming, thoughtful and obliging Airbnb host then Lisa would win by a mile. I have had numerous stays at other Airbnb places, and am a frequent traveller around the world and hav (Website hidden by Airbnb) myself. She is superwoman.

    Stella2015-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a lovely stay in this area, stop searching now! It was absolutely brilliant, we couldn't have asked for anything more. It was our first airbnb and the bar has been set high. From the foodie treats to the comfy bed, and even the unexpected blu ray player this annex is the perfect place to stay in this lovely bit of England. We toom a day trip to the coast, and there are at least 2 good pubs a short drive away. Lisa (and furry friends) was a perfect host, very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. My husband summed it up perfectly during our stay when he said 'our biggest worry is that it might be booked up when we want to come back!'....and we WILL be back.

    Rachael2015-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely and relaxing few days stay in Durweston. Lisa was a great host. She leaves an abundance of snacks to feast on - very tempting! She also makes a lovely cooked breakfast. The area is peaceful and the pub is in easy talking distance.

    Kate2016-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Quite simply Lisa is the perfect host and all the raving reviews by others who have stayed here are completely true. Lisa really is one of life's rare truly lovely people. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and provide us with all we needed and more. There is nothing she had not thought of - but I'm sure if there had been she would be quick to change that! The cottage annex is so homely, set in her beautiful garden, so perfect for the break from every day life we were seeking. Two days was not enough for us - we will certainly be back. Thank you Lisa!!

    Caroline2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a two night stay and it was simply not long enough. The whole experience was a joy and this comes as no surprise once you have met your host. Lisa is wonderful. Warm, engaging, kind and thoughtful. The surrounding area is stunning with access to all that Dorset has to offer. Accommodation is beautifully designed with your every need catered to. The bed and goodies fridge are as great as other reviewers have stated. We took our dog and he was plainly just as happy as we were! Can't wait to return to this magical place.

    Durweston, Wielka Brytania

Wise Cottage is a 250 year old cottage with a boutique feel and sweeping views situated in a beautiful village near Shaftesbury, Dorset. The cottage sleeps four, 1 large master bedroom with a super kingsize bed and a small bedroom with adult bunks (plus a guest bed for a fifth guest). Well behaved dogs are welcome! Organic toiletries, bath robes, well equipped kitchen, wood burner, super fast Wifi, garden and beautiful walks straight out of the front door.
There is a large sitting room with oak dining table and contemporary chairs, a well fitted kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. The main bedroom has an upholstered Super kingsize bed with Vi Spring mattress, high quality microfibre duvets and bed linens. The second bedroom has full size bunk beds. Polished wooden floors, Roger Oates runners, sisal flooring and soft Moroccan rugs make up the flooring in the cottage. The bathroom has a pressurised shower and bath. Plenty of towels are provided as well as an organic soaps and shampoo range. The bathroom is situated downstairs opposite the kitchen. The garden is situated up steps from the cottage, it is probably not easily accessed by anyone disabled or infirm. It is a cottage garden, not highly manicured but with wonderful views in every direction. A table and chairs and a barbecue and tongs are also provided. There is a side access to the garden and it is fenced, so will contain a not overly ambitious dog. Please note there is no longer use of a pool, which you may read references to in the reviews. The cottage has a Samsung 32" smart TV with all the catch up services as well as Netflix and Amazon, super fast broad band, a small office with desk. Mobile reception is good, but patchy in the downstairs rooms. There is a wood burner and kindling/logs for the first night or two (bags of logs and kindling are sold at the shop a few yards from the cottage), iPod dock, Roberts radio, smart TV, towels, high quality linen and bathrobes. The kitchen is fully equipped with all china and cutlery, pans, casserole dishes, salad bowls, a Nespresso coffee maker (with coffee capsules!) and there is a supply of tea bags, coffee, sugar, olive oil, flour, herbs and salt and pepper to start you off. We always leave a breakfast pack of fresh local bread, home made jam, butter and milk. A folding guest bed can be put up in the sitting room or master bedroom for a fifth person which is fine for a night or two, but unless a child, it is not ideally suited for five adults.
The cottage is set in the beautiful village of East Knoyle (birthplace of Sir Christopher Wren) on the Dorset/Wiltshire border, amid rolling scenery. The village has an award winning community shop (a few yards from the cottage) and an excellent pub, as well as a playground and endless footpaths through fields and woods for dog walking. If you wish to explore the West Country there are few better places to be situated. The Georgian city of Bath is 20 miles away, Salisbury 17 miles, the hilltop town of Shaftesbury with it's famous monastery ruins and Gold Hill is 4 miles and the Jurassic coast an hour's drive. Longleat and Centre Parks is only 8 miles away. There are numerous stately homes (Longleat being the most famous), castles and gardens within easy striking distance, some a couple of miles from the cottage and superb gastro pubs and restaurants nearby. There is plenty of information in the cottage and suggestions of where to visit, where to eat and where to shop. Just an hour away is the New Forest which is great to explore on foot or by bike. There are maps in the house and you can rent bikes at the wonderfully helpful Forest Leisure Cycling in Burley where there are also loads of cafes, pubs & shops. Flying Experiences at Compton Abbas Airfield - from flying in vintage aircraft and driving classic cars to the airfield for champagne lunch... and flying lessons. Dorset Art Weeks: For two weeks every year (Typically end of May & beginning June) Artists all over Dorset open up their homes and studios to visitors to browse their work, learn about their techniques and inspiration and purchase direct from the artists themselves. There are also two extraordinary contemporary galleries with excellent cafes/restaurants nearby - Messums in Tisbury and Hauser and Wirth in Bruton - both definitely worth a visit.
  • We loved our stay at Vanessas cottage! The cottage is unique and I totally fell in love with it. It is beautifully furnished with much attention to detail as fine bed linens, cosy towels, organic shampoo, original art, washing mashine & dryer, beautiful textiles and carpets ... The master bedroom is so spacious, that you really like to spend time and the bed is great with a super matress which is a big plus! The living room is cosy and made us four comfortable to read, chat, play games, eat dinner, watch TV .. Kitchen and bathroom are downstairs and equipped with all modern amenities. The pool is perfect and just a few steps away from the house. Vanessa and Bruce were always at hand to help with anything that might occur and we enjoyed to get to know them during our stay. There are many things to explore as the region is beautiful, but we also very much enjoyed to stay in the cottage as it has a beautiful garden and view. Couldn't have been a better choice! Looking forward to returning asap! Thank you Vanessa and Bruce

  • A really, lovely little cottage. Nice furnishings and what people have said about the bed is true - so comfortable, just a shame our kids didn't let us lie in to enjoy it! Vanessa is a great host, good communication before and during our stay. Hoping we will be able to come back again and make use of the pool - British weather allowing!

    Melissa2016-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • My two friends and I had the most wonderful stay at Vanessa's cottage to celebrate our birthdays. The kitchen was fully equipped and she had even left bread, jam, butter and milk. The bed was incredibly comfortable - the whole cottage was beautifully decorated to a high standard. Vanessa was great at communicating in the run up to our stay and was very accommodating in allowing us to check in and out late. We had a lovely walk over to the local pub, and the village shop had everything we needed (including carol singers and mince pies!). We wished we had longer to enjoy the cozy cottage and explore local attractions but it was the perfect getaway from London and I'm sure we'll be back again. Thanks Vanessa!

    Beth2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage, with everything that we needed. The homemade jam was delicious, the pool was extremely clean and in a very private setting even though it was in the hosts garden. A fantastic place to relax and unwind. Perfect!

    India2017-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect little spot for a walking weekend, surrounded by beautiful countryside, a stones throw to the local shop and walking distance to some lovely pubs. Thanks Vanessa :-)

    Andy2017-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely two night stay everything was as described - Vanessa was very helpful. We really enjoyed using the pool.

    Julie2018-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in this delightful cottage with my four grandchildren, age range 15 to 8, for two nights recently. We cooked for ourselves both nights and found everything we needed was provided. The living/dining area was perfect and meant we spent time together, a rare thing nowadays. If space was needed the large double bedroom would be more than adequate as a 'retreat'. The swimming pool was fabulous, clean, very close by

    Aileen2018-08-17T00:00:00Z

  • Kev's apartment was gorgeous and a proper little haven. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and communication throughout was brilliant.

    Natasha2018-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We have just had the most perfect time at Little Spinney! Its better than the photos and its the perfect size for two. We loved the attention to detail as well as a very well equipped kitchen with great appliances & overall high spec of the place including lovely toiletries. We loved coming back after a rather windy day exploring the area to watch a film in front of the fire and waking to the lovely rolling hills. Its the perfect winter escape. This place is a real find and excellent value. Kev is a great host and has some great recommendations! We can’t wait to come back.

    Milly2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Such a wonderful place, nicely secluded and surrounded by hills and farmland. The house itself is just as it looks in the pictures, has everything you need for a great stay. Kev is a really friendly host, there if you need anything but doesn't intrude at all if you don't. Highly recommended.

    Karen2016-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, apartment was beautiful and when the sun came out lovely views. Host great with good communication and we really appreciated being able to check in a bit earlier due to bad weather.

    Alison2018-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I had the most relaxing and fun time at Kev'd place. I spent 3 days and 4 nights there and really didn't want to leave. The studio is like a gorgeous home from home crossed with a chic retreat in the hillside and even staying alone there I felt completely secure and rested. I lit the fire each night and the warmth filld the whole space... very cosy and tranquil.. lovely to watch the sheep plod around the hillside and listen to the owl hooting at night. Mark and Kev provided so many thoughtful touches in the goodie basket and the place was immaculate and stylish. Internet is in and out, so this is a place to not do work, but to relax and switch technology off! Gorgeous pad and I'm already working out when to go back!

    Gemma2016-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Kev's studio, prompt communication, extra little touches were appreciated, not a speck of dust, very well thought out. The location is very quiet and peaceful, only a few minutes drive from Lyme Regis. We're already planning a return stay! Thanks Kev.

    Sarah2018-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • We can only echo the praise heaped on the Little Spinney by other reviewers .... if a tucked-away, well-designed haven is your thing, you'll love this.

    Lesley2017-03-31T00:00:00Z

The Stable is a traditional stone outbuilding (circa 1775) located within our garden, hidden away in a wooded valley in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are woodland walks, farmland and Forestry Commission footpaths right outside the door, and it's near to Lyme Regis and the spectacular Jurassic Coast and Undercliff. The Stable is cosy and comfortable and perfect for those looking for rural seclusion and proximity to nature.
The detached, single-storey building has a vaulted ceiling and is approx 5 x 3 metres with a kingsize bed, ensuite bathroom, TV and woodburner. There is a table and chairs for meals or relaxing, and tea/coffee facilities. There is no kitchen but the room is equipped with a microwave and small fridge. There's also cutlery, plates, glasses etc. A complimentary breakfast is left in the room (such as croissants, milk and cereal) on the first night. We have recently renovated the room which is furnished with simple but carefully chosen rustic furnishings and original artwork, while the bathroom is contemporary with a large walk-in shower.
Harcombe is a pretty rural hamlet on the side of a steep hill. There are high devonshire banks, fields and woods, and plenty of footpaths which criss-cross the valley and also lead down into Lyme Regis. The valley is a mixture of pastureland, orchard and woodland. Our local village, Uplyme, is about 1 1/2 miles away and has a church, a pub - the Talbot Arms, shop and filling station, while 3/4 mile back up the road from Harcombe on the A35 there is a post office and the Hunters Lodge Inn. We're at the heart of foodie heaven with the reknown River Cottage HQ nearby (approx 3 miles) the River Cottage Canteen in Axminster (2.5 miles), and acclaimed chef Mark Hix's Fish Restuarant in Lyme. For a more informal meal out there's The Harbour Inn down at the Cobb in Lyme, as well as a number of highly recommended local coastal and country pubs.
  • We loved our stay at the Stable. Alice and Keith are great hosts and we loved the personal touches like the croissants for breakfast, tea and books of Dorset, the outcut of a published travel journey in which the cottage was mentioned and of course the beautiful garden. It made our stay very comfortable and very special. The hens with chicks was also a highlight.

    Isabel2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Alice and Keith were fantastic hosts, very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. The Stable was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our weekend. Thank you.

  • This place is fantastic, cozy and has everything you could possibly need for a short stay. Alice and Keith are lovely hosts, and full of good local knowledge.

Would definitely stay again! Thank you!

  • Can't recommend this place enough. Alice and Keith were the perfect hosts, never intrusive but always on hand if needed. We felt welcomed, safe and relaxed as soon as we arrived. The location is a bit of magic! Woods behind, a spectacular blanket of stars at night and walkable to the seaside in Lyme Regis. We will be back, as soon as possible!

    SarahDaisy2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • A little piece of peace and tranquility, Alice is the perfect host and has thought of everything you might need. Spotlessly clean, shower great, and a lovely wood burning stove. There were some wonderful ginger biscuits, milk, butter and some gorgeous jam and even gave us some crossiants to go with them, and if that wasn't enough some cider too. Nice table and chairs to sit outside and enjoy a glass of cider or whatever else takes your fancy. Lovely garden with some lovely plants in, Alice was very kind in telling us the names of the plants we didn't know the names. We will hopefully go for a return visit.

    Joanne2017-09-20T00:00:00Z

In the living area there are two comfortable armchairs for relaxing and watching TV and a coffee table with books and magazines. A small dining table and chairs set, a kettle, fridge and microwave and crockery enables guests to make their own breakfasts. Please note there is not a kitchen so washing up has to be done camping style. The living space has double doors leading onto the veranda which overlooks the garden. This is perfect for sitting and whiling away a few hours with a book or glass of wine and watching the birds and occasionally visiting deer. The lodge has it's own area of garden and is surrounded by mature trees and shrubs. Parking is available in front of the main house with a short walk past the house up a gravel path to the Lodge. There is foot level lighting up to the Lodge at night but a torch would be helpful for the surrounding area. I encourage guests to be independent and I'm happy to leave a key in a key safe for guests to come and go whenever they choose. Unfortunately I am not always available to meet guests however I'm always available by phone if they should need to contact me.
The Lodge has a perfect Location! Neacroft is a small hamlet surrounded by countryside yet is only a short drive or cycle up to the open forest and the coast. It's only 1 ml to Bransgore with its local shops, pubs, doctors and vets and 3mls down country lanes to the busy town of Christchurch.
  • Cannot recommend highly enough - the perfect stay in the new forest. The lodge is so cosy and in a great location. The breakfast bits and cake was a lovely surprise. Already dreaming about going back and have recommended to friends and family.

  • Lovely little lodge - exactly as in pics. Gorgeous space to relax in. Highly recommend going to the three tuns pub up the road too - walking distance so is ideal.

    Katherine2016-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for our stay, we had a lovely quiet relaxing time. All the little touches such as the milk and butter, bread and cake made our stay feel like a home from home. The lodge was spotlessly clean and we couldn’t recommend highly enough.

  • My husband and I enjoyed a lovely weekend at this beautiful lodge for our first wedding anniversary. Such a pretty location with the added little special touches. Anne was very helpful with recommendations and any other help that we needed, you can tell that she takes pride in this accommodation and was a perfect host. This property is perfect for anyone wanting to escape for a weekend of relaxation and comfort, we didn't want to go home! The three tuns inn was a nice walk away and had lovely food. We also went to highcliffe beach for a walk along the coast. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for giving us a perfect weekend to celebrate our first anniversary xx

  • We loved our stay at the cosy lodge. Stayed for 2 nights in August. Very nicely furnished, great veranda looking into the garden. Anne provided breakfast options for our stay, crumpets, croissants, jams, tea coffee and carrot cake. Very relaxing. Would definitely recommend and would return.

    Kevin2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for a calm, relaxing break in the picturesque New Forest and upon seeing Anne's lodge decided that it fitted the bill. We were not disappointed. The cabin was very spacious, the bed comfortable and the shower very powerful. The outdoor space and quiet were just what we were seeking. WIFI was very good. Anne dropped over to welcome us and we were provided with a cake and some breakfast goodies. We only live an hour or so away so are familiar with the New Forest but the location is excellent offering easy access to the coast and the forest. The Three Tuns in nearby Bransgore served up a lovely meal. A really lovely stay. I suspect we may well return. Simon and Sophie

  • Lovely cottage/ lodge, exactly like the description and photos. Just a lovely little get away. We drove past Anne on the way in and she popped in just to say hi and then left us to it, which was perfect for us. The New Forest is beautiful. Not too far to the local pubs and co-op to walk (approx 15 mins) and a 5 min drive. Anne left a lovely basket of continental breakfast goodies and a cake. There is a fridge and microwave in the lodge too, the latter which I don't think is listed on the description but was handy for us. Overall, perfect for a get away - worth every penny!

    Helen2015-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at The Lodge. Everything we needed was catered for and the breakfast package was a very welcome touch. The bed was comfortable and the heating very efficient. A great place to spend a long weekend in the forest!

Acton Studio is perfect for walkers as we are on the South West Coast Path, ideal for those wanting to get back to nature and unwind. Roam through fields of lambs before taking a dip at Dancing Ledge, continue through fields of wildflowers and butterflies to the famous Square and Compass pub with its local ales. Grab a picnic and amble down to Lulworth Cove then swim at Studland beach or Durdle Door. Relax with a beer or glass of wine under the stars after a great meal at one of the local pubs.
Acton Studio is a recently converted purbeck stone outbuilding with double bed, wet room and kitchenette. The kitchenette has an electric oven, hob, fridge, sink, kettle, toaster and essential kitchen items. Sit in the enclosed garden on a summer evening cooking on the barbeque after a long hike relaxing with a beer or glass of wine. On a clear night and with no street lights you can gaze up at a sky full of stars.
Acton is a small tranquil hamlet of around forty Purbeck stone cottages with unmade roads throughout. We are surrounded by fields, some with cows and sheep and we are located on the South West Coast Path incorporating breath-taking views. We are lucky to live in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, home to many rare plants and animals. The Purbeck coastline is part of the ninety-five mile stretch known as the 'Jurassic Coast', named England’s first natural world heritage site in 2002 because of the unique insight it offers into 185 million years of the Earth’s history.
  • A lovely little place perfect for 2 and s dog. Ideally situated or walks and Swanage is less than 4 mile walk away. Great local pub square and compass only a 20 minute walk along priests way footpath. Clean and tidy as well as a quiet patio area with fencing to keep the dog from running away whilst we are outside

    Andrew2018-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely long walking weekend in Acton. Ian was very welcoming and the cosy accommodation had the essentials we needed and was extremely clean. This is a perfect base for exploring Dorset. We did four great walks: a loop using the priest’s way to Swanage and back via the great globe on the South West coastal path; a half day walk to Dancing Ledge and along the coastal path to Worth Matravers for a pasty at the Square and Compass; we drove to Lulworth Cove and walked to Durdels Door and on our last day parked in Swanage and did a loop to Studland. We recommend both the Greyhound Inn and The Castle Inn at Corfe Castle for dinner, and Cake Etc. in Swanage for brunch/cake. They all served really lovely food that didn’t let us down! Thank you Ian and Steve!

This is one of my two apartments in the same period building in Lyme Regis. All have been completely renovated and beautifully decorated in a bright and airy seaside touch. This historic building is located less than 200 metres from the Beach.
Beautiful Newley renovated, light and airy seaside apartment. You will have sole use of the apartment. Just across the road there is a path straight to the beaches I live locally to the property and I'm just a phone call away Lyme Regis is a popular destination alive all year round. There are always things going on in the town, just a taster would be Life Boat Week, Regatta and Carnival Week, Fossil Festival, Candles on the Cobb, Lantern parade and hundreds more. We have 3 immediate beaches, the main beach by the Cobb is Sandy and as you go further away it is shingle, Monmouth Beach is mainly shingle and so is back beach behind the church but has fantastic rock pools. There is a regular bus service in the town and a train service at Axminster Station which is ten minutes away by car. Prices start from £70 per night with a reduction for 1 week or more. There is a brand new 1500 pocket sprung luxury mattress for your comfort. Duvet and pillows are provided and the bed will be made up ready for your arrival with freshly laundered bedding and towels.

  • Michelle's renovated flat is light, bright, comfortable and superbly finished. The bathroom is as good as any boutique hotel. Check in and out was very straight forward and our stay just perfect what with the flat being so perfectly located for the beach, the bakery and a great Italian restaurant.

    Emma2015-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic flat in great location - couldn't ask for anything more. Beautifully decorated and clean. Michelle was helpful And communicated with us really well. Thank you

    Sam2015-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • We didn't get to meet Michelle but we really enjoyed our stay. The flat was clean and very well decorated. We slept very well and the bathroom was great the only thing we would change is if we had stayed longer.

    Colin2015-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great find. Myself and my son stayed here for 3 nights and it was fabulous. Great location only steps from central Lyme and the beach. Got to enjoy Lyme as everyone else went home! Enjoyed all the opportunities Lyme offers- fossiling, beach combing, sea kayaking, crabbing and good food. The apartment is well equipped and beautiful. Couldn’t have asked for more. And great touches including colour changing lights in the ‘turret’ which helped send my son to sleep at night. Thank you for a great stay.

    Abigail2018-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lots of pre-arrival information provided about directions, parking and key collection as we were arriving late in the evening. Lovely, compact, stylish apartment. Particularly liked the roomy shower and roll top bath. the bedroom was very characterful and comfortable. Well located for the local amenities.

    Linda2015-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Clean beautifully decorated made you feel on holiday instantly

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Michelle's flat in the Gables. It's very light and beautifully decorated, with lots of individual touches. The flat is very clean and has everything we needed for our stay, including some very welcome tea, coffee, milk - and even biscuits! There are plenty of towels and bedding, and the shower is amazing. All in all a great place to stay, and I've already recommended it to some friends.

    Kathy2016-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot, Michelle contacted us to make sure we knew where to come. Michelle even warned us about roadworks going on & suggested an alternative route. Michelle contacted us again later to make sure we had settled in ok. We could not fault this idyllic spot. Beautiful apartment! We have already raved about it & recommended it to all our friends. Very caring & thoughtful host.

Cozy, rustic, old red brick out building with wood burner. Self contained mini kitchen. Shower room with underfloor heating and towel rail. Combined lounge/bedroom. Sits next to a natural pond and large wildlife garden, across from the main house. Off road parking. Perfect area for walking and cycling.
    Quiet, rural and tranquil.
We are right on the edge of the Somerset moors that will flood in the winter and look spectacular with endless bird life. Climb up Burrow Hill (after visiting the Burrow Hill Cider Farm) and get amazing 360 views of the whole area. The rest of the year you can walk direct from the house round our West Moor, it takes about an hour at a good speed. The Rusty Axe Pub is 10 mins walk away in Stembridge. The Wyndham Arms pub in Kingsbury Episcopi is a 30 min walk away; by road or across the fields. A short 10 min car ride away is the Lamb and Lion Pub in Hambridge and The Firehouse just a bit further in Curry Rivel. There are many pubs within a few miles, too many to note here!! Ham (Hamdon) Hill Country Park is a wonderful place to walk or visit their pub The Prince of Wales. The views are again wonderful. The pub does great food and in winter has roaring fires and welcomes dogs in the bar area. It’s about a 15 min drive from us. From there You can walk to Montecute through the woods and enjoy their pubs or visit the National Trust House, or just walk the grounds and use the tea rooms. We have a well known Smokery and attached restaurant in Hambridge.(Forrest and Brown) A famous Leach Pottery and art gallery in Mulchelney, not far from the Abbey. Glastonbury and it’s Tor and Abbey are half an hour away. Street, for shopping, the same distance. The lovely and stunning Jurassic coast and Lyme Regis is 40 mins drive away. Somerset is our little secret which most drive through on the way to Devon and Cornwall. Of course you can still enjoy a day out to Exmoor or Dartmoor, many do. Not forgetting The Quantock Hills and the view across to Wales, on to Watchet and Minehead. So much to do. Come and enjoy Somerset.
  • We had a lovely time at eva's studio. Eva gave us a lot of nice tips what to see in the neighboorhood and we felt very welcome.

    Marlies2015-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Eva made us feel immediately welcome, and her warm, considerate manner ensured we were able to settle in right away. We appreciated being lent high vis jackets and a light for a night ride to the pub. The studio is beautifully proportioned- the main room, one of the loveliest spaces I have spent time in. The kitchen is neat and had what we needed to cook meals. The bathroom is clean and the shower good. The area is exactly what we'd hoped- intricate, brimming with orchards, strange nooks and wildlife. We will return.

    Jon2015-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay despite a horrible weekend weather wise! The cottage was absolutely gorgeous, really spacious and excellent value for money. Eva was really helpful in suggesting where to get food, walks and what to do in the local area. A perfect little getaway spot and we hope we'll visit again when it's a little sunnier

    Siobhan2016-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We did not meet Eva as she was away in Cornwall, but Paul met us out the front and showed us in and around the cottage. We were pleasantly surprised at how big it was and with clever space saving devices in the kitchen it was easy to make ourselves at home. The modernised bathroom was a real treat as well. A great little place to stay for a quiet night ... and a pub within walking distance too what more could you want .

    Colin2016-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent hosts, couldn't ask for more. Really great sized accommodation and a great base to go exploring the surrounding areas from.

    Matthew2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Spent a great two nights at Eva's, lived up to the reviews and just the peaceful, calm hideaway we needed from the A303. Hosts very friendly but not at all intrusive. Would definitely return and recommend to others

    James2016-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing few days. Had travelled for a wedding but took some extra time for ourselves after and this provided a perfect base- cosy and well equipped for quiet nights in, and felt like it was our own little space to have time for ourselves. Eva and Paul both friendly and gave lots of useful local tips and general chatter- easy to get along with.

    Laura2016-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed staying here, everything you could want for a short weekend away, lovely and cozy place to stay! Host where lovely and right there if you need anything. We will deffo be coming back to stay again. Thank you

    Martock, Somerset, Wielka Brytania

Tranquil, s/c compact garden studio with lovely views in the hamlet of Ryall. Adjacent to owners' eco-house & midway between Lyme Regis & West Bay, it is ideally situated for the magnificent walks & extensive plant/wildlife on the doorstep. Footpaths to Golden Cap, beach, Charmouth, & Marshwood Vale. Local village, Whitchurch Canonicorum, has its own saint & holy well. Bustling Bridport, & West Bay’s cliffs & restaurants are a short journey. Great local pub food. Good farm shop at end of rd.
The Walkers Retreat is a light, bright, compact (5X3m) studio space, detached and adjacent to our ecohouse and offering beautiful views through the east/west light on the rolling green hills of the Marshwood Vale. Thoughtfully designed and newly furnished, it has everything to make it a perfect short stay for one or two people who are keen to explore the attractions of this wonderful part of Dorset. It has a kitchenette with hob, microwave and silent fridge, sink, cutlery and pans. We provide tea and coffee and basic ingredients for breakfast. The living area has a small table and 2 comfy chairs which fold away to maximize use of space. There is a radiator, a small two person sofa and a TV and wifi. There is a separate shower room with shower, toilet and heated towel rail. Towards the back of the space there is a comfortable full size double wooden frame bed with new pocket sprung mattress and cotton linen. Please note the bed is on a solid raised area and head height when standing is limited here.
You can take paths North, South, East or West out of your door and enjoy some wonderful scenery each way. On a clear day, start by going up the (Hardown) hill behind - a ten minute stroll through an SSI heathland to enjoy the panoramic views to Portland, Golden cap, Lyme Regis and beyond. Up here, swathes of bluebells in Spring will be followed by purple sheets of Ling and Bell heathers during the Summer and clumps of giant parasol mushrooms in the Autumn. Coming down the other side of the hill, cross over to 200 acres of National Trust land with its scenic clifftop views and myriad of paths and fields leading to the Golden Cap, past St Wites Well. Or go the other way to the fossil beach and museum at Charmouth, When the tide is out you can walk on to Lyme Regis, the cobb and the attractions and quirky shops of the old town. Alternatively, walk down Butt Lane alongside fields overlooking the sea to reach the ancient smugglers route along Hells Lane (described in Julia Bradburys book on Britains best walks). An atmospheric stroll along the narrowest of lanes with gnarled tree roots often at head height past etchings in the sandstone rock on each side, then finally out the other end in to the “normal world” through to the small town of Chideock. You can then walk further on to Seatown where there is an excellent pub with great food by the beach. Returning to Chideock you can catch the bus a couple of miles on to the historic rope-making town Bridport with its eclectic mix of shops and people and a regular vintage market. Stop by cafe (Soulshine) before continuing to West Bay (approximately a mile round the corner) with its famous cliffs (the setting for Broadchurch), smart cafe/gallery, Sladers yard and small antique market. There are several good restaurants here and also a fantastic fishmonger with takeaway packs of fresh shellfish. You can get the bus back to the end of our lane hourly and a cab if in the evening (see below). Walking in a different direction yet again, inland, there is a lovely walk via our local village Whitchurch canonicorum taking in the Church of St Candida/St Wite) known as the Cathedral of the Vale, parts of which date back to 12th Century. Interred within for over 700 years is the Shrine of St Wite; the only other church in Britain with a similar shrine is Westminster Abbey. From this, you can walk (or cycle/drive) to Wootten Fitzpaine with some beautiful wildflower meadows where rarities such as Corky fruited water dropwort can be spotted along with more common drifts of wild narcissus, red clover, yellow rattle and various spotted orchids. Beyond this, Charmouth Forest has huge wooded areas of bluebells in Spring and makes a lovely walk through beech trees flanked in places by masses of Asplenium scolodenrium ferns. Venturing further afield, Trinity Hill, home of Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall and nearby Trill Farm; the latter set in magnificent wildflower meadows provide further attractions at specific times of the year. For horse-lovers, riding can be arranged very locally over the national trust land overlooking the sea. On a rainy day, the small museum at Lyme intriguingly set out around a spiral staircase provides a fascinating distraction. Continue on to the many quirky shops and fossil centre, perhaps taking coffee at the Giants and Idols coffee shop in Silver St or a light lunch at cafe Aroma set down below. Later on, the Harbour Inn near the Cobb is a good place to stop for an evening meal. After a day exploring, you can return to see hawks and buzzards priming the fields, horseshoe bats rising and dipping across the hill and the odd deer flitting across the lane. At nighttime, Owls and badgers are frequent visitors, (there is a badger trail at the foot of our garden), Nightjars and Glow worms can sometimes be seen round the corner on and around Hardown Hill in July (this makes a wonderful moonlit walk less than 10 minutes away). Eat out at several excellent nearby pubs (The Anchor Inn in Seatown is consistently good and reasonably priced) or The Olive Tree in Bridport is very popular; for a special occasion, The Station Kitchen in West Bay mostly set within a railway carriage is very good. Axminster also offers the popular River Cottage Canteen and a good pizza place (The Pisani). Alternatively, eat in with fresh produce from the award winning farm shop, at the end of our road!
  • This really is a special place. Compact but so comfortable. Lucy was prompt with all replies & a warm welcome. The location is just perfect! I had to leave early because of family illness but I will definitely be returning to enjoy all that it has to offer. Highly recommend.

    Hilary2018-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little annex in a delightful area of Dorset. Lucy is a wonderful host and could not make you feel more welcome. Stayed for the weekend with my boyfriend and there's plenty of space for two people. Everything you could possibly need is provided and the little breakfast package is a lovely touch.

    Enya2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying at Lucy’s place. The apartment is tiny, but has everything you need. There are many opportunities both for hiking (make sure you have hiking boots) and trips by car (Lulworth, Durdle Door, Corfe Castle, Old Harry Rocks etc). Visiting a local pub just 10 min walk from Lucy’s was real fun. We would deffinitely recommend this place.

    Katerina2018-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Lucy made us feel welcome from our arrival through to our departure. She's a great host and the personal touches made our stay all the more amazing. The views from the apartment were incredible and we would find ourselves looking at the cow herds for hours through the provided binoculars. The apartment itself is the perfect size for a couples retreat. It is a small space however it is ideal for two people and it has all of the amenities that you will need for a short break. The location is remote however it is an ideal getaway if you have your own car. Cannot recommend this apartment enough and we will definitely be visiting again. Thanks again Lucy! Matthew and Chelsie

    Matthew2018-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Greatly enjoyed our stay at the Walker's Retreat. Lucy is a wonderful host, very attentive and knowledgeable about the area. The space is cozy and comfortable, with great views out the window. Comfortable bed and couch and enough kitchen to make a nice meal. Gardens are fabulous!

    Mark2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lucy is a wonderful host.

    Steve2018-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • This spot is ideal for walking & exploring the countryside. We walked to Lyme Regis through National Trust land which was breathtaking! This is a small space but it was all we needed - a comfy bed & somewhere to make breakfast. Lucy was great, making sure we had everything we needed. Homemade bread and eggs from Lucy’s chicken were a highlight - they were delicious! I would recommend bringing a few extra bits for breakfast to top this up if you’re doing a lot of walking & need something more substantial. One evening we walked to The Five Bells pub which is only about 0.5 miles - it was what you would expect of a village pub, standard food and a bar packed full of locals but an easy walk! A very enjoyable stay & we would stay again if in the area.

    Hollie2018-04-12T00:00:00Z

Snuggle up together on the leather sofa in front of a log fire with a glass of your favourite tipple in the Bothy. Dating from the 1700's, our newly restored "boutique" style stone cottage is in the rural historic Yetminster Conservation Area. The Bothy is set in the garden of our quintessential English Heritage Grade 2 Listed thatched cottage You may even want to travel around our lovely Dorset countryside, including the Jurassic Coast One fixed price: No minimum stays; No cleaning charges
Bothy Cottage is in a delightful rural location with horses in the adjacent fields, chickens across the road and a dairy farm just up the lane. I am so happy just pottering around our home here. We want you to be warm and cosy during the cooler months (& English summer), so the Bothy is heated with electric radiators (controlled by you) and a wood burning stove. We include electricity, kindling wood, fire lighters and logs for your stay. Please ask for more logs, if needed. The kitchen facilities are suitable for modest cooking and include a single induction hob, microwave with grill & oven facilities, small fridge/freezer, electric kettle, toaster, filter coffee jug, etc., plus a washing/drying machine. There are two BBQ's suitable for loose charcoal or plonking a disposable BBQ on top. For walkers, Downs Lane opposite leads to various footpaths and access to the local Vecklands Millennium Wood (Visible from your cottage). The Macmillan Way footpath is 200 yards down Brister End. We can chat about various other places to go using your car. In my view, we are in a cyclist's paradise with loads of lanes and a variety of bridleways (Some very muddy) to suit casual through to the serious on and off road bikers (There is a huge specialist triathlon TriUK superstore in Yeovil). You may lock your bikes in one of our sheds. Once you are off in your car then the Jurassic Coast, the sea, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door & Lyme Regis are some 40-50 minutes away and then there are the National Trust places, including Montecute House, Stourhead (Fabulous landscape gardens with the Spread Eagle pub for food).
Yetminster is a village with a load of listed buildings dating from the 17th Century, about twelve thatched cottages (The locals could not afford proper tiled roofs) and a Grade 1 listed church (St Andrews). The thatched White Hart pub (Run by Blanche & Alex) has a variety of locally sourced beers and ciders (Local labourers were paid with cider until the 1950's) plus good pub grub. I have cycled to over 100 local pubs so I can give you tips on them.
  • The place was lovely, and far exceeded our expectations. Russel and Liz have put a lot of time and effort into making the space unique. The cottage had everything we needed for a quiet night away. We would highly recommend, and would love to visit again if we are in the area in future

  • Absolutely loved this cottage. This was my first experience of Airbnb and it was fantastic. The cottage itself is stunning and the facilities are first class. I loved the special touch of a bottle of fizz in the fridge. Russell came and said a brief hello and made sure I was ok on arrival. I will definitely be coming back!

  • We fell in love with Bothy Cottage, it is beautifully done with great features and attention to detail. Even though the weather wasn't great it didn't matter as the cottage is so cosy. Highly recommended this Airbnb, great hosts, great space in a great location.

The Loft is a spacious apartment perfect for exploring the New Forest. The open plan kitchen, dining and living room is perfectly set up for two and there is a spacious bedroom with ensuite shower room. The property is very light and has lovely views to the forest and over the owners well maintained garden. It is the perfect base for venturing out on forest walks and cycle rides. Salisbury, Winchester and the coast are all within easy reach. Well-behaved dogs are welcome too.
Nestled in the ancient North Ridge of The New Forest National Park, The Loft provides a peaceful hideway to relax and enjoy the unique beauty of the forest. Situated within the forest boundary, inside the cattle grid areas, our regular visitors include the famous ponies and cattle that make the forest such a stunning wildlife environment. Whilst deer are a rare sight, we often welcome a small herd into the paddocks, to enjoy some free grazing! The Loft is a beautifully presented first floor apartment with its own entry hall. It is attached to the main house and parking is available outside the stables. Guests have access to a patio area to enjoy the summer sunshine. The kitchen is well-equipped with a sink, dishwasher, fridge, two ring electric hob, oven and microwave. Dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, cleaning products, dish cloths and tea towels are provided. Milk, coffee, tea and sugar are provided on arrival. The living area has two comfortable reclining chairs with footstools, a tv and dvd player. Some books and dvds are provided for guests use. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed with hotel quality linen. Guests can use the wardrobe and chest of drawers for storing their belongings. The bedroom leads to a well sized ensuite shower room with plenty of space for wash bags.
The Loft is located in a quiet corner of the New Forest. It has lovely views towards the forest, where deer can frequently be spotted grazing. Walking and cycling can be enjoyed from the doorstep. There are plenty of pubs nearby which serve good food and serve good beer. There is a little village shop 2 miles away, and bigger supermarkets a little further away. You are more than welcome to get online shopping delivered after your arrival.

  • Astrid and Mark were wonderful. They were friendly and very happy to provide local recommendations and activities. Astrid was very quick at responding to messages and their adorable little boys could be seen running around the garden. Astrid Lent us umbrellas too which was very kind as we had forgotten! it really felt like home - we were so sad to leave.

  • The loft is a lovely surprise, tucked away in the new forest. With walks just on the door step it was perfect for my partner and I with our dog Toby. The loft was impeccably clean with all the amenities you could want, a helpful guide was also provided which makes getting to know the area far easier. Astrid left us clear instructions on how to find the place and she was very good at communicating with us. Would 100% recommend to booking a few nights. Thank you Astrid

  • Het is een super plekje! Een aanrader! Het new forrest park is altijd geweldig mooi! En dan daar overnachten in dit leuke appartementje is heerlijk! Je kan lekker buiten zitten in de mooie tuin. Goed parkeren. Een erg vriendelijke gastvrouw! Er stond zelfs een lekker flesje wijn klaar :-) een heerlijk plekje on even tot rust te komen!

  • We had a lovely stay here - the room was exactly as described and pictured. Location is really nice and easy to get everywhere within the forest, kitchen has everything you could need and the whole apartment was very clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend!

  • Well where to even begin... I rented The Loft for my Grandmother who is having adaptions done to her home so she can continue to live there and Astrid and Mark could not have been more accommodating, taking in little Ralphy (my Nans cat) too. Nothing was too much trouble and even with them living next door they were not intrusive and left my Nan to her day to day activities. I could live there happily as i know my Nan could. Such a lovely place with an even better vibe. If you want somewhere amongst roaming wildlife, somewhere quiet and comfortable with great hosts then this is your place....

  • Really beautiful shepherds hut that is tucked out if the way and very peaceful. Danette is a great host!

  • We went for a long weekend with our 11 week old baby, and Danette was brilliant at helping us plan the stay, as well as making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The hut was so cute and nicely done, and the views were superb. The food was delicious with generous portions, and we were lucky enough to enjoy it outside in the November sunshine. A wonderful mini break!

  • Danette's is a place of cozy wonder. She is friendly and knowledgable. She has managed to create a little piece of heaven with the view anf the little shepards hut. Breakfast was yummy and we loved eating it with the doors open the look and listen to the local wildlife.

  • Absolutely gorgeous hut with the most incredible views. Peaceful & tranquil, perfect for a relaxing break. Wonderful little touches like homemade bread, eggs from the lovely hens who come to say hello, cream tea and breakfast :) loved it & didn’t want to leave!

  • This is possibly the best AirBnB we have ever stayed in. It’s so beautiful inside and out. Loads of extra finishing touches which make it extra special. It’s so warm and cosy, we would love to come back in the depths of winter to really feel like you’re shutting out the world and escaping. Danette and Nick also gave us loads of extra info and local knowledge which really enhanced our stay. Cannot recommend it enough.

  • The Hideaway is a haven of loveliness, great facilities with extraordinary attention to detail. It has the best quality bed and bedding, kitchen and bathroom facilities. There are delicious baked goods and breakfast supplied on arrival. I arrived to a warm and cosy fragrant nest which I didn't leave for the duration of my stay even though I planned to do otherwise. The lovely peaceful setting and spectacular views could not be bettered. I loved it. Jane, Exmoor, Somerset.

  • Our stay at Danette's hut was unbeatable. The hut had every accommodation you could need for a weekend away with a whole bunch of very personal touches. The freshest ingredients possible were provided for breakfast. A variety of activities and locations were provided to visit in the nearby town of Bridport, many of the suggestions we took and had a fabulous time seeing the sights. A car is certainly a necessity. If you are thinking about visiting the hut do it, go, you will have the best, most relaxing and refreshing time.

    Olivia2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • The place was amazing. Peaceful and beautiful; Danette was very helpful in finding a nice place where to eat. Overall the experience was perfect. SUrely we will pass again if possible.

Claire's home is a charming cottage in Dorset, walking distance to everything, nature, village and pub :-). The room was large, clean and access to kitchen and bathroom very easy. We made our own dinner that evening in Claire's kitchen. Claire was helpful with whatever small issue we had, and her cats charming! And don't forget to ask to see her wonderful back yard! We can warmly recommend Claire's cottage to others!
