Beautiful Art Museum area studio –sunny and spacious with king size bed, 2 futon sofa beds, mirrored wall, private bath, shower, mini-fridge, microwave, and outdoor patio with table/chairs. Just a few blocks from many great attractions including museums, restaurants, parks, and much more! Easy access to public transportation. Fantastic location!
Yoga Studio and Art Museum Area lodgings- this unique space puts you in the center of the Art Museum District. You are less than 5 blocks from the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Rodin, Franklin Institute, Museum of Natural History, and much more! Visit Kelly Drive and Fairmount Park for walking, biking, and people watching. There are plenty of restaurants within a 5 minute walk and Center City is a 15 minute walk or a quick bus or cab ride away. There is on-street parking and the space has an open "zen" feel.
I love this neighborhood! It has a small town vibe with big city attractions. You can walk to Whole Foods or a local coffee shop and run into a bunch of friends or you can enjoy great restaurants, museums, concerts, and major events just a few blocks away. Fairmount Park is a gem with many walking/bike trails and numerous historic monuments. The street is quiet at night but nightlife is a quick walk or cab ride away. Center City is easy to get to via public transportation and there are great places to walk, hike, or cycle nearby.
  • Valerie was a great hostess and made sure we enjoyed our stay in Philly. Don't worry about the air mattress--it's more comfortable than most guest beds. Make sure to go to the Belgian beer bar near her place.

  • Valerie was welcoming and warm hostess. I joined pilates class while waiting for my room, and she was an amazing instructor as well. The room was very neat and spacious with essential necessities. The neighborhood couldn't be better, close to great restaurants and all the major museums are just steps away! I can whole heartedly recommend this place when visiting Philadelphia!

    Minna2014-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a fantastic time at Valerie's place. It was spacious, cozy, it was in a beautiful neighborhood, and it was excellently priced. I would recommend this studio to anyone who is interested in spending some time in Philadelphia. Also, Valerie was so welcoming, accommodating, and friendly.

  • I had a great time and I really loved the space. The need was comfortable, the amenities were great, and having all that space and mirrors and music inspired a few solo dance-offs. It's super convenient to a lot of great stuff as well as busses and trains. Everything was an $8 or less Uber away. She's a pro, I had a better time here than 4 star hotels.

    Matthew2015-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Place was great and affordable would definitely like to visit Philadelphia again

    Paul2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great spot to stay in a cool area of the city. The place worked really well for an overnight, and Valerie made it very easy to stay there. The place was clean and quiet. And yes, the bed was very comfortable! If you're hungry, try McCrossen's for food/drink and Sabrina's for breakfast.

    Amy2014-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Valerie's place was exactly what I expected based on the description and photos. It's amazingly cozy for a spacious yoga studio! The bed was super comfy and the fruit basket was a nice touch. I didn't have a lot of interaction with Valerie, but she was very responsive to messages and made sure I knew how everything worked. A big selling point of this place is the location. You can't beat it, especially if you want to visit the art museums. The neighborhood is charming and close to major attractions. If I return to Philly, I would definitely stay with Valerie again!

    Amy2014-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • This studio was so unique and beautiful! It is a great location in Philadelphia with many attractions close by. Valerie is a great host, she met us upon arrival showed us all we needed to know about the room and it was that simple! I highly recommend this listing!

Located next to Independence Mall, where the country’s Founding Fathers declared liberty and built a free nation, Old City still boasts charming cobblestone streets and plenty of 18th-century charm — along with an independent streak that’s evident in everything from its owner-operated shops to its edgy art scene. Its proximity to the Liberty Bell, Penn’s Landing and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge makes Old City a favorite for out-of-towners as much as for the residents who call it home. • I booked this place for the weekend of my wedding as a place for all my family/bridesmaids etc. to congregate and get ready the day of and relax and take in the city on such a special weekend. It was PERFECT. Our guests were staying at the Hilton Penn's landing, as were my bridesmaids and some of my family, and to have this BEAUTIFUL home so close by was ideal. I have never stayed in a place so beautiful, open and spacious, especially in the city! It was so comfortable for all my bridesmaids to get prepped for the wedding there- not crammed into a hotel room with beds taking up so much space and people getting hot from hair dryers etc. I stayed there all weekend and felt like an absolute queen on what was the best weekend of my life. It was so unassuming from the street- you would never know what a palace was hidden above the shops below! The only thing I would caution people on would be that there are two sets of massive stairs to get up to the apartment that I didn't think was clear from the posting (but it could be in there and I just didn't see it). I stayed there with my brother, sister in law and one year old niece, so we had a lot of stuff we were bringing in for the weekend, including food, wine, baby toys etc. and it was quite a haul getting everything in and out. Luckily we're relatively fit so it was by no means a deal breaker, but for others it could be an issue. Overall it was a splurge, but the greatest place to stay on such an important weekend for me!

  • This apartment was AMAZING! It's even better than what you see in the pictures- we did not want to leave! It's clean, really comfortable, EVERYTHING works so you know it's well-maintained, has incredible views AND is in an unbeatable location. Alex is a great and very responsive host. Rent this place before someone else does!

    Vicky2017-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was well-equipped, nice, bright and spacious. My friends and I enjoyed the space overall, and Alex was always very responsive. The only issues we had was upon entering the apartment: the code system was down, and although Alex was responsive and helped us sort out the issue, we were stuck outside for the first 15-20 minutes. Additionally, there were some ventilation noises throughout the night that interfered with some of our sleep. Those were small pains compared to the overall experience.

  • Great host, great place.

    Les2017-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was beautiful and in a great location. We loved the roof deck and views of the city.

    Michelle2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing. It looks great in pictures, but is even better in person. There is plenty of nearby parking and places to walk to, whether you are looking for food, drinks, etc. Highly recommended.

    Ryan2017-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome. Pictures and description were very accurate. Great location. Host was excellent. Highly recommend it.

    Cory2016-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • A great place and a great host! We had a group in town for a work conference and this was the perfect place for us to stay: right around the corner from great food options, street parking for those who drove, an amazing rooftop view of the river, and tons of space inside the unit so no one was on top of one another. We also appreciated Alex's communication as a host. When there were complications out of his control regarding the delivery of a couch to the unit, he was incredibly upfront and willing to go above and beyond for his guests.

Welcome to your most memorable experience in philly! With the awesome views, your heated Yacht includes smartTVs, WiFi, Keurig, towels, bedding, Bluetooth, parking & more! A few minutes from the convention center, center city and old city, history, bars & dining are at your finger tips!
At the heart of Philadelphia yet miles removed. Retreat to the sanctuary that is your yacht and dart back into the city at your pleasure. This is a truly unique experience.
Centrally located on the delaware river, next to Dave & Busters, Morgan's pier and within minutes of old city, chinatown and about a quick ride from center city. Close to everything yet away from it all if you choose to.
  • I splurged on this one. My kids' (teenage boys) eyes lit up when I said that staying on a boat during our trip to Philly was an option, and I knew it was going to be worth it! The three of us were very comfortable in the space...super comfy beds and a living room big enough for us to hang out. We used Lyft to get most places, although there were definitely places to eat within walking distance. When folks ask the boys about their favorite part of the trip, "the boat" is their enthusiastic response!

    Kerry2017-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • This review is written on behalf of me and two friends who stayed at the Paragon last weekend. Generally, we had an amazing time in our two short nights in the city. We’re from Toronto, so it was a 7-8 hour drive after work and school. Jon was very prompt in communicating with us. Prior to leaving the city, we had notified him that we would be arriving at midnight the earliest, to which he was agreeable as long as we touched base with him 1.5 hours before arriving. Cool. However, hours before we arrived in Philly, it was as if he didn’t remember our previous conversation. After telling him we would be arriving at 1:30, it was suddenly “not okay” that we were arriving so late, in spite of us barely stopping for food and gas on the way, argued that “midnight the earliest” to him meant “midnight the latest”, and complained that his girl was aggravated (assumingly because of us). Throughout our conversation, we remained polite, apologized when necessary, and tried to accommodate HIM since we were arriving late (trust me, we know polite -- we’re Canadian). Throughout these confusing hours, and according to his house rules, the keys and access to the yacht are via lockbox with specific instructions to get to the boat, so we didn’t understand why we had to rush driving to Philly before he went to bed. He ended up leaving keys at the desk to his condo 10 blocks away and we got into the yacht without any problems. Long story short, unnecessary conflict NOT avoided. Refusing to let any of that bother us, we were enjoying our first hour on the yacht until we realized that we were too cold for comfort. Again, we are from Canada and -20 degree weather is normal to us. After settling in, we realized there was NO CENTRAL HEATING as was advertised. There were space heaters connected to almost all outlets on the boat (some not even blowing hot air at all) that were continuously running, which blew a fuse in the middle of the night while we were sleeping. We all woke up to insanely cold temperature in the yacht. It honestly wouldn’t have been a huge problem if our host notified us about this before we got there so we could have packed extra blankets just in case. I don’t enjoy writing bad reviews but our experience here left me no choice. Needless to say, after two nights, we were very excited to leave to continue on to DC. Philly, we love your food, your coffee, and your history regardless.

  • The Paragon was fantastic! Easy, descriptive instructions for us without our sea legs. It was a yacht of fun!

    Jordan2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • The yacht was great. Everything was very clean and well kept. It's close enough to bars and restaurants but also very quiet if that's what you're looking for. Not that we did, but Jonathan is very helpful AND close if we would have needed anything. A+

    Domenic2017-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome experience. Definitely a highlight of our family road trip. Will recommend to my friends if they ever visit Philly!

    Rui2016-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • The Paragon was a super cool experience. I was very pleased with the accommodations, not to mention how unique the stay was. Jonathan was very responsive host and ensured we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I would totally stay on the boat again if I were in Philly.

Hi All! This 3rd floor studio room is located near center city and just a few hundred yards from the Philadelphia Museum of Art with the famous "Rocky" steps! It has lots of accommodations and the location is perfect for exploring many of Philadelphia's main attractions. This is a hybrid listing so please be sure to read the entire description before booking! You may easily self-check-in/check-out with the electronic entry system.
The Unit: This studio room is located on the third floor of a historic house. It is the only unit on this floor so it is very private. It is set up as a studio so there is no shared living space with the other units in the house (except for the bathroom). The shared full bathroom is located on the same floor, right outside the door to the unit, and in the back of the laundry hallway. The unit has a queen size canopy bed, a mini-fridge, a microwave, a dining area, a sitting area, a ceiling fan, a TV and WiFi. The unit is also appointed with fresh towels and bed linens. It also has a large closet with ample storage. *Please note this unit's bathroom is shared with unit B. It is located just outside the room's door and in the back of the private laundry room hallway. The bathroom is professionally cleaned between guests* The Building: This is a 1920’s, three-story, three-unit renovated historic brick building located approximately an 8-minute walk from the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the famous “Rocky” movie steps and 3-minute walk to Whole Foods. The Airbnb’s prime location is convenient, providing easy access to many other of Philadelphia's main attractions and public transportation, as well as a variety of eating establishments and shopping. A few of the attractions located between a 5 to 20-minute walk are: The Eastern State Penitentiary Museum, the Rodin Museum, the Barnes Foundation, Boathouse Row, The Franklin Institute, the Mütter Museum, the Comcast Center and The Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Also, the Spring Garden and Broad Street subway station is about 17-minute walk/0.8 miles.
A distinct district wedged between Center City and Fairmount proper, Spring Garden was originally built up to accommodate wealthy industrialists in the second half of the 19th century. The makeup and major draws of the neighborhood — there are multiple religious and educational institutions here — have changed dramatically since that time, but lucky for us, much of the architecture, placed under historical protection, remains in all its Victorian glory. Cordoned off by Spring Garden Street to the south, Fairmount Avenue to the north, Pennsylvania Avenue westward and Broad Street to the east, Spring Garden’s charming, sleepy feel is a byproduct of sitting north of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, the hopping boulevard that features Philly’s first-rate Museum Row. Exciting development along each of Spring Garden’s borders suggests it’s a neighborhood poised for a renaissance of its own.

  • Our week-long stay at Brian's was wonderful! Walking distance to Center City & the beautiful art museum, as well as dozens of great restaurants. The bed was cozy & the small space had everything we needed. There were no issues with sharing a bathroom & having a washer/dryer on the floor was great!

    Ali2017-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • I was very happy with my stay at Brian's. Nice room, fair price, and a convenient location.

  • As a former resident of Philadelphia, I could not be more happy to come back to the city. I chose Brian's place because of the location. Situated on spring garden st. it is right across from the Rocky steps! whole foods is also just a block away! I could not think of a better place to stay at - stepping out of Brian's place gave me the perfect deja vu! Thanks for the wonderful stay Brian. Sakshi

  • Brian was a great host, more accommodating than some hotels even. Brian helped me out with a few things. Mainly I forgot to put time on the parking meter and he added time so I wouldn't get towed. Brian also had plenty of toiletries that were very accommodating for my girlfriend that left a few things. Communication was fast and responsive. If I go back to the city, it will likely be to stay here.

    Barton2016-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Brian was super easy to communicate with, and made himself completely available to me. His apartment is really cozy and really convenient to the city. The check in/out process was really easy, overall it was an amazing experience. Definitely recommend to stay here

    Eric2016-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Brian was an excellent host — a sweet guy and very accommodating, always ready to help, The space is beautiful (exactly as pictured), tastefully furnished, very clean, and with more amenities than most airbnb rentals. It's in a fantastic location for anybody who is visiting the Barnes Foundation or the Phila. Museum of Art: just 2 or 3 blocks away. And there's a Whole Foods store just as close, as well as a Phila. Sports Club (if you care to get a workout at the gym). I recommend it highly, and will stay here again when I return to Philadelphia.

  • This was my first Airbnb experience and it was great! The train from the airport was easy ($8 cash). I called Ray to ask if early arrival was OK and he was very gracious. Took Uber from the central city to North 13th Street. Easy Breezy. Ray showed me around the apartment and gave me info about nearby restaurants and Whole Food location. The apartment is pretty much exactly what I expected. The photos are accurate. the kitchen is basic and I didn't cook but one certainly could. It was nice to have a refrigerator and coffee (french press) in the morning. I loved the bed and bath up a short flight of stairs. The bed was comfortable. There is a ton of closet space. I enjoyed sitting on the large covered balcony - especially during a rain shower. The whole place is very modern, new and clean feeling. I was attending a painting workshop literally around the corner so the location could not have been better for me. There are three great restaurants within two blocks. Prohibition Taproom, practically next door, has excellent farm-to-table food and great beer selections. It is an easy 10 minute walk to Reading Terminal Market down 12th Street. It took about 15 minutes to get to City Hall in city center by walking down Broad - one block west of 13th. Philly is a remarkably compact and walkable city. The neighborhood is in transition. There are very new looking renovations mixed with old warehouses and surface parking lots. It is definitely on the upswing and it felt secure, with tons of residential all around. Ray let me leave my bags with him after check-out so I wouldn't have to drag them around on my last day at the workshop. All in all, it was a terrific experience and I hope to stay there again next summer.

  • My wife and I really enjoyed our time at the Loft! It really is a unique place to stay - the industrial feel of the space is complimented by the furniture and decorating choices. It was SO convenient to have a parking space - the Loft is conveniently located, so we pretty much walked everywhere from there and just left the car parked for the weekend. In walking distance from the Loft are the Reading Terminal Market, China Town, and even South St. shops (a long-ish walk, but totally do-able). The bed was comfy, and the whole space was impeccably clean. The kitchen has minimal supplies compared to other airbnb places we've stayed (salt & pepper packets and a container of Italian seasoning), but certainly enough to have a drink or meal during our stay. FYI if you're a serious coffee lover, just know that there is a french press but not a coffee machine. No biggie, just good to know. Ina & Ray were in touch to make sure we knew how to get in to the Loft (they were out of town, so a lovely neighbor met us with the keys and showed us around), and checked to make sure we were doing alright. We didn't end up needing to reach them again, but I got the feeling that they were easily accessible should we have needed them. We would definitely stay here again.

    Crystal2015-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and a really nice location! I've never stayed in an apartment decorated with such a modern touch, and I really enjoyed being in the space. It was also very close to all of the shopping and great restaurants of Philadelphia, which was useful for our visit because the weather was not kind. The hosts were very inviting! I would absolutely stay here again, and recommend it to anyone looking for a place near Center City (or especially near Union Transfer, if a concert is on your agenda) that's nicer than any hotel for less money.

  • Had a wonderful one night stay at Ina and Ray's place. The location was perfect for me and i appreciated the off street parking they let me use. Bed was very comfy and the apartment was very clean. Loved the fact they had fresh Starbucks beans and a grinder/French press as that is my preferred method of morning coffee! Only thing missing was milk but I was able to buy some nearby no problem! Hope to be back soon!

    Cynthia And Peter2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Ina and Ray are as lovely as their place -- was an excellent place to stay in Philly. Only thing to be aware of is the neighborhood is a bit loud at night and room faces the street, so light sleepers may have a bit of a difficult time. Otherwise the place is great!

  • This was our first experience with airbnb and we loved it. We enjoyed our stay, and what a great location! Brian helped us by reserving a parking space next to the apartment so we could stash our car and take taxis or walk around town. We had no trouble accessing the apartment, and everything was exactly as described. The apartment was tastefully decorated, clean and comfy, and an economical alternative to the downtown hotels. I will highly recommend Brian as host when family or friends need a place to stay in Philadelphia.

    Cindy2015-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Brian's apartment was a great homebase for our short stay in Philadelphia as a starting point for a roadtrip to the Capital Region. The apartment is just as shown in the pictures, very tastefully decorated. It is very close to both the Art Museum and the Eastern State Penitentiary...both of which are a "must-see". There are some nice neighborhood restaurants on Fairmount Ave and Callowhill Street, the most inexpensive parking place we found was at the corner of 17th and Callowhill at $ 9 per day (and we could pay in advance...). We would definitely stay with Brian again!

    Jessica2016-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I just spent the past two nights here, which was during the Jonas storm. The studio apartment was exactly like the pictures shown. It was very clean and cozy. It had everything you would expect from a hotel plus the sense of it feeling like home. Brian is the best! He was in constant contact when we had any questions, helped us out with staying another night at his place through the storm, and got a snow shovel when our car was stuck. I definitely recommend this place and would come stay here again.

  • Brian was an amazing host! It's hosts like him that make AirBnB so great. He was incredibly welcoming and truly excels at making you feel at home. The apartment itself is really pretty, I love the wooden furniture throughout, it has a wonderful feel to it. And the location is fantastic too, just a block from Whole Foods, and so close to Logan Square, the Art Museum, and many other historical and artistic buildings. Brian is exceptional at responding quickly and at helping you with anything that you need. I highly recommend you stay with him!

  • This was our first Airbnb and Brian has set a high standard for our future trips. The room was amazing and in a great location. We were steps from the Philadelphia Museum of Art & Rocky Steps. There was a corner store and gas station also at your fingertips making it very convenient. Brian was an excellent host. Although we only got a brief glimpse of him, he was extremely hospitable. He was super responsive to messages and whenever we had a need or question, he made it a priority to help us. Without seeing him we felt the warmth in the apartment. The decor was also a nice touch. Thanks Brian!

  • Great Room. Excellent Host, very helpful. Good Location. Would consider it again if I come to Philadelphia next time.

  • The studio is romantic and close to so many cool spots. Having a bathroom outside the residence wasn't a big deal, so don't let that stop you from booking it.

This quiet, cozy room is an easy walk to the city's best museums, parks, and attractions. Enjoy great dining, shopping, and nightlife. Experience city life with a local flavor and easy access to bus, rail, & subway lines.
This cozy room in an 18th century carriage house features a queen-size bed bed, antique arm chair, bureau, a lovely oriental rug, as well as Cable TV and wi-fi. Antique inlaid Japanese screens provide privacy in lieu of a traditional wall in an otherwise open floor plan. The room is located above a working yoga/dance studio. Guests may occasionally hear a class in session or may opt to attend a class if they choose. (Class schedule/pricing is available on request) The space has many unique architectural features including the original wood ceiling beams, carriage lift, skylights, and more. (If you are a group of 3 a twin foam mattress will automatically be made available for the 3rd person. If you are a group of 2 and want separate sleeping accomodations a twin mattress can be set up on request for an additional $10. Please let us know in advance of your stay.)Two adorable cats, Batman and Bella, reside here and are happy to greet visitors but can also be kept separate upon request. There is often free on-street parking available in the neighborhood.
I love this neighborhood! It has a small town vibe with big city attractions. You can walk to Whole Foods or a local coffee shop and run into a bunch of friends or you can enjoy great restaurants, museums, concerts, and major events just a few blocks away. The street is quiet at night but night life is a quick walk or cab ride away. Center City is easy to get to via public transportation and there are great places to walk, hike, or cycle nearby.

  • Valerie is an extraordinary host. She runs a very welcoming and comfortable experience. I have zero complaints, everything was exactly as advertised and more.

    Devin2015-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Valerie was a very nice host with a beautiful and unique space. She was very helpful with guiding us towards restaurants/bars in the immediate area. My boyfriend and I went for Valentine's Day and she even left us chocolates and set up decorative lights! She also gives you a discounted price for her studio classes if you are a guest. Thank you!

    Christine2015-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Valerie was so sweet and the place was adorable. It was definitely a cozy stay at a very unique place. We were in walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go around the city and had fruit and snacks in our room to take on the go. It was great! I only wish I had time to take a yoga class there before we left!!

    Stephanie2015-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Valerie and her place were amazing. Staying in this beautiful and zen room was a very last minute decision and she was extremely accommodating and kind about this fact! This location is in a beautiful neighborhood and extremely comforting and safe. The actual room is beautiful, well lit, and wonderfully decorated. The bed was very comfortable and she had more than what we needed. It is an extremely peaceful place with a wonderful and loving kitty, a beautiful porch, and tons of comfy sitting chairs. She kindly left out fruit and wine for us if we got hungry and invited us to join in on her morning yoga class. We took her up on the offer and it was the perfect way to wake up. Valerie is an amazing person, yoga instructor, and host. I will definitely be staying with her again, my only regret is that I didn't find her place sooner!

  • i was fortunate enough to be able to have stayed in the Cozy Room and it was precisely that -- more than enough space for me but decorated with warm colors and textures. Valerie made me feel very welcome, provided a thorough orientation to the space and the neighborhood, and introduced me to her two wonderful cats. i stayed for just one night and was occupied for much of that with work and a seminar. But even for the short duration of my stay the atmosphere was so very comfortable and welcoming. Much of what i needed to access in the area was walkable, and there was good dining, a market, and coffee shops quite close by. public transportation access was also nearby and not difficult to navigate. my only regret is that there were no yoga classes during my time there, but maybe i can catch one next time!

    Kevin2016-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Valerie was very welcoming and helped us with any questions we had about the area. The parking was a big plus! The place was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. My friend and I were in town for a show at Union Transfer and the location was perfect for this. Wish we would've known ahead of time that the room didn't have a door- just dividers but was still a private and comfortable experience. Would recommend and would definitely return!

  • Michael was a great host! When we return to Philadelphia, we will definitely stay at Michael's apartment again. He provided great information on how to easily get from the airport to his apartment. The apartment is located on a very small side street with no traffic, just enough space to park a car for those living or visiting the area. As a result, it was VERY quiet. The bed was also very comfortable, a firm yet soft mattress. The apartment had everything you needed, kureg coffee maker with coffee, full size refrigerator, microwave, stove, a back porch, and even included juices and snacks for us. The apartment is only 5 blocks away from a subway stop to most anywhere in town and about 1 mile from the main train station to anywhere in the country.

    Mark2015-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Was completely delighted with the accommodations and host Micheal, he treated me like an old friend. Had schedules of the buses that run by the place (#17 & 40 will take you anywhere you could possibly need to go in Philly!) He asked in advance what things I was interested in and had all sorts of brochures and (Hidden by Airbnb) map directions to the places. There were nice little touches around the apartment, from the little spa quality soaps and shampoos to a little "welcome" monogrammed hand towel and even a cold drink waiting for me in the fridge (which I needed & drank immediately!) It's fully contained, freshly painted, tastefully decorated and the bed was more comfortable than my bed at home! Did I mention the location was excellent? It's on a darling little street, very close to downtown and steps away from the famous South Street. As a female traveling alone (from Canada) I felt very safe in this neighbourhood and have no qualms about recommending it. Thanks Micheal!

    Paula2011-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a great time staying at Michael's place! The apartment was situated in a beautiful area, and made walking around to explore the neighborhood incredibly fun. Michael provided maps and lists of local attractions, which helped us navigate (easily!) a city neither of us had ever been to. The option to pay for a private parking spot also allowed us to rest easy while on vacation, and made the apartment that much more sweet. Stay here!

    Mallory2013-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • The place was in perfect shape, the apartment is actually nicer than the pictures. If I was ever in Philly again I would defiantly try to stay there again. Michael was extremely accommodating letting me check in early and and check out later. The neighborhood was also awesome everything that I needed and wanted was right in the area literally walking distance from everything I needed to do while in Philadelphia. Just Perfect!

    Rodmann2013-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great apartment, super clean and just right for the quick stay my husband and I enjoyed here. Our host Michael was kind enough to include a street map with walking directions to the Kimmel Center about ten minutes from this adorable row house, and he also left instructions about how to use the parking permit, a bargain at $10 a day or $35 a week. We especially loved the Keurig coffee maker, and Michael even stocked the kitchen with k-cups as well as juice and water.

    Gwen2014-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Michael's place was clean and very convenient to everything in Center City. He has easy directions for check-in and checking-out. Stay was flawless.

    Tom2016-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This spot was fantastic! Michael was a great host. He made it easy to get access to the apartment and to find our way around town. He also provided excellent directions so everything was clear and easy. The apartment is adorable and lovely in every way: perfectly located, and really effuses that Philly feel. I would definitely stay here again!

    Yannick2016-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Michael's loft was delightful -- exactly as advertised, cozy, and professional hotel-quality spotless. Though I didn't get to meet him in person, it was entirely hassle-free connecting with him via messaging and arranging all the logistics. Would definitely stay again!

  • This was my first time using Air BnB. Had I known it would be this easy & hassle-free, I would’ve used this much sooner!

    Marisa2017-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Very convenient central location. It is a nice one-bedroom apartment.

    Heng2018-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • For my first AirBnB experience it was 1st Class! Clean and Cozy ! I see why Patrick is a SUPERHOST ! Communication - on point quick response and clear ! I have stayed at hotels in the area - nothing beats his accomodations !

    sheila2017-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • The location of the apartment is very good, really close to the underground, the airport line, restaurants... It was as we expected, no surprises. Patrick was kind and attentive and it was really easy to stay in touch with him. The only flaw we found is that the kitchen was not fully equiped if you wanted to cook in there (no mugs, no cleaning cloth...)

    Elisa2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome host! I would definitely recommend this to any families coming to Philly. The space was comfortable and Patrick was great with communication. Walkable distance between Airbnb, Greyhound bus station, public transportation, and Reading Terminal Market. Lots of little shops and restaurant in the area as well. Accommodations exceeded expectation.

    Shamaru2017-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Patrick's spot during a professional conference. The apartment was conveniently located near city center and met the basic necessities I needed. I would recommend it for those in need of a functional home base as they visit the city center and surrounding area. Patrick was good at communicating and when a couple minor issues came up, he was quick to resolve them.

    Jimmy2018-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Patrick's place is conveniently located next to the Convention Center just 5 mins away from City Hall. The apartment has a comfortable bed. It is located next to the parking garage and may be noisy (from the a/c) but fortunately there is not that much traffic noise from the road during the night. Overall, the place is OK to stay if you are not looking for anything special. Just keep in mind it is on the second floor of an older building and getting upstairs with the luggage may be tricky.

    Volha2017-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Incredibly good location, especially if you're attending something at the convention center. Clean, comfortable place, and a very good bargain. The very bright streetlight just outside was not blocked very well by the shades. Nitpicky points: it'd be nice to have had a dish towel and wash cloth, and a better way to measure coffee than a teaspoon. Patrick was very responsive. I'd stay here again and would recommend it to others.

  • Nancy’s place is really good located, parking was easy and free on her street. Her communication with me was great; Also it is located in a safe area of Philly, where you can walk for shops and coffee places around the university, so no worries to walk late night in or out. Kitchen had coffee available and dishes for two. Only missed paper towels/kitchen towel. The bathroom/shower is tight so if you are kind of big person will may feel uncomfortable but was clean and shower gets super hot (liked it). I would def stay there again.

    Esmeralda2018-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, tidy space great for a quick business trip. Nancy and husband Bill were very responsive. Check in and out process was super easy. Nice amenities (shampoo, body gel, kcups, tea) although pretty disappointed that there was only decaf coffee!! A bit of an older place but kept up well.

    Clarabelle2017-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • lovely spot! good value.

    Elena2017-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • I am very dissatisfied with this host and this place. Having used AIRBNB in the recent past, I have come to expect a level of cleanliness and communication that was unmet by this experience. There was hair in the bathroom sink that was not mine. The floors and countertops were dirty. Less than 10 minutes after entering, I had to kill a cockroach. As it was very late (after 11pm) I decided not to contact the host's husband that evening and left very early in the morning. When I returned home and communicated my concerns to the host, she denied my refund request and did not even offer a partial refund for the cleaning fee. I do not recommend this place.

    Wesley2018-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Even though it is a studio sized kitchen, Nancy provided pretty much everything you will need for a short time stay, even first aid kit which I did benefit.

View the photos! 35th & Spring Garden St, free parking, walking distance to Drexel, Univ. of Penn, The Art Museum, 30th street station. 'Rent-a-Room' styled listing, not for hanging out/entertaining added guests in the living room area. You will be the only reservation and share my home. The low price is due to the size & sharing the home with me. Reservations of five or six are Not Instant book Eligible.
Before booking: Review all information as this acts as our contact paired with your security deposit. The private bedroom that I offer holds a Full-Size memory foam bed, with another bunked/lofted on top that can hold two guests each with remaining guests in the living room. I live in this house, with my own personal room on the second floor and mainly reside in the living room. This is not a space for hanging out/entertaining added guests in the living room area, or for bringing unregistered/unapproved guests as you will be responsible for any charges. I host one reservation at a time in our home, with a single reservation of up to six guests but only with prior authorization. The house has a kitchen for lite cooking/food storage, I share the main bathroom, and offer space in the living room for reservations over four. I live in the house year-round, but guests check-in is independent, using keyless locks. The guest room is small/medium which I find is perfect for some guests, and is reflected in the photos and price. It is a quiet room, private, and has what you need to shower, sleep, and eat the food you bring. Clean bedding is provided. I do prefer if guests to bring you’re their own towels if possible. The neighborhood has been gentrified due to U. Penn and Drexel's involvement, and keep campus security bike police on patrol 24 hours a day, giving our guests (and us) peace of mind when in a new city. Check-In is after 3 pm, and Check-Out is before 12 pm. Keyless Door Locks with numbered codes allow you to enter independently, at any time during your reservation. I have over six years of Airbnb experience allowing us to feel comfortable with our guests in the home. There is typically little interaction between us and our guests during the reservation ("Do your thing, as I'll do ours"). * Reservations of 5 or 6: I only suggest this as an option if you are trying to save money or promptly need a place to stay as it is a money saving compromise. The house will feel small with 6 people, and the living room is only intended for sleep. The additional guests who sleep in the living room will need to pay $10 extra for both the fifth and sixth guest per night to cover utilities and extra space required as you would be renting the entire house instead of the room.
There is free parking in front of the house. Take any spot but look for parking signs. The house is North of University City, one block north of Powelton Village. Drexel and Penn University Security Guards monitor the neighborhood at all times. Please don't judge the neighbors as it is a judge of your own character. PHILLY IS DIVERSE and the issues I had were from people stereotyping the neighbors who live here. This isn't to be rude, it is just that cultures are different and some people are surprised that a University neighborhood has everything from homeowners, to college students, to people like me who have lived everywhere in Philly and found Powerlton/Mantua to be the best neighborhood! For security reasons and by Airbnb regulations, I am not able to give you the exact address or information about the house off of the website. College campus police/security guards monitor the area, in addition to the Fire Department and police station that is nearby. The area is a mix of college students, homeowners, and the normal Philly corner kids who look more intimidating that they are. I have never had a problem in this area, nor have my previous guests.
  • The accommodations are as described and the previous reviews are accurate. It's a small room, you'd be hard pressed to beat it for the price and location. Nice enough bathroom. Everything is clean. Check in/out are a breeze. Didn't get a chance to meet Alicia, but she made sure everything was perfect for our stay. Stayed 3 nights and had no issues whatsoever. We came in from the airport and had to give the cab driver relatively specific directions, but he found the place with no problem. About a $30 cab ride from the airport. It's really close to the 30th street train station (we walked there with our luggage as we went to NYC). At first glance you might think the neighbourhood is not the greatest, but this isn't the case - we had no issues. We arrived around 11 pm by cab and walked back the other 2 nights after dark and didn't feel unsafe at all. When walking from the south you walk through the Drexel campus for a large part of the trip. There are only about 8 or so short blocks that you are north of campus, but the streets are well lit and we had no hesitations about walking. I have no reservations about recommending Alicia's place. It's a great location for University City, and even city centre, by foot. I'd definitely stay again.

  • Alicia has a very thorough listing, which is what made me choose her space. About a week before my stay, she reached out to confirm arrival/departure schedules. When I arrived to Philly, Alicia's home was much like her listing! I even noticed that had I forgotten any toiletries, Alicia had provided some for her guests. When we crossed paths during my stay, the first thing Alicia did was ensure I had everything I needed.

  • Good host, very cozy place and convenient location for medical students that are taking the Step 2 CS exam.

  • Of course I am really thankful for my place to stay but I feel a really weird about this stay. Most of all because of all the notes around the house. There is paper with the rules on the door where you come in, in the living room, in the bathroom, in your bedroom, in the kitchen, etc. But also the rules are written on the walls and on objects; shut this, don't use this, keep the door open, lock this - do this, do that. I get you need some rules in the house but this did not feel relaxed and during my entire stay I was afraid to break something or do something wrong. But the place is quite clean and the bed is very good. You don't have to worry about a hot house because there are around 6 fans blowing all day and night... I did not meet Alicia but she made it very easy to get the keys and she was easy on the check-in and check-out time. I loved that the house is just next to city centre so you can walk anywhere. To the museum of Arts will take around 15 minutes, city center around 25 minutes I think. The neighborhood is a littlebit neclected but it felt quite safe.

  • Alicia was so welcoming, and the room was perfectly clean and comfortable. I easily found parking outside, and it was a quick Uber trip do and from downtown. I really appreciate her using the lockbox - it made everything feel very secure and like she takes Airbnb seriously. I had access to an equally clean bathroom as well, and also a closet, which was good because I was in town for professional reasons. Great quality, great value.

Welcome to my compact home close to the transitioning Point Breeze neighborhood, only 25 minutes walk, 10 minute drive, or short bike ride from the heart of center city. Greenwich Street is a quiet, safe street, with a real neighborly feel. The interior was renovated in 2016 and offers a 'home away from home' atmosphere, comfortable for two people. Parking is on street and readily available. There is a small courtyard area at the rear of the house - enjoy an alfresco supper!
The main living area is on the 1st (ground) floor, steps lead up to the 2nd floor bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The bedroom has a full size (double) bed and I will provide fresh bed linens and towels. The kitchen is fully equipped with great appliances including a double oven range and Bosch dishwasher, refrigerator.
Being between the Point Breeze and Graduate Hospital neighborhoods of Philadelphia means that you have access to some great dining spots, brunch, lunch, dinner, we have you covered. The lively South Street area, between 23rd and 15th streets is not to be missed and I can give you some great recommendations. A slightly longer walk will take you to the Rittenhouse Square area in center city. Relax in the park with a book and watch Philadelphia go about its business, or enjoy a long leisurely lunch overlooking the square. From there stroll down Walnut and Chestnut streets and enjoy the abundant stores and Liberty Place mall (Chestnut Street). Walk further east and you will start to experience the rich historical areas the city has to offer, Independence Mall, Liberty Bell, Washington Square, Society Hill and the eclectic Old City area.
  • Loved staying at Anthony’s place. Anthony was super accommodating, and responded quickly to messages. His place is spotlessly clean and updated. I’d book with him again!

  • Anthony’s place was absolutely stunning & spotless! He allowed us to check in early, due to traveling on the train & arriving prior to the standard check-in time. He met us and walked us throughout his space to make sure we knew where everything was and felt comfortable and also offered suggestions for places to eat! He even provided muffins & preset the coffee machine for the next morning! Such a great place to stay that was quiet & had everything we needed! Thanks again Anthony for everything!

    Jessica2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Anthony’s home was very clean, neat, stylish, cozy and was located in a very quiet, safe area. You will be impressed the moment you walk through the door! He was accommodating with our needs. We will definitely stay here next time we come to Philly!

Cozy Private room in fabulous area. -Great location! 10 minute walk to the historic district (Liberty Bell, Constitution Center, Independence Hall, etc.) One block form trendy South St., Close to TLA, Old City, Center City, Pennsylvania Hospital and the Historic Sites. Easy walk to Rittenhouse Square. Close to public transit and many great restaurants and attractions.
The house has a location central to many fun and fascinating sites. Across from a neighborhood park and right in the heart of the dynamic South Street area (known for lots of funky shops and restaurants) it also boasts proximity to the historic Society Hill area and the Old City historic district. The Magic Gardens and the Theater of the Living Arts are only a few blocks away and one can easily walk or take public transit to the Center City shopping district or the renowned Art Museum Area.
  • Valerie is such a nice and great host! She was there to welcome us in and show us around the house. The house is situated in a lovely neighborhood in Center City East, Philadelphia. It is two blocks away from South Street, where you'll find a myriad of restaurants and stores. It is in walking distance to most if not all of the main tourist attractions of Philly. There is a bus stop just around the corner from her place and the closest SEPTA and PATCO train stations are both about a 10-15 min walk from the house. The house is well kept, clean, and just as described. I highly recommend staying at Valerie's when you need a place in Philly.

    Richard2016-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location - nice, quiet neighbourhood with a cozy coffee shop 1/2 block away. The room is "snug" but sized just right for one person. Would absolutely stay there again.

    Scott2016-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • The room was private, quiet and had a lock. I was nervous about sharing a bathroom, but the bathroom was really clean and I didn't have to compete with other guests for use at any time. I had a really great stay in an awesome neighborhood! 10/10

    Christina2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Check-in was convenient and easy, and Valerie was very responsive to my questions. This is an ideal stay for people coming into the city for short business trips and for those who want to be close to some interesting landmarks and restaurants!

    Andrew2017-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Valerie was very accommodating with my late arrival time and approachable with any questions about the city. I loved the location, I could walk just about everywhere I wanted to go. I had a great stay in Philly and hope to be back soon =)

    Melissa2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, pleasant peaceful atmosphere

    Eden2016-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Valerie's house for two days and two nights in March 2016. The neighbourhood was lovely, her street is really beautiful. We arrived earlier than the check in time, so she let us drop off the bags there. The bedroom and bathroom were really clean and well-equipped. We were very comfortable there, and the house is walking-distance from many restaurants and tourist attractions. I highly recommend Valerie's house to anyone who wants to get to know Philly :)

    Barbara2016-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • I never actually met Valerie, but communication was super easy. There was nothing fancy to the spot, but it was clean and close to old town. Only complaint was to maybe put down some glow tape on the step in the hall and the stairs, both of which can be treacherous! Valerie was very communicative and check in and out was easy. Thanks for the stay!

Located in Queen's Village. This listing books fast because of the location and amenities compared to that of a hotel. **Private Home** Here is the answers to the most asked questions: 1. Parking - ** I used to offer this but my neighbors did not like people parking on the narrow street so no more parking offered for free, but there is street parking. Please do not park on the street as it is too narrow for parking. My suggestion would be to park past Washington Ave which is one block away, here you will find free parking, if you go the opposite direction toward South street for parking you will have to pay... Its always best to go the opposite direction from the attractions to find parking. I can find parking in under 5 minutes, if you follow this direction you should be able to do the same! 2. Mobility and access issues - This home is not mobility issue friendly, do to the staircase, which older/ disabled individuals would have access issues 3. One couch in the living room, a shorter person would have no issue sleeping here, however there is amble room to stretch out in the living room. 6. Security camera installed at the back door entry way, this allows me to make sure guests check out and that no major issues arise. I believe the above will determine if this unit is a great fit for you.

  • The space is okay. However, the host is very rude. He said my opinion is irrelevant because it's probably the only thing I own. However here is my review. This was my mother's first time in Philadelphia. She drove her personal car, parking was horrible. I'm not sure if you clean or have someone else doing the cleaning. There was dust on the furniture, old food from last guest in the fridge. The coffee pot was extremely dirty. I cleaned it to the best I could. The dish detergent was empty, soap for hands was empty, the pillows were horrible. They need to be thrown out asap. What bothered me was the camera; felt I was being watched. That was creepy. When I read what you wrote about your place I expected more. There's no pots. I had to boil my water in the microwave. Moreover, the only thing I truly loved and enjoyed was the shower; perfect temperature. thank god for the shower. The house is nice for couples. Also, it's a safe neighborhood and very quiet. Ps. The classist response he said to me for my opinions was very uncalled for and unprofessional.

Steps from the Convention Center, Jefferson University Hospital, public transit, and countless bars and restaurants, this condo is nestled in the heart of Washington Square West, one of Philadelphia's oldest and most premiere neighborhoods. Originally built in 1912, this condo was recently renovated to suit modern life. This is the perfect place to experience Philly -- be it business, pleasure, or both.
The first time I stepped into this apartment, I couldn't help but let slip a House-Hunters-worthy "WOW!" -- And that's when it was stark and empty. Now with thoughtful furniture arrangement and careful attention to subtle design choices, you'll love this space as much as I do. Enter this first floor unit through the main living space -- which includes a dining area, living area, and kitchen. As you make your way toward the back of the condo, you'll find a spacious bedroom with a king-size memory foam bed, along with the bathroom which boasts a spacious walk-in shower.
Washington Square West has been my favorite place to call home. For me, it's the ideal urban experience with the perfect balance of brownstones, high-rises, bars, restaurants, parks, galleries, and other local businesses. It's quiet and safe enough to get a good night's rest, while also being steps from everything the City of Brotherly Love has to offer. • It really is a beautiful space in a sweet neighborhood. The bedroom is quiet and the bed is wonderfully comfortable; the morning light is lovely. It's a great place to start and end a day. It's an easy walk to all kinds of public transportation, there is a great organic grocery three blocks away and an abundance of restaurants. The kitchen is well set up and functions easily; we made supper once and had everything needed. (There aren't spices and herbs on hand, but I wasn't an issue. This was our third night there and made our plans to fit.)

This is a clean, simple, and budget private room with a private bathroom and shower. Room is located in basement of a 4 story apartment complex, gated entry that is separate from apartment tenants. Comes with fresh linens & full size bed and complimentary tea and chocolates. There's also access to coin-op washer and drier, and free WiFi. Sorry but we do not accommodate early/late luggage holdings.
This is an up and coming neighborhood. There are 2 bars down the street and eateries within a 10 minute walk along the Spring Garden area. We are down the street from the Philadelphia Mausoleum of Contemporary Art and a 5 min walk away from Union Transfer. We are also a 10 min walk away from Chinatown and a 5 min walk from the nearest Septa Subway Station. Let us know if you have any questions!
  • Lugar privado y de fácil acceso, muy limpio y cerca a zonas turísticas.

    Oscar2017-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • The room itself is simple but nice for the price. It was both clean and had some nice details (such as free chocolate!). Two things that are worth to point out, however, is that to get into the room you enter through a back-alley and through a door in a wall, then through a laundry room into a basement. Not ideal the most normal fresh entrance but I suppose it works. Secondly, there are water pipes in the walls that were terribly loud (like a jet stream kinda noise) when the people upstairs used water, which they did a lot at 2-3am on a Monday. As in, beware if you're a light sleeper. Other than that no complaints!

  • This Air Bnb is wonderful, we spent one night there and we loved it. You can walk to every place everything is close. There is some restaurants around 5/10 min walk where you can eat. The place is quiet and Marcus and Jing were really nice with us and helpful. I highly recommend this air bnb! Thank you again guys it was awsome!

    Claudia2017-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • A nice room with ensuite. It was lovely to have items like tea and chocolates provided. The room is small but we really only used it for sleeping so it was fine. It also could get cold but there is a heater provided and the blankets were enough for us. Marcus was kind enough to let us leave our bags before check in time and give us some directions. It's about a 15 minute walk into the city centre or a cheap Lyft or Uber ride. We didn't use the subway, but there is a station nearby.

There were also travel brochures, discount coupons for museums and water bottles for tourists like me visiting phili. Would definetly recommend for travellers looking for a cheap place to stay :)

  • Spacious and modern loft on east side of city center. Apartment is just as described and photos are accurate. Host was very responsive and provided comprehensive guidance for our arrival. Everything we needed was easily available, and we would stay again.

  • Great location! Lively street but quiet apartment. Very clean too. Perfect for a group of friends or a family stay.

  • Great space in the heart of Old City. Easy walk to many restaurants, historic sites and museums.

  • 很喜欢这个房子的构造,客厅上方的小阁楼设计很有意思,两个洗手间也很适合家庭入住。唯一的问题就是隔音不好,睡在一楼的人翻个身阁楼上都听得到。

Short walk to famous cheesesteaks, Passyunk Ave, Italian Market. Around the corner from Cosmi's Deli (famous hoagies!) & Termini Bros (famous cannolis!). 3 BRs, 2 full bath. Up & coming South Philly neighborhood. Located next to hip/vibrant/classic South Philly stretches & short cab ride or long walk to Center City. Pets welcome but please clear with me first. Large groups welcome as long as you're nice to the house & neighbors. If check in/out times don't work let me know & we'll figure it out.
The house in on the eastern edge of the hip neighborhood of Passyunk Square, one of the best walking neighborhoods in Philly. Another great neighborhood called Pennsport is a couple of block further east. *While we allow for large groups, this is not a house for partying. This is a quiet neighborhood, and we've received complaints from the neighbors about the past guests, so we now must be extra strict about this. You may not hangout outside (out front or out back) after 10pm. If you think your group may drink and get loud, please rent another house. * You're within walking distance to plenty of great shops and restaurants. If you want to go into Center City, the subway is only 2 blocks away. Pets are usually ok. Let me know in the request what kind of pet you'd like to bring. And add an extra person to the request for each pet. There is a TV with 40 channels (including HBO) and an Xbox One (with a few games) that allows you to login to Netlfix/Hulu/Amazon if you have a password. There are also HDMI cords to hook up your laptop. We now have a pack n play for babies :) If you have a car: There is actually free street parking available on some blocks near the house. However, some of the streets are 2 hour parking, including the street the house is on. It's block by block so you'll just need to pay attention to street signs. Really, it's about as good a parking situation you'll find if you want to be close to the center of the city. You will find a spot but not always immediately. Advice from a previous guest about parking: “Best place to park is right around the corner where it is 24 hours parking. You can normally find parking in the general area around. Only a few nights did I park a few blocks away. Most nights I parked literally right around the corner on Greenwich street.” The second shower in the downstairs bathroom is honestly quite small but still a nice bonus for large group trying to get ready all at the same time.
Our house is on the eastern edge of the Passyunk Square neighborhood just near the border of the historical Pennsport neighborhood. Passyunk Square is ideal for those who are interested in experiencing the heart of South Philadelphia away from traditional tourist spots. It is a very diverse neighborhood with long term residents, as well as newer arriving immigrant and refugee communities, hipsters, and young professionals. There is a strong sense of community here, with many folks sitting on their stoops and talking to their neighbors. Our block is a community of teachers, social workers, park rangers, nurses, musicians, security guards, and lawyers. The immediate area is bustling during the day.. there is a grade school around the corner you can hear from the kitchen window and the neighborhood kids are always laughing and playing on the block when they're not in school. At night, things are quiet and safe. It's a diverse neighborhood so everyone is naturally relaxed, welcoming, or just oblivious doing their own thing. There are lots of dive bars, ethnic and fusion restaurants, and one-of-a-kind cafes. You will find plenty of places to experience new and delicious food. If you wander 10 minutes west towards Broad St. and the subway, you'll be in the heart of the Passyunk Ave restaurant and shopping district. It was named FOOD & WINE MAGAZINE Top 10 Foodie Streets in America. You can also walk to the famous Pat's and Geno's cheese steaks. The Italian Market is equally close. The famous stretch of night life on South St isn't far either. You don't always hear about it in the travel guides, but all locals know the best hoagies in the city are right around the corner at Cosmi's Deli. Try their Italian, Caprese, chicken cutlet Lagas, or cheesesteak hoagie.
  • Jason was great. Easy to communicate with great directions. I had never been to Philly before so I felt a little ways out of the way of everything. We walked a lot of places and there are a couple local watering holes near by. My only complaint is he says it can sleep 7 we had 5 no couples so we used the air mattresses and futon and they weren’t great. If you have couples who will share beds and kids it would work just fine.

    Steve2018-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Jason was a very nice host. He was very helpful and easy to communicate whenever we had questions while we were staying here. The house was great and we definitely enjoyed staying here. Thank you!

    Kevin2018-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed Jason's place is really great value! Everything was as he describes and communication was fantastic.if we come back to Philly we would definitely stay in this place again.

  • We only stayed for one night and spent most of our time exploring and this definitely served the purpose of a place to stay. It was clean and quiet and walkable. We really appreciated the restaurant and bar suggestions - we used them for every meal we had there.

    Alison2018-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here with a group of friends and everyone loved the place! Comfortable and had everything we needed. Great location and Jason was very responsive and eager to be as helpful as possible. Would definitely stay here again!

  • Jason seemed to be an honest guy to deal with. No surprises. He came through with his promises and we have no complaints.

    Kevin2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Jason’s space was very spacious and comfortable for our group! We enjoyed getting to know the neighborhood and experience the culture of South Philly. Jason was incredibly accommodating and quick to respond to any questions or messages we sent! Next time I’m in Philly, I’ll certainly be staying here. Be sure to check out the local tips he gave to! The neon mural is an excellent photo opportunity!

    Matthew2018-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Jason's place is great. It's cozy, and comfortable, . There's lots of space to yourself and lots of privacy. There's plenty of restaurants and pubs around if you want to go out. And a nice Mexican corner store half a block away if you feel like a snack. It's not too hard to get around at least by Uber and most places are not too far away. Overall if you want to feel at home while you're in philly, you must stay here!

This simple studio, located on the second floor of a historic brownstone, is great for most any traveler. It's got original wood floors, a queen bed with a new memory foam mattress, and a large bay window. It's a cozy and unique space.
This studio, located on the second floor of a beautiful brownstone, is fully furnished and very comfortable. All the furniture's new. The apartment's located on the rear side of the building, so it's very private, quiet, and safe. The apartment also gets lots of natural light because of the building's unique layout. This studio is located on the second floor of a historic Rittenhouse mansion. The great location, just a block from Rittenhouse Square, also makes the studio a great place to stay. Everything that you might need during your stay is just steps away.
Rittenhouse Square is a fantastic neighborhood. The studio is one block from the Square and two blocks from the neighborhood Starbucks and main grocery store. It's a really beautiful, safe neighborhood with a very high walk score.

  • Everything is true in the reviews both good and bad. It is a great location and comfortable studio. Mia does not respond other than automated. I messaged as instructed in itinerary before I arrived to get key instructions and she never responded. I was 1 hour late to a dinner reservations scheduled weeks in advance because of the miscommunication with doctors who I had scheduled to meet with during a health conference.

Explore Center City from our newly renovated 2.5 BR 2 BA apartment in a historic brownstone. Located in the city's most beautiful neighborhood, 2 blocks from Rittenhouse Square you can walk to Univ. City, and the best restaurants and shopping!
Our charming two story apartment provides great privacy for small or large groups with a fully renovated bathroom to accompany both bedrooms on each floor. This historic brownstone features: A fully equipped eat in kitchen with brand new stainless steel Italian appliances, including a dishwasher 46" Smart TV w/ HBO and Apple TV Queen beds w/ a twin trundle bed in each bedroom Sleeper sofa in the living room Twin bed in the upstairs sleeping nook Free WiFi Washer/Dryer Historically preserved features in a protected Rittenhouse brownstone The apartment can comfortably accommodate up to nine guests or is the perfect spot for groups that want two private spaces with a common area to share.
Rittenhouse is the most desirable neighborhood in the city centered around Rittenhouse Square Park and Walnut Street with its upscale shopping. Surrounded by all the great restaurants, you'll have many food options as well as the best shopping in the city. If you're visiting Univ. of Penn or Drexel it's just a short walk across the Schuylkhill river. Rittenhouse is walking distance or a short taxi/Uber ride to all of Philadelphia's major museums and landmarks. I highly also recommend Fitler Square Park just three blocks away. Also four blocks west is the new bike and jogging bridge at Schuylkhill River Trail, and all the playgrounds and parks below it.
  • Lovely place in a great location. Parking was a bit hairy but we had 4 people coming from 4 different direction so parking 4 cars on a Thursday afternoon was our issue, not theirs. The Hosts provided directions for a parking garage and we were a go. Their place was very clean and welcoming. There were lots of stairs so if you're not a "stair person" this place isn't for you. We took them two at a time. Although brief, we truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

    Maureen2015-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was a fabulous flat in the best neighborhood! Very clean and comfortable and plenty of places to sleep. Heating worked well, nice hot showers and firm beds. My kids appreciated access to Netflix to keep them entertained while we got ready to explore the city each day. Walking distance from the train station made this location nice. Plenty of great restaurants close by. I ran out of time to do everything I wanted! We can't wait to visit Philly again! Jesse and Libby were perfect hosts!

    Jennifer2015-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment provided a good central spot for our visit to Philadelphia. It was close enough to the convention center for my conference and had many interesting places to stop along the way. Everything was just under a mile away and made our experience enjoyable by having so much ease in getting around on foot. The apartment itself was a tidy and safe respite to come home to each evening. The hosts were very helpful and patient.

Comfy, cozy room in fabulous historic area! Near South St, Liberty Bell, Old City, Center City, Pennsylvania Hospital, Italian Market, TLA, Magic Gardens, Rittenhouse Square and many historic sites. Close to public transit and lots of restaurants.
This space is located on the second floor of a historic Philadelphia home. It is furnished with a double bed that sleeps 2. The room is equipped with a double bed, microwave, dresser, desk, 2 nightstands, and a chair. There is a shared bathroom next door. Other common areas include a fully-equipped kitchen, living room with basic cable TV, and backyard. There is central heat in the colder months and a window AC unit in the summer months.
The neighborhood is both charming and dynamic. The architecture imparts a sense of history while the bustling South Street area is full of restaurants, shops, and entertainment. The historic district is just a short walk away (5 blocks) where you'll find the Liberty Bell, Constitution Center and other landmarks marking the birthplace of this nation. There are two hospitals nearby (Pennsylvania Hospital and Jefferson Hospital) as well as numerous museums and parks.
  • Lovely Room in Fabulous Location is a quaint, and clean space to settle into for solo travelers or couples. It's in a great location and the city itself is very walkable. The apartment is a couple of blocks from the historical sites while being in a fairly quiet area considering it's a city. As a solo traveler, I appreciated that the bedroom had it's own lock which provided some extra safety and assurance. Although I did not meet Valerie in person, she made the space quite homey and provided recommendations for the area. Definitely recommend it!

  • Very nice apartment for the price. Self check-in was super easy and convenient. The space was overall pretty clean, had very good WiFi quality and the central AC was rock solid in the middle of summer heat and kept the place nice and cool. The two kitchen stools pictured in the listing are falling apart, so we couldn't really hang out at the little portable table. But otherwise great little space!

Fishtown has been called Philadelphia's trendiest neighborhood. At my little studio, you can be in the heart of it and yet still be just one block from the elevated train which takes you to Center City in 10 minutes. Enjoy coffee at La Colombe, German beer at the Frankford Hall beer garden, wine at Fishtown Social, spirits at Lloyd's, and live music at Johnny Brenda's. This is a comfortable 250 square foot completely private space with its own modern bathroom and soaring 25 foot ceilings.
  • Peter was very responsive and willing to be flexible when we were getting in early. Although Peter's description of the room was accurate, I should have read the reviews more closely of the apartment before I stayed. The apartment is essential under a train, so it was very loud when it passed by during the night and early morning. I don't think I took full advantage of the location, only being in the city for one night, but it is a unique area with some very walkable restaurants and bars. Overall, I would recommend with the caveat that the train is RIGHT THERE. Everything else was fine.

  • We didn't meet Peter but it wasn't necessary. The check in was pretty easy and the apartment is as described, very clean, wide and comfortable. It has all the basic things to sleep one or two nights. The only bad thing is the noise of the trains, even with earplugs it's difficult not to notice.

    Mario2017-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Good location near Fishtown and Kensington. Parking was easy and it was exactly what Peter said it would be.

    Sam2018-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lots to like in this room. Clean with new furnishings. Great lighting. Great location. Attentive owner. Privacy. Negatives - overhead metro tracks just out front door and trains are really loud. No place to hang clothes so take your own rack. Has refrig but no microwave. Owner allows you to bring your own. Bottom line - I would stay again.

    Hal2017-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Very convenient location, tidy studio that was just what we needed for our stay. Door from street opens right into the unit, which faces the street and subway, causing some noise pollution; it didn't bother us and we would definitely stay again.

    Gwendolyn2017-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • The space is small, but plenty big for 2 people. We thought the noise of the trains would bother us but it really didn’t at (Website hidden by Airbnb) added to our experience. The local restaurants were fantastic and it was so easy to get to the City Center.

Hi! Welcome to my listing. My name is Penny. I'm a management consultant/artist living in the University City/West Philly area and enjoy opening my home to travelers from near and far! The apartment is conveniently located in the Clark Park area close to the UPenn, Drexel, USciences, and a couple of subway stops from Center City. Everything you need is within walking distance - restaurants, coffee shops, movie theater, grocery stores, laundromat, wine & spirits, local beer, shopping, and more!
In this two bedroom apartment, the guest room is located in the back (so it's nice and quiet). You're going to love the bed - king sized memory foam mattress with a pillowtop for extra comfort. The couch is also surprisingly comfy with plenty of room to stretch out since it's the size of a twin mattress.
I love my neighborhood =) I've been living in this apartment for over two years, and I'm still discovering new places! The Clark Park/Baltimore Ave area has lots to offer. The area is beautiful and vibrant, with plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, bars, shops, and nature within walking distance.
  • The place was warm, clean and cozy. The king bed was very comfortable, and the room was secluded on the other side of the apartment which gives you a surprising amount privacy for a shared space. I was here for an interview in the city and it was an affordable, quiet place to crash!

    Alexander2017-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Conveniently located apartment to UPenn. Bed was super comfortable (Leesa type mattress). Apartment was much nicer than the building as a whole. Didn't bother me, but I'd recommend to not judge by looking at the exterior!

    Ross2017-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Super easy check in. The place is as described. The place is super clean and tidy. We’d come back

    Paris2017-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • The room at Penny's place was super clean and very quiet, as the rest of the apartment. The apartment has everything you need. Check-in instruction were precise and detailed. The price is very competitive. Wireless works best in the kitchen. Overall, it was great to stay at Penny's.

Great bars and cafes around. Frankford Hall is couple minute bike ride down the street, great German beer garden! Lots of philly bars have a "city wide" which is a beer and shot for $4 right near by as well. Great pizza joint and chesse steak place down the street too. Friendly, young and upcoming neighborhood!
  • Great stay, beautiful home with a welcoming host. Location is close to plenty of stores and restaurants.

  • Just a quick overnight stay. Jeff was a gracious host, and everything was in order.

  • Great place if you just need a safe and friendly place to sleep. Little bit of a walk from fishtown proper but still a good location. Jeff was so easy to communicate with and provided all the information, and was happy to do so!

    Hannah2016-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I had a great stay at Jeff's place although it was only for one night. It is located in a perfectly safe and quiet area and for those who come by car parking right in front of the house was no (Email hidden by Airbnb) munication was fast and easy! We would 100% recommend staying here

    Valerian & Christina2016-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had not the chance to meet Jeff, but he provided us with the door code and the appartment and the bedroom were great! I recommand it.

    Patrick2016-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Jeff's for two nights while I was interviewing for a job in Philly. The house looked like it was located in a slightly sketchy area, near the edge of Fishtown, but the inside of the house itself is great. The bathroom is clean and looks newly renovated. From the mason jar light on the bathroom to the skateboard shelves in the living room, Jeff has incorporated his interests and his personality into the space. It's interesting and a delight to experience. The room you will stay in is small, but clean. On the night I drove in, Jeff was working late and I ended up having to change the sheets myself. However, this is likely a rare occurrence and Jeff is a thoughtful host. Worth the price.

This is one of my resident's cozy two bedroom apartment in the city's Museum District. There are two separate bedrooms. It's a small-ish space, but perfect if you want to stay near and explore all the great museums. It's very clean and quiet too.
Hi, this is one of my resident's cozy two bedroom apartment right next to the city's Museum District. It's a perfect base to explore all of Philly's great museums. The apartment has a small second bedroom and a small, efficiency kitchen. Most people really love the location. Also, for a city apartment it's very quiet.
This is the center of Philly's museum district, so it's a great place to be if you want to be in the center of things. The Franklin Institute is literally across the street, The Barnes is a five minute walk down 20th Street, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art is just down the Parkway.
  • Heidi’s place was perfect for our weekend getaway. The location was great! Super easy self check-in instructions made it easy for us, especially since we were caught in traffic and arrived much later than expected. The AC units kept the entire apartment cool on days that were HOT & HUMID! The beds were also very comfortable. Great place all in all : )

    Bry2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Nice and quiet place.

    Xuankang2016-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • The pros: Great value and convenient location for walking to the Convention Center. Communications were prompt, easy and helpful. Self check-in made our late-night arrival time a non-issue (would have hated to keep our host up past midnight!). Comfortable beds, and I appreciated the space heater, as it was a bit chilly in the mornings. Listing and reviews were accurate, so we knew more or less what to expect. Neighborhood felt safe, and we both had earplugs, so were not bothered by any street noise at night. The cons: A few flights of stairs with suitcases. Fairly bare-bones amenities in the bathroom (single-ply TP and mini hotel shampoos/soaps) and kitchen (coffeemaker and filters, but no coffee), but we managed. Would have loved someplace to hang hangers in the small bedroom. As others have noted, there's no common area, so guests wanting to watch TV will be sitting together on the bed in the larger bedroom. Fine for my brother and me; maybe not for some guests traveling together. Neighborhood is a little lacking in food choices, particularly that stay open later in the evening. But the restaurant below the apartment was surprisingly good! Also had a very nice meal at an Egyptian/Mediterranean place nearby. Overall, compared to the cost of staying at one of the convention hotels, this was a no-brainer, and a pleasant walk to boot!

    L.2017-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was in a great locations for museums; the Franklin, Rodin, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Natural history museum at Drexel. The beds were comfortable and even though it was super hot, the air conditioning worked well and kept us all cool. It was also nice having a kitchen with a coffee maker and microwave. The area was very quiet, we didn't hear any noise from people or even traffic, which was nice. The only issue was the water temperature in the shower as other reviewers have mentioned. You just have to adjust the temperature before getting in and go real light on the hot water. As long as you are aware of it, it is not a big deal.

    Katherine2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Heidi had arranged everything for us when we arrived. The apartment was clean and was in a safe neighbourhood. The location was excellent, walkable distance from the Museum of Art. We parked in the garage on the corner of Race St & N 23rd St.

    Jaideep2016-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Someone met us and helped us locate the apartment, which was tucked away a little and not the easiest to locate. It was super nice that Heidi allowed us to drop off our bags before check in time. We had a pleasant stay in a great location. However, we wish that there was a chair or sofa to sit in after a long day of walking. Only kitchen chairs and an office chair were available. Good internet and nice television. The beds were comfortable. The shower was difficult to regulate hot/cold, so be aware. The kitchen implements were basic but fine. I suggest they add a wine/bottle opener. Very clean!

    Sarah2016-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great accommodation. Very spacious and clean! Check in procedure was very smooth & the host was very communicative and friendly! As we are English, we did miss having a kettle though! Apart from that everything was excellent

    Natasha2016-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • The location is definitely great, very close to the train and museums. Apartment is spacious and clean. Host is super nice. Highly recommended!

My place is in the heart of Center City--close to Rittenhouse Square and within easy walking distance of Old City and University City . You’ll love my place because of the location, the neighborhood, and the ambiance. The loft gives the studio a fun, urban vibe.
This is my lofted crash pad in Ritt square. It's a unique space less then one block from the square. The bed is up in the loft, so you need to climb the ladder (see pics). I'm calling it a "crash pad", but probably only in the Rittenhouse area of Philly would that term apply. It's a great, bright, unique space that I use when I'm too tired to get back to my house in Jersey after a late night working in the city.
It's the center of Rittenhouse Square, so it's the best of Philly for shopping, restaurants, strolling, etc.
  • The location is great and the decor is very cute. Plus, the loft makes going to bed fun. :) The place was clean, but not immaculate. However, it is most certainly worth it.

    Erica2017-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for a conference at the Convention Center. Wifi, iron, and comfortable bed were particular pluses.

    Rachel2016-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Cute small place. Very suitable if you ever lived in Williamsburg or Bushwick on the cheaper side. Minimal amenities. Thin walls, not much sound isolation, but again, totally fine if you're used to living in a city. Excellent location. Within walking distance to a lot of bars, movie theater, park, restaurant, shopping, etc.

  • I had to say the sheets, I could not sleep! Luckily I myself have a disposable bed sheet, toilet floor mat is too dirty, have taste!!!

    jie2017-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as advertised. The perfect little place, central to so much, in a great, safe part of the city. I will 100% stay here again. Thank you!

    Ed2017-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Based on our experience, the place is lovley and would be a good place to visit when it is warmer outside and when it's not at a prime price (we paid double of what the normal price is since it is the weekend before Thanksgiving weekend). Given we paid a slightly higher price but didn't get heat, it wasn't a very comfortable stay that made it worth it's price. Other than that, the location is great and the neighborhood is lovely. The apartment has nice architecture details which is what attracted me originally, but I think the apartment lacks some care to make it a cozy place in person. There was a hole on the floor in the living room where you can see into the basement, and there was no bathmat in the bathroom which made getting out of shower without making a mess quite a challenge. Would still recommend the place for its location, easy check-in/check-out process, and despite a few flaws in the apartment, it is still a cute place for budget travellers (if you can avoid peak season prices). Our host Maddie is very responsive and the instructions were easy to follow. We didn't bother to bring up the heat issue since it was a really short stay and we were outside almost all day long, so can't really assess the responsiveness regarding issues.

    Lesley2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • The place has an excellent location. Cleaning, location and the host was perfect. If you come for a few days to Philadelphia this is the best option. Thank you, Maddie.

Pennslanding/Queens Village - 1 block away from the water! *NOT SUITABLE FOR SENIOR CITIZENS (there are stairs)* Historic home with modern features! This is a private apartment within a building, Private!!!! Also, enjoy extra space in the basement playroom in addition to your apartment bedroom. With movie projector and full sized pool tables. Perfect for short stays LOCATION LOCATION!!! A short walking distance to South street, Delaware ave, Italian Market, Independence Hall, and City Hall
Please keep in mind that a hotel for a 1 bed in this area will cost $150+/night and it might not include WiFi. **Parking - While there is parking in the area I am not responsible for this service. I do not offer parking. However, I would park past Washington Ave going south, which is the opposite direction of South street. I always find parking in under 5 minutes following these directions! :)** **PLEASE READ: This home is set up as a brownstone, there are NO shared spaces. The Hallway is the only area that both units have access to. I will repeat. There are NO shared spaced (both units have a bathroom and a kitchen area: Microwave/refrigerator), the Hallway to the lower exit is the only area that both units have access to (I receive this question a lot and I want to make this very clear :) )** ** Your unit includes: private bath, fridge and microwave in the basement** **I have outsourced the cleaning services to a maid company so I can no longer accommodate early/late check ins as I have to abide by their cleaning schedule* **Take a look at my guide book: I have outlined all restaurants and sights!!! There is a restaurant across the street and a 711 one block away for quick snacks.** **All returning guests receive a 5% discount: Code is 107Penns** ***Small room with lower level bathroom and pool table perfect for couples or friends who do not mind sharing a very comfortable 12 inch thick queen sized bed.*** Located in Center City Philadelphia so all attractions are within walking distance! Located in a Posh area of Pennslanding/Queen's Village. This listing books fast because of the location and amenities compared to that of a hotel. Space has pool table, private room, projector, refrigerator/ microwave, and bathroom in an amazing area. Location is key and you are certainly in a prime location for all festivities. Queen sized bed (12 inch thick memory foam)
**Plenty of PARKING around the area as well as a paid parking lot if you feel more comfortable with your car being in a lot** The neighborhood of Pennslanding/Queensvillage is one of the oldest residential areas located in center city Philadelphia. This area is one block from Delaware ave which has a beautiful marina area where ships dock and restaurants on the water reside. Also, this area is in walking distance to old city (liberty bell), Italian Market and Society Hill
  • Really enjoyed our stay here. Glenn was super communicative and was flexible with us. The bar across the street is awesome. 20 minute walk from Philly “staples”, or short uber! Highly recommend this unit and we would definitely stay here again.

    Meg2018-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • The location of this place is wonderful! The only thing I would warn is that the stairs down to the lower level/bathroom are steep, and the ceilings down there are low. This wasn't an issue for me, but I imagine it could be for others. Also, there are no toiletries or anything provided, so make sure to bring what you need.

    Jenn2018-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time in Philly! This place is in a good spot! We did not have any problems during are stay. Although, the place was a little dusty, and it didn’t look like the picture (smaller than it’s semes). Alarm system’s always beeping. But, the bed and the bathroom were clean.

    Jess2018-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • DO NOT BOOK THIS LISTING!!!!!!! I don’t typically write negative reviews, but this place is well worth the time and effort. I would encourage anyone reading this to cross-reference the following complaints with other negative reviews for this listing. Doing that should give you a good sense of how bad the problems are here. 1) The Thermostat There is no thermostat. Or rather, there is, but it lives on the landlord’s phone, and only he can control it. I arrived at the apartment to find it freezing cold in the middle of June. When I asked the landlord to change the temperature, he said he had, but he clearly did not. I had to leave the windows open any time I left the apartment simply to normalize the temperature for when I returned at night. (It was very loud on the street nearby as well.) I was also forced to roll up towels and place them in front of the vents to avoid having frigid air blowing in my face all night. 2: The Alarm System The alarm system at this apartment beeps very loudly anytime anyone enters or exits through the front door. I was often woken in the middle of the night when rowdy tenants upstairs came and went, often as late as 4am. (The stairway to the second floor apartment is extremely creaky and loud.) I am typically a heavy sleeper, which gives you a sense of how loud the constant beeping was to wake me up any time it happened. When I texted the landlord about it, he ignored the issue. 3: The White Board The landlord has written the “essential” information about the place in tiny handwriting on a small whiteboard on the wall. Much of the important info is not on there, however, including information about the thermostat. This board is clearly designed as a way for this guy to have as little contact with tenants as possible, then blame them for any problems that happen later on by saying “it was on the whiteboard.” 4: The Front Door Lock He uses an electronic lock that did not work when I arrived. I had to wait on the stoop for 10 or 15 minutes while his cleaning people came and unlocked it manually. That was after he did not pick up my calls a few times. All the tenants in the other units had issues with the front door lock as well, which constantly set off the beeping alarm in the unit I stayed in. Total mess. 5: The Shower/Bathroom This unit has a retro-fitted shower with no shower curtain liner and not so much as even a hook for your towel. There was little to no toilet paper when I arrived, and the shower was still wet from a previous tenant. He also needs to get a rubber mat for the shower, since it becomes extremely slick when you use soap or shampoo, understandable given that the shower drains very slowly. Anyone even...

  • Great location! Walked to coffee in the morning and dinner at night. I actually stayed here with one of my employees and that probably wasn't the best idea because the 2nd bed is a little small for an adult, but for a couple, or a couple with a kid, this would be really great. Really great value for sure! Glenn was super responsive and nice. I actually buggered up the booking and selected Friday as the last night I wanted to stay, or thought that was what I did. When Glenn realized the error he was super nice about giving us a couple extra hours to come back and get our stuff packed up. I'd definitely recommend the place to others.

  • My boyfriend and I had a beautiful two-night stay at this home! There is a 7-11 a block away for quick items, and everything else (cheesesteak corner, restaurants, bars, Spruce Street Harbor) is just a few blocks away in any direction. I drove into the city and found a sweet spot to park my car for the weekend less than a block from the front door. Overall, the unit was beautiful, cozy, well furnished and featured a SUPER COMFORTABLE queen bed. The private bathroom, kitchen and game room were all just icing on the cake.

    Abiola2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Glenn’s place was great! Centrally located and everything within walking distance, a secure building, and comfortable bed. The basement is a little short if you’re taller but overall, we had a good experience.
